Today was our first time here and we really just wanted a warm bowl of soup for this chilly night. But not only did we both get a bowl of soup me the egg drop, husband the hot & sour we also ordered the steamed wontons and lumpia (sorry no pictures we ate it to fast). The soups and the appetizers were both very fresh and tasty. I really loved the wontons & the lumpia's were made to order, so delightful and crispy. The young man in the front of the house was very friendly and helpful. The owner Kat was very nice she came to our table and had a conversation with us, she shared her passion with the restaurant and how much it means to her to be part of our community. I want to make this a longer review soon but for now I just want to say 5 star location and it was well earned. Service was impeccable. The ambiance has plenty of tables with red metal chairs and beautiful art work. They have two bathrooms available for guest. The food it made me say "mmm" more times than any other restaurant ever. I can't wait to go back but for now I recommend the ube horchata, Turon matcha latte, pop corn chicken, & gochu-crunch rangoons, as well as the camaron de kasama. Everything had so much flavor and was made with love you could tell. They have an exclusive spring menu coming April 11th! I want to first say the employees are very customer focused and kind. For that reason I will be back! I came in to check out the food because it keeps popping up to try and I love Filipino food! The restaurant was very clean when I walked in. Coming from work I just wanted to do a pickup. I wanted to try the skewers, but they were unfortunately out already. I wanted to try the fried chicken and that was also sold out. It was recommended that I try the Sinigang wings. She even asked me how long my drive home was because she wanted them fresh and crunchy for me. I also tried the pork lumpia. When I got home the food was perfectly fresh (everything is cooked fresh). The flavor was pretty good, they definitely have their own spin on Filipino food, but it was very sour for me, but still not bad. The lumpia was very crunchy, but the flavor wasn't the best for me. Maybe I don't usually get pork, so it could be my own issue. Or maybe they are just made different. I would want to go back and try something different next time, probably the items they were out of and maybe vegetable lumpia. I usually order my lumpia from a caterer so maybe it's just a different type of lumpia. I wanted to add that today the food was even better after heating in the air fryer. This is a pleasantly delicious gem. It was busy on a Thursday evening around 7pm. The service was friendly. I they were a little understaffed and the waitress told us that. She was very polite. The ambiance has a very friendly atmosphere. I ordered the tofu sisig and my friends ordered the breakfast burrito w/ fried tofu, loco moco, and a beef dish (Mongolian beef I think). I liked the tofu sisig. I think they use chicken liver paste but they have a vegetarian alternative. The portion was a little small for what you pay. This is a new restaurant for Beaumont that we decided to try and I'm glad that we did. The shop is very small, but very clean. Henry, who took care of us is the waiter, cashier, chef and a very, attentive, and made sure that we had everything that we needed. The egg soup was probably one of the best I've had. When you leave a 5 star review yelp asks you "what went well?"... honestly the entire experience was amazing. When we walked in we were warmly welcomed by the staff and they took the time to explain the dishes and what to expect. We ordered 4 items and were blown away with all of our choices. First was the steamed wontons with a crunch chili garlic sauce which had a slight heat but huge pop of flavor. Garlic rice as an add on to our main dishes, this the best garlic rice I have ever had, perfectly cooked and a nice mild but very present flavor. My wife ordered the surf and turf and I will come back just to order that for myself, the ribs and shrimp were both perfectly cooked. I ordered the Beijing Beef which was extremely tender, flavorful and a very generous portion. Ambiance was great as well with a good mix of music in the background and a very warm feeling to the restaurant with the decor and furniture. But after about 20+ minutes, I overheard something from the kitchen that made my jaw drop: "To-go orders can wait, dine-in comes first." Unfortunately, mine was the only to-go order. As new guests came in, my ticket kept getting bumped back. By the time I finally got my food, I had been waiting close to 45 minutes--for lumpia and pancit. The food itself? Average. My husband wanted to surprise me, cause i wanted to try the only Asian Filipino restaurant near the area. And they always pop up on my YELP page, asking if I have tried Kasama Restaurant. So, while my husband was around the area he checked out their menu so many selections. He asked the young lady how long of wait if he would ordered any dish on the menu. She said they have to still cooked will be a wait for whatever will be ordered. So since he didn't want to wait awhile for any dish on the menu to be prepared. He decided to just ordered their traditional Halo-Halo (mix- mix) icey desset drink with different sweet fruit ingredients inside the glass. He thought by ordering these Halo-Halo will be fast in preparing and so he can just order to go so he can get home afterwards. WRONG, took 30 minutes to prepare. And not a traditional Halo-Halo. Only thing on these Halo-Halo that traditional is the Ube ice cream. My husband and I had to finished cause to expensive to waste. Both my husband and I was trying to see if we would taste some, Leche flan, halaya (ube) beside the ice cream, if any keong, jack fruits, macapuno (sweet strings coconut) etc. NOPE! Only ingredients on these Halo-Halo is mostly different color of jello, beans, rice crispy pieces top with 1 scoop ube ice cream, smeared strawberry or red jelly on the plastic glass,crush ice, milk, and top whatever 1 scoop of ice cream you choose and whatever they have available.
