My wife and I ordered take out from Gra Pow today. We got Mongolian beef and Gra pow beef off the lunch menu (each spice level 7/10). Each came with rice, salad, chicken dumpling, and fried wonton. Everything was delicious. The order was perfect (so many take out places these days seem to leave things out), and ready on time. Staff was courteous and helpful. We will definitely order from here again--although we'll probably go up a notch on the spice level. read more

Great service, but the food was hit or miss. ​I have mixed feelings about my visit to Gra Pow. The staff is fantastic--our waitress was super prompt, friendly, and attentive the whole time--but the food was a bit of a roller coaster. The ambiance was good but it was a busy night and we had to sit at the bar, which made it a bit louder than we wanted. ​The Good: Definitely order the Yellowtail Carpaccio. It was the highlight of the meal. The citrus sauce was crisp and flavorful, and the jalapeño added the perfect amount of spice. ​The Okay: The Crunch Roll was... fine. It's a pretty basic roll, but the eel sauce was really strong compared to other sushi spots I've been to. If you like heavy sauce, you might like it, but it was a bit much for me. ​The Not-So-Good: I would skip the Tuna Tartare. It was a huge letdown. It was served with bread, which made the texture really mushy--a total no-go for me. On top of that, it just wasn't flavorful. The sauce on it felt like it was there just for the sake of having sauce; it didn't add anything to the dish. ​Verdict: Come for the friendly service and the carpaccio, but maybe skip the tartare. read more

I just finished my workout at the LA Fitness gym and decided wonton soup sounded like a good dinner along with a side of shumi. Unfortunately, the Shrimp Wonton Buddha Soup was very underwhelming. Let's start with the stock. It had no flavor whatsoever. It just tasted like frozen vegetables had been boiled in plain water to make the stock, it had no seasoning. There were lots of vegetables in the soup, but they were disintegrating into mush. Even the broccoli and carrots that was in there was mushy. The wontons were so soft. They were falling apart, and they had no flavor either there was one shrimp wrapped in a wonton wrapper again no flavor. Let's move on to the.Shumi, they were very small and dense there were eight of them in the serving, but they were a little more than very small bite. The filling had a little flavor. The noodle wrapper was very dry and rubbery, and the pork and shrimp filling, lacked flavor and was very tough. I will give them credit for being very fast in preparing my order, as I was taking it home. They offered me water at the bar and they were very friendly. I enjoy watching a Food Network show on the TV while I was waiting, in their defense. I did order this as takeout and it took about 10 to 15 minutes for me to get home to eat even with that amount of time, everything was extremely overcooked. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this restaurant based on this experience. I was hoping to be able to pick up dinner on my gym nights, but that's not gonna happen. I used to love this place. The food was great, fresh and worth the price. Now their menu is huge, all over the place and the quality of the food has really gone downhill. It's sad, really, as it seems they've expanded and focus more on their bar than their restaurant. Last night we went for weekly sushi fix and were so disappointed to find a letter on the door that they will longer serve sushi. The sushi bar and menu are being revamped . No wait ... happy hour appetizers and drinks was an awesome plus.... ordered Thai tacos .. lettuce wraps .. spicy chicken wings ... cheese filled wontons... WOW WOW ... It tasted so fresh ... great flavors ... must say it was head and shoulders above the Thai place we usually go to by our house... got full too fast . First time here and had a great experience overall. They offer a variety of classic Thai dishes as well as sushi (rolls and sashimi) and pho! My party each ordered an entree from the lunch special menu and we all shared the lettuce wraps and chicken pad Thai. Service was great, and the food was delicious. Lunch specials came with a salad, choice of rice (steamed, brown or fried) and fried wontons. I chose the yellow chicken curry and requested it to be spicy, and it had the perfect amount of heat. The pad Thai was different than what I'm normally used to, in which it had thinner noodles - which soaked up the sauce and wasn't dry at all...mmm so good! Thursday, September 11, 2025: I had lunch here with a very dear friend to celebrate her birthday. We both served in the Air Force & have known each other for close to 30 years. This was our favorite hang out when I used to be in the Reserves then when I became a civil servant. My contracting office at March ARB had several gatherings here. Our friendly server James provided superb customer service by checking on us frequently. We ordered from the Lunch Special Menu where our entrees were $16.50 each - so totally worth it! I chose the Chicken Pad See Aew with no heat & my friend opted for the Chicken Pad Thai with mid-heat. The food came out hot, fresh, and quickly. Our dishes came out in generous portions & were absolutely scrumptious! James thoughtfully & surprisingly presented my friend with a complimentary dessert, which I believe was a matcha ice cream with whipped cream. We all sang Happy Birthday. She thoroughly enjoyed it! Additionally, the mango sticky rice had been ordered. I was stuffed but had to have a little taste. It's so good as before! This eatery always delivers with a winning combination. The food, ambiance, customer service, and cleanliness is top notch & perfect for small & large gatherings. They also have an outdoor patio. Gra Pow completely caught me by surprise with how good it was! Normally, I like to try a couple of dishes or visit a few times before leaving a review, but I'm still thinking about the dishes I ordered at my first visit. *Yellow Curry with Chicken: This really took me by surprise! While most yellow curries tend to taste pretty similar no matter where you go, the curry here had so much more depth in both flavor and presentation. It was incredibly delicious, packed with veggies and chicken, and had a perfect, slightly thicker texture. The flavor profile really stood out to me; I haven't tasted a yellow curry quite like this before. *Steamed Shumai: Though smaller than I expected, these were really tasty! I liked pairing them with the sauce on the side and found it a simple but nice appetizer. Parking is ample, and the interior is unlike any Thai restaurant I've been to. There's a full bar and TVs, and it feels very integrated into the Orangecrest community, which was such a nice vibe to experience. Even though the menu has some items that aren't traditionally Thai, everything I ordered was delicious. It was also busy for a weekday night, which is always a good sign of great food and great people. I work close to Gra Pow. Looks great on the outside and in. Plenty of parking and places to sit. I called in my order, person who took my order was pleasant. I got lunch special which they had even on weekends before 3pm. I just didn't expect the lunch special to be $18. What I got for the lunch special was ok. My favorite was the wonton. Had a Thai food craving. Our banker suggested Gra Pow. Two areas to sit: restaurant or the bar area. My party of 3 chose the bar are so we could watch a baseball game on the TV. Both areas were clean and typical for restaurant/bar. Both areas dimly lit. We were greeted at entry and immediately approached by our server Margie. Other employees checked on us and delivered our food; all were nice and helpful. Chicken wings were well flavored. Pad See Ew was good as was the Mongolian Beef, and Pad Kra Pao with beef. Looking for a place to watch sports? Trying to get a cool drink on a hot day? Then this is the place to be. It's a Thai food sports bar! They have a fully stocked bar with liquor! Plenty of seating inside and they have a cozy outdoor area where you can take smoke breaks and hang out with friends. They also have a bunch of TVs all over the place to watch the games! If you can try and get the booth, because the middle chairs aren't too comfortable. The food is surprisingly really good. I ordered the pad Thai chicken, all the flavors for Thai food were in that dish. I also ordered the cream crispy cheese wontons with honey and the dragon wings I highly recommend! It was really tasty, and filling with the rice that comes with it. They have really good happy hour drinks and appetizers from 3-6pm. My friend got a huge pour of wine for $5.00. Others at my table got the 8 Warriors dish, and the Mongolian beef. That was good, but very salty. Server was very nice, but not super attentive, and we saw her less and less as the place got busier. I would go back. The bar area had a nice ambiance and never got as busy as the restaurant. They have outside seating too, but its picnic tables, so less comfortable. read more

They have a variety of options, but their soups are yum! , of which you can ask for your level of spiciness from 1-10. Sushi is good. The wife and I love Thai food and moved to this part of town recently so I've been wanting to try this place for a while. Overall the food is solid but left a bit to be desired. The quality of the dishes were good, and the portions were quite generous, but as someone who likes Thai, I found the spices in the dishes to be lacking. I realize it's Riverside, so the seasoning is probably catered to a different demographic but when I think of Thai food, there has to be spice! The dishes here were more sweet and had too much sauce in my opinion. It's not a bad restaurant, but it left me looking for more. You can tell that everything is made well but if you're looking for authentic Thai flavors and spices, you probably won't find it here. The service was friendly and helpful, although it did take some time for us to get our check at the end. First, the food was delicious. We had tofu and glass noodle soup. It was excellent. We also ordered spring rolls made vegan, emphasizing that there couldn't be any shrimp. Once they were served to us, I folded back the wrapper to discover lots of shrimp. This could have been catastrophic to someone with seafood allergies, as well as being upsetting to vegans. The service was dreadful. We were seated quickly, but then waited a very long time to order. The waitress, although pleasant, told us at least three different times that she'd be back "in just a sec." It actually became a joke at our table. After we finally received our food, we were never checked on again. I had to flag down a random staff member to even get more water. It was also so loud we could barely talk, even though it was lunch time on a weekday. Although both the soup and the eventually-vegan spring rolls were very good, it wasn't a pleasant experience. This review is for the sports bar area and not the restaurant. The bar area is tucked inside a Thai restaurant, with the restaurant on the right and the sports bar on the left. The atmosphere is nice and modern, with a bar area, a long communal table, and more private seating options on the side. There's a jukebox for music requests (for a fee) and four big screens showing sports. The bar has a full selection of craft beers, a full bar, and access to the restaurant's full menu and sushi bar (except on Sundays). We came during happy hour (daily from 3-6pm and 9pm-12am) and tried the spicy garlic edamame and dragon wings, both priced at $7. The edamame was flavorful, though a bit salty, while the dragon wings, tossed in a spicy Szechuan sauce, were a little too sweet for my taste. Next time, I'll probably opt for the cream cheese wontons (also $7). I also enjoyed a well drink for $4, which had a generous pour. Service was quick and friendly, although it became harder to get the bartender's attention later in the night.
