This restaurant is easy to spot with the type of architecture the building has. There is a decent parking outside. It is very classy and authentic with its Chinese decor and dim lighting. On the walls, there are pictures of celebrities and politicians with the owner. We checked in with the host and were seated immediately. This was around 5pm and some tables were taken. I ordered an iced tea (there is no alcohol being served). For our meal, we ate chow fun with chicken and the dragon house spicy beef. It can be shared with two. The staff and our waiter were so nice and accommodating. Everything we ate was gluten free and delicious. We asked for spicy cubed fish to go and we got white rice with it too. I left a negative review about eighteen months ago so I thought I'd give Dragon House another chance. Sadly the same issue I reported eighteen months ago is still an issue-- flavorless, dry food. I even ordered my kung pao beef with extra sauce. When I got home both my kung pao beef and cashew chicken were dry and flavorless. Not only did I not get extra sauce I got virtually no sauce. It's sad to see a former quality Chinese restaurant go downhill so dramatically. I won't be giving Dragon House another chance. They saved 50 cents in sauce but lost me and my wife as customers forever. I'll never be back. read more

Ok so my family went to go have an early dinner and we heard that the food was good and we so wanted to give this place a chance. As soon as we walked in the smell of what I take was backed up sewage filled the restaurant. It looked like it used to be a really nice place in its day but if you want to keep business you need to fix the plumbing. Then we found out they didn't serve alcohol so that pretty much sealed the deal. Not bad, not bad at all! I've been passing by this place for a long time and been wanting to try it. I always saw they had a pretty full parking lot when I did, so figured it must be good. They do have Daily Specials that look to be individual portion sizes. I tried the broccoli beef, orange chicken and shrimp fried rice. I enjoyed all of it. The portion sizes are shareable, but probably for nomore than 3 people. A man was going around to each table, asking if things we Ok. Be may have been a cook or a manager....or probably neither. The food came out so fast for a dine-in restaurant. Everything came out in less than 10 mins. Not a problem, but I've just never experienced food being brought out that quickly. Came here with the family for the first time. Employees were very nice and polite. The location was clean and great sound on music. Seating was comfortable. The food was very delicious. We ordered meals for two. Kung pao chicken with beef and shrimp lo main, we also got the orange chicken with fried rice on the side. Their Thai tea was very delicious. I use to go to Dragon House off Alessandro Blvd. a lot for their lunch menu. Me and my brother would dine in as you will also receive soup with your entree. Well, years ago I decided to go to Dragon House the evening of July 4th (July 4th Holiday). I went there around 7:00 p.m. There was another customer who was exiting the restaurant with her take out order. I decided to place a take out order for their Lo Mein. That was the only dish that I ordered. The restaurant was not busy. I did not see a lot of customers. I waited in the Lobby for my Lo Mein take out order. When I took the Lo Mein home, I opened the container and was highly disappointed. I don't know who cooked it or what was done to the noodle dish, but it did not look fresh nor tasted good. Perhaps, it was overcooked or old? There was not very many people at the restaurant that evening of the 4th of July. How can they screw up a simple noodle dish? Maybe certain staff members were not working that evening? After that disappointing experience over a simple Lo Mein dish, I never went back. Maybe management had changed, but I was not about to go back and find out. I heard the Dragon House Riverside location is a lot better. But I would not go there either. How can they mess up on a noodle dish on the 4th of July? I am a great lover of Chinese food as I am also of Chinese descent. read more

Service is very good. Now for the food. Orders arrive quickly....too quickly for cook to order meals. Flavors are missing,for such a wonderful ethnic cuisine. No orange flavor at all on orange chicken,sauce quite unremarkable on it. . Sweet and sour pork, same thing again. Not quite crunchy on the fry, sauce....meh. Not nearly enough chinks of sweet onion and canned? Pineapple to attempt to make up for the unflavorful sweet and sour sauce. There are better sauces in commercial jarred brands. Tell the short order cook to be more concerned with quality of product being taken to tables not the speed in which it's delivered. Invest in some seasonings and train the chef on how to use them is our advice. read more

Absolutely amazing. I ordered chow mein & the man said "one second" & came back with two pictures. He said "which one would you like?" I pointed & found out I wanted LOW mein, now CHOW mein. He made sure I got what I wanted. Our drinks were filled 8 times at half empty. The inside is beautiful & they are my GO-TO for a Christmas meal. I love this place. We looked at the reviews in 2024 when we came to visit and saw the reviews were not good, so we didn't come. People said there was a new owner. Did they get a new chef? No soy sauce in the bag no utensils like I asked for there wasn't a single napkin. It was ordered through GrubHub so obviously it was takeout and in the instructions it clearly specified I wanted utensils and napkins I ordered the orange chicken by itself which I believe was almost like $17 and there was so little chicken in the box that when I opened the second box with steamed rice, I thought they messed up by not giving me a second box of orange chicken, nowhere in the menu or in GrubHub or in the photos does it mention that it comes with white steamed rice , which is why I ordered a box of the shrimp fried rice but I thought for the price I was paying, I would get two meals I would not eat in the restaurant either because it's always dark and doesn't look very cleanly. I do like the traditional Chinese art but all the photos of the owner with his celebrities is super tacky and cheesy. Also, when I walked in to pick up my order, the lady just un crossed her arms and acted bothered like I was there. I used to really like this place, but things have changed. read more

I've been going to Dragon House for over 30-years. It has slowly deteriorated over the years between the Tyler and Alessandro restaurants. The food was sub-par and undercooked because it was mushy. The service was prompt and friendly. The dining area was dimly lit. There was only one other couple eating there at the dinner hour. The restroom was dirty. I can't imagine the food prep area being better. It seems that since they turned in their liquor license that the food went into decline. Too bad. This used to be one of our go-to places. read more
