Found this place via Yelp. App it's new because my sis in law never knew it was around and she live a mile away. We were looking for a quick lunch before she dropped us off at the airport. Perfect timing, we ordered, got our food, ate, and finished just in time to drive to ONT to catch our flight even in traffic. Service was great. I loved the barley tea they gave us instead of water. So refreshing on a hot day. My sis in law and her hubby shared a bulgogi plate, hubby and I shared bim bim bap, plus they gave us all the different banchan(side dishes). Perfect for lunch. We can't eat as much now as we get older. And we all left full. It is a small place located in a plaza full of shops. You can enter from the back or front. We didn't realize we parked in back. My sis in law said she for sure will come back with her daughter, and grande toddler.
Delicious Korean food. Service is great. Ample amount of parking and place is clean. Will definitely be coming back. Come check out Korean Restaurant in the City of Riverside.
This is my second time here but my first dining in. Dining in is great because then I can really enjoy the banchan dishes. Service was sufficient. There may be a bit of a language barrier. They aren't over attentive. It was not very busy in a Saturday during lunchtime. My friend and I shared the galbi. It was perfect for 2 people . It came out hot and sizzling. The meat was tender. We also got the dumplings which were ok. The sides were all very good. We were able to refill them which is important to me. Overall, I am glad they opened right next to my work!
Visiting family and they've always rave about this place, and NOW I know why. Chefs are amazingly fast with fresh beautiful, delicious, hot food served in a flash. Service was A+! These ladies are happy to be there and on the spot if you need anything, but I don't think that we as a party of 6 lacked anything. I tasted every dish and and all accouterments and i was in hog heaven! Even though they're fast, we never felt rushed to leave. I hope they take me there again!.
Was in the area and while I came for Gra Pow and the gym, I wanted to try any other interesting spots. My go-to with any Korean spot is the japchae. No different here. This was a great portion of it, just not my favorite. Also, if you don't eat meat, beware-there was a good amount of meat in here that I wasn't expecting and had to take out.
I visited the previous location in Corona two years ago and am happy to report that the food is just how I remembered! We came for weekend lunch and the service was great. They did get busy once noon hit, so plan accordingly. The food is excellent. They have some of the best banchans. The galbi could've been more tender, but that was because we were trying to clean off the bones. I also tried the kimchi pancake, which I'd recommend, as well as the spicy rice cakes (I'd skip).
Amazing hidden gem in the IE! We stopped in looking for some tofu soup, and their side dishes are pretty tasty. I love that they offer combos for you to try different meat entrees, so we tried the bossam combo. Everything tasted phenomenal, and service was especially nice.

Okay but why is a place literally called Korean Restaurant one of the best spots I've had in Riverside lol This place is such a hidden gem. We got the bulgogi, potstickers, and fish cake, and honestly, everything was SO good. The bulgogi came out sizzling, super flavorful, and tender. The potstickers were perfectly cooked, and the fish cake had that slightly sweet, savory flavor that just hits. What really stood out though was all the little side dishes, they just kept coming and every single one was good. You can tell they don't cut corners here. Also... the portions?? You really get a bang for your buck. We left full and happy without feeling like we overspent. If you're in Riverside and want legit, no frills Korean food that delivers, this is the spot. Don't let the simple name fool you. Will be back when I am in town again.
The best beef bolgolke I have had in a beautiful new Korean Restaurant set right here in Riverside. The modern clean decor is welcoming as are the staff who sat my party promptly. They quickly brought us barley tea on the house with all the Korean side dishes that 1-2 are different each time I've eaten here. The sides are fresh, with many choices including the kimchee, pickled bean sprouts, potato. The appetizer dumplings are delicious, juicy, authentic that I wanted to order more. The beef bolgolke came out sizzling with the smell of onions and beef. I chose purple rice with beans as it is super healthier for you. Cannot wait to try more menu items.
Had no idea such an authentic Korean spot existed in Riverside until I randomly searched Yelp while in the area, and I'm glad I did. The menu is extensive, but I went with the spicy soontubu (kimchi & beef) and bossam combo. Both were excellent. The pork belly was tender, the cabbage perfectly steamed, and everything else on the plate came together really well. You can always judge a Korean restaurant by the banchan, and this place delivered. They had over 10 side dishes, and every single one was flavorful and on point. That's when you know the main dishes will be good, and they didn't disappoint. The name being simply "Korean Restaurant" gave me a laugh, but it fits. Simple, authentic, and done right. As someone who's Korean, I can say this place is legit. Even the staff being fully Korean you know adds to that authenticity. Definitely a gem--I'll be back to try more.
I thought this experience was kind of funny at first. I was craving Korean food one day, so I literally searched "korean restaurant" to see what was nearby, and that's when I found out there's actually a place in Riverside called Korean Restaurant. The name made me laugh, but it also made me curious, so my friend and I decided to check it out. I'm assuming it might be somewhat new because I hadn't noticed it before, but I'm really glad we gave it a try because the food was delicious. The ambiance feels very much like a traditional Korean restaurant. They were playing K-pop songs in the background, and they had the classic metal chopsticks and silverware that you usually see at Korean spots, which made the whole experience feel authentic and cozy. The staff were also really accommodating and sweet. At one point I mentioned that I have a peanut allergy after noticing the warning label on the menu, and they immediately made sure to check that none of the dishes we ordered contained peanuts, which I really appreciated. The prices honestly weren't bad either. The Kimchi Fried Rice was $17.99, and the Galbi was $33.99, which felt pretty reasonable for the portion and quality. The only small issue we had was with the banchan refills. We asked a few times and it was a little hard for them to come back to our table. I think it might have been because we were seated toward the back, so they probably didn't notice us as easily. Still, the food was really good, the staff were kind, and the atmosphere made it a great place to satisfy a Korean food craving.
Prob the closest thing you're going to get to really REALLY good Korean food outside of LA/OC. We went in a Sunday afternoon and waited about 10 min before being seated. The place is small and smelled delicious. The Bulgogi and Galbi were good, although my sister said the bulgogi needed sauce but I liked it just the way it was. They do give you a lot of meat. My sister ordered the wings and she liked those. She's a picky eater so that says a lot. I did have a piece and I liked it. I ordered chapjae and it was good (but reheated at home, it was not). They give you all the typical banchan. The kimchi was good, and I'm picky about that because I live next to an old Korean couple who makes it every year and gives us a huge jar of it. This place is pretty expensive, for everything we paid over $100. We did order enough for 3-4 people, so broken down its average but there was only 2 of us this day. They do have a four item to-go menu for $12 though. The water and tea are free. I would definitely come back for the food. The service was pretty good. They came and took our order right away and we didn't have to wait long to get it.

The service unfortunately really dampened our entire experience. Our Korean server seemed nice at first, but her attitude quickly changed when I didn't immediately order right away. She would scowl at me and seemed visibly annoyed when I needed more time to decide. She also kept pushing us to order drinks, and when one of us declined, she would roll her eyes and act irritated. Throughout the meal, she came across as very passive aggressive. It felt like she was only friendly toward certain guests and became noticeably impatient. I understand that servers have a lot to do, but the attitude made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. Aside from the service, I really liked the interior design and overall style of the restaurant. The atmosphere had a nice Korean feel to it. We ordered the bibimbap, Korean kimchi soup, and blood soup. The food was good and tasted fine overall. I especially enjoyed the side dishes and kimchi soup, which had more of a comforting, homey taste to it. read more

Guys, you don't know how excited I've been waiting for this restaurant to open for months now! I finally got to try this restaurant and am impressed by the decor and food quality. The service was alright, but understandable as it was an extremely busy night, even on a Wednesday. There was a 20 min wait to be seated and only about 3 servers for 20 tables. Overall, I would definitely recommend this spot for some authentic Korean food in the IE. Banchan was unique and had wishes there were refills. read more
The restaurant is very spacious with beautiful decor. We were so excited to try it out after seeing it opened as there are so few korean restaurants in IE and it didn't disappoint. The service was alright, but it was a bit difficult to ask for more side dishes. We often had to go up to them to ask. The tofu soup was flavorful with lots of seafood mixed in. The spicy pork was tender with not too much fat. The side dishes were very standard, but we absolutely loved the marinated baby potatoes. They were super soft with a nice balance between sweet and salty. The mixed rice was absolutely delicious as well and helped make this meal stand out compared to other tofu soup places. Overall, everything was delicious and I'd definitely recommend this place. The only thing we found upsetting was the portion size for the price. It is a bit pricier than most restaurants and the portions are smaller as well. read more
Service was friendly and quick, very helpful with picking out a great meal, especially with having friends that are unfamiliar with Koran food. Food prepared fresh and very good. Ambiance of the restaurant, combined with the food prep, cutlery, and decorations, gave off a very cosy Korean atmosphere. read more
I heard that this restaurant is run by the people who ran Jin Han in Corona, which was a really solid authentic Korean place. Based on the menu and banchan (side dishes), I think it's true! We got our usual beef tofu pot and galbi (full portions for $20 and $33, not the combo which is half the amount). The portions aren't huge but that's what the banchan are unlimited refill. Was also in the mood for some comfort food so good a Budae Jjigae (army stew) which is a spicy kimchi stew with the protein options soldiers had such as spam, salted pork belly, and sausage, along with a pack of ramen. Our was initially missing the ramen but they quickly remade it when we pointed it out. The place was full the whole time we were there for Saturday dinner but three servers were able to keep up. Our server, Jin, was super nice and attentive. The ambiance is relaxed but elegant. It's nicely decorated with subtle Korean elements. Overall very happy to have authentic Korean food in the neighborhood which is a little low on variety. Hope it can stay! Btw, I asked if they're updating the name but no plans to... at least nobody will be confused about what kind of food they're signing up for! read more

I've been here too many times to count and it's always perfect. Some new items on the menu including Bulgogi Kimbop which a huge portion and just perfect. Woo Young Woo would be proud (IYKYK). read more

I'm glad there's a Korean restaurant in town that's not kbbq. Don't get me wrong, I love kbbq. But I've been craving Bossam and that's exactly what I ordered for lunch. It came with rice, soup/stew of choice, and of course banchan. Craving satisfied! Can't wait to come back with my sisters to try the other dishes. read more
Recommended by our son who said we should try this place as we were visiting from out of town. They brought out a cold tea in a bottle with metal glasses. I also requested hot tea. They served barley tea which I love. After a few minutes, the assorted Banchan was brought out. We placed our order of chicken bibimbap, japchae, dol bibimbap with soup combo and beef bulgogi, all with white rice. Wait wasn't too long. Unfortunately, my chicken bibimbap order was delayed for some reason. As it turned out, my husband had that mixed with his combo. Staff apologized due to a miscommunication in the kitchen and proceeded to make my order. Didn't wait too long afterwards, but they forgot to include the fried egg. The restaurant is very nicely decorated and staff is very nice. read more
I've always said that Riverside and the Mission Grove/Orangecrest area needed a good Korean restaurant so I was really excited to hear about this restaurant opening up! Decided to come here with some friends on a Sunday night and had to wait about 5 minutes to be seated for a party of four. It was pretty busy and still soft opening so it took a bit for the waiter to come see us. They took our order and the food came out pretty quickly though along with all the side dishes. Side dishes were really good and there was a good variety! They also had really good barley tea as well. I ordered the bibimbap as my main, had a seafood pancake to share with my party, and tried some of my wife's tofu soup. The bibimbap was solid and had a generous portion. The seafood pancake was huge and really tasty as well. I thought the tofu soup in particular was delicious and the broth had a lot of flavor. Overall, I had a great experience here. There is plenty of parking at the Mission Grove plaza and you can enter the restaurant through the front and the back. The restaurant has a good amount of indoor and outdoor seating although everyone ate inside. The space was modern, clean, and nicely decorated. Can't wait to come back for more! read more

Good side dishes and attentive staff. The kimchi was lightly aged and flavorful, just the way I've liked it. Wasn't offered hot bone broth to go with the cold noodles like traditional korean restaurants, so kind of bummed. Also no fried fish as part of default side dishes :( While the flavor was good, the kalbi was slightly thicker than I liked for tenderness purposes. Beef stone pot needs the gochujang sauce, don't leave out when they bring you it! Expect $20 per menu item but you should have enough leftovers for a second (smaller) meal. read more
You have no idea how thrilled I am to see a comeback of my beloved (now closed) Jinhan Korean Restaurant from Corona open up in southeastern Riverside (Mission Grove area) under their new name: Korean Restaurant. I was so thrilled to see a newly opened Korean restaurant pop up on Yelp. And, to my surprise, a photo of a familiar-looking menu layout caught my eye! "Wait - no way! This menu looks like (now-closed) Jinhan's menu in Corona! Are they the same owners?" I immediately called to check if this location was real and the lady I spoke with confirmed that they had just opened the day before (opened on 12/08/25). I asked her some questions and she confirmed they were the same owners just under the new name "Korean Restaurant". "OMG! Okay, I will be right there," I told the lady. I hurriedly made my way to Mission Grove and - lo and behold - I spotted the restaurant as I drove in. A little background for you: I was a fan of their former restaurant Jinhan in Corona so I (along with family and friends) were sad when they closed their restaurant this past Spring. LOCATION & PARKING Korean Restaurant is located in Mission Grove in Riverside just a couple miles west of the 215 freeway, and is nestled next to Cookie Co in the Stater Bros shopping center. There's plenty of parking but be careful as it is near the entrance to the plaza and the round-about. AMBIANCE Upon entry, I spotted some familiar employees. I was happy to see them, as they were quite busy. The restaurant was half full but busy with to go orders. The layout is more narrow than the previous location but it does have a more brighter ambiance. It's brightly lit and airy. I enjoyed the music that was playing lightly in the background. FOOD & DRINKS They provide complimentary chilled water and roasted barley tea. It's delicious and refreshing. * GALBI - These beef short ribs are my favorite. Of all the Korean restaurants I've been to, they have the best marinade for Galbi. It's savory, slightly sweet, and a bit sticky. It's delicious! * STEAMED EGG - New to their menu and I love how fluffy this is! * SOON DUBU (Beef Tofu Soup) - Ordered the "spicy" and it was a tolerable heat. It came with an egg to add to the soup. The tofu soup was perfect and smooth. * BEEF BULGOGI - This leans toward the sweeter side compared to Galbi but it is delicious. They use thin slices of beef so it's not as tough as Galbi but equally delicious. * BANCHAN - There were 8 sides at our table, which was plenty. All were various flavors and textures. My favorite are the kimchi, cucumbers, and the braised potatoes (Gamja Jorim). SERVICE Being that it was Day 2 of their Soft Opening, service was a bit slow for folks eating inside. It's probably because there were so many take-out orders. Nonetheless, two of the employees remembered me from eating at Jinhan. They were really kind and friendly. SEATING & ACCESSIBILITY For those with wheelchairs, walkers, or strollers, it might be a bit difficult getting around inside because the layout is narrow. However, they do have outdoor patio seating if you're looking for space. There is a small private room in the back that appears to seat about 8 guests. Otherwise, most of the tables seat up to 6 guests. RESTROOMS Restrooms are all the way to the back (before the private room) and the women's restroom was very clean. It had a very nice scent, which reminded me of Creed men's cologne (so nice)! Overall, if you're looking to try something new in the area or are wanting to eat some Korean dishes, I would highly recommend giving Korean Restaurant a try. The flavors are delicious. I can't wait to come back and try some of my other favorite dishes like their Dolsot Bibimbap! read more

I rarely take the time to review a place these days, but I really feel like they deserve the mention. I've been here three times over the past few months, and every visit has had me looking forward to the next. If I lived closer, I would probably be here a lot more often. Growing up in LA's Koreatown, I developed pretty high standards for Korean food, and it's not always easy to find places that capture the quality and authenticity I remember. This is the first Korean restaurant I've tried in the Inland Empire that truly delivers. One of my biggest indicators of a great Korean restaurant is the banchan. The side dishes may seem simple, but they say a lot about the care and attention a restaurant puts into its food. The banchan here is always fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared. When a restaurant puts that much effort into the small details, it's usually a sign that everything else on the menu will be just as good, and that has absolutely been my experience here. Everything I've tried has been delicious, and the quality has remained consistent with every visit. On top of that, the atmosphere is welcoming and family friendly. My boys love coming here, which makes it an easy choice whenever we're craving Korean food. I highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for authentic, well prepared Korean food in the Inland Empire. It has quickly become one of our favorite places, and it never disappoints. read more
I've been really looking forward to this restaurant opening! Coming from the OC area, I got used to having Korean food easily accessible. Until this spot opened, the only Korean restaurants in Riverside were mainly KBBQ-focused (and there isn't a stand-alone Korean spot in Moreno Valley), so I'm really happy to see a place offering classic dishes. *C3 Bulgolgi + Tofu soup combo: The bulgogi had a lot of nice savory flavor, and I liked that it was piled high on the dish. It arrived sizzling on a bed of white and green onions. We ordered the tofu soup without spice, and it came with plenty of tofu, pieces of beef, and an egg to add on top. I appreciated the generous amount of tofu, and I plan to try it again with a bit more spice next time. *K2 Seolleongtang (ox bone soup with beef): As one of my favorite comfort soups, the seolleongtang here had a rich bone broth with a large amount of beef included. My favorite part was how much beef they added as it made it especially enjoyable to eat alongside the noodles. They provide salt, green onions, and chili on the side so you can customize the broth, as is standard for this soup. *Banchan: I normally don't comment on the banchan (side dishes), since it's a standard part of Korean cuisine, but I wanted to mention it here as I was impressed with both the quantity and quality of the side dishes served. The only note I'd make is that for the price, the entrees we ordered were on the smaller side compared to what I'm used to seeing in restaurants. I recognize this is the only Korean restaurant in the area, but I still wanted to mention it. That said, it doesn't take away from the flavor! The interior decor is thoughtful and well put together. You can tell the owners invested a lot to make the space feel cohesive, and it honestly feels like an authentic, nice restaurant I'd find in OC. I also appreciated how patient the servers were in explaining the dishes to customers. It was clear there was a lot of passion behind the food and the restaurant, and that they really want to introduce Korean cuisine to the community. The front faces a roundabout, so the closest parking is either on the other side of the building or across the street in a larger parking lot. There's also outdoor seating with cute fairy lights that light up the space in the evening. I think this is a great spot to come with friends, family, or on a date, and a great place to try a lot of Korean cuisine or be introduced to it. I came here because of all the great reviews, and it definitely lived up to the hype! The food was fresh, flavorful, and tasted like it was made with quality ingredients. We ordered the japchae, bibimbap on a hot stone plate, and soju, and everything was delicious. The service was excellent--we were greeted right away, everyone was friendly, and the restaurant was clean and felt fresh inside (especially on such a hot day). I live just down the street, so I can definitely see this becoming one of my regular spots. The only thing I wished for was a little more protein in both of our dishes. The meat was really good--I just wanted more of it! Next time I'll probably just pay for extra meat because it was so good. read more
this new Korean restaurant is delicious. I had the mild spice tofu soup and the beef bulgogi. The bulgogi was juicy and full of flavor. The tofu soup was delicious as well and probably could have gotten up on the spice level. The service was great and the waitress was attentive. The restaurant is spacious and seating is comfortable. The sides were probably my favorite! lol I loved the kimchi and pickled cucumbers I wanted to ask for some to go! Highly recommend checking this spot out. read more

pleasantly surprised of the new korean restaurant in riverside. prices are good and lots of variety on the menu. tofu soup & meat combo was yummy. the octopus bibimbap was super good bc they added fresh perilla leaves and masago. so flavorful. i also liked how they served ice cold barley tea, very refreshing. banchan was okay but like the diff options read more
Great atmosphere here at the restaurant, the employees give you an option of what drink you'd like to start with weather it is hot or cold the give a barley tea! Super refreshing! The food is super fresh and great tasting, and just like the famous Korean style dining, you do get endless sides with certain dishes. Temperature and texture of the food was cooked to our liking, super tender protein options. Spicy pork was amazing and stayed hot until the meal was done, the soup was just on point as well read more
Best Korean food I've ever had. Food tasted so fresh and clean, very easy to clean our plates. The galbi was so tender and I loved that the hot stone crisped up the rice. The wings also had a nice sweet and tangy flavor with great crunch. The kimchi seafood soup was very flavorful, but wish it was spicier (we ordered medium hot). Staff was also so friendly and attentive with refilling our banchan even when it was extremely busy for a Sunday night. Wait wasn't too long and we killed time by visiting the dog bakery next door. A little pricey but worth it for the quality and flavor. Can't wait to come back! read more

Very generous portions. Very fresh ban chan. I had the rare beef bi bim bop and my husband had beef stew, which came with 3 whole ribs' worth of beef! Service was fast and the food was excellent. We will return. read more

It didn't get the full stars but ONLY because I'm putting it up against Din Tai Fung! And that's saying something! Other than that what's important is this.... the food was a delicious dupe for Din Tai! And the pricing was very fair and in point! The important part though, the food was incredibly delicious and have since gone back a couple of times now since finding it! I love all types of Asian food.... better than my beloved Mexican! But honestly the dumplings and wonton s are soooo good! Dammit, now I want some right now. Ok just go you won't regret it. Getting dressed to go out now... bye! read more

Came in as a party of 3 for dinner and the place was pretty busy, which is usually a good sign. Unfortunately they were out of the naengmyeon (cold buckwheat noodles), which I was a little sad about because I was really craving it. Instead, I got the bibimbap combo with soondobu (spicy tofu soup). I'd definitely recommend getting at least medium spice for the soondobu. My friend got the mild and said it didn't have much flavor, but the medium had a really good kick and tasted great. The bibimbap itself was pretty solid since you really can't go wrong with it, especially once you mix in the gochujang sauce. Overall, it's a pretty decent Korean spot. Good for a casual dinner and I'd come back again (hopefully next time they'll have the naengmyeon!). read more
