The service was quick and the food tasted good. It was not a lot of people which made the ambiance relaxed

Mmmm, weird set up and the food is definitely not worth the price compared to other spots. I also found a piece of plastic in my noodles while eating left overs the next day.

Ive never had Mongolian BBQ before so it's hard to compare it to what others have tasted like. For my first time, I do think it was good but nothing really special! The restaurants recommendation was to mix all the sauces to get the best flavor and that's what I chose to do! That came out good- I'm glad I went with their recommendation to mix it up. I ended up going with the beef option- from there you get to choose what type of add ins you like for example onions, green pepper, broccoli and other various veggies of your liking. I really liked the noodles! They were thick and I liked the texture. I do believe that this place is extremely overpriced. The large plate was $20 and the regular plate was $17. I got the large plate because I didn't know what to expect and I was sharing- they do give a generous portion because the container was literally stuffed with food but still too over priced in my opinion. The beef was good- It was thinly sliced and easy to eat. They don't have a lot of menu options. You basically choose between beef, chicken, or pork and they all come with the noodles/ same concept. Would I eat here again? I wouldn't go out of my way at all but I wouldn't avoid it either if someone around me wanted to have Mongolian I would be okay with it.

The now-closed Mongolian BBQ in Fountain Valley (OC) served pocked biscuits instead of noodles. Always liked that a LOT better. Do ANY of the Riverside County locations offer that? Also, do they have appetizer-type offerings?

No . I dnt have any idea in Riverside County . I heard theres one mongolian by Tyler Mall but im not sure its the same if theres any i tell you I always eat Mongolian BBQ by University Ave. is only with noodle meat like chicken beef & pork plus… Read more

This is definitely me and my roommates favorite place to eat when we were living in the UCR dorms.

I don't like to eat overly salted food but you have to overly sauce your bowl more than you normally would. If you don't, the dish is going to be bland. It's fun to switch up a noodle dish then a meat dish. They provide rice and these little toasted sesame bread to go with your dish. I sometimes just eat those plain or stuff meat into it like a sandwich.

Tried to order takeout, they weigh your plate to charge you, which is fine. Minimum weight/charge…read moreis up to 1.5 lbs for $17, max is 3 lbs for less than double that. When we went to pay for both of our plates which were less than 1.5lbs each, they tried to charge us for FOUR SEPARATE $17, 1.5 lbs plates, so $68 for 6 lbs of food total, even though we only had less than 3 lbs of food total ($34). When we asked why they said it was because we used two bowls to make each plate, but when we walked in we asked them if they still do things by weight and they said yes. We used two bowls to make the plates because we were holding our infant baby and we couldn't sit there trying to balance these super tall plates and we didn't want to hold up the line. It seems idea behind the one bowl policy is to stop people from making really really large plates that are 3 pounds and splitting it with multiple people. However to combat that they instead made a person who made an only 1.5 pound plate pay more than they would've charged someone who made a 3 pound plate. It literally makes no sense. Also, the policy the incentivizes people to sit there and play Tetris with a bowl and hold up the entire line while trying to cram as much food as they can into it while dropping food everywhere. It's a very stupid policy and even dumber were the workers for not being able to read between the lines and see that we both just wanted to make normal meals while holding our baby instead of gaming the system. We left and got food elsewhere, these guys are whackos.

Then you give it to the cooks where they cook everything in front of you and give it to you to eat. The staff were all nice. Aside from taking the money and cooking the food they don't do too much else tho. They give it to you in a styrofoam container and with plastic silverware, which I'm not a fan of. But it makes it convenient if you have any leftovers. The ambiance is fables and chairs. It's not too bad inside I guess

The food was good, and I enjoyed it, but the final bill shocked me. Maybe the weight adds up faster than I realized, but when I looked at what we paid versus what we got, something just felt off. Again, the food wasn't bad. I just didn't walk away feeling like the value matched the total. For nearly $80, I honestly feel like we could have gone to a full-service restaurant and spent less. I can't justify the cost it's 90 percent noodles ! Plus they charge per pound for the rice as well! Just my experience. If you're going for the first time, pay attention to that scale because those bowls can get expensive fast. This place was much better under the old owners
