Braised beef noodles (no spice) $15 and beef roll $12.
    Ye L.

Located in Tyler Galleria food court, this place is a legit authentic Chinese gem. Serving mainly noodle dishes and dumplings, the menu is small and specialized. The noodles are freshly made AFTER you order, which is super cool, although the thick noodle could've been more al dente. The braised beef noodle soup was a bit too salty for my taste but full of flavor. The beef roll was tasty but too heavily sauced. I think if I ordered the same things but asked for less salt and less sauce, I'd be very happy with the meal. Prices are kind of normal for post pandemic Chinese food. I see a lot of potential for this place and will come back for sure! PS: If the manager is reading this, please allow tips instead of no tip being the only option on the credit card dialog. Maybe not everyone wants to tip but I think it's weird not to have the option.

Nice spot in the Tyler mall food court. I kept hearing good things about but was hesitant to try until I saw that they make the ramen noddles fresh in the morning and you can definitely taste that. The black garlic tonkotsu ramen had lots of flavor and it came with two pieces of pork, half an egg, bamboo shoots and mushroom. The cashier was nice and they give you a buzzer to alert you when your order is ready. Love the convenience of the location being at the mall food court so when you shop you have a nice fresh meal. Overall a good meal definitely love that we have this available.

I was delighted to stumble upon Master Gan in such an unexpected location. There's really not much authentic Chinese food in the IE or Riverside areas so I was surprised to see this in the food court of the Tyler mall out of all places. I wasn't even hungry but had to try! I got the braised beef noodle soup. You can choose to add cilantro and green onions, the spice level and choose the type of noodle. The noodles are freshly made and hand pulled, you can watch the chef making it! The broth was flavorful and umami and there's not much heat in the chili oil but definitely takes it up a notch flavor-wise.

Master Gan is truly a hidden gem in the mall food court! Ordered to go via the touch pad at the counter, and it was ready within a few minutes. Service was quick, and my food was packaged perfectly (the hot broth was separate from the noodles, and no spillage!) Had the beef noodle soup and bbq pork bao, and both were sooo good! Highly recommend!

I was surprised when I found Master Gan on Yelp and discovered it's located in the Tyler Mall food court! We love ramen, so I I convinced my husband that we needed to pick up a couple of things from the mall and get dinner. We were so glad that we did! We each got the C2 combo with braised beef noodle soup (med. spice and we added a boiled egg to each bowl), pan fried dumplings, and iced tea for our drink choice. Everything was delicious! I can't wait to try the flat noodles and scallion pancake!

I had the braised beef noodle soup and it was delicious. I got to watch the gentleman hand pull the noodles behind the counter. The broth was super flavorful and everything tasted so fresh. The beef was tender and plentiful. I would definitely come back.

First time here. Surprised to see my last name on the board, decide to give a try and was amazingly pleased and satisfied. Will definitely come back again.

Food is simple and delicious! Noodles are house made and the owner is very respectful. Probably the best quality food option in the food court at the Tyler mall! Hope they can have their own location soon!

Holy cow, its honestly a crime that this place isn't packed with a line down the food court. I've eaten at a lot of noodle/dumpling houses, including Din Tai Fung. I was worried when I approached and saw how slow they were at lunch time but I was blown away by the quality. First of all they make their noodles in house fresh. You can taste it in the quality. The soup itself came loaded with beef, fresh baby bok choy and customizable spice (I got medium and it was perfect). I got the combo that came with 4 dumplings and a drink and it was 20$ it also came with soy, chili and black vinegar to dip the dumplings in! Honestly? I'm a die hard fan of this soup from din tai fung and I thought the quality here totally blew them out of the water! A must try for fans of authentic asian food!

I know there should be some good Chinese food other than panda in Tyler mall !! First the fresh handmade show catch my eyes , I only see it at Haidilou . Second , the portion of combo meal is great then all the food taste yummy beef is tender and noodle cooks perfect !! Will be back next and order something different

    Great noodle house!

After reading the great reviews, my wife and I decided to give them a shot. Little cautious due to relatively low number of reviews, but found out they're new. Only opened in September. Must say, one of the best bowls of soup we've had, and we just spent 4 weeks in Cambodia, Japan, and Taiwan. Absolutely fabulous flavor, watched the chef make our noodles fresh, and the quality of the meat and vegetables fantastic. Don't expect food of this level at a food court in a mall. Got to find one a little closer to us!

Big Sky was my **go-to Chinese food spot in Riverside** for years. **Then tonight happened.** I placed a DoorDash pickup order at their new location -- sweet and sour pork, beef chow fun, beef porridge, pork and shrimp siu mai, and white rice. They even threw in extra rice, and I was genuinely excited to dig in. That excitement ended the moment I looked down at my bowl and found a **MAGGOT sitting on top of my rice.** I called the restaurant immediately and calmly explained what happened. They told me to contact DoorDash since that's how I ordered. Fine. I reported it through DoorDash's platform and waited. Then I got a call back from DoorDash -- not to help me, but to relay a message: **Big Sky had contacted them specifically to refuse my refund.** Let that sink in. A customer found a maggot in their food, couldn't eat a single bite of a $54.19 order, and the restaurant's response was to **actively call DoorDash to make sure I didn't get my money back.** I understand that occasionally bugs happen in food service. It's gross, but I was fully prepared to move on had they simply taken responsibility. Instead, they chose to fight a $54 refund over a maggot. That tells you everything you need to know about how this restaurant values its customers. **Eat here at your own risk -- and if something's wrong, you're on your own.**

The restaurant itself is super spacious, and since we came at kind of an odd time after the lunch rush, it was really calm and relaxing inside. We ordered the Salt and Pepper Calamari, and it was really good. The calamari was crispy, lightly seasoned, and still tender inside, which made it super satisfying to eat. I do wish it came with a dipping sauce, but we already had sweet and sour sauce on the table and ended up using that instead, which actually paired really well with it. We also got the Chicken Pad Thai, which honestly impressed me a lot. The portion size was huge for the price, I think it was around $12-13, which felt really worth it for how much food we got. The noodles were flavorful, well cooked, and had a good balance of savory and slightly sweet flavors without feeling too heavy. The people working there were really welcoming and kind, and it felt like a family-run restaurant, which made the experience feel even more comforting and homey.

Don't expect refills or conversations about the day or the meaning of life. Bathroom: clean. Toilet and a urinal. Food: Before my main course arrived, I was served a small cup of egg drop soup and some crispy noodles with some type of sweet dipping sauce. Considering these were complimentary, I'm not going to complain. Soup was my okay. my mapo tofu came with a side of white rice. Upgrading to brown or fried rice will cost you an additional $1. This is the most bizarre mapo tofu I've ever had. Rather than the traditional ground pork and wood ear mushrooms, this came with long strips of fried pork and no mushrooms. I'm also used to thicker sauce, but this one was very watery. A tad spicy, but not over bearing. Maybe a recipe from a different Provence of china? Not what I was looking for. $15.00 later and a fortune cookie...and I was done. Not sure if I'd come here for the mapo tofu again. Others in the restaurant offered the 2-3 item combos. Typical orange chicken or Kung Pao chicken w rice or chow mein. Not my thing.

It was not too loud in there and the place was relatively empty so that was nice. Biggest disappointment was service, because our table ordered chow mein and the waiter brought us chow fun (flat noodles with gravy). While I get that, he spent a minute trying to figure out where the item was and couldn't find it. I reviewed pics on here and it seems like other people got the thick yellow noodles for chow mein. Anyway, they replaced it for us but I overheard the waiter tell his manager that we ordered chow fun by accident. The manager then told us something about "our mistake" upon paying, placing blame on us . The manager was nice about it, but we repeatedly told the waiter chow mein and he kept correcting us to chow fun. Also, there is a section of the menu labeled chow mein and a separate page labeled chow fun. I think I know what we ordered. Disappointing.
