First time at an AYCE Mongolian BBQ place. This place is tucked away in Pomona. You would not have known it's AYCE. It's about $30-$35 a person. You can fill up on however much meat, veggies and noodles. There's also a sauce bar to sauce up your Mongolian bowl. The choice of meat they have is decent with beef, chicken, and pork. Veggies are cabbage, carrots, bean sprouts etc. Your sauce can be as savory or spicy as you want. There's basic diced garlic as well for no spice but with some flavoring. You can pack your bowl as much and as high as you want. It just takes longer to cook. You all line up with your bowl and the cook dumps it on this really hot large round grill. You can build and cook as many bowls as you want. Just be sure to be able to eat it to not let it all go to waste. At the table they also give you a plate of egg roll appetizers, soup, and white rice. The appetizers are good and crunchy. Too bad I'm loading up on beef and noodles. The food/price ratio here is one of the best deals I've seen personally. You get your combo order which comes with your plate that you can fill yourself with as much as you can fit, literally. We arrived on Sunday evening and were seated immediately. The atmosphere is simple and clean. Our waitress took our drink order in immediately and our food order when she delivered our drinks. Then she delivered our soup and the tiny little egg rolls. We ate that and proceeded to build our bowls at the "salad bar-like" station and took our bowls to the adjacent cooking station where a chef cooked it on a large stone. The meat choices were pork, chicken, turkey and beef. Hint on putting the meat in your bowl. Squish it down as much as possible to leave plenty of room for veggies. Gloves are supplied to touch your raw food. There were about 18 different vegetable choices and 3 choices of spiciness sauces to add. Service is prompt and attentive although staff speaks limited English. The overall atmosphere and decor look like something from the '70s and the restaurant could use a "freshening up" (there are no windows). But the interior is clean and the food choices are bountiful. You can choose meats such as turkey, beef, chicken, and pork and they are usually well supplied. I notice some people smash the meats and veggies down into the bowl as much as possible to maximize the serving. The egg rolls, while somewhat greasy, are especially delicious. Soup is average. The food is pretty good and the pocket biscuits are awesome. The prices I feel are reasonable. The interior hasn't changed since I first began which brings a sense of nostalgia for me. The owner is an older Asian woman and husband. A young Asian adult showed up during lunch and began helping out. The staff was pleasant and the owner was nice. My only reason for not giving five stars was because they didn't turn on the air conditioner, so it was a little bit uncomfortable, but not that bad around 12:00 noon. Once you get in, there is a large amount of parking in the back that they share with the restaurant next to them. Interior = 3/5 Been going here for a while, dare I say as a kid. It hasn't changed since then to be honest. This could be good for some since they stay to the roots, though for others it does come off a little out dated. To me, yes it could be a little more cleaned up, but it has that nostalgic vibe for me. There is booth seating for 2-4 people, maybe 5 if you squeeze. Then one bigger both and tables for larger parties. No outdoor seating is available here and there is a small waiting area. Service = 5/5 I've come during busy times and slower times. The staff tends to be the same and are the ones running around when it's busy. When I have worked with them, they do their best to check in often and also leave us alone when we have food in our mouths. Because they tend to be tight staffed I tend to be more on the chill side when it comes to wait times. Order = 5/5 Menu is simple - pick your combo and once the meat gets there, you go a stack. I like the options and tend to go heavy on mushrooms, onions, and noodles. Always a fun game to stack and see how big you can get your food pile. Once you stack you go to the cook on the right. He cooks it for you and voila, you have your meal. I like the overall dish. Is it pretty? No. Is it tasty? Yes. It's comfort food in one of it's many forms. This is some good eating! Family run Chinese restaurant that serves family meals but stir fry style! The staff are super friendly and want your experience to be the best. First, you select your favorite meat which is then handed to you to pile your favorite veggies - and you can tell that the veggies are all freshly chopped. Then you add your favorite sauces, seasonings, noodles and hot chili to get your favorite heat level. All this is now stir fried as you watch your meal come out hot and full of flavor. This spot is definitely the definition of the Hole in the Wall :) What a find by my parents spotting this place around the Inland Empire. This place is underrated from what it is! The ambiance do need improvement if you're looking at the building's perspective, but the OG vibes for serving authentic Mongolian food fits what they represents. My parents and siblings always go here and we love this place because it is homey and affordable. They have nice people serving our food as well, which is always a plus :) I always order their AYCE meat for $25, which is worth it if you have a big appetite. However, they have an option to not be an AYCE, as well because it is already hearty and quite fulfilling. Their meat choices are chicken, beef, pork, and lamb. I wish their bowls were just a little bigger. The chefs are friendly and cook your food pretty nicely. The reason for the 3 stars is because their service is very average to below average. I really believe in supporting all small businesses . But, when you enter the place everything looks really dirty,old and you can smelly the dirty oil that has been sitting for probably months. When your food is cooked it even looks black from the dirty thing they are cooking it on. Layers of grease build up where they cook your food. It's also over priced, bowls are small. My family and I have been coming here for 20+ years and I don't think they have invested anything in the seating, decor, menus, or any of the restaurant's functions. But despite that, the food and service is great. Come hungry! It's not cheap, but you will leave full and satisfied. There's plenty of parking in the back of the restaurant and bring cash to tip the cooks. They do an excellent job cooking large quantities of plates over the hot stovetop. I ended up getting the blandest sauce so I had to add a whole packet of soy sauce to my noodles..... And then the soy sauce was also bland! I think if you go here you have to get a lot more sauce or ask them if they can add more sauce (I don't know if this is allowed, but it should be) because they don't add any for you! read more

You can see all the black burnt flakes from meals cooked before mine all on my noodles and veggies. There were only two familes there so they could've cleaned the grill. Disappointed. A complete let down. Was looking forward to some Mongolian food after the place I usually go to closed. And found this place. First red flag was the fact that it took 5 minutes for the waiter to give us our table. That and the place looks rundown. 2nd was the fact that the lady asked what meat we wanted, implying that she decides how much meat we get. Not only that, but after we finished with the sides thag they gave us, we asked when do we get our bowls of meat, and only then where we able to get our bowls and put what we wanted, as she pour our choices of meat to the trays. I feel like hadn't we asked, we would just be sitting tables doing nothing. Not to mention that bowls were pretty small and limited so we couldn't get everything we wanted. And at best the food was okay. Wasn't terrible but doesn't compared to our all time favorite place. Don't waste your money here. Better off eating somewhere else. read more
