I love supporting local businesses, so this review isn't coming from a place of hate at all. But I have to be honest--I'm still trying to figure out how we spent almost $80 for three people at a Mongolian BBQ that's advertised at $7.99 per pound. The food was good, and I enjoyed it, but the final bill shocked me. Maybe the weight adds up faster than I realized, but when I looked at what we paid versus what we got, something just felt off. Again, the food wasn't bad. I just didn't walk away feeling like the value matched the total. For nearly $80, I honestly feel like we could have gone to a full-service restaurant and spent less. I can't justify the cost it's 90 percent noodles ! Plus they charge per pound for the rice as well! Just my experience. If you're going for the first time, pay attention to that scale because those bowls can get expensive fast. This place was much better under the old owners read more

One of the better spots around. You pick and choose what you want to eat, and how much of each. It even has sauces for you to choose from. Then you give it to the cooks where they cook everything in front of you and give it to you to eat. The staff were all nice. Aside from taking the money and cooking the food they don't do too much else tho. They give it to you in a styrofoam container and with plastic silverware, which I'm not a fan of. But it makes it convenient if you have any leftovers. The ambiance is fables and chairs. It's not too bad inside I guess read more

This place was way better when the old lady owned it. The new girl at the register is rude and unwelcoming and a know it all. To charge Mongolian bbq by the pound is ridiculous as the food doesn't warrant being charged by the pound. If could give ZERO stars I would! read more

My first time coming here. I have to say that I was going based on other reviews about the flavor of the food here. But I have to say it's the best Mongolian BBQ ever! I added my own flavor to it. I created my favorite own dish. That was delicious! The staff is friendly & nice. The restaurant itself is nice & clean to eat. I highly recommend it & definitely will return. The price is decent $7.99/lb read more

I placed a pick up order bc I was recommended by my coworker & I will say that the food was not it. I ordered the wonton soup, fried dumplings & chicken wings. I loved the dumplings but unfortunately the soup & the wings were so heavy & lacked flavored :( read more

Love coming to this location for Mongolian. It's self served and charged by weight ! Food is very good specially when you choose what goes on your plate. Food is made very fast and in front of you. Disgusting. And overpriced! We were charged 80 dollars for two boxes of food that tasted like nothing. All the sauces were watered down also, everything was gross! read more

I was disappointed with the take out food we ordered. We spent over $40 for 3 items. The rice was old and mildew we threw it out. The kung pao chicken wasn't even cooked all the way. It was salty and soft. I lost my appetite after the rice and chicken. The Mongolian beef wasn't bad. I don't think I will be back. read more

Wow the food is great, I say "is" cause I'm eating it as a type this review get to choose your own food and your pay $5.99/lbs of food. Mine was 2lbs I paid $18.00 but it's enough for two people! Meat choices they had shrimp, lamb, imitation crab, beef, chicken All the veggies you could want and oils to add too. And free egg drop soup, for this July heat The noodles are delicious, and the service was really nice too, from the front host to the cook in the back. Will definitely be revisiting read more

I think the food here is amazing a delicious! You build your own sauce and add more flavor to your liking and they are so nice and sweet here! This place never fails me! This best Mongolian in Moval. The service is always good and the place is always clean to my standards. I'll definitely keep eating here till I get old lol read more

As expected, you have quite an of array of food with chicken, beef, shrimp, and a good choice of vegetables. Your choices are placed in your bowl, you take it to the cook who cooks it in front of you on the hot stone. Your choice of rice, oils or marinate. They also have Chinese platters. Their Mongolian beef dish was extremely good with the beef being very tender and delicious. Service was over the top with the waitress just wanting to please us. This is a small family owned business in a very small strip mall and easy to miss. Keep your eyes open it's worth going to. read more

The food is pretty good, but I dislike the fact that sometimes they will just leave the food on the grill and let it stick. It gets really dry since they don't add any liquids like other Mongolian spots I've been to. I also wish their chili was actually spicy instead of watered down. Service is great the lady in the front is always nice and welcoming. read more

I ordered the BBQ pork slices from the appetizer and it was old and dry. I also ordered SPRING ROLLS and she gave me 4 pieces of egg rolls I asked her and she said that was it. To be honest food was not to my taste. read more

First time eating here... it was clean, staff was friendly and our Mongolian bbq was very good

Under new management and I've enjoyed my experience this far. Everyone working is so nice and not staring you down while you get food! The Mongolian is a bit more expensive due to you paying by weight but it's honestly worth the quality and service you get. This last time I went my food was a bit too salty I expressed my concern and they offered to make me a new plate. Haven't tried the Chinese Food but I truly recommend trying this place and make your own thought on it! read more

Gave this spot another try & all I can say is I miss the mean lady that used to work upfront. The new layout and prices are not worth the trip over here anymore. The cook served us raw meat. He just threw all my food in one pile and let it cook. They charge by the pound and all of our meat was primarily fat. The taste is not the same anymore. Just bland! I'm sad to say that this was my last visit here! read more

Mongolian BBQ - Fatty meat - Mongolian Near Me - Moreno Valley, California

My first time here since the new ownership today. I have to say I was worried at first because i really like the food here, and seeing that you pay by the pound I thought I might end up paying a lot more than when it was $9.99 for as much as you can fit in a bowl. Thankfully, I was wrong. When you think about it, $5.99 a pound means to get to the $9.99 price, that's over a pound and a half of food. Who can eat that much? So I filled the newer, larger bowl and had a different strategy. Not so many noodles, much more meat. Remember, noodles weigh more than meat and you're paying by the pound. Went for light weight toppings like bean sprouts, bamboo and water chestnuts. Got to put on plenty of sauce thanks to the larger bowl and ended up with just over 2 pounds of food which did come to a few dollars more than before, but I'll be eating on this for at least 4 meals, so definitely worth it. Also, it was nice not to have the mean lady watching me make my bowl and telling me to stop touching my meat. Made me feel like I was back in Junior High sometimes. Definitely recommend trying this place or trying it again if something turned you off in the past. It's much friendlier and much cleaner now. read more

Pretty decent place for Mongolian BBQ. For the Mongolian BBQ, you get a bowl, build it all yourself and they cook it. So you choose the meat you want first, and then the veggies. The biggest downside of this place is you also have scoop out the noodles and pour the sauces yourself too, it can get pretty messy. Expect the noodles to be overflowing. Some places add noodles and sauces for you, so it's a drawback for me for sure. The lunch special is a pretty good deal. It kinda gets busy at dinner time. I'm normally okay with a wait, but I'm not really fond of holding onto a bowl overflowing with noodles and dripping with sauce while waiting for the grill to be available. It's tasty though and the price isn't bad. read more

Better-than-average food, definitely a hidden gem within Moreno Valley! My friend, my girlfriend, and I hadn't originally planned on eating out for dinner but since we wanted to hang out, we were definitely gonna eat out being the huge foodies we are! My friend had suggesting Mongolian BBQ but we didn't know any good places, but luckily he knew of this place so he decided to take us here. Food: Food can get a little dry at times depending on how the chefs cook the dish. But because it's AYCE, it's very well worth the price with the different ingredients they have to choose from. I was gonna eat a salad anyways so I ended up just getting a lot of, mushrooms, spinach and meat. (they have turkey, chicken, lamb, and beef). They also have a lot of sauces to choose from but that's probably the only way to make the food taste good since it ends up coming out dry off the frying stone. Service: Service is lowkey bad. There are no servers, the chefs that cook on the frying stone look like they don't care about their jobs at all and they look like they hate their lives. The only thing saving this from a two star review is the food and the lady behind the cash register that was a little nice. Overall, I did like this place, not a lot, but not that much. Being that I'm only in Riverside for two more months, I might not come back. read more

DONT GO HERE! Food is delicious by all means, but the lady in the front is horrible she needs to chill and take days off and let customers eat and stop staring at you like a hawk... very rude can hardly hear her English no offense... waste of time won't be coming here again. read more

Our family has being going to this place for years, they love food from the previous owners, they we're friendly, she would serve you the food, you picked out! Recently they were purchased by new management/ ownership they closed its doors to remodel & spent a lot of money in the remodel the restaurant & bathrooms too, it look upscale very nice! They charge for food now, by the pound, @ $6.00, it's not cheap if you go up more then once it could be $18.00-$25.00 per person. This is not finger food, there are a lot of places to go to dinner in MoVal especially at that price point! So here is my issue why serve the food with plastic utensils & styrofoam to go containers! Why spend all the money in updating in upgrading the restaurant? Then not have regular plates and metal forks, spoons spreading knives. Makes no sense at this prices point ! read more

This used to be a great place to eat. You got good food at a great price. Well, they remodeled, and they upped their prices. You no longer get egg flower soup or wonton's unless you pay for it. It used to be included in the lunch price. Everything is served in card box containers and weighed before you sit down. Cafeteria style feeling. We will not be dining here anymore. It was total chaos read more

Mongolian BBQ is always welcomed and at these prices they bring a smile to your face. There is plenty of parking since they are located in a shopping center. The lunch menu is extremely affordable. You can get a BBQ plate that can easily serve 2 people for $6.99. If you prefer the all you can eat it is $10.25. What a killer deal. If you do not wish or the party you are with does not want Mangolian BBQ they can have Chinese. They have a full menu. Pics added. read more
