I went for lunch and had the egg foo young. The food just tasted very old and tasted reheated multiple times. It literally came to my table within five minutes of ordering. Colors were dark and uninviting. I had barely started the soup. Literally three bites in the meal was there. The egg foo young was so hard. You could hear it when you cut into it. I didn't eat it. They do have Daily Specials that look to be individual portion sizes. I tried the broccoli beef, orange chicken and shrimp fried rice. I enjoyed all of it. The portion sizes are shareable, but probably for nomore than 3 people. A man was going around to each table, asking if things we Ok. Be may have been a cook or a manager....or probably neither. The food came out so fast for a dine-in restaurant. Everything came out in less than 10 mins. Not a problem, but I've just never experienced food being brought out that quickly. There's a Chinese waiter with a clean hair cut that placed me as a target since I complained before how I ordered a carry out on the phone because I was in a hurry and they barely cooking upon my arrival. On top of that I asked the sauce on the side and he couldn't understand my simple request. Long story short, I love the foods but I came back with my partner and he saw me. Right away targeted my table by giving us two small cups of soup instead of a regular bowl- where we can refill more in our soup cups, just like the other tables. But no, he threw the rest of the soup in the bowl and gave us the 2 small cups instead. I'm glad other waiters brought our dishes. Too afraid what he would do with our dishes. I feel unfairly treated bad by this waiter. Then, he tried to intervene with another waiter about my check, because probably he wants to see how much I would tip. I am not going to tip well for discriminating me as a customer. My partner has a good heart and gave 10% to say the least, he did not even like the foods much like I did. The ambiance was good and the foods were good, but that guy has it for me and I will not go back again. I think he wanted that- for me not to come back, since I upset him. No orange flavor at all on orange chicken,sauce quite unremarkable on it. . Sweet and sour pork, same thing again. Not quite crunchy on the fry, sauce....meh. Not nearly enough chinks of sweet onion and canned? Pineapple to attempt to make up for the unflavorful sweet and sour sauce. There are better sauces in commercial jarred brands. Tell the short order cook to be more concerned with quality of product being taken to tables not the speed in which it's delivered. Invest in some seasonings and train the chef on how to use them is our advice. read more

He made sure I got what I wanted. Our drinks were filled 8 times at half empty. The inside is beautiful & they are my GO-TO for a Christmas meal. I love this place. I've been going to Dragon House for over 30-years. It has slowly deteriorated over the years between the Tyler and Alessandro restaurants. The food was sub-par and undercooked because it was mushy. The service was prompt and friendly. The dining area was dimly lit. There was only one other couple eating there at the dinner hour. The restroom was dirty. I can't imagine the food prep area being better. It seems that since they turned in their liquor license that the food went into decline. Too bad. This used to be one of our go-to places. read more

No soy sauce in the bag no utensils like I asked for there wasn't a single napkin. It was ordered through GrubHub so obviously it was takeout and in the instructions it clearly specified I wanted utensils and napkins I ordered the orange chicken by itself which I believe was almost like $17 and there was so little chicken in the box that when I opened the second box with steamed rice, I thought they messed up by not giving me a second box of orange chicken, nowhere in the menu or in GrubHub or in the photos does it mention that it comes with white steamed rice , which is why I ordered a box of the shrimp fried rice but I thought for the price I was paying, I would get two meals I would not eat in the restaurant either because it's always dark and doesn't look very cleanly. I do like the traditional Chinese art but all the photos of the owner with his celebrities is super tacky and cheesy. What happened! Is all I can say. This use to be one of our favorite places to eat but lately the service sucks, the environment is stale and the food is not what it used to be to be. Ordered take out for my family and was so disappointed to see that I paid more than $80 for basically just rice and barely any meat from the entrees I had chosen. For example, this was supposed to be the Dragon House lo mein, there's more rice than the actual lo mein! I thought the lo mein came with ONLY NOODLES?! I'm never going back. This place has gone downhill. Needless to say don't go here unless you really love expensive rice. We came here a few Fridays ago on a Friday night to have a nice dinner for my nephew's graduation. There were 4 of us and we ordered the Gourmet Dinner (Family B): Kung Pao Chicken, Cashew Chicken, Sweet & Sour Chicken, Chicken Chop Suey, & Shrimp Lo Mein. We also ordered a side of ribs and egg foo young. All the food was excellent: I enjoyed the sweet & sour chicken and ribs most. All the appetizers were good also. Loved this meal and thought it was a great deal. My only concern is that they wouldn't allow us to sit at the other larger table with the Lazy Susan rotating table, despite it being empty in the restaurant. We had to pass around the dishes and it made it much more difficult to share the food. Sad that ruined our experience since we were the largest party in the restaurant and obviously purchased lots of food. The service isn't good, so I wouldn't return here. read more

Dined at Dragon house for dinner. Not the first visit but it was time to share a good review. Coming in from a rainy night, it was a lovely touch when the server brought us a pot of tea while we perused the menu. We ordered from the "World Famous Veggie Menu" and we were not disappointed! The food was delicious. Starting with hot and sour soup. Fantastic flavor and wonderful consistency. We then had kung pao chicken, orange chicken and pan fried noodle. All were veggie chicken and all were delicious. Excellent service, delicious food and a sweet little setting. The restaurant is a bit dated and the menus a bit worn (the reason for 4 instead of 5 stars). Despite this- we will definitely be returning for future meals. read more
