Absolutely delicious!! Super crunchy and juicy chicken made to order. Know that it take a little bit of time to make and comes out super hot and crunchy. I would wait a little to eat since it's straight out the fryer. Someone on here said it was the best chicken in Riverside... I have to agree! The place is nice and clean with lots of tables, and workers are helpful. We like the honey garlic, soy garlic, Gangnam style flavors the best! The gang-Jeong is good too and can taste the cinnamon but I am more drawn to the other flavors. Next time I will try the Galbi flavor as well. read more

I've been to several bBQ chicken chains, and each time it makes me wonder. When it comes to "fried chicken," I rank them near the bottom of my list, with KFC. Jollibee and Popeyes both rank higher. What gives them a slight edge over KFC are the sauces and other menu items. The bulgogi rice is very flavorful. At this location, the service is good. I didn't like my wings. They were extremely heavy on the breading. read more

This was our introduction to Korean fried chicken and wow. We loved what we ordered, whole chicken in the secret sauce, boneless wings in the honey garlic, and Ddeok-Bokki. Jacob was amazing! He was so kind and helpful. He walked us through their menu and just took great care of us. The restaurant was nice and clean. Definitely will be returning. read more

The food was really fresh and tasty. Staff were friendly and helpfull.. Military friendly!

Stopped by here on a random Friday night. There's parking in the structure across the street but also some spots in front of the restaurant. It wasn't very busy so we were able to place our orders and get seated quickly. The food didn't take too long to come out. They provide utensils, plates for sharing, and water cups. You have to ask for ice at the counter though. Everything was pretty good though I would skip on the mozzarella sticks next time. I thought they would be the Korean version but they were the kind you can buy frozen at Ralph's. read more

I've been to this chain a few times as well as a similar brand but I felt like its time to finally get a review going! The food was much better than I expected and the quality of the fry and flavor was amazing! I came in slightly conservative with my thoughts as I'm much more supportive of their competition but I was definitely pleased with how their quality was! Soy garlic - on the slightly saltier side but definitely is complemented well with their radish. My always choice when I try Korean fried chicken! Caribbean - very curious taste as you can see where the inspiration for the flavor came from. The spices and sauces play well for a great and balanced sweet and seasoned flavor. Wings of fire - I did expect a bit more heat from them but it is definitely a classic sweet and fiery flavor. The heat definitely builds up as you go and would give your average customer the sweats! The cashier was kind and quick to receive us as we entered and made sure that we got our food as soon as it came out! The interior is very clean and made for a later dinner with the family or a late hangout with friends. I was boppin to their music choices and my table was feeling it too despite not being huge fans of kpop haha Overall I am very happy with the flavors and the quality of the chicken that I got and didn't have much to complain about here! read more

Although it's a regional chain, each location feels distinctly like a ma & pa establishment, especially the friendly service and clean front dining area. The food is expertly prepared and if you desire flavors with a Korean influence, look no further. I've only had the chicken here to date, but bone-in or boneless, there's something for everyone. The crispy batter fried in clean oil yields a brilliant golden brown to the finished product. I asked about the boneless on my first order and learned that they use thigh meat, in big portions, which yields a flavorful and tender end result. If you're thinking about boneless from Wing Stop et al., think again. My current favorite flavor is the Caribbean jerk with its spicy and savory blend of peppers, allspice, and cinnamon. Over a bowl of rice at home, just add sesame seeds and scallions to liven up the presentation. The big screen tvs often show World Cup games, so grab a booth and stay awhile. read more

The food here is so good we went 3 times just this week. So so happy we finally have a delicious Korean chicken spot close to home that's open pretty late. The chicken is cooked to order so it's crispy and hot when we get it. It's even crispy when we take it home (as long as we leave the box open in the car en route). We tried the half and half, which was pretty good... But our favorites have got to be the Cheese & Honey ones. The place is clean and the staff friendly. There's parking right in front but also across the street there's a parking structure (saw it but never needed to use it so I don't know if it's paid or free). Would definitely keep coming back here for their delicious wings. read more

Everytime my family and I order a fried chicken from here, it always looks like they gave us someone else's leftovers. This happened multiple times. We're very dissapointed, we tried this chicken place multiple times because its the only korean fried chicken near us, and the condition of the meat is just not good at all. read more

I've been here a couple times, and it's always amazing. The chicken is crispy, meaty, and delicious. You can't go wrong with the half and half whole chicken (golden original and special). Don't forget the radish! The rose ddeok-bokki pairs well with the chicken. Service is great and the establishment is clean. If you're in the mood for drinks, they have a good selection of sodas, Korean beer, and soju. Great place for yummy food and chill vibes! read more

OMG, these are the best wings ever. Cooked to perfection. Nice and big. Great flavors and seasonings we will be going back.

I've been to other bb.q Chicken locations that have ready-to-go boxes under heat lamps, but this downtown Riverside spot makes everything fresh to order -- which means you'll be waiting about 15-20 minutes. When I went to pick up an online order, it wasn't too busy, but service was still a little slow since there was only one person juggling the register, dine-in service, and takeout orders. That said, the food quality definitely makes up for the wait. The chicken is super crispy and flavorful, just as good as other locations! Parking can be a bit limited -- there are a few spots right out front, but there's also a parking structure just across the street. Overall, a great addition to the Riverside area :) read more

For a casual but delicious chicken and korean inspired meal, this is top notch! Definitely worth the price! You will not be disappointed in the chicken... actually the kimchi fried rice was so good too! Order from a counter, but they bring the food to you. However, you have to get your own silverware, water and napkins. And clean up after yourselves. The food came to us quickly, maybe 15 minutes, or so. They sell beer and soju and canned soda... no free refills. But the food is so worth it! Original bone in wings were piping hot! The secret sauce wings are also great. French fries are fantastic! We want to come back and try other items from the menu. Go check them out! read more

The chicken is very good. The sauces that accompany the chicken are also quite delicious. The restaurant is clean and has convenient, albeit paid parking nearby. My issue is the price. The lunch special looks reasonably priced but holy smokes the cost for food for 3 of us, plus a side and drinks was really crazy and the wait was pretty long as well. Not a place I would come to all the time, especially with a family, but for two and maybe lunch, the chicken is really good and flavorful and not at all dried out for fried food. read more

My wife and I fell in love with Korean culture through K-dramas. One staple of a lot of our favorite dramas, is when they go out to get chicken. Been here twice and the chicken was very flavorful and cripsy! Both times I went it wasn't crowded and we were able to sit and enjoy our food not that long after we sat down. It's located on a busy street but there's a parking structure right next to it that is usually free, or at least the times I parked there which were in the afternoon. There's also a nice big window in front if you enjoy watching the city activities unfold while you eat some crispy chicken! read more

Super excited to see that the bb.q chicken chain opened up in Downtown Riverside! Found the chicken to be consistent with its other locations. It was fresh, juicy, and the sauces were great. In particular the Gangnam style and the honey garlic flavors stood out, and of course you can't go wrong with the original. The secret sauce was just okay in my opinion, the fries were nice and crispy. Service, location, and cleanliness of the restaurant was great. Nicely decorated and spacious interior that accommodated our large party well. Very happy to dine here and can't wait to go back for more! read more

This is hands-down the best BBQ Chicken franchise I've been to--and I've tried several across California and out of state. What sets this location apart is that everything is made fresh to order. You can tell the moment the food hits the table. The chicken is served piping hot, incredibly crispy on the outside, and juicy inside. Nothing sits under heat lamps. The difference in quality is obvious. I ordered the Golden Original and Secret Spicy. Both were excellent. The Golden Original has that perfect light, crunchy texture, and the Secret Spicy packs just enough heat with a hint of sweetness. You can't go wrong with either one. The restaurant itself is spotless, well-lit, and modern. Definitely one of the nicest interiors I've seen from this franchise. It feels more like a casual sit-down spot than a typical fast-casual place. Service was friendly, and even though everything is cooked to order, the wait wasn't long at all. If you've tried BBQ Chicken before, this location sets a new bar. If you haven't, start here. You'll understand why it gets so much praise. read more

Don't order fries before the chicken, you'll finish the fries before the chicken even comes out. The two girls in the front were very nice. They had great music playing on a Saturday night. A hell of a vibe. Ranch wasn't the most amazing. I counted 11 tickets in the window at one point and these people looked like they had been waiting for a cool minute before we even ordered. After a 20 minute wait they brought out bone-in after we ordered boneless. So another 12 minutes go by (the window says "update if order takes longer than 15 minutes" which they never did get). Anyways, the chicken is super flavorful. Got honey garlic. Tastes exactly like that. Very delicious. read more

ZERO STARS -- Worst Experience I've Ever Had at Any Restaurant I placed a large order (around $110) at BBQ Chicken Riverside, expecting a decent meal and to earn rewards as advertised -- instead, I experienced the most disrespectful and unprofessional treatment I've ever encountered in any business. Before paying, I asked the cashier how to earn my rewards points. He confidently told me, "You do that online, just input your receipt number on the website." After paying, I sat down, went to the website -- and discovered that was completely wrong. The website says rewards are earned only through the app by scanning a QR code after creating an account. So I downloaded the app, set up my account, and went back to the cashier to ask if he could apply my points retroactively. Instead of owning up to the misinformation, he said, "The system is down." I calmly said, "Then cancel the order and refund my money." His response? "F* you."** Yes -- the cashier cursed directly at me in front of customers. When I asked to speak to another employee, I was told the shocking truth: that man was the owner. He finally processed a refund -- but only after refusing to show me any written policy and arguing about giving cash back versus credit card refund. The entire experience was hostile, dishonest, and humiliating. I rarely write reviews, but people need to know: If this is how the owner treats customers, imagine the culture behind the counter. Save your money. Save your dignity. Go anywhere else. There are plenty of restaurants in Riverside that know how to treat people with basic respect and honesty. read more

Eh. I had been to the one in palm desert previously and it was really good. This one I wasn't as impressed I ordered the same chicken but I feel like it wasn't cooked long enough there were large chunks of wet breading on the chicken and overall it just wasn't any as good as the previous time I tried it wait time is also very long I get it they make it fresh to order but there has to be a better way when they have a large rush and lots of "to-go" orders. The positives, I feel like the "8 piece" is a lot of chicken and good value for price compared to like a wing place for example. read more
