I was really craving Chinese food since I'm away from home, so my friend and I decided to try somewhere new and came across Jade China. I'm honestly really glad we did. The restaurant itself is super spacious, and since we came at kind of an odd time after the lunch rush, it was really calm and relaxing inside. We ordered the Salt and Pepper Calamari, and it was really good. The calamari was crispy, lightly seasoned, and still tender inside, which made it super satisfying to eat. I do wish it came with a dipping sauce, but we already had sweet and sour sauce on the table and ended up using that instead, which actually paired really well with it. We also got the Chicken Pad Thai, which honestly impressed me a lot. The portion size was huge for the price, I think it was around $12-13, which felt really worth it for how much food we got. The noodles were flavorful, well cooked, and had a good balance of savory and slightly sweet flavors without feeling too heavy. I have eaten here a few times. The owners are very nice and friendly. The restaurant is clean. They offer lunch specials every day of the week. Ample parking. Today I ordered the paper wrapped beef and the beef and snow peas. The paper wrapped beef came with 2 sauces on a small bit of cabbage. It was ok. The beef and snow peas it said it came with water chestnuts on the winder menu, on line, on Yelp. 9on door dash, ect but she showed me some menu that showed they removed it during Covid but they happily did add it in saying that when I order it again to please remind them that I want them. This saucey dish comes in a styrofoam container with a bag slid over but it leaked out every where with any movement. Sauced dishes should come in sealable containers. This is the standard. And, the beef and snow peas were tasteless. I added hot sauce and the soy sauce they gave me and it is still not enough to save this dish. While waited they brought me water and fried noodles with sweet sauce. This is a nice touch. They also gave an almond cookie. The AC was cold and comfortable in the restaurant. I want to like it here but the food is not flavorful enough for me. And the food taste is the most important thing so I don't think this is for me. Also the soy sauce packet is terrible. We stopped in and were immediately given a friendly greeting. After checking the menu we decided to try the cream cheese wontons, chicken lettuce wraps, and a lunch combo to spilt (walnut shrimp). Our hostess graciously offered to bring me a soup as well since my bf was getting one with his combo. The cream cheese wontons were hot and deliciously flavored 5/5. Lettuce wraps were fully loaded, I wish they were not pre-filled as the hot filling, while tasty and plentiful- wilted the lettuce cups crispness 3/5. The employees are super nice and always attentive. I come for the fresh food, cooked to order. No steam table with hours old food here. I came here for my lunch break and they were having a lunch special on spicy crispy beef that came with a choice of fried rice or steamed, and also some chow mein and your choice of soup (egg drop or sweet-and-sour). I quickly chose that because it sounded delicious and it did not disappoint. The beef was indeed crispy and had a good spice to it. I ordered the fried rice instead of the steamed and it wasn't overpoweringly oily. It had a nice flavor and it complimented well with the hot sauce I requested. The hat and sour soup was absolutely delicious. I'm not a fan of tofu, and I let them know that and they did a great job of ensuring not to scoop any tofu into it. The chow mein was delicious. I just had to mix it up a little bit to get all the flavor together. The place is very calm and clean, and was playing instrumental music which was a nice touch to keep the atmosphere relaxing. The location is close to the mall but far enough away from the mall's hustle and bustle. Ambiance is relaxing and I was able to enjoy a nice quiet lunch. Menu has a great and reasonable lunch special as well as wide variety of dishes to choose from. I ordered the jalapeño beef lunch special and it was a great choice. The lunch special came with your choice of an entree, your choice of rice, fried rice or noodles and yes you can do half and half. Also comes with your choice of egg drop soup or hot sour soup. March 2026 Came in on a Sunday craving mapo tofu. I checked the menu and there it was. Service: typical Chinese restaurant. Don't expect refills or conversations about the day or the meaning of life. Bathroom: clean. Toilet and a urinal. Food: Before my main course arrived, I was served a small cup of egg drop soup and some crispy noodles with some type of sweet dipping sauce. Considering these were complimentary, I'm not going to complain. Soup was my okay. my mapo tofu came with a side of white rice. Upgrading to brown or fried rice will cost you an additional $1. This is the most bizarre mapo tofu I've ever had. Rather than the traditional ground pork and wood ear mushrooms, this came with long strips of fried pork and no mushrooms. I'm also used to thicker sauce, but this one was very watery. A tad spicy, but not over bearing. Maybe a recipe from a different Provence of china? Not what I was looking for. $15.00 later and a fortune cookie...and I was done. Not sure if I'd come here for the mapo tofu again. Others in the restaurant offered the 2-3 item combos. Hiding in the sprawling shopping complex of Moreno Valley lies this Chinese restaurant that's not set up for combination meals, but rather, dining in. Sure, takeout is optional and possibly delivery via Uber Eats et al., but dining in is more relaxing. I had an hour lunchtime so I wanted to get acquainted with the menu and atmosphere. Service was quick and friendly, and the meal included an appetizer snack (sticks?) with dipping sauce, followed by a bowl of egg-drop soup. My main course was a Szchuan staple: Mapo Tofu, with Pork. A spicy option that didn't disappoint. Served with rice, it's probably best approached with a spoon instead of a fork or chop sticks. It's pretty Westernized so I think if I wanted chop sticks I'd have to ask. Anyhow, it was delicious. The soup was good, although my absolute favorite rendition of egg-drop goes hands down to HKBBQ in University Village. Nonetheless, having it included in the price is outstanding. Just add a little white pepper to make it marvelous. The main course was perfectly executed. Great sauce with excellent consistency. Spicy but not over the top, and all ingredients were enjoyable. I had some leftover, but I didn't have a way to keep it refrigerated, so sadly, I had to leave it behind. My goal is to revisit a few more times and try different things. read more

For take out Chinese this is probably one of the better spots I've found in Riverside. I will say their beef options are really yummy! Everything I've had has been really good! This place is convenient but the food was flavorless. We ordered bbq pork, it's like pork medallions in sweet sauce, not grilled or bbq'd at all. Orange chicken is soft and flavorless as is the shrimp fried rice. The rangoons are also bland. The only item with seasoning is the indonesian rice but it's actually mushy and salty and I ordered mild and it's very spicy. I wanted to like this place but it's an absolute no. Located on Canyon Springs Pkwy and Corporate Center Pl in the Smart & Final shopping center with plenty of parking. I was looking for a good teriyaki plate and came across 'Jade China' online. I walked in thinking it was a fast food restaurant. To my surprise, it's actually a sit-down small restaurant. A very friendly and welcoming lady greeted me and took my order. I didn't see their menu since I was going specifically for teriyaki. I ordered to-go and was offered water as I waited for my food to be ready. Such a great, attentive service. I waited about 10 minutes for my order... when I saw my food was packed in a brown bag, I knew this was a good spot. My teriyaki plate was delicious! The broccoli in it was perfectly cooked, served with a side of white rice. The almond & fortune cookies were a plus! Portions are generous, and prices are very competitive.
