    Wagiu sushi roll

Food was okay the Wagyu roll was good just expensive for the portion at $34 dollars 8 pieces and the roll was quite small. I also had the spicy tuna hand roll was good, taste was there but for $10 dollars and the size was just a bite, I wouldn't buy it again. The shrimp tempura was okay but you could tell it was frozen and fried to order. Service tbh it felt like no one really knew anything . The host tried to explain the menu but she didn't really know what she was talking about. Our waitress was nice but really only came to take our order and brought our food . We spend a total of 30 minutes there . And yet I read a few reviews saying the service fee was 18% but when I checked our check it was actually 20% . So in total for 1 sushi plate a hand roll and a frozen tempura small plate was supposed to be $56 with service fee and taxes it ended up totally up to $72 . Honestly if they just upped their knowledge and customer service as well as the atmosphere it would've been worth it for the price . But from what it's now I don't believe it's worth it .

Great food, great staff and fun place! You can karaoke inside too :) The aesthetic of the sushi is great as well!

Tucked away on South Beach, this is an underground hidden gem. Very cute for drinks and bites for a date night or ladies night. It is a cute karaoke bar with Japanese influence. The staff were very friendly. The Japanese dragon drink was very impressive and as served in a box with smoke. The drink was a little more on the sweeter side. The sushi rolls were not as big as I am used to and the plantain on top of my Miami roll with Fuji sauce was not my favorite. I did enjoy the Japanese mule it was refreshing and the ginger beer wasn't too overpowering and the sexy roll was pretty good. My daughter enjoyed the mochi for dessert. Great vibe. Hope to come back again and try other dishes.

I was not impressed by the service nor the food. Not bad but basic . Food presentation is pretty but flavor is okay . The karaoke was fun

Spicy tuna roll and 4 amigos.

This sushi was 10/10. The miso soup was the best we have ever had. Our waiter was very attentive and quick. Can't brag more on this establishment!

The ambience is secluded and warm without losing its chic feeling. The two chefs had a great personality and we had great conversations. The food was absolutely amazing. Each course had a completely distinct flavor profile and played off one another very well. None where so over powering that it made the other seem bland. Extremely well balanced with amazing flavors. For a nice night out. Stay at the beach for the weekend, take an uber to the restaurant, immerse yourself for an hour or so of culinary delight, and let the outside world melt away in the experience.

We normally check the Michelin Guide first but there's none for Miami so we decided to browse through Tock for fun. This was how we stumbled upon Sushi Bar and we are so glad we did! The price point of $185 per seating is super worth it. You get a lot of fish and they are very creative with each nigiri. Their spin on it shows their creative side (with Miami flavors) but is not super over the top and sauce does not drown out the freshness of the fish. Something that stood out to me was how they shaved frozen monkfish liver as a topping. I wanna go back just for that!! They also had some pieces where they smoked the fish. Besides the food, I thought it was very creative how they welcomed guests with a welcome drink at the hotel bar. This was so unique! We finished ours early, and had some of their other drinks - they were all very good! Once they're ready, a server came to get us from the hotel bar and led us through an alleyway to a separate building which was where the actual omakase was taking place. The atmosphere was dark and gave off speakeasy vibes, which I thought was different to other omakase places. Bar is spacious enough to still have private conversations. We did the beverage pairing and we really appreciated the sommelier's knowledge. Overall, we would want to come back again for another tasting experience!!

It was about a 10 minute walk from our AirBNB off Washington Ave and 12th. It was surprisingly empty, except for 2 other customers, so service was quick! Our server and sushi chef were pretty quiet, but that was okay. I loved the mural on the wall. We ordered a few different rolls including their special rolls, and everything was delicious! There was an additional 18% service charge on top of added in 20% automatic gratuity. Overall, happy with this sushi option in South Beach that we found on a whim.

We sat at the sushi bar and got to see the chef masterfully prepare our rolls.

The sushi bar experience is so fun, and I'm a total sucker for hand rolls -- these are sooo good. Lately I've been ordering them on Uber Eats a lot too, and they've officially made it into my sushi rotation (honestly... kinda my main spot now). You don't get the hand rolls on Uber Eats, but the rolls are super simple in the best way, and the fish always tastes fresh to me. Also shocked they're not ranked higher?? I was NOT aware that their version of complimentary meant you are required to pay for it-- otherwise I would have politely declined. Docking 2 stars for that. Other than that small deception souring my overall experience, the fish itself was fresh and tasty, flavors not super unique and leaning more to a traditional flavor. I was informed their fish is all real and fresh, so I even tried the blue crab hand roll, as well as the lobster yuzu, tuna, and yellowtail. The lobster yuzu and crab were both equally a pleasant surprise though Im glad I only ordered one of each. Came around 4pm and was pretty quiet, so great place for a solo date or even a lunch meet. All things considering, I appreciate variety so $5 for a Happy Hour hand roll that has about 3 bites in it is fairly decently priced, though I did need at least 5 hand rolls to feel full.
