This is a tiny restaurant and bar with options for many eaters, including vegan options. I rate it as 3.5. The shaken beef (Bo luc lac) was very soft and tender with tons of garlic and raw purple onions and sautéed mushrooms. I prefer the onions to be cooked a little bit to make it more palatable. There was no typical side of lime with salt and pepper. The edamame was good and drenched in a soy flavor. The salad was good, but came with too much dressing that was somewhat too sweet. The dishes here are overly salty, but did pack a punch of flavor. Portions on some of the dishes are overly generous. The ambiance has a touch of imitation vines on the bulbs and was dim at night.
Food: 3.75-4.00. Came by for a Tuesday lunch. When we entered, we were promptly greeted and offered a table. We ordered their Garlic Wings, Vietnamese Sandwich (Grilled Pork), Vermicelli (Combination Charbroiled Beef, Shrimp, and Egg Roll), and fries. Food came out timely and at the right temperature. Wings were flavorful but I wish they were more crispy. Sandwich was a nice size and had very good flavor. Vermicelli was good. Service was prompt and efficient. Place is small but has a full bar Service: 4.25 Ambiance: 3.5 Value: 3.75

Nice spot that offers a bar. The staff were friendly and checked in multiple times. I ordered the beef pho and added meatballs, the broth seemed mild but quickly dressed up with fixings and it seemed to fix the issue. Unfortunately I didn't take a photo of the food but the bowl it came in could have been larger since I spilled some of the broth at the start while moving the noodles and toppings to mix them.
The soup base is too salty. The source bottle all cover with old juice. The oil for the egg roll are too old
My fiance and I try to keep our meat consumption to a minimum and decided to give Fusion a try since we had heard they had a lot of vegan and vegetarian options. The short of it, excellent customer service from the bartender/waitress, food was mediocre. We came around 6pm on a Saturday night, had no issues getting a seat immediately and immediate service. We quickly realized the bartender seemed to also be the waitress with no help from anyone else. She was very friendly,helpful and attentive given having to multitask and be spread thin. We ordered vegan spring rolls as a appetizer, they were really good and the peanut dipping sauce is probably the best I've ever had! For dinner, I ordered the Bo Luc Lac and my fiance ordered a vegan tofu "from the wok" dish. Nothing on the vegan /vegetarian menu stood out as sounding delicious so I decided to try something other than what I normally would and got the Bo Luc Lac, which was essentially fillet mignon sautéed with mushroom and onion, a side spring salad and steamed rice. The dressing on the salad was great, but some of the filet mignon was tough and the dish overall was way too peppery for my taste. I have never had Vietnamese food so I am not sure if that's typical, but I would not order it again. I did not finish it and even when I tried to eat my left overs the next day, I just couldn't do it. My fiancé however liked his dish, even though he ordered it with no onions or green beans and it came to us with both. Our waitress definitely wrote it down and confirmed it when he ordered, so I am not sure where the miscommunication happened. He was starving when it arrived and didn't want to wait to eat so he picked out all the chopped onion and left the green beans. The carrots also were crinkle cut, which is a dead give away that the veggies are frozen and from a bag, not fresh, which is disappointing. He was still hungry so he ordered a side of egg rolls as well, which were fine. I cannot recall the name but I also ordered a cocktail that has Skrewball PB whiskey, tequila, mango purée and was supposed to have tajin on the rim, but that was missing when it arrived. I asked the bartender to go easy on the purée to try to help make it less sweet, and she did, and I actually really enjoyed this drink, but I do think it had a excessive amount of ice in it for a $9 drink. I am not sure if I will come back or not, it seems a lot of others who have come in have had great experiences so maybe we came on a off day? If I do I'll try to make sure to update my review.

This place has an extensive vegan and vegetarian menu which is pretty cool! Unfortunately, I wasn't super impressed with the food I tried. I ordered a vegan pho and a vegan banh mi. The pho was the better of the two. I liked the vegan spiced beef meatballs but the airy and light fried tofu in the pho didn't feel texturally comparable to sliced beef in pho. I also didn't feel like there was enough protein in the bowl, since normally pho is packed with a variety of different meats. The flavor of the soup was nice and the amount of noodles was satisfactory as well. The banh mi was not so good. I liked the crinkle cut radish and carrots but that's about all. The sliced beef meatballs and the fried tofu again didn't really evoke the taste and texture of meat in a banh mi, and the protein was basically just a few thin non-overlapping slices per section of the sandwich. The worst offender-- the sandwich was dry. Vegan should mean vegan mayo, not no mayo at all. It was sooooo dry. I had to take it home and add my own mayo. I don't hate this restaurant, and I really appreciate the willingness to incorporate a vegan friendly menu. However, the pho and banh mi missed the mark for me. I think I'd just order different items next time, like some of the saucy stir fry plates instead. read more
The jury is still out on this place. Based on my meal i had to give a lower star rating. I got the beef vermicelli plate based on the staffs recommendation and it was terrible. The beef tasted old and if i could say, without ever trying dog food, the beef reminded me of that. I really wanted to like this place. The inside of the restaurant is super cute. And it wasnt busy. They had a few people at the bar. And one other party of 4 eating, an empty table next to them with dirty dishes, and no one bothered to pick them up the whole 20-30 minutes i sat there waiting for my food. The other items i ordered were a chicken bahn mi, edamame and egg rolls. The family said it was good. I just can't recommend the beef. I might check it out again and try something else. read more
We picked Fusion for Friday lunch (1:30pm). I had my entire menu selected in advance and could almost taste it, on this triple digit heat day in Riverside and maybe even with a gin tonic. Awesome place. Super nice bartender and the owner is really nice also. Good food also. The pics I included were an after thought after I started eating. The fried rice portion is enough for two people. The chicken wings are really good and spiced with Jalapenos Nice customers and has outside patio read more

Absolutely delicious! The menu is varied and everything has a wonderful presentation. The staff is gracious and helpful We will definitely be back! Lots of parking on the street and in the back Casual but not noisy. Nice bar area. read more

This place is amazing! Me & my partner were craving pho and fried rice. So we came across this small place that offers Vegan options. It's hard to find local places in riverside that have good vegan options, but this place has a whole menu for us! The owners are very wonderful people.They have cable that plays sea animals & has inspiring quotes on the wall. Wish they would play less county music, but over all food is 100% recommend & great place to sit down, relax & eat! Will be coming back to try many MANY more menu options read more

Tucked away on Brockton Avenue in Riverside, this place has a hard to find front entrance, but it's a nice little gem if you find it. The front entrance is through the gate, and not the door on the right hand side of the gate. The place is very clean and well kept, it is quite spacious, and even has a small outdoor seating area. The bar is nice and big, and has comfortable barstools. Looks like they had plenty of alcohol to choose from, I chose water So I order their Spring Roll, it was big! The taste was what you'd expect, fresh and cool. I mean cool as in temperature, this makes for a nice refresher on a hot day. The dipping sauce was good too, they were generous with the sauce, I used up most of it because it was that good. Then I ordered their Spicy Garlic Toothpick Filet Mignon. This was very delicious, the flavor of the meat was on point, had a slight tangy taste, but perfectly salted, and the veggies were great as well. I really enjoyed the taste on this one. And the serving size was perfect for two people (as an appetizer for two people, so each can try). I would order this one again. I proceeded to order their Banh Mi, as this was a recommendation from Anthony, telling me that their sandwiches are pretty good, so I went with the Grilled/BBQ Beef Banh Mi. In the pictures, it looks small and skinny, but that's because it is served on a french baguette. This skinny sandwich is quite mighty, it packs quite a flavor punch! Anthony was right, it was a great sandwich! It seems plain with its few ingredients, but what makes this sandwich I was told is their housemade mayonnaise and housemade butter. And I would have to agree, it has a certain taste that I cannot quite pinpoint, but IT IS GOOD! I was not disappointed, I thanked Anthony for his recommendation. Anthony was a nice guy, talkative, and great customer service. We even got to talking about Hawaii and he shared some tips for my future visit to Hawaii. All around nice guy, thanks for the help and recommendations Anthony! I would definitely come to this place once again, for lunch, dinner, or for just a quick appetizer snack etc, they have good choices. Oh I forgot to mention, the backside of their menu is dedicated to vegan options, almost all the entire backside is filled with vegan options! I may have to try some of them on my next visit. Pleasantly surprised by this hidden gem. We sat at the bar and was quickly attended to by the sweetest bartender, Natalie. She gave us the 411 on what happy hour specials they had & we were off to a great start. We ordered the Bahn Mi, the beef pho & the shrimp rolls as an appetizer. The beef pho came out piping hot and flavorful. My boyfriend who had the bahn mi said he really liked how fresh the bread tasted and he would order it again. For the price $5, can't beat the value. The shrimp appetizer was good & for a pretty good happy hour price. They had a bunch of $5 appetizers for happy hour which makes for a happy girl! My boyfriend also ordered a Manhattan and Natalie suggested adding some cherry juice to it. Something he typically doesn't do & he really enjoyed it ! Lol Overall a fun & trendy stop on a night out with my boyfriend. I will definitely be back. read more
