Wow -- this place is a hidden gem in every sense. The contemporary art all over the walls creates such a fun, vibrant, and inviting atmosphere, and the food is incredible. The pho was packed with flavor, everything tasted fresh, and the whole experience was top-notch. Beautiful space, amazing food, and definitely a place I'd recommend!"

This is my first time here. I will definitely come back to this location. At first a being seated it took about 10 minutes before anyone came to take my order and I was about ready to walk out. I'm glad I stayed. I ordered Filet Mignon and the Shrimp Spring Rolls. The flavor of the broth was on point and not salty at all. I added the chili oil to the broth and the taste was on point. The Spring Roll with the peanut sauce was very tasteful as well. Inside the restaurant they have alot of memorabilia and a comic collection on the walls.

Food is always delicious. Fresh ingredients. Great prices. Service was friendly. I just wish my waiter was more familiar with the menu. Ambiance is my fav.

Pho Star Bowl is the only pho so far that comes a little close to the pho in the OC. We usually go all the way out to the OC for our pho cravings. As we haven't found any close to us in the IE that are good. Except for Pho Star Bowl. The broth is tasty and the meats are fresh. The inside has a very inviting and unique design/decor. The service is good. We have enjoyed their combination pho, beef banh mi, their beef shrimp rice noodle salad and Thai tea. Everything has been on point. My only complaints is that they give very little veggies for the pho and their prices are a little higher than other pho joints. I like when places give you a big plate of veggies as I like a bunch of beans sprouts and basil in mine. Overall it's a great alternative to having to drive all the way to Anaheim.

    Nice place to dine.

This is one of several pho restaurants in the area, and is definitely a hidden gem! Clean restaurant with quick, friendly service. Not only a good place to get your pho fix but their vermicelli dishes are delicious as well.

Came in n a Sunday afternoon and the outside is a very unassuming bit when you enter I was pleasantly surprised that it was a very welcoming and nice sit down restaurant. They did seat us promptly but it took another 5-10 minutes for them to come back to take our drink order and then another 5 mi it's to order our food. I'll admit it was a little busy and they not had 2 servers that I saw and I had to be the be to flag them down for anything we needed. The food though was pretty dang good and worth the longer waits. I had the garlic steak and butter rice and it was very good. We also ordered the pork and spring roll over noodles (was supposed to be rice) and was pretty good but the garlicky c steak and butter rice was much better. Would I come back again? Yes for sure. I'dlike to try their pho and some of their other menu items.

My daughter and I went there for a weekday lunch. The parking in the plaza is not the greatest but we were able to find a parking spot during the peak lunch hour. We ordered pho and Vietnamese iced coffee, I will give five stars to the food. The service was not that great from the waitress, however the manager/owner it's quite friendly. The waitress never offered a highchair for my toddler. I had to ask for one after our pho was on the table. The decoration inside the restaurant is pretty cool, and has its own theme. Even though the restaurant looks small from the outside, it's actually pretty spacious inside. Will come back to try more items on the menu next time for sure.

Wow this place was a very unassuming gem. The decorations are a pop icons dream. Love the movie and music artist paintings and decor. Not what you would expect from a Pho spot. Apparently the owner painted and decorated the entire place. We had the whole place to ourselves as we arrived an hour before closing. Service was obviously fast and friendly. Loved the back room leading to the restrooms with the record player. Menu was just right and to food was delicious. 4 people ate for $100. No military discount in case you're wondering. Will return again for sure.

Me & my boyfriend were in the mood for pho today since it was a rainy day... we originally went to our favorite pho spot in Moreno Valley, but we quickly left because the wait was too long & we were starving. We ended up going to a second pho spot we knew of, also in Moreno Valley, but that one was super busy as well so we decided to leave. We were already going to go to Riverside for a few errands, so I looked up Pho restaurant nearby us & Pho Star Bowl came up, I was like "let's go here & hopefully third times a charm." So we get there after our errands, super hungry, we signed in, only waited about 5 minutes. We got sat, waited a few minutes & then the waitress came to us & we ordered our food right away. The first thing I noticed was the sriracha at the table was brown looking, that threw me off a bit. So our bowls get there & our toppings on the side of course, the plate only came with two jalapeños each, as people who love spicy pho, we need more than just two. We asked the lady if she could bring us more jalapeños & she did but only about 5 more for the both of us... so whatever we made it work. We start eating & the Pho was solid. The broth was on the sweeter side to me but still tasted good. The portion was pretty big as well. Halfway through, my boyfriend needed a refill of water, so he gets up (because the waitress never came back) & he goes to ask for water... they only filled his cup up to not even halfway! Like what?! That threw us off. When we finished, my boyfriend had to go pay up there as well because the waitress never came. After we pay I go ask the lady where the bathroom was & she just looked at me & kinda pointed in the direction & then just completely ignored me. So I was just like okay whatever I guess I'll find the bathroom myself. The bathrooms did not have toilet paper so I had to grab hand paper towels from the dispenser. Overall, customer service was a 4/10 Food was a good 8/10 If you come here just be prepared for the workers negative attitude.

Such a good pho spot! The broth is really good and meat has always been good the times we have came! Spring rolls are also good. The inside is nice, clean, and cozy! It's decorated with nice paintings & artwork the owner did all himself! Service is always friendly as well! Definitely a spot to try!

Parking situation may differ if you go in the middle of the day as it is in a plaza with a grocery store and other shops/restaurants. The restaurant is also on the smaller side in terms of seating so keep that in mind too if you go at a busier day/time. I ordered the beef noodle soup non-spicy. It's a very filling meal with good chunks of beef and a lot of noodles. I have a low spice tolerance, hence why I had to order it non-spicy, but I'm sure the spicy version is even better. Although the name of the shop is Cup Noodles, the noodles they use are definitely not as they are of better quality than you would get in an instant noodle cup. What stood out to me the most was how the egg in the noodle soup was cooked! It was fried and most of the yolk was cooked through expect for the very center which had a little pocket in the yolks that was a tiny bit runny. My friend also ordered a pepper fungus (woodear mushroom) for the table which was yummy and a good palette cleanser/flavor break while eating the noodles.

Anyway... After perusing through the menu, which had quite a few blacked out items (black tape applied over the menu item) we both decided on the Tonkatsu Spicy Black Ramen Noodles as well a the Crispy Fried Rice appetizer... the appetizer was delivered but I had to request some small individual plates so that we could eat off of our own plate, rather than reaching over trying to share the same plate and making a mess on the table... no worries, small oversight (or so I thought at the time)... Next came the Ramen... Looked very appetizing, but again I had to get up and request a couple of soup spoons... went to dig in, and while the bottom of the bowl was warm, the broth itself was quite cold... after calling over the waitress and asking them to please reheat (even if they had to use the microwave)... the waitress took it back to the "open" kitchen and they used the microwave to reheat... The bowls were returned and as we started to eat, satisfied that the broth was indeed hot, we noticed a couple of items missing: the corn - no corn in the broth like it was described... in addition to that, no Wood Eared Mushrooms were in the broth either... the wood eared mushrooms set the "black" apart from the standard ramen and cost $.50 more per serving... when questioned about it, the hostess informed us that they didn't have any mushrooms... as a consolation, she offered us one of the "extra price" toppings in place if it... we opted for the tofu... a bowl of tofu pieces came out and although they appeared to have steam coming off of it, the tofu was cold as well... smh... The hostess returned them to to kitchen to be reheated... We received a 10% discount ($4.90 of of a $49 bill)... Not sure if they're going to make it with this level of service and food quality... Good Luck!

That excitement ended the moment I looked down at my bowl and found a **MAGGOT sitting on top of my rice.** I called the restaurant immediately and calmly explained what happened.
