This is a casual place to get hot great tasting food. You choose what you want then to grill and the best thing is they have a buffet bar that you can select what you want to eat and add it to what you have grilled. You pay per pound so the price depends on what you choose. All the food is great tasting just go easy on the garlic sauce. The cooks are super nice and you watch them cook the food. Few things to start : New management. I've been craving this place for so long & i was let down a little. The taste of the old Mongolian bbq was one of a kind. The food still tastes good don't get me wrong! I was just very excited for this specific taste. I had chicken & beef but the meat is different. I added carrots, green onion, onion, extra pineapple with noodles (rice & noodles are 1.50 extra) Made my flavor mild :) Egg rolls are different. They used to be handmade & taste special but now they taste like every other store bought egg roll. You can still customize your sauce. Just write on the paper what you would liked added & if you'd like extra! Vegetable soup still tastes great ! I didn't try the dumplings or the wontons. My plate in general was dry so I recommend getting extra sauce. If there's a side that you don't like, you can switch it out for another side of your choosing! If you get noodles I don't think you get the side steamed rice that it comes with because I didn't get any :( If you're going to order here, plan on running some errands while waiting for your food. I waited 40 mins for my order because there were a couple orders ahead of me. I waited because they said it would take 20 mins. For Covid: this place is doing okay! They have a plastic barrier separating customers from the cashier ! I don't know if they're sanitizing the pens after use but I did receive a new one ! After you place your order, you can either wait outside or in your car ! Give this place a try ! Don't allow my review to make up your mind. It is a bit pricey but at least give it a shot to see if you'd like to come back or not. I'm still deciding if I will ! The new cashier was very nice & explained the new process very well. We have been coming here for as long as we have been married. 35+ years. Of course, it changed price because everywhere else has too. It is worth it! Same great service, same great bbq sauce, make sure you put some of your meat mixture in your pocket biscuit and a healthy squirt of the bbq. Oh YUMMY! Been trying to get back here for awhile. So glad we came. Now you do not serve yourself with the meat. They ask you what you want and they bring it to you frozen in the bowl and you get up and get all the rest. Both meals you choose all your extras buffet style. The vegetable soup is super basic. Rice is on the drier side. Super crunchy wontons and egg rolls(all meat no veggies). Indeed, they are open for takeout and wanted to provide some additional information. No make your own for obvious reasons. When you arrive, you will be asked to look at the takeout menu and then tell them the bowl type meat, veggies, and sauce that you want. You then wait at the entrance and they bring the food to you. I used to go here often. Things are different. - Cost has gone up, but I would expect that right now. - None of the usual staff is there. I think there has been at least a management change and possibly an ownership change. When I asked if it was under new ownership there was a pause and then said, they will be here later. When I asked about the servers by name she was unsure of who I was talking about. - All of the food looks and tastes differently. Noodles are more mushy, Eggroll is different (mainly a veggie eggroll with different wrapper), pocket bread thinner and even the wonton is different. I am not saying it tasted bad I am just saying it's all different. - The new staff was very nice and the food good. Another review nothing has changed still great another 4.5 ? Still can't give it five because it's still a dump,hole in the wall,sticky place. Just close one day just one day figure out your slowest day of the week and close. Then clean this place up a little fresh paint to brighten it up a little in their. It doesn't really matter to me that much (maybe a little bit) but it would do it a world of good. At The lunch menu they give a bowl of meat of your choosing, at dinner you add your own meats (Dinner more expensive) For those of you that don't know the key to a great dinner is to stuff a tremendous amout of meats in the bowl and smush it down with all your might do this all the way to the top or beyond of your bowl ,also this is the time to add the liquid marinate it's ok to use more then the chart says this keeps the meat flavored and not dried out, do this before the veggies are added. Now it gets tricky and a bit messy but it's ok, try and put your veggies in flat layers and smush down as you add, smush add smush add, as flat as possible then add as much of those bean sprouts as humanly possible , they cook way down so does the meat so don't worry. With a steady hand add more oil , lobster and Mongolian sauce and garlic on top of this mountain of sprouts. Hold the sides so it does not collapse:) You will probably leave a tremendous mess behind you pick up the spillage and add it to your bowl or put it in the small waste can on the floor Now carefully transfer to the counter to be cooked then ask the cook to add some water chestnuts to your mixture if you like them I love them adds a nice crunch they keep them in the kitchen in the back. I try and wait till there's not a big crowd at the buffet line because it's a process a true art form but takes some time believe me that's the only way to do it and get your moneys worth it will be the best tasting stir fry you ever had, add as much meat as you can that is the key!!!. I know this is a tremendously long review but the other thing is to get a large bowl of soup which in itself is not very good but if you add some of your cooked stir fry in the soup it's so much better. I now upgrade to the bigger soup bowl 1 dollar extra. Leave a buck or two for the cooks they do a good job and it's really hot in there so take care of them. Enjoy. read more

I'll keep this to the point. Never been to a Mongolian BBQ type place. Don't be scared! Summarizing, you pick a meat. They give you a bowl with meat and you build it. I'm not listing the ingredients but it's a nice selection. Fill your bowl. Hand it to the chef. The guy cooks it on a round hot table while you wait standing there. 4-5 mins. Shovels it onto a plate and you go back to your table and eat. Here's the deal... if you're used to valet parking, this isn't your spot. It doesn't have a fancy inside. Its not a palace on the outside. It's not impressive walking in. It's not fancy. It's not a first date place. There's nothing sexy about it. In fact, you look at the food pictures and it looks terrible. HOWEVER, take a bite of your bowl and it will make up for everything. This is the absolute "diamond in the rough". Absolutely amazing food. Don't judge the way it looks. I made that mistake. It's so full of flavor and just as good as leftovers. I had a beef bowl and made my medium temp hot sauce. It was awesome. To be honest, I hope they keep it just the way it is. It's a delicious little spot. You'll forget about the ambiance when you take your first bite. Service is great, btw. The C Team tries harder! Look I think the pictures are worth a thousand words, this is not A or even B level, this is third tier. The food isnt that bad, it's just minimal (see the small vegetable bar), you DO get a fair bit of meat brought out to you. Then you go to the bar and realize you have no choice but to push down on the meat to TRY to make a little room for other stuff. If you understand Magnolian BBQ you get this part. They do look like they are TRYING to keep their (pass) food rating, but this place is in a bad need of FULL remodel - furniture, food bar, everything looks like its 20+ years old. I have been going to Mongolian BBQ for YEARS. It is the original delicious Mongolian location. The food is fantastic and I enjoy the wait staff. The egg rolls are crispy and delectable. While it is filled with veggies like cabbage and carrot, you can get that feeling of eating your veggies with all the enjoyment of a crispy fried food! The red sweet secret sauce is our families coveted condiment. We refuse to share, so we are happily obliged to be given more than one at our table. I don't mean to brag, but I have become the family expert at the piled high bowl. I can stack it high with the better than the best of them. When I can't fit a single broccoli more, they happily allow me to have a side of that single ingredient I was trying to add to my concoction. Once you return to your table you are reAdy to dive in! However DO NOT make the most of passing on the pocket biscuits. Take your toasty treasure, rip off the top and pack in your piled high plate. For an extra treat, ad the sweet red sauce atop! Now enjoy! Now, if you're lucky enough to find yourself with leftovers, scramble them in with eggs the next day! 2 meals for the price of 1! Side note: Don't bring your jacket or fine clothes in. Tasty meat and veggie choices, customize your own sauce and experiement at will. Their little sesame rolls are a highlight. After not visiting for awhile we were disappointed with the changes that have been made; obviously new management or something. Absolutely delicious Haven been here in over 15 years and it is just as yummy as I remembered it. Not sure why people are complaining about the look. Yes the decor takes you back in time but it is clean and nothing is torn. Yes the prices have gone up a lil but if you know how to fill your bowl you'll have enough for another meal or two with just one bowl. Personally 25 bucks isn't that much for two meals. I've had better mongolian bbq. First off all the ambiance of the place is not the most jaw dropping, or spectacular but it was mom and pop homey. Maybe a little renovation would help. Front door is like a dungeon door which can be a bit confusing because it looked like they were closed. Prices were beyond affordable for the average joe. But should be expected since it was dinner time. They have all you can eat options and one time trip option combos, which comes with soup, sesame bread, wonton and egg rolls. My one time trip resulted in a plate of noodles filled with charred grill residue. I addressed to the staff member who came by to check up on us if I could prepared a new plate because my noodles tasted burnt. At first she was a little hesitant but agreed it was ok and told me to tell the cook to clean the grill because sometimes they forget when they are busy. Ok not sure if I was comfortable doing that. But she ended up telling the cook to clean it. I thought why do they need to be told, shouldn't it be something they automatically do it being a mongolian barbecue restaurant after cooking a lot of dishes. Fast forwarding, I had to make a third trip to the noodle bar because of a little miscommunication the staff had with the cooks about cleaning the grill. So there I was on my third trip to get noodles. At this point, I had already lost my appetite. I already felt uncomfortable that I had to ask to make a new plate (I wasn't about to waste $14 on something that wasn't appetizing), and then to stand and watch the guys cook my plate for the third time because I was the customer who said her noodles were burnt. The staff member was very accommodating when it came to fixing my dining experience to a pleasant one and I give her that. But food experience was one I would not like to experience again. Everything down to the egg rolls was not pleasing to the palette. Even after all the trips to the grill my last plate of noodles only reached okay status. The disturbing part was how everyone else before me didn't say anything about the burnt chips in their noodles, cause I'm sure they had plenty. My boyfriend's plate was similar to mine but he sucked it up and ate it because he got the all you can eat option. I wasn't about to sucked it up and eat it because I work hard for the money I was about to spend for the meal. Most of the customers seemed like usuals so I guess they must like that or are use to that but I wasn't. For two people we spent $40 which is more than what I'm use to spending for me not even getting the all you can eat option. read more

The place was horrible there's very little lighting and it's dim when I first walked in no one attended me and I had to find someone to seat me. Then I went to go pick my veggies and all the spoons and the utensils to grab the veggies and sauces were sticky and gross. The floor was full of all the veggies that have fallen and where ever you would stand the floors were sticky. I gave it a chance because I thought the food would be ok good but it was inedible. The pasta was gross the veggies were not pleasing. The whole place just felt greasy. I got up and left because this place was so bad. read more

I have gone to this place since I was a kid. It's been around a while and I still love it. They are always so friendly and the food is amazing! I have introduced my friends to this place many times and we all keep coming back. I love the spicy mustard and bread pockets you get with the bbq. I also love that you don't need to put noodles in the bbq if you don't want to I prefer not to have them. I like the hole in the wall feel to it. It's just great!
