Average service place has great tasting food, slow to come out, had to wait a good bit for 2 egg rolls

I recently tried the Kalbi plate at Milo's Hawaiian BBQ inside Haven City Market, and it was excellent. The kalbi was grilled perfectly with a nice smoky char, while the meat stayed tender, juicy, and packed with sweet and savory flavor. It paired really well with the rice, steamed cabbage, and extra sauce, making it a satisfying meal. The portion size was generous, and everything tasted fresh. The service was also great--the staff was friendly, welcoming, and my order came out in a reasonable amount of time. If you're visiting Haven City Market and craving Hawaiian BBQ, I'd definitely recommend giving Milo's Hawaiian BBQ a try. I'll be coming back for the kalbi again! read more

Great experience and delicious beignets! I was really pleased with the service, impeccable customer service! We only came for dessert and we were not at all disappointed. They delivered and the sauces were on point, just the right amount of sweetness. The guy who took our order was so polite, he offered great service and took his time explaining all they offered. Located inside Haven City Market, this food hall has a little bit of everything. Things were starting to close ~8:15 (the hall formally closes at 9 pm, but kitchens close earlier), so I decided on Hawaiian barbecue and ordered loco Moco for $14.95. Food took 10-15 minutes and there was one party that ordered ahead of us. Portions were generous with 2 hamburger patties, rice, gravy, mac salad and cabbage. After a long flight, I took my cousin to Haven City Market - just a few miles north of Ontario Airport (ONT). What did she want? Anything with rice. We walked around the food hall and came across Milo's Hawaiian BBQ and placed two (2) orders of the #2 Kalbi Short Ribs. It came with fluffy white rice and a side of macaroni salad, a side of steamed cabbage, and extra sauce. One order was plenty for the both of us so we took the other order to go. The first bite of the savory short rib instantly met my expectations. The short rib flavors were a combination of salty and sweet. It went very well with the fluffy white rice and especially with the crunchy steamed cabbage. The macaroni salad was just ok for me. Overall, we really enjoyed the short ribs. It was so good, I probably wouldn't order anything else, as I would just order the same thing the next time I come back. So ono! read more

This restaurant is located inside the Haven Marketplace in Rancho Cucamonga food hall. I love Hawaiian dishes. I tried the Chicken Katsu with rice. I usually like it with curry sauce. It came with Macaroni salad and cabbages. I enjoyed my meal but the macaroni salad was a little bit off. It was good, but it didn't taste like the original Hawaiian flavor. Friendly staff. Seating: This place is located inside of Haven City Market food hall so you gotta be quick and just find yourself a seat wherever you can. Loco Moco: The plate combo consisted of two hamburger patties with brown gravy mushroom sauce and two sunny side up eggs. For the sides it comes with two scoops of rice, macaroni salad and cabbage. To be honest this plate was a lot of food. The loco moco sauce was rich in flavor, but it was a little over-salted. I had to keep chugging down water. The hamburger patties were moist and easy to bite into. The macaroni salad had great flavor, but there was too much pepper for my taste. As for the cabbage it had a strong garlic taste which some people would be turned off by but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Overall I would give this pate at 3.7 out of 5. read more

I've eaten at Milo's Hawaiian BBQ twice now, and both times were absolutely amazing. I'll be honest--I was hesitant at first because of the low Yelp rating (3.0 stars at the time I checked), but I'm SO glad I decided to give it a chance. This place blew me away. Both visits were right when they opened, and maybe that's part of the secret--the food was fresh, hot, and clearly just made. First plates of the day? Possibly. But whatever the reason, the quality was on point. My husband ordered the BBQ Chicken Plate both times and loved it. I went with the Loco Moco Plate, and it was everything I hoped for--rich gravy, perfectly cooked beef patty, runny egg, and rice that soaked it all up. The meats were cooked to perfection, juicy and full of flavor. I also really appreciated the macaroni salad--creamy and well-seasoned--and I love that their greens are cooked, not just tossed on the side raw. It really rounded out the plate. Service was friendly, and food came out quickly both times. I'm honestly shocked this place doesn't have a higher rating. If you've been on the fence because of the reviews, take the leap--I'm so glad I did. Milo's is definitely going in our regular lunch rotation! read more

The short rib had great flavoring but it was a bit tough, so there was a struggle to eat it. Rice was okay and you can't go wrong with that. Mac salad was good but nothing special about it. We always walk by this place when we're in Haven city and stop to Peruse the menu. I always tell myself that I'm gonna try something there however I'm never that hungry to order a whole plate. This time, however I had some little ones with me and thought perhaps we can order the Mac salad and try that out. The serving itself was generous, two scoops for five dollars filled up the entire Box. It had quite a bit of black pepper in it, luckily it wasn't that peppery, could have used a little bit more salt.
