Just OK. The fish is sliced improperly and inconsistently (thick pieces and some pieces not cut against the grain). Fish tasted fine and not old. Only got pieces of jalapeño (not even a full circle slice? C'mon!). The imitation wasabi was the color of Playdough, and they use KariOut soy sauce packets. The flavors were there but you can get better quality sushi for the same or a buck or two less per roll. It took 24 minutes for one roll to-go. Had the takoyaki on another visit and the octopus inside was so incredibly tiny (and tasted frozen/microwaved). This was my first time trying this sushi spot and honestly it was a rough experience. As soon as I walked in there was a strong vomit-like smell hanging in the air. It completely killed my appetite and made it hard to even look at the menu with interest. The service was just okay. A younger person was running the front and while I try to be understanding, I've kind of stopped expecting much from customer service with the younger crowd. At this point I just assume the bare minimum and avoid disappointment. I got my roll and took one bite but it wasn't enjoyable at all. I couldn't tell if the taste was actually off or if the smell in the air was messing with how everything tasted. Either way, I didn't want another bite.
