Prices are reasonable but can definitely add up if you have a big order. Out of all the Thai restaurants I've eaten at in the Riverside area, this is definitely my favorite. Their combo fried rice and pad see ew are seasoned perfectly and I really appreciate how generous they are when I ask for something spicy. Their tom yum is also so solid and has the perfect balance of sourness, spice, and sweetness - the strong aroma told me it was gonna taste amazing. Thai tea - 10/10 no notes. I ordered food through uber eats and this place is disgusting. The crab Rangoon was burned and nasty. The panang sauce was way watered down and I instructed no spicy, but yet it was spicy. The pineapple curry was also very watered down. The rice in the mango sticky rice was uncooked. I want my money back cause the food was so bad. I will never order from here again. I've ordered from Riverside Thai Kitchen twice, once in 2019 and again in 2022, both of which were takeout. My order in 2019 was a variety of pad thai, pad see ew, pad kee mao, and curries. It was a large order, and the restaurant was generous with utensils and rice; in fact, we had leftovers. I never had the opportunity to dine in, but the pick up time was correct, and the process was smooth. Fast forward to 2022, I was craving Thai food, and I saw this restaurant on Postmates. It looked familiar, and I had an excellent experience in the past, which enticed me to order again. This time, I ordered pad thai, pad see ew, and massaman curry. I wish I could find the picture of the delivery, but I could not. I do have a picture of the pad see ew - there may be other pictures around Yelp - but I found the quantities to be rather disappointing. Both the pad thai and the pad see ew boxes were only half full; the majority was filled with noodles; and I feel that they skimped on the protein. I recall well that the pad thai was drier and blander than normal, while the pad see ew was very salty and sour, with an awkwardly powdery after taste. For both the pad thai and pad see ew, the quality and quantity of food was too low to justify the price. The massaman curry, however, was tasty, and I enjoyed the sweet taste of this dish. I would definitely order this again if I have the opportunity to visit again in the future. I wish I could give Riverside Thai Kitchen a higher rating, but I miss the quality (and quantity) that I first experienced in 2019. read more

Can I just start off with this is one of the very few places locally that will do Thai Hot for spice level. Delicious!! I order the Panag curry and pad Thai for pick up. Panag curry is quite good! The flavor is good and there is a good portion of meat and peppers. It also has a nice little kick to it. The pad Thai was an utter disappointment. I took a bite into it and it just straight up tastes like noodles and sugar. I don't know what went wrong but it's a major failure. The chicken just tastes like someone boiled it in sugar water. The noodles as if they took rice noodles and sprinkled a ton of sugar on it. No umami, no spice, no tamarind, no salt. Just sugar. I even added some fish sauce to see if I could salvage it but no, it was too sweet. In the end I just tossed it because it wasn't worth the calories. Edit: Response to Bob's response: Yes, you do not have to cater to every customer's specific tastes. You have a lot of people who enjoy your food! Which is why I wanted to try it out. I posted this review to share my experience. Pad Thai while supposed to sweet, it also has sour and salty flavors. And you know if you think that it should be just be sweet then it's just that we have differences in opinions and so be it, which is why I wrote the review. I consumed the pad Thai within 15 minutes of picking up from your restaurant because I was so hungry. That being said, I've definitely had dry noodle take out that's still delicious the next day. Of course, an in-restaurant experience is always better, but I don't think quality drops so far down just from doing take-out. In addition, the pad Thai that I had was not just a little sweet. It straight-up tasted like sugar so much so that I did not taste any other flavor. I was looking for a new Thai place to try while in Riverside area and I found this place and another one. I decided to go here. It's somewhat hidden, parking is not that big. Place is big enough and they're really busy especially with Togo orders. My friend and I ended up ordering an appetizer, soup and two entrees. It was definitely a lot of food. However to rate them, I would only give them 4 stars. I asked for the spiciness level and it's from 1-5, 3 is medium and 2 is mild. Well we got 2 for the soup and drunken noodles. It was too spicy in my opinion. If you don't like spicy I may just get level 1. The appetizer we got was sa tay which is basically kind of like chicken skewers, I thought it had a lot of egg flavor which I didn't enjoy. Not sure if it had eggs or not. Pad see ew was too saucy!! I haven't had it like that before The drunken noodles was better in my opinion. We got it without onions Tom kha soup is one of my favorite soups but this place I would also give them 4/5. 5 star curry! First time; ordered takeout. The lady on the phone was exceptionally nice on the phone and even more in person. Very pleasant! The atmosphere is lovely. I think I can get my partner to come dine in with me. She doesn't like crowded places and the layout of the restaurant is large enough to not feel claustrophobic if it ever gets super crowded. Update... soooo disappointed today. Same curry but with tofu and one with shrimp. The amount of "juice" was low in the container; MUCH lower than what we've received multiple times before. Two weeks ago I ordered green curry. I literally poured it into my bowl & dumped it down my sink. They're no lunch specials right now so paying full entree price you expect better. My green curry was swimming in grease & like water. I understand Covid is hitting everyone. I don't mind paying more but my pictures speak the truth unlike the pictures you have of entrees you have taken pictures of and not actual customers. It literally tasted more of water than anything. That's why i was so upset and thus this review. I've come here only one other time before today and it was amazing, that's why I'm putting two stars instead of one. However I came in today and asked for the pad kee mao and I asked for it mild. Told the gentleman somewhere between 1 & 2. Well I got my meal and it was so hot it was honestly inedible. I typically like spicy stuff but I'm having some medical issues where I have to lay off the spicy stuff and honestly I'm just so disappointed. To spend $16 and for me to leave half my plate is sad. I just can't have it at the moment like I said earlier, so when I ask for a 1.5 I think that's safe to say I'm asking for it very mild. My boyfriend requested that the tofu in the eggplant tofu be crispy and fried while the eggplant be soft and mushy. She was happy to do that for him and it was one of our favorite dishes amongst what we ordered. Food (4/5): Our favorite was the three-flavor fish and the eggplant with tofu! We also had the curry, pad see ew, and mango with sticky rice. The three-flavor fish is a must-try! The sauce that comes on the side is packed with flavor and is both sweet and savory. We thought the curry could have used a little bit of work though, the potatoes and carrots were really hard, they definitely need to be softened up a bit. I have been ordering from Riverside Thai for about a year now and noticed recently the food quality has changed for the worse. The main issue I have is the lack of effort put in the food in general. The white rice is always mushy, the portion of rice given isn't enough for one person. I just ordered take out from there and I know this will be the last time. Would not recommend coming here if you're trying to grab a bite and go, the typical wait is 20+ minutes. Service is decent but staff mostly keep to themselves. This is actually my favorite Thai restaurant, even out of the ones not in Riverside. I usually order the red curry with tofu. They are very generous with the curry, which usually comes in a big soup bowl, and the curry is overflowing with tofu, bell peppers, basil, and bamboo slices. The curry is a little bit spicy and tangy under the coconut milk. The curry comes out steaming hot along with one serving of rice. read more

Riverside Thai Kitchen is delicious. While there's plenty of Thai restaurants in the Riverside area, most tend to be decent but with many faults. Surprisingly, Riverside Thai Kitchen has clean facilities, friendly staff and great tasting food. We came in for a late lunch and immediately noticed that the facilities were clean. There was plenty of seating for large groups as well as a Take Out counter for those in rush. The staff was quite friendly with us, taking our orders and constantly making sure our waters were refilled and that we were enjoying on meals. As for the food, we ordered Fried Wontons, made fresh and savory with chicken filling. Also ordered was the Papaya Salad, which was a refreshing salad for a hot day. For our main entree selections, we ordered Crying Tiger, which consisted of tender beef with seasoning on the side and a side of rice. This is one of my favorite dishes to order when eating Thai because it give the customer a chance to see how the kitchen uses their seasoning and spices...or do they rely on the "dipping sauce" to provide the flavor. The second entree was the Green Curry with Tofu, which was a delightful dish, especially if you enjoy tofu or are a vegetarian. Both dishes came with white rices.
