    Beef Chow fun

Ive been coming here for 3+ years. The food is always amazing and the service is perfect. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It can get pretty busy during peak hours like dinner, but it's worth it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food here never made me sick and it never tasted funny. Everything comes out pristine and beautiful. The portions are so big that a small eater like me can save this for another meal. The waiters are also attentive and willing to help out -- they hired the right people! [[HIGHLIGHT]]I really like the atmosphere this place has. It's perfect for talking and it's a great place to go to after final exams.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The waiters help out a lot, but they generally leave you alone unless you raise your hand. It's a great atmosphere

Wonderful welcome from staff very friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Inside was nice and cool from the summer heat.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Half booth and table seating inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If dining in find a seat and staff will take your order at table. Our entrees were very tasty fresh and served with a smile. Entrees are plentiful great for sharing or lunch now, dinner later. Dumplings are papa size! Chicken or pork steamed or fried. Comes with dipping sauce. They've got it! whole roasted duck entrees, half or whole options. Very rare find around this area usually have to preorder. Spicy chili oil sirriacha and soy sauce provided on tables. Plenty of parking right in front in large lot. Next to Buffalo spot, uncle chuangs and 7-elven on the west side of parking lot at university village.

So yummy!! One of the places in Riverside I'm always excited to go to. The service is quick and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the ambiance is nice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food is tasty and reminds me of childhood. Very nostalgic. Definitely would recommend!

Wonderful food and service! [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a bit busy at lunch time but the atmosphere gives comfortable rather than bustling.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The crispy chow mein with beef and clear sauce is the best combination we've tried at this restaurant. Definitely crave this dish from time to time! The crispy squid was a bit off as it wasn't as crispy as we'd hoped and the seasoning was inconsistent. The fried rice it came with was addicting as we continued to sneak bites of it throughout our meal. Always recommend this place as it's some of the best asian cuisine in IE! It consistently has great service and food!

Crispy pork for the win! The pork was very crispy and fresh. Great Hong Kong style staples. The salt n pepper pork chop, noodles, and ribs were great sharing dishes. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This casual diner is a wonderful trip not too far from campus.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

10 out of 10!!! Bravo! Didn't expect such authentic Chinese food in Riverside! Everything tastes just like what you would get from a Hong Kong barbecue restaurant, wok flavor and all. It was comfort in four portions. Yes there are three photos because I killed my roast duck wonton noodle. The best wonton noodles I've had in a long time! If you can do the wonton soup right, you can't go wrong! The egg noodles were springy and chewy. The duck was super juicy. How? The bowl was completely empty by the time I thought about taking a pic. Like I licked the bowl clean, soup and all.

Incredible Cantonese style food. Fresh, great service, a reasonable price, huge portions. We did takeout and it was a flawless. Do not sleep on this gem. Run, don't walk. Added points for chill parking. Note: don't recommend the low mein with beef. Very mid.

HK BBQ House is located in University Village off Iowa & University near UCR and the 91/60/215 Interchange. We went for the Roasted Duck w/ Wonton Noodle Soup. The Wontons came filled with Shrimp & Pork, the noodles were tasty, the broth was light and not salty, the broccoli was tender, and the duck was delicious. The duck sauce was the Chef's Kiss and became the star of the table. Flora was very friendly and helpful during the visit. You can tell by the looks and flavors there's magic in the kitchen.

Saturday around 1 pm lunch hour was a bit of a wait, understandably anytime during lunch and dinner time whether be weekend or weekdays. Great attentive service we received from the young gentleman server . 3 item BBQ plate combo $22 BBQ pork char siu / roast duck / soy sauce chicken is my go to here , and their wonton soup, this time I opted not to include noodles. Recommend their string beans stir fry , perfectly seasoned. A miss for me today was their shrimp chow fun w/ gravy didn't have much flavor. It was eeehhh .

HK BBQ never disappoints us. Authentic, flavorful, my favorite restaurant. Staffs are friendly and attentive all the time. The owner knows us now because we are her regulars. Highly recommended. Everything on the menu is yummy. I always have a hard time to decide what i want because i want everything.

A chef friend of mine posted this restaurant several times in social media and I bookmarked it for whenever I was in Riverside. I finally got to try it last weekend and was very impressed. This Cantonese style food is as good as anything you find in San Gabriel Valley. The prices are reasonable. The food is very fresh. It seems they genuinely prepare it after you order. They have a few combos of their barbeque items, such as 2 or 3 meats with rice. I ordered the duck with rice. It is very crispy with the fat nicely rendered and even the rice was so fluffy. There was a bit of Chinese broccoli on the side. The price for duck was about half what I normally see. I ordered the wonton soup and Singapore noodles to go, just to enjoy more of their dishes the next night. You know it's good when I want it two nights in a row. Service is very good and attentive.

I stopped by to a takeout order. Everyone was friendly and greeted me promptly. I ordered the Steamed Chicken Dumplings. They come with 8, but I ate two before taking this picture. They are delicious and filling. I could only eat four of them and I'm stuffed!

This was a combo plate with duck, rice and bok chow

Our entire family grieved the loss of one of the best dim sum and Chinese cuisine restaurants in the Riverside area. But lately, there was a lot of talk, good talk, that the same owner had reopened here, a tinier bistro setting, not as flashy interior. So here we are, finally, late to the party, but sublimely happy. First things first. An order of their siu mai. Still just as plump, with their signature, wonderful pork- shrimp filling, my taste buds let out a big sigh of relief. I've had to endure some pretty horrible ones from other restaurants lately. Big Skyy's is superb. Next, the black bean pork ribs. Wonderful, just as we remembered. A healthy portion, plenty of meat in spite of the bones. Great gravy. Finally, the eggplant with beef. This one was extra special, made with generous amounts of filet mignon, eggplant cut in spears, cooked in a salty sweet garlic sauce that is very special. It was melt-in-your-mouth, swoon worthy. One of my favorites. They still accommodate large family groups, a few big round tables for 6 or more. The staff was very friendly and took the time to answer all our questions. They feature the same marvelous menu and the same chef who creates those traditional Chinese dishes with pizzazz. It's wonderful to re-acquaint ourselves with an old "friend". It's even better to know, the important things we remembered have not changed a bit. You would be right to assume we will be back!

First off, we were the only people in this place at dinner time (6pm). The server was sitting at a table prepping vegetables (not in the kitchen). Between her checking her phone and peeling back green beans or whatever, she finally looked up to see us there! Now the food... we ordered safe: beef broccoli, honey walnut shrimp, fried rice, lo mein, etc. But the honey walnut shrimp was horrible! No sweetness to it at all, It had a mayonnaise flavor or something! The fried rice was not fried, it looked like they threw some soy sauce on some steamed rice, mixed it up and served it to us! I should have listened to my kids when they said it looked ugly from the outside and the food could not be good! That was a 75 dollar lesson... next time I'll listen to the kids!

The restaurant itself is super spacious, and since we came at kind of an odd time after the lunch rush, it was really calm and relaxing inside. We ordered the Salt and Pepper Calamari, and it was really good. The calamari was crispy, lightly seasoned, and still tender inside, which made it super satisfying to eat. I do wish it came with a dipping sauce, but we already had sweet and sour sauce on the table and ended up using that instead, which actually paired really well with it. We also got the Chicken Pad Thai, which honestly impressed me a lot. The portion size was huge for the price, I think it was around $12-13, which felt really worth it for how much food we got. The noodles were flavorful, well cooked, and had a good balance of savory and slightly sweet flavors without feeling too heavy. The people working there were really welcoming and kind, and it felt like a family-run restaurant, which made the experience feel even more comforting and homey.

Don't expect refills or conversations about the day or the meaning of life. Bathroom: clean. Toilet and a urinal. Considering these were complimentary, I'm not going to complain. Soup was my okay. my mapo tofu came with a side of white rice. Upgrading to brown or fried rice will cost you an additional $1. This is the most bizarre mapo tofu I've ever had. Rather than the traditional ground pork and wood ear mushrooms, this came with long strips of fried pork and no mushrooms. I'm also used to thicker sauce, but this one was very watery. A tad spicy, but not over bearing. Maybe a recipe from a different Provence of china? Not what I was looking for. $15.00 later and a fortune cookie...and I was done. Not sure if I'd come here for the mapo tofu again. Others in the restaurant offered the 2-3 item combos. Typical orange chicken or Kung Pao chicken w rice or chow mein. Not my thing.
