We had a pretty concerning experience at U-Grill Korean BBQ tonight. While we were eating, my boyfriend kept saying his foot was slipping, but we didn't think much of it. When we were getting ready to leave, we noticed grease coming from underneath the BBQ grill and all over the floor. It had gotten all over my son's shoes and my boyfriend's shoes. We told the manager, and he said he didn't see anything. The restaurant is really dark, and honestly, he didn't really inspect it. I had to pull out my phone and use the flashlight just so we could actually see the grease underneath the grill. He told us they recently changed management and that he had nothing to do with the previous management. When we asked what they could do, the only options were $40 off the bill or we could send them the bill for getting the shoes professionally cleaned. At that point, we just took the $40 off and left. We didn't want to have to keep going back and forth with them, especially when the manager wasn't even willing to properly look underneath the grill. I'm not looking for anything from the restaurant at this point. I just felt this was something that needed to be reported, so I submitted a complaint to Environmental Health. Hopefully they can inspect the equipment and make sure this isn't happening to other customers. read more

U-Grill is my favorite kbbq spot but Mitzy just made it 100x better. Mitzy had great service. She was nice, attentive, quick, and accommodating. One of the best servers I've ever dealt with. Checked out U Grill for the first time and had a great experience. Went for lunch and was shocked and delighted at how busy it was. We come here often, and I just realized I'd never left a review! We always order the beef brisket, and it never disappoints. We also love all the banchan. My favorite sides are the steamed egg, tofu soup, and rice paper. The service is consistently friendly and attentive, and I leave satisfied after every visit. The only downside? Interior is dimly lit and feels like a sports bar with the number of televisions in the bar area. Floors were greasy as per KBBQ usual. The most decent KBBQ you'll get especially in the Ontario/Rancho Cucamonga area. You get to grab dessert after; Kung Fu Tea is right next door! There is genius parking in the front of the restaurant and within the plaza. When walking in, we had made it on time for the line pricing! It was $24.99. Dinner is about $30. They do have weekday happy hour from 3 - 6 PM! We were seated when our whole party was there. The server, Arianna, quickly came by and asked if we were ready to order. We ordered waters, soju cocktails, side dishes, and our first rounds of meat. The meat was frozen and piled onto the plates. We had ordered their brisket, spicy pork belly, beef belly, and bulgogi. We had a watermelon cocktail soju with cheesy corn, Korean party soup, and steamed egg. We had the server bring out salad and some rice paper for us, too. Overall, we got full very fast. Arianna was very kind and sweet to us, so shoutout to her! She had changed our grill three times and kept our waters full. The restaurant itself was okay! Floors were a tad bit sticky and the side dishes weren't filled all the way, which is understand since they don't want it to go to waste. But, I think it made the experience there average. I was really craving some KBBQ yesterday after doing some studying at Victoria Gardens so I looked for one close by and found this place! Super spacious, vibes were good, and the music was pretty lit not gonna lie. Unfortunately, I had to wait about an hour for a seat on a Saturday so if you can make a reservation beforehand I would recommend doing that. We got seated at the bar which was spacious enough for two people to cook, eat, and drink. Our bartender was super sweet and attentive to us the whole time. I was surprised by how quickly everything came out too! I wouldn't say this place stands out compared to other kbbq in the area but the food was yummy and tasted fresh. Found the formula for eating at U-Grill without a wait Come at 3pm on a Tuesday! Every time I come here , which is usually on a weekend, anytime , it's about an hour or more wait. I am definitely coming back on my day off work! I forgot how inexpensive it is for the quality and variety of different meats, veggies and it is all you can eat ! Love all the varieties of banchan . You Grill at UGrill!! UGrill is a chain of Korean-style BBQ. They have two locations in Rancho Cucamonga, literally a few blocks from each other. I chose this location as I was at Ontario Mills shopping, and it happened to be closer to where I was. Upon entering, the host took my name, and I waited a whole 5 minutes before being seated. My server, Daniel, came by my table and not only made some recommendations, but offered me an Ice-Cold Cass ( a Korean Beer). I have eaten at many Korean BBQs over the years, and every one of them has been unique. The UGrill chain offers affordable options, even for its premium menu. They also provide a wide selection of Kimchi to enhance your meal. Some highlights of my selections were baby octopus, which I will cop up in the future for more even cooking, Pork chops, Rib Eye, and a few other meats. I also ordered a steamed egg and a very delicious Kimchi Stew!!! Overall, a great experience with no issues, as the food came out fast when I ordered more selections. My server was great, very attentive and the staff, in general. replaced my grill every ten to fifteen minutes without me having to ask. Grumpy old man trigger. I let my wife do it. Just hand me a menu like we've been doing it for 1000 years! Sorry for the rant. My wife ordered then raw meet just started flowing to our table. Being the grill meister at home I thought I would take control of the grill. Steak and Bulgogi. Finally some Shrimp and intestines. Yes intestines! Some tongue, ribeye some veggies to pacify the guilt. Lots of small dishes with Kimchi, pickles, radish and rice paper for rolling. Reminded me of the 60's. Don't underestimate these small dishes most of these small sides are fantastic. Between my wife and I and our 2 tag along grand kids we ate a couple of hundred dollars worth of food. Also had a bottle of Soju which might explain my happy demeanor. Everything was awesome including the Mochi ice cream the grandkids had for desert. U-Grill has been a family favorite over the last few years. We used to frequent Gen Korean BBQ, but U-Grill is much better when it comes to service and overall flavor. The service has always been great here. Your food is dropped at the table pretty quickly and our servers have been great. The inside of the restaurant has a clean and modern feel and the seating is very comfortable if you are able to grab a booth. We dropped in for lunch on a Saturday and menu option A was $29.99 per person. There are more options with menu B, but it costs more and really we're okay with menu A. Our favorites to order are the beef brisket and beef belly. I know there's a lunch menu, but this is only available Monday thru Friday. I did have to go to the counter to ask for an update only to find out our table had been ready, but no one had called my name or texted me that the table was ready. Makes me curious how much longer I would have waited had I not asked. To the food, we ordered the non-marinated items due to an allergy in the group. I appreciated the portion sizes! Decent KBBQ place, with the lunch pricing (Mon-Friday, until 4pm) at $23.99. They have pretty much everything you'd expect from a KBBQ place, with a few additions that I haven't seen much elsewhere: curry chicken, for instance, and really big prawns. I can't speak to the quality of the pork (as I didn't order any), but everything I tried was fresh. That said, the beef belly cut was a little unfortunate. I got a couple orders, thinking maybe I just got the first time, but all the plates were extremely fatty. Don't get me wrong, I expect fat when it comes to beef belly, but this was ~90% fat. Ventilation was pretty poor inside. There was a lot of smoke inside constantly. Also, the safety standards seem lax. When the waitress was changing the grill, there was a lot of oil just slung onto the floor. Sometimes there's a place at the table to slot old grills into, but not here. Wanted to eat at a late night spot and luckily, this was open around the area. First, this is a pretty good location as it's near the freeway and right on Foothill Blvd. It's a really big restaurant with a lot of seating and a bar area. While walking around, it was really sticky. The same can be said of the tables and chairs. The ban chan was okay. I liked the fish cake. But I didn't like their kimchi or bean sprouts. I liked the flavor of the cucumber kimchi more than the regular kimchi. Japchae was also just okay. The fish cake was pretty good. The quality of the beef was okay. We had the beef belly, beef brisket, and pork belly. All were fine. Nothing to complain about but nothing to rave about either. What stood out to us was our server. He was super friendly and nice. Walking in, we were surprised we had to wait to be seated. It was a little after lunch time and not that many people inside but I guess they were short-staffed. Regardless, we got seated after about 10 minutes. Unfortunately, our table was on the side without a TV, and there wasn't any music playing either. Felt like something was needed. The floors were sticky, which is common for KBBQ spots, but there was residue left on the chairs and table. The grills smoked easily and led to the grill burning quickly. Having to flag down the waiter to switch the grill each time wasn't ideal. To be fair, he did have to attend to multiple tables. I will say most of the meat wasn't bad and I liked the lunch price discount that was offered from 11am to 4pm M-Fri. I enjoyed the marinated bulgogi and it made me happy to get radish paper and rice paper. I'd say this trip was enough to hold me over until I head into LA. Btw there is a tesla charging station next to it. Youll want to avoid parking near it as the lines get pretty long and you're trapped. read more
