$55 for a "deluxe" 20-piece sushi platter that was underwhelming in size and missing soy sauce, ginger, and wasabi until I asked. When I expressed my disappointment, the owner/manager called me "unhinged." Fresh fish, but poor value and worse customer service. I won't be back.Horrible Human Who owns Mgr this establishment

Here at the original sushi bar in South beach they've been here since 1987. And they serve their sake in the most unique way, in bamboo cups. So I'm not usually a tempura kind of gal but this shrimp was perfectly battered and coated in a delicious sauce. Not eating this entire dish was a mission. then we had these gyozas. Served with two sauces and dipping them is a must. Now if you want luxury look no further than this tuna tartare, this is the pinnacle of luxury with caviar and gold flakes. The presentation is everything. Now if you want something delicate than you have to have this gorgeous white fish. It{s expertly sliced to the thinnest possibility, pure mastery. Now on to this sushi combo, it comes with sashimi, nigiri and a california roll, we upgraded which is a MUSt to their hamachi roll. Now misha declared this the best crispy rice he's ever had, so I need you to comment below if you agree. Okay but here we are, the moment I fell in love. I guess you can say I am a sucker for anything that comes in a banana leaf but geez. This is pure perfection. Sea bass in a miso sake sauce, its insane the contrast between the salty and sweetness. It{s light and yet so flavorful. It ruined fish for me forever. For the sweet finale a fried ice cream and mochi. My favorite was the mango mochi for sure. I don{t know if it was the twinkly lights, the gorgeous bamboo or the fact that they have Japanese seating but this spot truly blew me away.

Not shown - chicken fried rice was fabulous. Lobster tempura roll was great presentation and very tasty. Spider roll was not our favorite as the soft shell crab was a bit fishy. The ebi tenmaki was really good. The atmosphere was unique and felt welcoming Overall great staff very friendly and nice - food good!

The food is always great, service not bad but not great like their food. Always very quick even when busy. A little expensive but worth. If you have big eaters I will suggest you to order the fried rice before sushi and sashimi... been there with our kids! We love the ambience.

Service was very good and friendly. The sushi was very good and the tea was just as wonderful. The presentation was fun and our experience was delightful. Such a great experience, and highly recommend!

Tasty sushi and really fast service - like almost too quick. Easy to make a reservation on open table - and when we got there we got seated immediately. Like most restaurants, you can see them gradually fill out. It was practically full around 7:30-8. Like these reviews say, there's a 20% service charge already tacked on your bill, so you kinda feel weird when they also ask you to tip additionally electronically. I get it, times are tough, but just so you know going in. The sushi for 3 was good, but nothing to sing home about. It's what your expect, and I respect it. Ps they have hefty pours of wine so that's always a good sign :) Would come here if you want a casual sushi spot!

Best sushi I have eaten in years... top sushi of all time! So impressed with this restaurant that I can't wait to go back! Service was fast, bathroom was clean, food was seriously mind blowing.. and very fairly priced. I can't say enough good things.. just go!

Unassuming restaurant with quality raw fish. Have you ever seen anything more beautiful than the chef's choice at Toni's Sushi Bar (@tonissushibar)? I certainly haven't. follow me on IG for more recommendations!: @miamicheatdays

Toni's sushi is classic in south beach , we have been costumers since 1998 , the food is delish, service is good, the staff is friendly and nice , the ambience chic!!! It's great when the restaurants maintain their goodness!

I've been to a lot of sushi places and I have to say I wasn't impressed with this place. They charged a lot for what they give you. My Sushi was blind. I had to add all kinds of sauces to have it taste good. If you ask for water, also beware that is not free. They will charge you for the bottle. Tip is automatically included even for a party of four. Where we are from they don't charge tip unless you are a party of six or eight or more. I would not recommend the sushi place. I would suggest you try somewhere else.

Dined here on a Tuesday evening at approximately 8pm. We were greeted promptly and given a choice of where to sit. We ordered salmon carpaccio, Nameko miso soup, spider roll, Tenmaki roll, and beverages. Everything came out hot and fresh. The presentation was perfect. And the service was excellent. We will definitely return when we are back in the area. I would highly recommend dining here.

All I know is when it came to pay, I had to pay two separate bills to a business called Shimuja Ramen Stall 308 and a business called Iron Sushi, which is already super weird/ shady and confusing. So all's to say I am going to leave this review both here and on Iron Sushi. This was one of the worst "meals" I've ever had in my life. I had the Tokyo Shoyu, which had just two slices of 'pork belly'- even less than one of the buns I ordered-which really needed like pickled daikon or something to cut through it- it was just mayo (?)not even Asian Kewpie and lettuce (?) which just did not belong there. Sure it's fine to mix cultural ingredients but from this meal, I have a feeling that was not the intention. Back to the ramen- the broth had no depth whatsoever. Way too many noodles, that didn't even taste fresh. It was the cheapest ramen on the menu but even then I overpaid for this small bowl at 20$. My sister's meal looked pretty terrible and from what I tasted was incredibly overseasoned. The edamame were basically inedible unless you carefully popped the peas out of the shell but even then the salt on your hands after popping them out would shock the hell out of your taste buds. And the chicken yakitori were all fat somehow?

This is hands down one of my favorite meals of the year (yes, I do keep track because food is that…read moreimportant to me). For the price, the flavors were beyond what I expected. The mix of Japanese with Peruvian flavors was jaw dropping. We had 4 dishes and we loved each of them (and this is rare!). The salmon poke with the typical Peruvian sauce was stunning. The ceviche was our favorite bite. How do I even describe it?! It was some of the best Peruvian ceviche we've had and we are from Southern California and they have some pretty good Peruvian restaurants (not the best but good enough). The salmon heaven roll had a lovely smokiness or char flavor from torching the salmon. It paired well with the light sweetness of the miso sauce. Our only complaint was the spicy tuna roll had too much spicy mayo. We aren't huge Mayo fans but we know this isn't typical. People usually love the mayo sauces on sushi but we don't. It definitely was spicy unlike some places that say spicy but you can't even feel the heat. It's a super casual vibe so it feels like home becuase you can come right after the beach and feel right at home. Our server was super nice and friendly. We will DEFINITELY will be coming back!!

I ahf been to others and loves the food. My server was nice and cheery. I ordered several items off happy hour. Actually everything was on Happy Hour except the Miami roll. The Miami roll was the best item I ate. It had delicious flavor. Just perfect and fresh. The ceviche did not have a ton of time juice on it even though I asked for extra originally. My server did not come around too much because she had a pot of tables. The tuna tacos were disappointing. The fish did not seem fresh. This also seems overpriced at $10 on Happy Hour for these two tacos. The margarita I had was pretty good. The Spacedust beer was tasty. I do think this restaurant is a great value at Happy Hour. I recceived a lot of food and some nice drinks at a fair price. They include an 18% tip.
