A benchmark of Orangecrest. Always a solid choice. Baffled by the bad reviews. My family and I love this place. Sometimes it is very crowded but we always get a table or take out. The lunch specials are amazing, the crab Rangoon and calamari are spot on. My kids say it's the best orange chicken in the area. The mango sticky rice is a treat not to skip. The servers and staff are friendly. Sometimes when they get busy they can be slow but that's expected. The bar area is hopping at night. Fresh, tasty and I'm never disappointed. Complete waste of a night! Placed our order. Two neighboring tables were sat 15-20 minutes after us. They got their food. Waitress came back to confirm one of our orders. It came out 15 minutes later. Just as he was taking his last bite, my food arrived. Asked about it, apparently she forgot to put in our order. Nearly an hour later. My wife and I went to this restaurant on a week day evening. She knew about this place, but it was my first time hearing and going to this spot. I liked the fact the restaurant has an inside bar area (pretty large) attached to the restaurant, which had tv's and a full bar. It's a great spot to eat Thai food and watch sports. This place also has an exterior sitting area as well. The food was excellent, the service was good and the price was good as well. The quality of the food was good as well. We stopped by this restaurant on the way back to San Diego from Big Bear. This is one of kind Thai Fusion restaurant which also has very big bar. The bar was very busy, and they have very wide selection of Beers, Wines and other Cocktail drinks. We ended up getting Manhattan Cocktail while waiting in the line to get our table which took more than 30 minutes may be because of Friday. We are big fan of Thai and Asian food, and the restaurant bar is one of a kind. The Ambiance of restaurant is very high class. We were group of 8 people, and everyone enjoyed the food and drinks. The service was wonderful. The food was EPIC, we ended up getting TOM YUM (HOT & SOUR SOUP) - CHICKEN, TOM KHA (COCONUT SOUP) - CHICKEN, SPICY YUZU KANPACHI ROLL, DRAGON ROLL, GRA/POW NOODLE, RED CURRY, and Spicy Chicken Fried Rice. After sitting for an hour waiting the young lady tells me that she forgot to put chicken and the kitchen never made my food. I have to wait another 30 minutes for my food. Came here as we have to wait for item pick up in the area. This place was search highlight at that time, in addition the love we have for Thai food. The staff was super nice and welcoming. We had warm greeting and seated right away. Upon looking at the menu, I was quite surprised because the price of main course menu was higher roughly $3-$5 compared to restaurant in the area. I understand this place offers alcohol and be on another level among similar restaurants due to ambience and service but portion also quite shocking compared to price listed. Wings was deliciously crunchy and tender at the same time as well we had chance to opt to happy hour menu. Pad See Euw was presentable, however taste was not quite as expected, don't taste enough fish sauce. Green curry portion was too small though taste was so delicious. Mango Sticky Rice as our desert surprisingly was a big portion and we had to have it taken away in a box. I knocked off a star because of the service. We went for dinner. The servers seems to be all over the place...they need a designated area or everyone needs to be hands on deck. After we got seated we saw a family sit down and get their waters and appetizers before we got water. After we finally got to order and eat our foods no one check up on us until we were done. I needed a box and the check so when the sever came back with them I asked him not to leave so I could give him the card to pay. Now the food, is delicious. I got the Pad g Gra Pow and my husband usually gets pad Thai, but tried the beef Black Pepper and loved it. We didn't order any appetizers and I'm glad we didn't order else we would've been there forever! If you can order to go that would probably be your best bet if service is important to you. Entered through the first door which is the bar side (no signage on where to get a table), saw a second door on the other side and that was for dine in. No one helped us for about 15 minutes, my partner and I got skipped over and there was no space to stand with 5 different parties waiting with us. The wait time was fine and expected for a Saturday night. We got our food and drinks and weren't checked on until the end of the meal and the waiting staff kept taking the condiments from us even though we asked for them and were using them. Whenever I visit my family in Southern California I always prioritize a meal at Gra Pow. I've probably been there about 10-15 times and each time my meal has been excellent. I have to say they have the best Pad Thai I've ever had and it's what I get every time I go. I try everyone else's food too though and it's so delicious. This time my family and I went during happy hour. We started with our favorite app, Spicy garlic edamame which is so good! We also had the cream cheese wontons ( my mom's favorite) and dragon wings which my dad loves ( I'm vegetarian) . Those apps were discounted ( $7 each) during happy hour. For our main meals we had beef Panang , chicken, shrimp pineapple rice and I had my tofu pad Thai. I tried everyone else's food ( I'm officially a flexitarian now) and we were all pleased ( as usual). They have outside seating in front and a bar area if you want to watch sports. My family and I sit on the quieter side since we aren't there for the sports. Oh and my fav drink is the What are you Tajin about it's vodka based with cucumber and a Tajin rim. They have a good selection of draft beers and my mom likes their house white. If you are looking for a great Thai place in Riverside then you've got to go here. read more

Seriously the best Thai food in Riverside, and very sweet & friendly servers; my only complaint is that there was a wooden blind next to our table that needed to be dusted desperately, but the rest of the restaurant including the restroom was very clean. I consider this the best Thai place in the Riverside/Moreno Valley area. The chef does some exceptionally good dishes. I've always had a pretty good experience there. It's very popular, so if you're going on a Friday or Saturday night, there'll be a wait. But all in all, I find the food to be excellent. The bar is quite good. They have a sports bar thing on the other side with outdoor seating as well. So if you just want to go watch a game and be a little rowdy, you can go on one side. If you're looking for a nice quiet sit-down meal, you can go on the other. So all in all, very good food and great seating. read more

I finally figured out why the food has a weird smell and taste! Anything they make with sesame oil is disgusting! I googled it and realize that this place is using old oil that is rancid. Giving it a fishy flavor. Which means that they're reusing sesame oil and not caring what it will do to people. Over priced food that isn't even being prepared correctly. read more

I used to come here a lot, maybe when it was newly opened and remember it being good and having huge portions. Well the food quality is the same and this place has apparently blown up in popularity because it was packed with long waits tonight. It's located in a big plaza, so there's plenty of parking. The environment here is lovely, with areas to sit outside, inside, plus the bar area. If you're going to order takeout, maybe order an hour in advance. I arrived and thought I'd place a takeout order and was told the wait was an hour and a half. Wtf, right? Went back to my car and thought, well, what's the wait for dine-in? Bar seating, it was about 35-45 mins. So try and get reservations or plan ahead of time to avoid the waits. Everything here tastes great and you're certainly going to be full so it's worth the prices, which is a little bit more than your usual Thai spots. This visit I got the pad woon sen.
