This is one of the better Mongolian BBQ's I have been to. You don't have to worry about food contamination and I have never gotten sick or food poisoning from here. They have a good selection of additions to your dish; vegetables, meats, sauces, etc. I had a hard time deciding what to pick with all the sauce options, but still came out with something tasty. Stopped by for dinner for the first time after they reopened, and everything seems to be just as I remembered. The process is standard for most Mongolian BBQ restaurants -- customers line up to pack their bowls with choices of meat (beef, pork, chicken, and lamb), vegetables (everything from shredded cabbage to carrots to zucchini), noodles, and sauce, which is then handed off to the cook. Once the food has been fully cooked on a hot, flat grill, it is then placed on the counter for the customer to pick up. I packed my own bowl with beef, noodles, shredded cabbage, carrots, baby corn, and water chestnuts. The sauce station had three different sets of instructions to follow, depending on whether customers wanted "light", "recommended", or "strong", and I ended up choosing "strong" (I love sauce). There isn't any hard rule with the sauce, though, so customers can mix it up however they want to. The food was greasy, spicy, salty -- everything I happened to be craving that day. Thursday, December 22, 2022 Updated review. My wife and I had lunch here today (just the two of us). It has been several months or so since we have been here last. Food is the same although quite a bit more expensive and they don't offer any of the extra things included in the price that they used to have like sweet and sour chicken etc. and other food items. Lunch is now $15.95 per person on weekdays and $20.99 on the weekends. Very expensive. They give you less food options but charge you more. The thing I'm most unhappy about with this place is they now charge you an extra 6% service charge. It's really a tip but that's what they call it. A service charge. Doesn't matter if it's only one person or two people or whatever they're going to charge you that 6% extra and you won't know it until after you've paid your bill. So basically we didn't know about this extra added service charge until after we paid the bill because they don't inform you of this. So I tipped the hostess cash and I tipped the guy cooking the food cash and then when I went to pay the bill it had an extra 6% already added on the bill so everyone here got tipped very well today. I don't mind tipping at all but I don't appreciate the practice of automatically including a service charge (tip) into the bill especially without them informing you that that's what they are doing. So I will not be coming back to RC Mongolian ever again. They lost us as customers. read more

Only reason for the 4 instead of a 5 is the cleanliness of the stations where you load your bowl. It should be cleaned more often and fresh eggs rolls instead of soggy ones that been sitting under a heat lamp. read more
