    Mapo Tofu
    Adam C.

I decided to give this spot a try, since it was new. I got take out, and tried two different types of dishes here that I thought might be good. I'm a big fan of mapo tofu, and the one here is good. I found it to be enjoyable, with a good mix of Sichuan peppercorn numbing spice and flavor. I'd get that dish again. The Thai style tofu and broccoli chow fun was mediocre at best. It was really lacking in flavor, and the overall consistency didn't seem like this was stir fried or much sauce was used. The flat rice noodles were all basically still white. I would not recommend this dish at all. Looking at their menu, I think it's honestly way too extensive. Most food establishments that have massive menus like this really tend to suffer with some dishes. I think that holds true here. If you'd like to give this spot a try, I would recommend sticking with dishes that are popular. The price point is good, for the amount of food I got, but I'd recommend this restaurant slim down their menu and offer better quality for the options that remain.

Got here at 12pm. All tables against walls were occupied. All center tables were open. There was about 10 people waiting to be seated. (They all left eventually). More clients walked in and left after seeing the amount of people waiting for a table. 26 min later they sat me at one of the open tables in center. Went to restroom and the toilet was exploded all over on. They have 1 cashier. 2 servers. And 2 in kitchen. I hope the food is good since it already does not look like the menu photos. AND we wanted steamed buns and dumplings..which they have none because they ran out. Our appetizer came once we were done eating. My to-go order showed up as I was ready to pay after asking a few times if it was still coming (ordered it when I first sat down to order all other food)

New Chinese restaurant in town off of Chicago Ave and University Ave (next to Dollar Tree)! Came with no expectations. Ordered items that were recommended by the waitress. The food was mild, not too salty or greasy--perfect and easy on the palate for a first meal of the day. It was fairly busy for a Sunday mid-morning. Looks like a lot of people come for the daily lunch specials (available on weekends too!). Super spacious with lots of room for seating. Best of all, their dumplings are housemade! Will definitely be back to try more traditional Chinese dishes.

Took my BF out for Sunday dinner . The restaurant is large and the hall quite grand. We ordered Mongolian beef and cashew chicken, they are having a special so we got a 3rd dish for free. You get free rice with your entrees. The timing of the food was odd, we got 2 dishes, but the 3rd dish did not come for some time. But the food was worth the wait!

Excellent food and grand opening in Riverside with spacious seating area and dumpling viewing window. Service is slower as I believe there was only 2-3 working at the time for 20+ tables. Otherwise, very friendly staff and great spot for a relaxed meal.

Delicious, great quality food! We ordered food to go but the restaurant was clean and welcoming. We ordered beef chow fun, teriyaki chicken, and braised pork belly in white pepper. It was all so flavorful and great portion sizes. I will definitely be back and am so excited to have a new go-to spot near home!

Ordered takeout, the lady at the front was quick to give me my order. Food was good! Nothing crazy but definitely enjoyed it. The pork buns were okay, I do think that they lacked a bit of flavor. I really liked the orange chicken, super good. The fried rice has a bit less flavor than I'm used to but still great overall. Would definitely order again.

Never tried bullfrog and it was delicious! . Pork dumplings were juicy Great service as always...

Xiaolong Bao, Pepper & Salt Shrimp , Mao's pork.

Authentic xiao long bao in Riverside! The wrappers are just right--not too thick, with enough skin to hold all the rich, flavorful broth without breaking. Each dumpling is generously filled with juicy pork and a delicious white soup that bursts with every bite. Very decent quality, especially for the price. Getting 7 soup dumplings for just $12 is a great deal. I'll definitely be coming back whenever I'm craving authentic xiao long bao!

Everything was really good. It was refreshing to find a place this close to home that actually hit the spot--even my parents thought it was good, which says a lot. We usually end up driving out to Rowland Heights for Chinese food, so having something like this down the street in Corona is nice. The pan fried shao mai was probably the surprise favorite for me since I've never had it prepared that way before. The xiao long bao wrapper was a little thicker than what I'm used to, but it was still good. Honestly, nothing we ordered disappointed. Food came out pretty quickly too, so even though there's usually a line, it moves faster than you'd expect.

Service was extremely slow for it not being busy. They were a bit stingy on the lemon wedges and veggies. There were three of us and we ordered three bowls of Pho. We got one small plate of veggies and two lemon wedges. When we asked for more lemons, waiter looked over at our table to make sure we actually needed more lemons. When we asked for a sauce plate/cup, he looked bothered. Well next time just put little sauce plates on the table and we wouldn't have to ask you to get it. Like how do they not know people like to dip their meats in Siracha and Hoison sauce. Not everyone just pours it into the bowl. When we ordered our Pho, we also ordered a Banh Mi sandwich as a to go order. At the end of our meal, my wife went to pay and the check included the price with the sandwhich. She paid and asked how long the sandwich would take, they said, "what sandwich!" Uh, the one we just paid for. Cashier looked confused and asked to see the receipt. Then he went to the back and asked about the sandwich. We could hear someone in the back saying they didn't make a sandwich. Cashier apologized and we waited another 12 minutes for the sandwich. Pho was actually good but a bit on the pricey side. $20 for the Dac Biet. Next time we'll just go to Pho Ha down the street for better noodles at a cheaper price and they won't charge you for a sandwich that doesn't exist.

Anyway... After perusing through the menu, which had quite a few blacked out items (black tape applied over the menu item) we both decided on the Tonkatsu Spicy Black Ramen Noodles as well a the Crispy Fried Rice appetizer... the appetizer was delivered but I had to request some small individual plates so that we could eat off of our own plate, rather than reaching over trying to share the same plate and making a mess on the table... no worries, small oversight (or so I thought at the time)... Next came the Ramen... Looked very appetizing, but again I had to get up and request a couple of soup spoons... went to dig in, and while the bottom of the bowl was warm, the broth itself was quite cold... after calling over the waitress and asking them to please reheat (even if they had to use the microwave)... the waitress took it back to the "open" kitchen and they used the microwave to reheat... The bowls were returned and as we started to eat, satisfied that the broth was indeed hot, we noticed a couple of items missing: the corn - no corn in the broth like it was described... in addition to that, no Wood Eared Mushrooms were in the broth either... the wood eared mushrooms set the "black" apart from the standard ramen and cost $.50 more per serving... when questioned about it, the hostess informed us that they didn't have any mushrooms... as a consolation, she offered us one of the "extra price" toppings in place if it... we opted for the tofu... a bowl of tofu pieces came out and although they appeared to have steam coming off of it, the tofu was cold as well... smh... The hostess returned them to to kitchen to be reheated... We received a 10% discount ($4.90 of of a $49 bill)... Not sure if they're going to make it with this level of service and food quality... Good Luck!

My girlfriend and I come here fairly often because it's a convenient place to eat after work, and we've generally enjoyed it. Unfortunately, our last three visits have been disappointing due to missing items we paid for and poor customer service. Today, my girlfriend, her little sister, and I ordered three ramen bowls. My girlfriend is vegetarian and cannot eat meat because it makes her sick. She ordered the vegan ramen with extra noodles and requested that the toppings be served on the side, as I usually eat them. The second bowl was a Shio ramen with grilled chicken, and my bowl came out correctly. While waiting for our food, I watched the cook remove the chicken from the Shio ramen and place it into a separate bowl while wearing gloves. When our order was called, my girlfriend's vegan ramen still had the toppings on it despite our request to have them on the side. We politely pointed this out to the employee at the pickup counter and asked if it could be corrected. The employee responded with noticeable attitude, which was frustrating considering we were simply asking for the order to be prepared as requested. The bowl was handed back to the cook, who then removed the toppings by hand while still wearing the same gloves that had been used to handle the chicken. This raised concerns for us about cross-contact, especially given that my girlfriend avoids meat and can become sick from it. Because of that, my girlfriend only took a couple of bites before deciding not to finish her meal. Shortly afterward, she began feeling unwell. While I cannot say for certain what caused it, the situation was concerning and left us disappointed. We have enjoyed eating here in the past, which makes this review difficult to write. However, after multiple visits involving missing items, incorrect orders, poor customer service, and now concerns about food handling, I felt it was important to share our experience.
