Came in on a recommendation from somebody saying it's consistently good, cheap eats here. I will say the aforementioned claim was true the price by the pound is very much affordable. The reason I had to give them a one star though? A plastic shard was wedged in the food that smack dab of course ended up hurting my tooth when I bit down. What's worse, I went to let the staff know and I was met with incredulousness first then asked where I possibly could have found it, and finally a very unenthusiastic "sorry about that". I asked for a refund for the one box, they said they could only give me half when it was the bigger order item and they said they were going to dispose of the food even though prior they were nudging for me to continue eating as this never happens according to them. This is PAY BY THE WEIGHT Mongolian bbq + Chinese buffet! The service was great, the staff were helpful and very clean. The woman at the front was very nice and even cleaned our to-go containers as we were paying. The Chinese buffet and Mongolian bbq are both self serve, so are the drinks, they offer gloves too! The Mongolian bbq was great (it pretty much just depends on what you add to it/whatever you enjoy eating). Wednesday Time: 11:30a (roughly) Food: 4 stars, it's not exactly like La Verne different owners and assuming cooks but, a little added soy sauce and some teriyaki sauce later and the food was really good. Unfortunately, we had to order soup elsewhere but, it' will be on the menu at some point in the future. For Upland, so far the price cannot be beat less than $7 per lb. The last place we tried near hellman and will not go back, charged $11.99/Lb. Service Very nice and friendly staff. I mentioned that looking for them on google didn't show up for us, but luckily yelp did. For those trying to find this location. It's next to a smoke shop & nearby Marshalls, CVS. Parking can be found in front or on the side. Busy lot. Ambiance Had a mod feel and the chairs are comfortable. Lots of seating options. I think what had me at 5 stars is no dust anywhere around the food or the vent directly above the cooking slab. Overall to have an alternative close to home on our days off from work is a blessing. I finally got to try the new China Mongolian bbq and so glad I did. My husband and I came last week for dinner. When walking in we were told everything is by weight and which containers to use. We got some Chinese food options but I am bummed most of it wasn't fresh or had been low quantity and sitting there. We just got a little of a few things to try. The Mongolian section was my favorite. Everything was there and you get a bowl and fill up as much as you'd like and they charge you by weight. I think it was around $30 for one plate or Mongolian and one of Chinese. We filled it up pretty good and shared. Flavor was great and they cook the Mongolian fresh in front of you. Inside had plenty of seating and a little sauce station for teriyaki and siracha. It was clean and chill. I'd come again and get to go. Definitely worth the try! read more

Tried this new spot out for dinner! As you enter there's a buffet of Chinese food and your typical Mongolian food set up. Priced at around $6 and some change per lb. You can mix it up and get both if you want. We got the Mongolian food and took it to the grill for it to be cooked. The sauce options were slim and the cook adds his own mystery sauces to it, I say mystery bc we have no clue what they were since he just added without explaining. There's a lot of cross contamination going at the stations of toppings due to minimal tongs available so that's maybe something to keep an eye on if you have allergies. My husband and I stopped in for the very first time today. The place is very clean and the staff is friendly. As for the food - WOW!! Hot, fresh and delicious!! I'm more adventurous than my husband. His looked more like meat fried rice when he was done. Mine had some meat but mostly veggies and tofu. I loved everything about my lunch and my husband said he would definitely go back again. That's a huge plus! I was a little worried about paying by the pound because I can get carried away with all the options but my food was 1.45 lbs. and was only about $9.50. That's very reasonable for a lunch nowadays! They have two options: Mongolian BBQ or prepared buffet-style Chinese food. I heard that you can choose one or the other or both. Maybe next time. Arrived at 8:40 to get some Mongolian BBQ and when we walked in we were told we couldn't order anymore because they were closing and had to clean the grill. As they're turning us away they're currently putting more food on the grill. I don't understand why adding an extra 2 plates would have been an issue with 20 mins until closing. They have a sign up that says Mongolian bbq ends at 9. We were told that we couldn't order because the guy who cooks the food on the grill would get upset even though they are still open for another 20 mins. We drove 30 mins to get here and were turned away so that the cook didn't get angry. read more

Everything was so good. I've never had Mongolian BBQ and I was going by myself so I was kinda nervous but they walked me through everything. One thing to remember is that if you're going by yourself make sure to bring cash just incase your order is under 15$ because they only take cash for orders under 15$. Everything went well at this restaurant. They base what you pay by how much it weighs and they give you large bowl so you can fill that bowl up like completely. The food is excellent especially I mainly am getting the Mongolian. They also serve Chinese food there but like I said everything is based off of how much it weighs on what you're charged so it can be as little as you want or as much as you want. When they first opened we were going there at least twice a week and loved the place. But now they seem to be cutting corners, The sizes of the meats are smaller as are the vegetables. I always get the same size bowl, with the same amount of food in it, but in the last month, it miraculously costs more. Today was the last straw. One of the best parts of this place was that if you wanted just a small amount for a child that was fine since you weighed everything. But today, we were told you can't do that...minimum bowl must be a pound. Guess we are done. read more

Inside, there is planet of seating consisting of booths and tables. The food selection is also pretty good. First, you have the Mongolian BBQ selection where there are several different proteins such as beef, chicken, shrimp, and tofu. Then, a variety of veggies and sauces cooked to order right in front of you. In addition to the Mongolian BBQ, there are several chinese dishes you can choose from. Examples include coconut shrimp (my fav), teriyaki chicken, BBQ pork, green beans, mushroom chicken, plantains, fried rice, etc. Everything you grab is $6.59/lb. You can load your bowls with veggies-there's all different kinds: onion, green onion, broccoli, bok-choy, mushrooms, water chestnuts, shredded carrots... there's more that I'm forgetting, then the meat: lamb, chicken, beef, pork, and smoked sausage. You add your spice level at the end and they cook it right there in front of you. As it cooks the chef adds more flavor if you like. They also have Chinese food in another section to choose from egg rolls, fried rice, honey walnut shrimp, and other items.
