I've been dying for Beaumont and the surrounding area to have more Filipino food in general and was so excited to see this place rebrand and have Filipino food on the menu. It is a very cute restaurant! When we got in it took just a little bit for us to get our orders in and for the food to arrive *BUT* you could tell it was because everything that everyone ordered was being made fresh right then and there. This is my first time posting a review, but I felt like more people need to know about this place because of how great the food was. Me and my friend each got an order of the sizzling sisig, and then split garlic rice and sinigang wings. I would go back for any of those in a heartbeat, and plan on doing so soon! read more

I've been several times and every visit has been fabulous. I think the most important thing to know is this is an expert run restaurant. This is not fast food, fast casual, or some slapdash affair. Everything I've had was made with care, precision, and finesse. I'm over joyed to trade any concessions of speed for the flavors, textures, and balances I've enjoyed again and again. The staff has always been divinely friendly and I love seeing a family owned spot where they make site top take care of themselves and take time off. But the food and drinks are beyond compare. GWe went with a crowd of 10, so basically had the chance to order most of the menu, and not one thing was mediocre. Our favorites were the house special wings (& I'm not a wings person!), chicken katsu, curry noodles, and salmon Sinigang. But the green beans were also delightful. Kat, who I believe is the owner and chef, was so kind and friendly! Their only drawbacks were that they have no liquor license and you can't bring your own (despite the liquor store across the street), and that they close at 8pm on Saturday night. I want to make this a longer review soon but for now I just want to say 5 star location and it was well earned. Service was impeccable. The ambiance has plenty of tables with red metal chairs and beautiful art work. They have two bathrooms available for guest. The food it made me say "mmm" more times than any other restaurant ever. I can't wait to go back but for now I recommend the ube horchata, Turon matcha latte, pop corn chicken, & gochu-crunch rangoons, as well as the camaron de kasama. Everything had so much flavor and was made with love you could tell. They have an exclusive spring menu coming April 11th! You must try the chicken lettuce cups and illocos tacos when you get the chance. They are known for their wings! Come now & try Chef's Kat food with your own mouth! You will not regret it! We had originally chosen this place as a quick stop on our way to Coachella since we saw some festival specials they had going on. However, the staff seemed a bit confused when I ordered off that menu. A second staff member then came out and informed us the festival specials were for Sunday and Monday for those leaving the festival...even though their website clearly says Thursday - Saturday. Not a huge deal and we ended up just ordering off their regular menu, but I feel like if you're going to specifically advertise festival specials, then they should be available on the advertised dates and the staff should be educated. It was pretty disappointing because I specifically came for something on the festival fuel menu. Later when we were waiting for our food, we overheard another customer complaining because they were charged more than what the menu prices stated. It seems they were going to be transitioning to a new menu soon, but the implementation and rollout was just not great.  SINIGANG FRIED CHICKEN WINGS: We really wanted some chicken wings to share and it looks like these are one of their specials, so of course we had to order them! The individual wings were a bit small but each bite was packed with a ton of flavor.  CRAB RANGOONS: Perfectly fried; I finished the whole bag while we were still in the car! SISIG PLATE: Decent flavor and texture but nothing amazing. Be aware some bites may be extra spicy because of the jalapenos! I thought it was interesting that they provided fish sauce on the side, maybe from their Chinese fusion side? My friend ordered one of the Chinese 2 item entree plates and was not as enthused about her food, noting that the portion sizes were small and the taste wasn't that great.  Overall, a decent option to stop by for a meal, but I think it can be hit or miss depending on what you order. Be wary if you're coming by for any specials that they're offering since it seems like the staff isn't always informed. read more

I've been wanting to try this place for a long time and I'm so glad I finally did. It's really cute inside and casual which I appreciate. We ordered lumpia shanghai and ahloo's curry noodles. Both were delicious! The young man working the front of house was really nice and helpful. We were there on a Friday night around 5pm and it was pretty busy. Lots of walk in to go orders and call in orders as well as in person diners. I want to first say the employees are very customer focused and kind. For that reason I will be back! I came in to check out the food because it keeps popping up to try and I love Filipino food! The restaurant was very clean when I walked in. Coming from work I just wanted to do a pickup. I wanted to try the skewers, but they were unfortunately out already. I wanted to try the fried chicken and that was also sold out. It was recommended that I try the Sinigang wings. She even asked me how long my drive home was because she wanted them fresh and crunchy for me. I also tried the pork lumpia. When I got home the food was perfectly fresh (everything is cooked fresh). The flavor was pretty good, they definitely have their own spin on Filipino food, but it was very sour for me, but still not bad. The lumpia was very crunchy, but the flavor wasn't the best for me. Maybe I don't usually get pork, so it could be my own issue. Or maybe they are just made different. I would want to go back and try something different next time, probably the items they were out of and maybe vegetable lumpia. I usually order my lumpia from a caterer so maybe it's just a different type of lumpia. I wanted to add that today the food was even better after heating in the air fryer. kasama is seriously a diamond in the Beaumont rough. Our must-order every time is the family meal--it's around $60 and easily feeds about 6 adults, which is a great deal for how much food you get. The food actually tastes fresh and real, like it's made with quality ingredients and has substance. You can tell they put care into what they make. Just know that the food can take a little while to come out, so be patient--but honestly, it's worth the wait. I didn't understand why we couldn't sit and wait and wasn't going to waste my time arguing so we went somewhere else. No food is good enough to wait forever for especially being told we couldn't have a sit and wait because of whatever bs explanation she gave me. Not sure we will be back but who knows....maybe it was one of those days. Update and response to owner: The tables were "reset" and ready for seating. The waitress stated we couldn't sit because there were only two cooks and pretty much all orders were behind 20 minutes. She still didn't take the orders of two other tables and even though I told her we were okay with the wait, she said she still couldn't seat us. In addition to that, besides it being a holiday weekend, I've stated that other times we've had to wait even during the middle of the week. The prices are too high for Filipino food. The sizzling sisig was $20, but the portion was more like something you'd get at a fine dining restaurant--very small. My pancit bihon was overly sour, and the chicken wings were just okay--probably decent because they're easier to prepare. On top of that, they added a merchant fee to our bill. If you're aiming to serve Filipino cuisine, I suggest rethinking your business approach. Considering the taste, portion sizes, and pricing, I'd rather dine at Noypitz instead. Good luck ! The Wings, short ribs and shrimp were really good!!! I'd come back for those. The garlic rice had good flavor but I'm not a fan of jasmine rice. I like my rice sticky. Still good tho. First time there. Walked in at lunchtime. A little busy. Stood patiently to be acknowledged. Nothing. Finally asked if I could order takeout. She replied yes, but they were busy and there would be a 30 minute wait for the food. So I sat down expecting her to take my order at least. No. Nothing. Would not even look my way. The ambiance has a very friendly atmosphere. I ordered the tofu sisig and my friends ordered the breakfast burrito w/ fried tofu, loco moco, and a beef dish (Mongolian beef I think). I liked the tofu sisig. I think they use chicken liver paste but they have a vegetarian alternative. The portion was a little small for what you pay. I thought that the rice that comes with it was a little too dry. I'm glad there's a Filipino restaurant in town. Will give this place another shot. read more

This is a new restaurant for Beaumont that we decided to try and I'm glad that we did. The shop is very small, but very clean. Henry, who took care of us is the waiter, cashier, chef and a very, attentive, and made sure that we had everything that we needed. The egg soup was probably one of the best I've had. The lumpia was not greasy. It came to us warm as did the cream cheese wontons. I've never had Loco Moco before and I very much enjoyed this, a lot of garlic. A lot of good with great prices.
