I was next-door getting a pedicure and my girlfriend talked me into coming in here for sushi and giving this place a second chance. Walking in the store this time there was no foul odor other than fish. They were busy as almost every table was occupied. They only had one person taking orders and it took about 25-30 minutes for us from the time we sat down to the time we ate. The lady that took our order is not very personable. on the sushi rolls they give you no options for rice alternative (rice paper, sharitaki, or cauliflower rice) The saving grace was the food is good. The Ramen broth was reasonably flavorful, but it did not have that depth of flavor that is from a multi ingredient and long simmering broth. Amazing tasting food, we got the Original Beef Ramen , Miso Bbq chicken ramen, Vegetable Ramen, and the sushi, all of which taste great and in solid portions. The place was fully packed at 7:00PM on a Saturday with no extra seats however we didn't have to wait in any line to get seated. This place I used to recommend, lately they have raised their prices and gotten very cheap on their food, the owners have obviously dropped the ball. I went in there tonight. The prices were high and the sushi was his thin as a paper. The waitress came over and asked me how everything was so I told her. Longest wait I've ever had for 3 rolls it took an hour and 30min when I ordered to go. Not only was the restaurant practically empty I ordered after their lunch before any dine in customers entered. This was my first time trying this sushi spot and honestly it was a rough experience. As soon as I walked in there was a strong vomit-like smell hanging in the air. It completely killed my appetite and made it hard to even look at the menu with interest. The service was just okay. A younger person was running the front and while I try to be understanding, I've kind of stopped expecting much from customer service with the younger crowd. At this point I just assume the bare minimum and avoid disappointment. I got my roll and took one bite but it wasn't enjoyable at all. I couldn't tell if the taste was actually off or if the smell in the air was messing with how everything tasted. Either way, I didn't want another bite. I didn't even drink the water because I was genuinely concerned the smell could be coming from the water supply or something nearby. I took it back inside and explained to them that the description of this item on their menu does not say it has anything in it besides cream cheese and sauces. The sushi isn't even that good the only way eating here was worth it was that deal. I have been going here since they first opened and this is a huge disappointment.
