I've been craving some Mongolian bbq for a while now and I found this place and wanted to try it out. There were a couple of people in there and the staff was very friendly to me. So I just got an assortment of items through the line and it was overall good to be honest. They also give you the option of stuffing your bowl with a lot of protein and vegetables, and when I got the food it turned out to be quite a lot of food. The inside area was just open dining but seemed a little ran down and can use some effort to make it look nicer inside. Overall, not too bad read more

This place has a C health rating, so buyer beware. Food: 3* Service: 3* Ambiance: 2* So I waited a day after eating Mongolian BBQ here. I didn't have any ill effects, so I'm posting my review now. The food was okay, but service and ambiance were lacking. I wouldn't return. read more

Love this place. Very quick service, lots of topping options and they always give me a solid noodle portion. If you miss the Mongolian BBQ that used to be at the Tyler mall, here's where you can get your fix! I've never eaten at the restaurant and always take my food to go so one thing I will say is to maybe bring a sturdy bag or box to put your meal in when you're carrying it out. The food is so hot and fresh that the the boxes start caving in on itself, especially if you've ordered more than one meal, and I've often come back home to the sauce of my noodles ending up all over the bag. read more

First, let me say that the tray came in super oily (should've taken that sign of not eating it) the noodles didn't have any flavor (should've stopped there) after finishing the food all that was left was a puddle of oil (I was disappointed in myself) After eating the oily noodles I ended up vomiting the food, (looked slim afterwards!) Over all I do NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! read more

This is not a typical Mongolian BBQ place. I have never seen teriyaki sauce or oyster sauce offered at a Mongolian BBQ. It made it take not authentic. If you are looking for g for a traditional Mongolian BBQ place this is not it. read more

Definitely wish I could give this place a zero. It's dirt as hell. The kid in the front snatched the tray from my hand and pretended to be the manager. Didn't even explain how it works, was my first time there. The absolute worst place I have ever been to. Luckily I didn't eat any of the food, I saw roaches by the door. Please shut down. read more

Ive never had Mongolian BBQ before so it's hard to compare it to what others have tasted like. For my first time, I do think it was good but nothing really special! The restaurants recommendation was to mix all the sauces to get the best flavor and that's what I chose to do! That came out good- I'm glad I went with their recommendation to mix it up. I ended up going with the beef option- from there you get to choose what type of add ins you like for example onions, green pepper, broccoli and other various veggies of your liking. I really liked the noodles! They were thick and I liked the texture. I do believe that this place is extremely overpriced. The large plate was $20 and the regular plate was $17. I got the large plate because I didn't know what to expect and I was sharing- they do give a generous portion because the container was literally stuffed with food but still too over priced in my opinion. The beef was good- It was thinly sliced and easy to eat. They don't have a lot of menu options. You basically choose between beef, chicken, or pork and they all come with the noodles/ same concept. Would I eat here again? I wouldn't go out of my way at all but I wouldn't avoid it either if someone around me wanted to have Mongolian I would be okay with it. read more

Mongolian restaurants as a whole are , by definition, NOT fancy. So, you pretty much know what you're going to get. Here's how this one differs a bit: 1- selection: load your bowl completely full, no need to leave roof for rice or noodles. They will give you noodles at the end. 2- fountain drink: They charge for re fills. This is a new policy. Given how much they charge for the first soda, it seems a bit tacky 3- sauce : they mix it for you. Part of the fun is mixing your own, so that was a bit disappointing. 4- ambiance: it's fine, it's a bit dicey but (again) you're not in a Michelin starred restaurant. It would be nice if they had a/c. They had one little fan blowing. This is riverside, a/c should be required by law. (Jk) 5 - parking : it's free out front. Being so close to the college, it's nice to find free parking. So, overall, if you have a hankering for Mongolian (and who doesn't on occasion) by all means go here. Just understand the environment and enjoy. read more

Soon as we walked in we were greeted. Very friendly and offered a cup to get a drink while we waited for other customers orders to be cooked. Which we didn't drink because the soda smelled like dirt mop water I believe they use tap water in the line. Not good. But I have to save it was my first time going here and I was not impressed at All!! My family & I loaded our bowl. They add the flavors of different sauces & chili flakes. They then add some chopped up noodles in a bowl! Just so cheap why are they cutting up the noodles in pieces?? They added the food on the grill I noticed them adding water on the food from a water pitcher which I really don't like because that watered down the flavor the ones the mall don't use plain water I don't have to have some kind of flavor. the water washed away whatever flavor it was supposed to have. I would not be back! $24 for flavorless food. read more

Service: The gentleman helping us was incredibly friendly! He explained how the process works & helped us understand the different options/combinations. He also provided us with cups for free drinks while we waited for the food to be cooked. Food: You fill up a bowl with as much as you can fit & then pass the food to someone who will cook it. You can ask them to season your food with different sauces. They then cook the food + noodles on a large "grill" with water and oil. You can get a pretty hefty amount of food in a large bowl, but most of the dish ends up being noodles. The protein takes up a lot of room in the bowl, so you don't end up getting that many veggies or other toppings. In the end, the final product kind of tastes like... mall noodles? I'm not sure how else to explain it. Like the food hits the spot, but it's not super flavorful or unique. For the price you're paying, I'm not sure if it's worth it. read more

The food tastes great! It is a bit pricey but worth it for the great taste and big portion size. I stopped getting the chicken because I kept finding pieces of nerve or bone though. However, the staff is very friendly and nice, and they try to serve you right away. Such amazing food! read more

First time trying Mongolian BBQ and was not disappointed. As soon as I walked it I was greeted. Staff is very friendly and such nice people. They've been in business for 18 years and are hopeful to last another 18. The restaurant was very clean and well organized. I got a regular bowl combo. I packed it with chicken and veggies, they said not to be shy , then did the combination of all sauces minus the spicy. They added the noodles at the grill and gave it back in a to go plate. Food was delicious and very flavorful. Plate can easily be shared between 2 people but I didn't know what to expect. All in all, definitely give this place a try and hopefully we'll all be here in 18 years. read more

I really like this place!! Even though I rarely come here. I got the regular but I stacked the bowl really high so It looks pretty much the same as a large. I got all the sauces even though the dish mostly tastes like hoisin sauce. Personally I love the fact that you can get as much meat as you want and since I'm a meat lover, I think it's worth it! Although the meat quality is bad, you get what you pay for. The dish got pretty salty towards the end but I like how it's made to order so the dish came out to be steamy hot! read more

Pretty decent place. Price is somewhere in the middle of cheap and expensive, but the portions are pretty generous. The two older dudes (one dem ain't that old) cooking there be the nicest guys ever. I've been here three times and they always be stacking my plate with a lot more food than fits in the bowl. Now the place is as clean as an Asian restaurant finna get, but you know what they say, dirty bathrooms = better food (Do not try at home). read more

I came here because I was craving mongolian bbq. Their Mongolian bbq is like any other place except they don't let you pack down the food. Now the real gem for this place is not their mongolian bbq, it's their garlic soy chicken wings. It takes them about 20 minutes to make them. The batter for the chicken is super delicious and crunchy. It's honestly one of the best Korean chicken I've ever tasted comparable to ones I've tasted from Korea. You might want to call ahead to have them make it ahead of time. read more

Not a bad place, I would recommend getting the larger bowl so you can stuff more meat and veggies in it. Also, use all the sauces when seasoning the meats. It comes together really well. I'm giving this place 4 stars because there are signs saying "Do not pack down the bowl" in efforts to load up your bowl more and there's no free refills. The price, taste, and amount is still pretty decent for only $15 a bowl. read more

I am a very big fan of Mongolian BBQ and have been coming here for years. The staff has generally been the same since I first came here and I don't typically have any interaction with them other than paying and picking up my order. The food is well worth the price you are paying for ($8.50 for a regular bowl) and you can put as much as or as little ingredients as you would like. I personally try to pack mine with lots of meats and tofu. read more

The food was good, and I enjoyed it, but the final bill shocked me. Maybe the weight adds up faster than I realized, but when I looked at what we paid versus what we got, something just felt off. Again, the food wasn't bad. I just didn't walk away feeling like the value matched the total. For nearly $80, I honestly feel like we could have gone to a full-service restaurant and spent less. I can't justify the cost it's 90 percent noodles ! Plus they charge per pound for the rice as well! Just my experience. The food was still good, the service was still good, but two things changed that led to my rating; 1) The price for a single diner, regardless of what you eat, is AYCE. With a tip, my dinner cost $30. 2) The sesame biscuit, perhaps my favorite part of the meal, was inedible. Instead of a crispy pouch, it was a flat doughy mess. When I complained, the manager brought me a warmer one, but it wasn't any better. (She explained to me that the biscuits are fried in a different kind of oil that doesn't cook the biscuits the same way.) Parking is wide open. The ambience is the same as it was before the pandemic. I'm not telling you to eat elsewhere. The food and service are still good. I just don't recommend eating here if you are on a budget or prefer a better biscuit. If I do return, it'll be for the lunch special, not the AYCE dinner.

i dont know why everyone is giving good reviews, i have eaten at at least ten other mongolian bbqs all over california this is not a real one i dont think.... try any other one!!!,... let me tell you why.... every other one ive been to you pay once...... and pile on all you want!!!!, i would get two bowls its cooks down to one!!! and go back like 3 times, i think all the ucr students dont know they are being scammed, (if they are not locals from california). there is a little sign by the meat saying dont smash meat down!!!!! UNBELIEVABLE!!! the meat comes in a big frozen space consuming ribbon every other mongolian bbq ive gone to thats how its done!!! you smash it down!!! because those big "meat ribbons" take up soo much space frozen like that. ok so i went there today my car was overheating and i thought i knew to expect a real pick me up because every other mongolian bbq is all u can eat and u make it ur way. but was horribly disappointed by that sign saying not to smash ur bowl down AND ONLY ONE BOWL!!! its obvious to me real mongolian bbq patrons have been there and these guys must have freaked out!!! anyways soo..... i wasnt going to "smash" my food down, but what i was going to do was find the small pieces of meat on the bottom to try to get closer to a satisfying bowl of meat after it cooks, so I gave the cook the bowl he suggested that he add the sauce, i said ok he cooks my bowl i stare into space thinking how unhappy i was, its hot im basically stuck there till my car cools so i can make it up the hill without getting too hot again. OK BRACE URSELF!!!! THIS GUY ADDED A BUNCH OF NOODLES!!!! THAT IS SLEAZY DUDE!!! NUMBER 1... I DONT LIKE NOODLES, IF I WANTED THEM ID ADD THEM!!!! NUMBER 2... THIS IS A WAY OF MASKING HOW MUCH MEAT IS NOT THERE!!!! AND TRYING TO TRICK YOU INTO THINKING YOU HAVE A FULL PLATE OF FOOD!!!!!!!!! ok now im even more upset at this because i have to try to eat around these yucky noodles i dont like and didn t put in my bowl!!!! but what is worse is those small pieces of meat are stuck to those gross *** noodles! soo im hot... i cant get a satisfying mouthful of meat im burning more calories trying to find meat to eat. im going to stop there...... If you're craving a dish full of fresh ingredients, look no further than this amazing Mongolian BBQ spot in Riverside! It's truly a delightful experience! I've been coming here since around 2010, back when there used to be a Sprint store a few doors down. This place is the best Mongolian restaurant around, and I travel all the way from Moreno Valley just to enjoy their fantastic food. No other restaurant can compare. The noodles are absolutely the best, and every dish is customized to your liking, ensuring a fresh, healthy, and fun meal every time. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff is always friendly and attentive. However, I do feel the owner needs to be more attentive to the cleanliness of the walls and consider updating the decor. A thorough cleaning would make a big difference. Despite this, I love this place and their food. If you're in Riverside, you must try this spot!!! bad service the owner is rude i ordered through door dash driver drove wrong direction not towards my house connected door dash they recommended I cancel and reorder I did and the owner refused to make the second order. It was towards the end of the night, but still. A bit disappointed and I didn't eat it all. Their take on jalapeño chicken is actually pretty good. Spicy and a good sauce, which the rice soaked up. Summary: The price was fair for the quantity, but I think the limited space and corresponding reduced selection keeps interesting menu choices offered elsewhere to maybe one or two items, of which one display, didn't appeal. Friendly cashier though, but if they have a prime time, it's probably mid afternoon.
