    Baked Lobster Roll
    Liz S.

The food was delicious. First we loved the California Tempura Roll and secondly the Beef Miso Ramen with chicken were our favorites. We aren't huge on seafood so the baked lobster roll wasn't our favorite so we took it home to my husband and he loved it! The restaurant was busy, the service was quick and friendly, the food was delicious. We will be back!!

I was next-door getting a pedicure and my girlfriend talked me into coming in here for sushi and giving this place a second chance. Walking in the store this time there was no foul odor other than fish. They were busy as almost every table was occupied. They only had one person taking orders and it took about 25-30 minutes for us from the time we sat down to the time we ate. The lady that took our order is not very personable. on the sushi rolls they give you no options for rice alternative (rice paper, sharitaki, or cauliflower rice) The saving grace was the food is good. The flavor of the food I would give a 5 out of 5.. The lady that took our order when she brought out our glasses and food. Her hands were inside the glasses and the bowls when she put them down on our table.

Good sushi two hours east of LA? Why yes! The nigiri prices are very reasonable and the sushi rice is seasoned and the right texture. The salmon and yellowtail are melt in your mouth good. The salmon collar was some of the best I've had. The servers were very attentive and friendly. Very relaxing and casual atmosphere. Great for kids as well. Definitely recommend this place!

The service and food was excellent. I had a takeout order. Did not have to wait very long.

Original Beef Ramen on the Bottom, Vegetable Ramen on Top.

Amazing tasting food, we got the Original Beef Ramen , Miso Bbq chicken ramen, Vegetable Ramen, and the sushi, all of which taste great and in solid portions. The place was fully packed at 7:00PM on a Saturday with no extra seats however we didn't have to wait in any line to get seated. Great price point for the food and I would come back if I'm ever in the area. Ambiance wasn't too loud and the music wasn't overpowering.

Chicken miso ramen with california roll & spicy baked salmon roll. Extra noodles, spicy mayo, chili oil.

My husband and I have been eating at Darumaya for over a year now and every visit has been met with kind service and delicious food!

If you're looking for a good local sushi spot then look no further. Darumaya is great for satisfying your sushi cravings. The customer service is great, Angelina up front taking orders is nice, patient and has a vast amount of knowledge about the menu. I highly recommend giving it a try.

Sushi is good. As for their ramen, you'd be better off with instant ramen. The candy after the meal is great, though.

We were in the mood for sushi and didn't want to go far so we thought we would try this spot out…read more I'm so glad we did! To be honest it's in a part of town that I always forget about, so I'm glad it popped up first when I googled it! We got here for an early dinner around 545pm on a Saturday night. There was one other table occupied, and another came in as we were getting our food. The restaurant was a lot bigger than I expected it to be. It was very clean, and all of the booths, tables, and chairs looked like they were in fairly new condition. The owner greeted us as we walked in, waited a few minutes and took our drink order. Before bringing out our drinks she brought over complimentary miso soup and my little loved it! We ordered 2 rainbow rolls and a lobster roll. I always try my go to rolls when trying our a new place, and if I like it, I'll get more daring with the menu! We had enough time to enjoy our soup and talk a little before our rolls came out. It didn't seem rushed, and we were ready to eat! Everything was delicious! The fish on the rainbow roll was fresh and had great flavor and consistency. We loved them! The lobster roll was so good! The sauce drizzled over had a little kick to it, but it wasn't too much at all. The roll wasn't too big, and had a great amount of topping on it. Again, we loved it! The table next to us ordered the garlic edamame and it smelled absolutely divine! I really regret not ordering it as well! Definitely next time!! The prices were pretty consistent with other sushi restaurants, if not a little cheaper. I honestly couldn't believe at 6pm on a Saturday night that it wasn't more packed. I don't know if it's the area, or what because it certainly isn't the food or service. I really hope this spot does well and stays around for a long time. It is so nice to have a great sushi restaurant 8 minutes from home! I can't wait to come back!

But the food is just painfully subpar. -Tempura Shrimp was limp. -The egg rolls were good. Nice and crunchy. -The Yakisoba tasted like it was pre-made/store bought and then microwaved. -My spicy chicken teriyaki bowl had the same problem as the Yakisoba but the stuff I get at the Sushi Bar at Stater Brothers is FAR better. We usually like going to Darumaya in Banning, but I'm not a Sushi guy and they recently got rid of their rice dishes, the one thing of theirs I really liked eating. But like I said, the lady is SO nice, it just breaks my heart to say the food isn't great. :/

We thought we'd have to wait hours, but arriving at 6:35 PM, and the next dining time was 7 PM. Since there was no line to get in, we saw people go up to the servers, show the 7 PM ticket at 6:40 PM, and were quickly seated anyways. Price: $48 per person. Drinks included. Parking free. I lived in Vegas for a few years, tried most of the buffets (Bacchanal, Wicked Spoon, Wynn, etc.), and gotta say. THIS BUFFET IS PROBABLY ONE OF THE MOST ENJOYABLE BUFFET EXPERIENCES I'VE HAD. SO GOOD! 100% RECOMMEND. Why? - Price point is reasonable considering the quality of food. - Food Quality is LEGIT! Almost every item we ordered was actually delicious. Other buffets I'm used to wide variety but mediocre dishes. Each dish at this spot was legit GOOD. - Each item tasted almost as something I would willingly order at a restaurant, and enjoy - Concept is fun and refreshing. Each "station" having their set menu, with food prepped to order. I initially thought we'd have to wait a while, but we never waited more than 5 minutes in a line - Free parking. Drinks included. - Dessert was FANTASTIC Overall, 100% worth it. Not sure of the poor reviews and overall under 4 star rating, but to me this buffet is a 5/5 spot. So good. Normally I go to Yaamava, but today, came to Morongo to specifically try out their new style buffet. So first, you set your dining time & pay for it at the kiosk, located at the entrance of the restaurant. Return at your reservation time & get seated, get some simple instructions on how things work here, and start eating. Dining area was a little smaller, but decorated nicely, fairly clean. Staffers were all nice & attentive. 7 restaurants or food stalls to choose from, each having their own menu to serve. This is were the problems started. The quality of the food was mostly meh at best, with a few choices as pretty good. The prime rib was excellent, but the sides were meh, mash potatoes were overly salty & cold, the cajun shrimp & grits were thick & gummy. The omelet station was good, hot & fresh, (cooked to order) & pizza was also pretty good. Everything else was either overly salty or lacked flavor, served cold or at best, room temperature. Most of the desserts were overly sweet. Overall the dining experience was unique and different. There were a few items of greatness among the mostly meh. I believe this place could be successful with better quality control & lowering their price down a bit, or include the ayce crab legs!

It definitely has a cool street-food vibe with different food options to choose from. Prices were about food-court range (around $12-$18 per plate). I ordered the beef pad Thai, but sadly it was pretty dry and didn't hit my Thai food craving . I also asked for lime (because pad Thai NEEDS lime ‍ lol) and they didn't have any available. One thing to note: the portions come on very small brown plates and honestly felt more like sampler sizes than full meals. Seating is also limited. There isn't much space right by the vendors, and you have to walk a few feet away to find just a few tables and chairs. They do offer other foods besides Thai (some street-food style and Asian-inspired options), so there's variety if you're with a group Overall, cute concept and convenient while shopping, but portion size, dryness, and seating made it a little underwhelming for us

Mind you it was all $97! Insane, this isnt a restaurant either! You sit outside with the flies and I guess they even knew how gross it was too. We would not reccommend- we had to throw it away after 3 bites. You would think for these prices were at a restaurant. So either theyre making up for having rent at the outlets or something. It was actually so insane and we shouldve also checked the yelp reviews like Jennifer said as well. I agree with her and it is true theres a reason why they dont show the prices on their trucks and I assume not until you ask for a paper menu I assume? Also likeeee HOW DO YOU MESS UP THAI TEAS?! I don't understand how they're still in business. As for ambiance, it's just a food truck within the Cabazon Outlet with tables and chairs. The best advice I can give is... AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE. We ordered pad thai and it was $18... which should be a crime in itself. The noodles were extra soggy and covered in some weird sweet and sour sauce that made me gag. The way they cooked the eggs looked and tasted even more pathetic. I know for a fact whoever cooked it had absolutely no idea what they were doing. We threw everything away in the trash. I should have asked for my money back. Aside from the noodles, we also ordered two orange iced teas which we ended up tossing out as well... another 20 bucks in the garbage. I'm glad I didn't order anything else from this authentic thai food truck. Everything was so bad I was compelled to write this review immediately after we left. I've had bad thai food many times before but this was by far the worst ever. The food we ordered was NOT edible! I am now questioning everything else in that truck. Something is definitely off and I don't know why I have a feeling they would not pass inspection if they had a surprise visit from the inspector. We had our food passed to us through a dirty mesh screen which should have been another red flag. They advertised authentic thai food but also sold tacos as well. Strange. In total, we wasted approximately $40 on overpriced garbage. We're pissed that we didn't read the reviews first before coming here. LESSON LEARNED.
