Fire Fire Roll
Daniel R.

Wife was craving some spice and we decided to satisfy it with Tuna Time's Fire Fire Rolls! We came on a cool Thursday evening with a light sprinkle of rain outside. Since the inside was extra cold with the air conditioning, we decided to sit outside and enjoy the quiet atmosphere. The staff was very attentive and constantly came outside to check on us. The Fire Fire Rolls are beautifully plated with great contrasting colors of the red masago, red onion, and cilantro. If you order, make sure you have plenty of water and that your taste buds are prepared for an adventure! Definitely recommend coming here to try it out!

Giant Poki Salad and an order of oysters

My first time here I came with my friend who is a regular at this place. The servers greeted her the same way they greeted me, so it was really nice knowing they don't immediately judge if you'll tip well or not. I know some places do. Our server Ashley was super friendly, and checked up on me while I waited for my friend to meet me there. She made sure I was okay with waiting with just a water and made small conversation while I waited which is super appreciated. Because my friend is a regular here, she already knew what foods to order, but I did have a baked roll to go and it was delicious. My friend's dad is a fisherman so she's super picky about the raw fish she consumes but her and I both have to agree that this place has one of the freshest fish in the area. We also had oysters, and the oysters aren't small but they aren't ginormous either. The sauce they put on the oysters are so delicious I could probably drink it by itself. Glad I had the oyster to complement it though. Great little restaurant to have a lowkey meal and the music selection is enjoyable as well.

Toro and Ono sushi was so delicious

Take my 5 stars with a grain of salt...we are in the IE after all, and for it being the IE, this place is a gem! Every time we eat here everything is delicious! The specials are creative and fresh. The rolls are delicious, and they have fresh wasabi. Not to mention they always have otoro which you do not get the option At some other sushi places. The one complaint I have is that they can be a bit slow at times to get our food out. Not all the time, but there have been a few occasions. Great sushi!

Sexy Spicy Salmon Crunch Roll

Brought my mom and sister here for a casual birthday dinner and had great experience. We were only able to sit at the bar because the tables were packed and without us even having to ask, the service team offered to move us to a table to be more comfortable. They were extremely attentive and friendly throughout the whole meal; continuing to ask if we needed anything else and ensuring all drinks (even waters) were topped off and cold. The owner also was present and hustling hard with her team to make sure dinner was running smoothly for everyone. Food was fresh and delicious, there was a lot of variety of different things we mixed and matched to make the best birthday dinner. Prices were amazing and extremely reasonable considering the portions and a far cry from what it costs in LA. This is our new go to sushi spot after just one visit; as a huge plus is they also have an outdoor patio to be able to sit with the doggos. There doesn't seem to be a lot of flashy restaurants available in Yucaipa but places like Tuna Time seem to make up for that with a winning combination of great food, great prices and great service. Can't wait to go back and try more!

Another excellent dinner here last night. I'm still letting everyone know this place is the best sushi in yucaipa. Here are a couple photos of yesterday afternoon...

My second time here was another 5* experience. I ordered the vegetarian egg rolls and the tuna fever roll. The tuna fever roll may be the best sushi roll I've ever had. It tastes so fresh and delicious. I will definitely be back!

Genuinely some of the best sushi out there. The owner is incredible friendly and service is fast and attentive.

We haven't been here in a while and we're glad to see that they have outdoor seating now. This opens up the seating for a few more people. The inside is relatively small so the outdoor addition is a positive. The baked salmon roll was very good and so was the sexy spicy roll. If I had to choose I'd pick the baked roll.

Horse mackerel sushi

The freshest sushi in Yucaipa. Not the standard all you can eat. This is better and fresher. The chef is fantastic.

This is my second time giving this place a try because I thought I rated it too harshly the first time but I literally bit into a shell in my incredible roll and it grinded against my teeth

Amazing food, Service was amazing all for a great cost. Location is a bit far from the freeway but worth the drive. 10/10 recommend.

We ended up deciding on 21 Sushi house since we haven't been here in months. In the past we've typically gone here for dinner, however, today we arrived at 12:30 for lunch. We were surprised to see that there was only one other customer who is just finishing up his meal at the sushi bar. As we entered the front doors, we were welcomed by a 6 foot Christmas tree and an abundance of Christmas decorations throughout the restaurant. It was a pleasant sight to see and really livened up the place. The employees were friendly and welcoming, and gave us the opportunity to sit anywhere we liked they provided the regular menu as well as a menu of some of the special rolls. I decided to get the two item bento box with teriyaki beef, and a California roll which included miso soup salad, a heaping scoop of rice and an eggroll. My wife decided to get the Avenue L Sushi roll. When we got our food, I was mind blown by the generous portion sizes. With the rising cost and inflation, I was fully expecting small portions so naturally, I was shocked to see how much food was provided. Everything was freshly prepared and generous amount of beef, rice and fish we were given. They did not skimp out! Hi, just recommend coming here for lunch. If it isn't busy, you can definitely fit in a visit if you have a one hour or 45 minute lunch break.

To be honest it's in a part of town that I always forget about, so I'm glad it popped up first when I googled it! We got here for an early dinner around 545pm on a Saturday night. There was one other table occupied, and another came in as we were getting our food. The restaurant was a lot bigger than I expected it to be. It was very clean, and all of the booths, tables, and chairs looked like they were in fairly new condition. The owner greeted us as we walked in, waited a few minutes and took our drink order. Before bringing out our drinks she brought over complimentary miso soup and my little loved it! We ordered 2 rainbow rolls and a lobster roll. I always try my go to rolls when trying our a new place, and if I like it, I'll get more daring with the menu! We had enough time to enjoy our soup and talk a little before our rolls came out. It didn't seem rushed, and we were ready to eat! Everything was delicious! The fish on the rainbow roll was fresh and had great flavor and consistency. We loved them! The lobster roll was so good! The sauce drizzled over had a little kick to it, but it wasn't too much at all. The roll wasn't too big, and had a great amount of topping on it. Again, we loved it! The table next to us ordered the garlic edamame and it smelled absolutely divine! I really regret not ordering it as well! Definitely next time!! The prices were pretty consistent with other sushi restaurants, if not a little cheaper. I honestly couldn't believe at 6pm on a Saturday night that it wasn't more packed. I don't know if it's the area, or what because it certainly isn't the food or service. I really hope this spot does well and stays around for a long time. It is so nice to have a great sushi restaurant 8 minutes from home! I can't wait to come back!

We got there just before 9pm and there was one other table occupied. The sushi chef there is not winning any conversation awards, though we knew that from the last few times we've been there. Not a huge deal. Only this time, the waitresses came by once after 5 minutes. We wanted to ask them whether we were going to be served soup and salad like they did in the past. If not, no big deal, but we at least just wanted to ask. The sushi chef was engrossed in the college football game on TV at the other end of the bar. We marked our sheet, got our rolls and em, they appeared quite a bit smaller than we recall, and no, we were not just exceptionally hungry that our eyes were bigger. Last few times, the flavors of the rolls stood out. Not this time unfortunately. When we neared eating the end of our order, we wanted to order 1 more. However, no one came by to ask if we wanted more, how we were doing, etc. And the chef feverishly worked at putting the remaining fish in the display case back in the fridge. Sooo, we left a little hungry and went home to have tea. Oh, and when the waitress finally did come around, we asked her about the soup and salad that had before come complimentary. They don't do that anymore, she said.
