    a variety of sushi rolls

I was in South Beach for about a week on vacation. Wanted something inexpensive and this option came up in my search. Everything was tasty and fresh. Nice service too Me and my wife will come back next time we are in town.

I was walking by that place a lot of times but yesterday decided to try it for the first time. Good things are that they have nice and cozy place inside. The quality of the food is just ok, California roll and jb roll were ok, edemame had too much pepper and oil, fried rice was also just ok. The young lady at the register was nice and friendly but some basic things should be improved, like paying attention to the customer order, offering napkins and asking if more then 1 set of chopsticks needed if there are 4 items. Also spicy mayo in my opinion was a little too spicy then in other places.

We are staying in a hotel nearby and was craving something we could take up in our room after hanging at the beach all day. We checked yelp and the reviews weren't too alarming so decided to stop by a get some takeout. The rolls we got were delicious and definitely hit the spot. Is a small place that you can either get it to go or eat in. There's no table service you need to order at the counter. Great option if you looking for something quick and un expensive. Everything in the area is over price and is nice to find a place with reasonable prices. I will definitely add it to my list for when I'm back in town.

Place is small. But food is super tasty and affordable. Wait time was a little long. Customer service could be better.

This is what I received, I'm REALLY disappointed, I always order form there. I call and I spoke with the manager and he told me to send all the food again and to wait 1 more hour to receive a new order. There's no cheese, the rice was in a really bad type and the manager didn't helped. I don't recommend this place. I'll never order from them again.

My birthday is in less than 4 hours and I thought how funny, they have a sushi cake!!!! it was even topped with my favorite rolls... Rainbow Rolls!!!! I Despise original California rolls, so I ended up asking if they could make it special... and man did they?!!!!! Idk what was in my roll, but it was crunchy and tasted like a butter fish!!!! Hands down the best sushi I've ever had!!!! If you don't know if this place is good based on the reviews, just go for it!!! They were swamped with mobile orders and did us great!!!!

    "MIAMI STYLE Spicy Miso"

If you can eat literally anywhere else on the beach, just go there instead. I ordered their " Miami style miso Ramen" and got this. Old, stale chicken that wasn't crispy as it claimed to be , very strange flavorless broth, toppings that I didn't ask for and didn't receive the ones I did ask for. I also ordered the salmon tempura roll which was edible, only because it was piping hot and deep fried (can't really mess that up). Waited over 40 minutes for food when I was told it would take 20. Nothing seemed sanitary ( and you can't even see the whole kitchen from the dining area) , but the sushi preparer continued wiping his knife on the same dirty towel after every use. Understaffed , but they are friendly. I wouldn't blame the employees for anything that I was dissatisfied with, but strictly the management and owners. Something needs to be done here.

Ordered here via Uber eats. One thing I will say if you plan to order, you cannot make any special requests to your food so that is frustrating. Also they are pretty traditional when it comes to the Ramen, there are no options they don't have pork, and very few vegetarian options on the entire menu. So if you are looking for a place with those options this is not here. Everything that we got was cooked well and overall it all had great flavor, I definitely suggest the nigiri it was really good and fresh. And well size, I would definitely come back to eat here again, but I will probably go in person so I can make special requests to my order.

4 star rating based on expectations of a reasonably priced fast food style sushi place. Obviously if we compared this sushi to nicer places quality wise I'd have to place it at 2.5. This was a good fast lunch. I found the chicken teriyaki bowl to be a little too heavy but my partner really liked it. Miso was great. Sushi was average for this type of place. We left full and happy and that's what matters. I will note that they very clearly need help staffing wise (like most of America rn). I didn't judge them or let the service affect my rating because it didn't seem fair. They didn't have a kitchen staff so they turned down several orders because they couldn't make them. The cashier was overwhelmed and obviously (and vocally lol) frustrated. We didn't hold it against them bc we get it, but if you're the kind of person that values service more then I'd suggest ordering this one as delivery instead.

Solid place in South Beach, Miami for inexpensive, average sushi. We've been coming here annually when visiting Art Basel and always enjoyed it. Recently, we've noticed a change in the flavor of the food. From being excited to eat here to "maybe we'll try a different place next year." As another review stated, we also found some of the rolls and soy sauce quite salty. If you're looking for an inexpensive sushi bite in South Beach this is not a bad spot, just adjust your expectations accordingly.

The ambience is secluded and warm without losing its chic feeling. The two chefs had a great personality and we had great conversations. The food was absolutely amazing. Each course had a completely distinct flavor profile and played off one another very well. None where so over powering that it made the other seem bland. Extremely well balanced with amazing flavors. For a nice night out. We normally check the Michelin Guide first but there's none for Miami so we decided to browse through Tock for fun. This was how we stumbled upon Sushi Bar and we are so glad we did! The price point of $185 per seating is super worth it. You get a lot of fish and they are very creative with each nigiri. Their spin on it shows their creative side (with Miami flavors) but is not super over the top and sauce does not drown out the freshness of the fish. Something that stood out to me was how they shaved frozen monkfish liver as a topping. I wanna go back just for that!! They also had some pieces where they smoked the fish. Besides the food, I thought it was very creative how they welcomed guests with a welcome drink at the hotel bar. This was so unique! We finished ours early, and had some of their other drinks - they were all very good! Once they're ready, a server came to get us from the hotel bar and led us through an alleyway to a separate building which was where the actual omakase was taking place. The atmosphere was dark and gave off speakeasy vibes, which I thought was different to other omakase places. Bar is spacious enough to still have private conversations. We did the beverage pairing and we really appreciated the sommelier's knowledge. Overall, we would want to come back again for another tasting experience!!

The sushi bar experience is so fun, and I'm a total sucker for hand rolls -- these are sooo good. Lately I've been ordering them on Uber Eats a lot too, and they've officially made it into my sushi rotation (honestly... kinda my main spot now). You don't get the hand rolls on Uber Eats, but the rolls are super simple in the best way, and the fish always tastes fresh to me. Also shocked they're not ranked higher?? Julio checked in on us many times to assure things were fabulous (they were!) and Chef Byron was friendly and engaging. I've had a catered meal outside the restaurant before, but tonight was my first in house dinner. It was delicious, and did not disappoint! Woohoo! I showed up around 7:45p with a friend after a long day of exercise, and it sounds like we arrived just after the dinner rush. Lots of open seats at the sushi bar (and super cute couches with tables outside). We were surprised to learn about Sushi Sunday, which included killer deals on drinks ($5 beer/wine, as well as some other signature options for $7 and $10), as well as deals on lots of appetizers, hand rolls ($5), and desserts. We sat inside and the cool AC was perfect for us. I tried 3 hand rolls: lobster, salmon, and truffle avocado. Each was prepared quickly and expertly by Chef Byron. My friend also tried the scallop hand roll. The nori (seaweed paper) was crispy and fresh, and all the ingredients were delicious. We also tried the tuna crispy rice (slight variations in the size of each bite, but the flavor was spot on), a surf and turf roll (yummmmm), salmon sashimi, and the chocolate lava cake with caramel ice cream. The sashimi was cut beautifully and came with some greens and a tasty sesame and soy/yuzu sauce for a little flair. The cake was more cooked than lava, but it was rich and the perfect amount of sweetness that paired beautifully with a "Black Velvet" martini (their take on an espresso martini which had sake in it). I am so happy to have found this neighborhood gem on West Ave, and will consider this a top spot! I plan to go back, and you should too!!
