For my entree I ordered the toro toro roll and OMG . So good ! The fish was almost too good to be used in a roll. Starting with the good- the food was great! We have lived here for 5 years now and have tried several sushi spots. None have come close. We ordered the Golden Crispy, the Hawaiian and the Sweetheart rolls. They were all delicious! The service was horrible at first. The first girl never cracked a smile with us or anyone else. She was definitely in the wrong business! I asked if I order from her or the sushi bar, since we were seated at the bar. She said either but when I tried to order from the bar, he told me to order from one of the two girls. I ordered from the second one b/c she, at least, had some personality. She was more pleasant to deal with. However, neither should have been in a forward-facing customer service position. Strangely, hard to tell who oversees the servers but the only other staff present were the sushi chefs and they seemed oblivious to the lowsy service. IMO customer service is almost as important and the food quality, hence 3 stars. This was on a Thursday night and there was no seating, only sushi bar. They are obviously popular since the food is great, but you have to be willing to put up with the service. Will definitely be back, but maybe best to order for pickup and dine at home. read more

Wife was craving some spice and we decided to satisfy it with Tuna Time's Fire Fire Rolls! We came on a cool Thursday evening with a light sprinkle of rain outside. Since the inside was extra cold with the air conditioning, we decided to sit outside and enjoy the quiet atmosphere. The staff was very attentive and constantly came outside to check on us. The Fire Fire Rolls are beautifully plated with great contrasting colors of the red masago, red onion, and cilantro. My first time here I came with my friend who is a regular at this place. The servers greeted her the same way they greeted me, so it was really nice knowing they don't immediately judge if you'll tip well or not. I know some places do. Our server Ashley was super friendly, and checked up on me while I waited for my friend to meet me there. She made sure I was okay with waiting with just a water and made small conversation while I waited which is super appreciated. Because my friend is a regular here, she already knew what foods to order, but I did have a baked roll to go and it was delicious. My friend's dad is a fisherman so she's super picky about the raw fish she consumes but her and I both have to agree that this place has one of the freshest fish in the area. We also had oysters, and the oysters aren't small but they aren't ginormous either. The sauce they put on the oysters are so delicious I could probably drink it by itself. Glad I had the oyster to complement it though. Great little restaurant to have a lowkey meal and the music selection is enjoyable as well. read more

Take my 5 stars with a grain of salt...we are in the IE after all, and for it being the IE, this place is a gem! Every time we eat here everything is delicious! The specials are creative and fresh. The rolls are delicious, and they have fresh wasabi. Not to mention they always have otoro which you do not get the option At some other sushi places. Brought my mom and sister here for a casual birthday dinner and had great experience. We were only able to sit at the bar because the tables were packed and without us even having to ask, the service team offered to move us to a table to be more comfortable. They were extremely attentive and friendly throughout the whole meal; continuing to ask if we needed anything else and ensuring all drinks (even waters) were topped off and cold. The owner also was present and hustling hard with her team to make sure dinner was running smoothly for everyone. Food was fresh and delicious, there was a lot of variety of different things we mixed and matched to make the best birthday dinner. Prices were amazing and extremely reasonable considering the portions and a far cry from what it costs in LA. This is our new go to sushi spot after just one visit; as a huge plus is they also have an outdoor patio to be able to sit with the doggos. There doesn't seem to be a lot of flashy restaurants available in Yucaipa but places like Tuna Time seem to make up for that with a winning combination of great food, great prices and great service. A very unassuming establishment but great quality food and service. We ordered 4 different items and they all came out really quickly despite the restaurant being full. I especially enjoyed the mango tango which as not a typical roll but incredibly refreshing. The prices were lower than most other sushi places. This is our go to sushi restaurant. My daughter and I love salmon nigiri and maki rolls. I love the portion (they even add a bit of extra salmon on top of the nigiri). I love their wasabi (it is not the usual wasabi paste at restaurants. The rolls are also really delicious and the garlic edamame is so good. I often ask for a side of soy mustard and they are always accommodating. It's a bit of a drive from Redlands but we will continue to go because it's the best. read more

We haven't been here in a while and we're glad to see that they have outdoor seating now. This opens up the seating for a few more people. This place is good and service was on point. It is small inside but I love the feel of how it feels like you have your privacy inside because the outside people can't see inside of the restaurant.
