Solid hole in the wall place near UCR. Came here for Saturday lunch and it was not too busy. Service was good and good came quick. Plenty of parking in the strip mall. The menu was pretty big so it's definitely easy to get lost in it. We stuck with the traditional menu and ordered T-24 beef, T-34 fish, T-38 chicken, house chow fun, and xlb. All were pretty good. The beef had some pieces that appeared to be raw and there was a bit too much onions compared to beef. The chicken dish could've had a bit more chicken. My favorite was surprisingly the chow fun. Would I come back? Absolutely!
I've been here a few times now and really like this spot! They have authentic Chinese food that I have to say is pretty high quality. Their standout dishes are the chow fun, chongqing chicken, Mongolian beef and their cumin lamb. All of these dishes were great, but fair warning some of their spicy dishes can get pretty spicy, Service has been good both for dining inside and online pick up order. Restaurant is a pretty big space and is nicely decorated and clean. As others have mentioned though, it's not the safest plaza, plenty of homeless and some interesting things going on here and there. There is a good amount of parking though. Only downside I have is that the menu is not the best organized so you can easily make the wrong order as they have a lot of similar dishes in completely different sections of the menu. Some of their beef we got was on the rare side as well. Still a great Chinese food option close to UCR!
Came here on the Saturday evening of Labor Day weekend with 2 friends for dinner, after seeing a reel for it on IG. Plenty of parking - location is close to UCR. Note this isn't the safest plaza - lots of homeless and sketchy people wandering around. Interior ambiance was pretty clean and spacious though. We ordered the Mushroom Chicken (my friend's dish alone) and my other friend and I shared the T10. Bullfrog with Perilla in Stone Pot and Special Lamb Offal Soup. We originally wanted to order the Stir fried lamb, but was told that they're out of that entire menu page and they only had one item - Braised Beef Noodle Soup on that page available. That was really stupid, they should've covered up that whole page then. Service - eh it was alright. The menu thing was bad. They also didn't speak English well and struggled to communicate to us something about water chestnuts on the mushroom chicken dish for my friend. This place was alright, not bad. Worth checking out if you're around UCR and in the mood to try authentic Chinese food.

Looks like a small shop from the outside but inside is a large space with modern decor. Booths are spacious with lots of elbow room to spread out. Large party tables available with lazy susan serving tray. Menu is easy to navigate, well organized. Bottled beverage selections viewable in fridge by tables. Fresh dumplings being made can be seen behind the counter in back. Service was welcoming and attentive, prompt taking our order but it did take a while for our order to reach our table. I decided to give this spot a try, since it was new. I got take out, and tried two different types of dishes here that I thought might be good. I'm a big fan of mapo tofu, and the one here is good. I found it to be enjoyable, with a good mix of Sichuan peppercorn numbing spice and flavor. I'd get that dish again. The Thai style tofu and broccoli chow fun was mediocre at best. It was really lacking in flavor, and the overall consistency didn't seem like this was stir fried or much sauce was used. The flat rice noodles were all basically still white. I would not recommend this dish at all. Looking at their menu, I think it's honestly way too extensive. Most food establishments that have massive menus like this really tend to suffer with some dishes. I think that holds true here. If you'd like to give this spot a try, I would recommend sticking with dishes that are popular. The price point is good, for the amount of food I got, but I'd recommend this restaurant slim down their menu and offer better quality for the options that remain.
Amazing to have a truly authentic Chinese restaurant in Riverside. I'm highlighting their spicy, hot-oil Chinese food here that isn't the typical Americanized, Western-Cantonese, although they do offer these dishes, too. The lunch specials look like classic Americanized Chinese, but they are affordable and most folks will probably love those too. I'm particularly excited by the beef roll pancake, cold beef tendon with chili oil, steamed pork belly with preserved vegetables, chili oil cold chicken, deep fried Szcehuan peppercorn chicken - these are dishes most of which I haven't been able to get in Riverside city. The restaurant manager was very pleasant and helpful. The restaurant interior has the feel of a restaurant in mainland China. It really is setup for authenticity. I shared a few photos of the food. We loved it.
The food here is truly authentic and full of flavor! The seasoning is so good that you'll say "mmm" from the very first bite. Every dish is packed with flavor, and the portion sizes are really good for the price. If you're looking for a dupe for Din Tai Fung, you HAVE to try this place! Honestly, I think it's even better. They have a bigger variety of dishes to choose from, and everything I've tried has been absolutely delicious. There's so much more to order, so you definitely won't get bored with the menu. The customer service is also top tier from every employee, especially Michael! Every time I come in, he's always so welcoming, kind, and friendly. He really makes you feel welcomed every time you visit. Overall, amazing food, great portions, and excellent service. I'll definitely keep coming back!

This is my second time coming here. The food is delicious, they are pretty attentive if the restuarant is not full (it usually is during popular hours), and it is very welcoming. I'm excited to come here more and more, the food is to die for and the portions are extremely generous. The boba wasn't too good but the milk tea istself is very tatsy. Immediate 5 stars from me!
This was the absolute best egg foo young and Singapore rice noodles I have ever had in the IE!!! I am so happy this place is down the street from me! It is everything I've been searching for authentic good Chinese that is affordable. The menu is insane with the options that you can get. I got the vegetable egg foo young. It has the dark gravy you've been looking for! I'd encourage you to order extra gravy. It comes with white rice. And the Singapore noodles are the perfect level of spicy both the shrimp and the chicken in it are seasoned deliciously and they don't skimp on the noodles like some places. The only issue is you currently are unable to get the rice or the noodles on any of the platforms (I've called, we are working on it) so you just have to go get takeout from the restaurant or dine in and make it a date night with yourself or anybody of your choosing! Trust me it's worth it also last time I had the honey walnut shrimp and it was also a spectacular. If you've been looking for egg foo young look no further I will include my takeout photos from this order, but I encourage you to go in!!!
Inside is very clean and very nice. You can see a worker beyond a thick piece of glass toward the back of the dinning room hand rolling and preparing the dumplings you are ordering so you know they are absolutely made fresh. Employees were very quick and attentive as well. The food i ordered while dinning in was so good i ordered a thing of Sesame beef to go! Will definitely be coming back in the future.
New Chinese restaurant in town off of Chicago Ave and University Ave (next to Dollar Tree)! Came with no expectations. Ordered items that were recommended by the waitress. The food was mild, not too salty or greasy--perfect and easy on the palate for a first meal of the day. It was fairly busy for a Sunday mid-morning. Looks like a lot of people come for the daily lunch specials (available on weekends too!). Super spacious with lots of room for seating. Best of all, their dumplings are housemade! Will definitely be back to try more traditional Chinese dishes.

My wife and I had a lovely dinner at Red Chilli House in Riverside. We ordered the Mung Bean Jelly Noodle in Chili Sauce, Mashed Eggplant with Green Peppers and Century Egg, and Boiled Beef in Chilli Sauce. We enjoyed sharing the dishes--great choices if you like bold flavors and spicy Chinese food! The customer service was good, and the restaurant was clean. Overall, a pleasant dinner experience. I had a really great experience here! The food was absolutely delicious, and everything came out nice and warm. The portions were also really generous, which I appreciated because you get such a great amount of food for what you pay. The shrimp tempura was one of my favorites. The shrimp were cooked really well, and the tempura was nice and crispy without being overly greasy. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful, and you could tell the food was made with care. The prices were honestly amazing, especially for the amount of food you get. Everything was very reasonably priced, and it's hard to find places nowadays where you can get such big portions of good-quality food without spending a lot. I definitely felt like I got a lot for my money. Another thing I really liked was how fast the service was. We didn't have to wait long at all for our food, and everything came out quickly while still being hot and fresh. The combination of the great food, big portions, affordable prices, and fast service made this a really enjoyable experience. Took my BF out for Sunday dinner . The restaurant is large and the hall quite grand. We ordered Mongolian beef and cashew chicken, they are having a special so we got a 3rd dish for free. You get free rice with your entrees. The timing of the food was odd, we got 2 dishes, but the 3rd dish did not come for some time. But the food was worth the wait! read more

first time here, we saw this place online and we're very excited to try it, I tried a couple dishes. The orange chicken was good. I give that a 7.5 out of 10 only because it didn't really taste like orange chicken but the texture was good. We also had the chow mein which I personally enjoyed it wasn't oily and the shrimp and chicken tasted really good in it. We also tried the beef roll and weren't the biggest fans of that only because there were certain parts of the meat that were a bit too chewy and there were some hard pieces in it. Lastly, we had the steamed pork dumplings. Honestly was not the biggest fan only because the pieces were a bit too big in the dumpling for me. Besides that everybody was super nice and the place was very clean. read more
Excellent food and grand opening in Riverside with spacious seating area and dumpling viewing window. Service is slower as I believe there was only 2-3 working at the time for 20+ tables. Otherwise, very friendly staff and great spot for a relaxed meal. read more

Today I decided to go to the red chili near me as it's close to my home and seemed very reasonable in prices, so I went and was greeted immediately, sat down in a booth which was very comfortable and given a menu, I didn't need one I had already checked out their menu online, I asked for the house chow mein, as I was waiting I was served water and the wait wasn't long at all. I received my food and it was delicious it was steamy and flavorful everything came together perfectly the house chow mein has shrimp, beef and chicken. The place was nice and comfortable they had a big screen tv to watch with light music playing I will definitely be coming back to explore more of the menu and delicious food I took the picture after eating quite a bit lol then I decided to make a review it was a big serving well worth every penny read more

Delicious, great quality food! We ordered food to go but the restaurant was clean and welcoming. We ordered beef chow fun, teriyaki chicken, and braised pork belly in white pepper. This restaurant just opened up came here to try the food it was delicious my favorite was the spicy chicken soup dumplings the spices were on point. The service was amazing the moment I walked in I got greeted they explained the menu and told me if I had any questions to let them know. The Ambiance was great it's a really good place to dine in with friends and family. Will definitely come back to this place to try more delicious meals they have so much variety. read more

The dry pot mixed mushrooms were one of my favorites. They had a really nice wok hei and were stir-fried perfectly -- super flavorful and a little different from the usual dishes you see at Chinese restaurants.
