Love the Chinese AND Mongolian option that this restaurant offers. I previously heard that there was a new Mongolian spot in town that was reasonably priced and I had forgotten about it and remembered to go there today because I didn't want to drive too far from home for food. In going, I was pleasantly surprised that they also have Chinese food. I love the Chinese food option because it is buffet and it too is charged at $6.99 a pound. I love that you can get multiple entrée options at the size and amount that you want. This is a game changer for quick Chinese food for me. The Mongolian had very good options and was a fun treat for a Friday afternoon. I liked the Chinese food a little bit better but that's probably because I chose all my faves. On the Mongolian side, the beef was a bit overcooked but an enjoyable meal regardless. They also have boba, smoothies and Thai iced tea which I did not try. Their business model allows you to quickly get your food with no wait! I like that. Yay! The ambiance is ok. Just a quick to go food type place with lots of seats but not necessarily anything memorable.

I went to New China after the gym and honestly the food seemed really fresh. You can tell everything is cooked right there and comes out hot. When I got my noodles, they were steaming and full of flavor. The meat was tender, the veggies still had a nice bite, and everything just tasted fresh and well put together. I liked how you can pick what you want and watch it get cooked, it makes the whole experience better. Nothing felt old or sitting out too long, everything tasted like it was just made. The portions were good too, they give you a solid amount of food, and the prices were actually reasonable for how much you get. Overall, it was really good. Fresh food, good flavor, and worth the price. I'd definitely go back again. food, good flavor, and worth the price. I'd definitely go back again.

Just tried New China Mongolian BBQ in Upland and WOW... this place understood the assignment ‍ Have you ever gone to a Chinese food spot and left mad because they barely gave you any food? Not here!! This place is self-serve and they charge by weight so you can STACK your plate exactly how you want Build-your-own Mongolian bowl: as many veggies as you want as many noodles as you want pick your protein Everything looked super fresh and once you're done loading up your bowl, you take it to the cook and they make it fresh right in front of you ‍ The smell alone had me ready for round two I started with Mongolian + white rice on the side Then went back for Chinese food (and I wasn't the only one ) Honestly, a lot of people were gravitating toward the Chinese food, which surprised me -- but I get it. Why pick one when you can have both? Finished with dessert drinks: Chai tea Taro milk tea with boba The boba was sweet + super soft and the tea was perfectly sweetened -- not too sweet at all If you're in Upland and you're HUNGRY hungry ‍ This spot is definitely worth a visit

Wednesday Time: 11:30a (roughly) Food: 4 stars, it's not exactly like La Verne different owners and assuming cooks but, a little added soy sauce and some teriyaki sauce later and the food was really good. Unfortunately, we had to order soup elsewhere but, it' will be on the menu at some point in the future. For Upland, so far the price cannot be beat less than $7 per lb. The last place we tried near hellman and will not go back, charged $11.99/Lb. Service Very nice and friendly staff. I mentioned that looking for them on google didn't show up for us, but luckily yelp did. For those trying to find this location. It's next to a smoke shop & nearby Marshalls, CVS. Parking can be found in front or on the side. Busy lot. Ambiance Had a mod feel and the chairs are comfortable. Lots of seating options. I think what had me at 5 stars is no dust anywhere around the food or the vent directly above the cooking slab. Overall to have an alternative close to home on our days off from work is a blessing. Welcome to the neighborhood!

I finally got to try the new China Mongolian bbq and so glad I did. My husband and I came last week for dinner. When walking in we were told everything is by weight and which containers to use. We got some Chinese food options but I am bummed most of it wasn't fresh or had been low quantity and sitting there. We just got a little of a few things to try. The Mongolian section was my favorite. Everything was there and you get a bowl and fill up as much as you'd like and they charge you by weight. I think it was around $30 for one plate or Mongolian and one of Chinese. We filled it up pretty good and shared. Flavor was great and they cook the Mongolian fresh in front of you. Inside had plenty of seating and a little sauce station for teriyaki and siracha. It was clean and chill. I'd come again and get to go. Definitely worth the try!

Tried this new spot out for dinner! As you enter there's a buffet of Chinese food and your typical Mongolian food set up. Priced at around $6 and some change per lb. You can mix it up and get both if you want. We got the Mongolian food and took it to the grill for it to be cooked. The sauce options were slim and the cook adds his own mystery sauces to it, I say mystery bc we have no clue what they were since he just added without explaining. There's a lot of cross contamination going at the stations of toppings due to minimal tongs available so that's maybe something to keep an eye on if you have allergies. Service was okay overall and ambiance was decent.

Food was fresh. Love how you can get what you like, as much as you like, meats, veggies, noodles, garlic sauce, & chili oil. He cooks it up for you. Service was ok, kinda friendly. Everything goes by weight. Not bad for 2 dishes for around $23.

Delicious! And clean. As soon as we walked in we were greeted. They asked if it was our 1st time. Since it was, they guided us and instructed us on how to build your own bowl. Thank you. Careful with their chili!!! That day it was SPICY!! I only added 1 tablespoon of the chili. It was too spicy to eat my food. My family said the same thing. We couldn't eat our food. We should've put it on the side. Our faults tho. Besides that, we will definitely come back. Many options to choose from. You can even do your own fried rice.

My husband and I stopped in for the very first time today. The place is very clean and the staff is friendly. As for the food - WOW!! Hot, fresh and delicious!! I'm more adventurous than my husband. His looked more like meat fried rice when he was done. Mine had some meat but mostly veggies and tofu. I loved everything about my lunch and my husband said he would definitely go back again. That's a huge plus! I was a little worried about paying by the pound because I can get carried away with all the options but my food was 1.45 lbs. and was only about $9.50. That's very reasonable for a lunch nowadays! They have two options: Mongolian BBQ or prepared buffet-style Chinese food. I heard that you can choose one or the other or both. Maybe next time. Give it a try. You won't be sorry! See ya next time!

Great food at a great price. Highly recommend if you're traveling to IE. Great selection of food and taste

Really love this spot! So glad there's a Mongolian bbq in upland we usually have to go to further places to get some. Prices are good and everyone is so friendly. Ordering here is a bit confusing and the person at the front explained well. Everything here is done by weight. You can set up your Mongolian bowl or Chinese food. I look forward to coming here again!

Everything was so good. I've never had Mongolian BBQ and I was going by myself so I was kinda nervous but they walked me through everything. One thing to remember is that if you're going by yourself make sure to bring cash just incase your order is under 15$ because they only take cash for orders under 15$. I will definitely be back with my boyfriend I think he'll love this place.

Everything seems fresh and nice. Really good buffet style of food. Friendly staff and really clean

I sat for 10 minutes looking at the order on the counter, wondering if it was ours...the order taker glanced at me sideways twice which made me go up to the counter and ask if that was our order, all the while waiting for chatty Cathy to STFU so I could ask, She was telling her about some date type encounter she'd had. I finally interrupted and asked if that was our order and was told yes. I stated our order had been sitting there for 10 minutes, why weren't we called sooner? Chatty Cathy said NO! It was just brought out! I said no, I was sitting, waiting and watching (and timing) she said it was just set on the counter. I said no it wasn't, I saw when it came out...another young lady who brought out the requested BBQ sauces averted her eyes and hung her head. Nice orange hair girl was friendly and apologetic, but did not disagree with Cathy. I kind of had the feeling that Cathy might have been some sort of supervisor and the other 2 girls were trying to stay neutral. Yes, I wish I would have asked for names and if this ever happens again I will, sometimes you just get so mad you stop thinking clearly. A most near second is the braised short rib, served with a delectable and cloud-soft heap of mashed potatoes. Of lesser note were the wagyu tacos, pigs in a blanket, and the maple pecan butter cake, which proved but ordinary in their savor. Why gave I it four? - Forsooth, the service remaineth most excellent, the choices ample, and the fare overall commendable. Know thou, many of the draughts afore-mentioned were priced for happy hour as a small note. Of those dishes deemed but middling, the wagyu tacos and pigs in a blanket lacked that wondrous spark upon the tongue. Lastly, the dry-aged ribeye, though served with seasoning apart, did taste somewhat over-salted to mine palate. Yet, these faults did not greatly diminish mine experience for I retain my favored dishes and shall return anon. Verdict? - Shouldst thou find thyself near Claremont, prithee give it a try, for it is a place most grand.
