They don't have combos like many fast food chinese places. You order an entry and that's what you get. Not what I was expecting when walking in to a fast food Chinese place. I'm sticking to Panda Express next time where at least I get options of fresh food rather than looking at picture where hot food used to be.

$31 is WAY to MUCH for Wings and noddle

Tried this spot for a quick Chinese meal. The lady said it's fresh and made to order--true, it's not greasy and tastes decent for fast food. Got rice, chow mein, two proteins, and veggies. It's basic and okay, nothing special. But $31? Way overpriced. I usually pay $15 for the same elsewhere. 2.5/5 stars. Fine if you're nearby, but skip for better value.

Our leftovers combined after eating dinner! Portions were incredibly generous!

We will definitely be returning! This is the perfect quick hole in a wall Chinese spot! The combos are super affordable and it was a load of food - bonus. It wasn't all side, we had loads of our entrees in the combo! The gal behind the counter had the BIGGEST smile and was so happy to have us - making recommendations etc... we got the Mongolian Beef with Chow Mein and the Orange Chicken with Fried rice with an order of potstickers. Date night's dinner for $30 and change, YES PLEASE! Everything is made to order and SO fresh!!! Husband dove in before I could take a photo, and now we will be leaving with leftovers - but as I said, we will be back. Ohh! FYI cash or Zelle only atm, so come prepared

Sesame and Orange chicken with noodles

Found out that our favorite Chinese food spot had a change of ownership so came over to check it out. The lady at the counter was very nice and gave all my kids some twist cookies. We ordered two 2 item plates. The first plate was orange chicken & sesame chicken with noodle. The meat was very very good - and the noodle were definitely decent. The other plate was black pepper chicken and jalapeño chicken with rice. Again - meat was on point and my husband said he could eat it all day every day -- the rice however was on the dry side and seemed to have been sitting out too long - borderline crunchy. We also ordered chicken egg rolls which were on point and cheese wantons....again I loved this place for their unique wontons which were so much better then other places but it looks like the original owners took the recipe with them because these were not what I was use to. Truly heartbreaking- and if you've been here and had the wantons you know what I'm talking about. Over all we will continue to give our business here and support our local non-chain spot. I'm hoping the rice is better next time though!

Freshly cooked Salt and pepper shrimp. My favorite!

Finally NEW OWNERSHIP. Everything is made fresh!!!!! No food just sitting out. They are very friendly. Highly recommend for fast food fresh Chinese food. Very clean inside as well.

Broccoli beef bowl with chow mein

I need to start by saying that this place legit makes food fresh to order! That is so rare for fast food places. The food: The beef with broccoli is the best I've had from a fast food takeout. The meat is so tender and the broccoli is fresh! The chow mein was just okay. There are wayyyy too many celery pieces in there which actually gives a taste of mint which has no business in chow mein. The noodles are NOT made fresh to order but I can tell that haven't sat out that long. The cream cheese wontons are NOT good. They taste like there is zero sugar in them so they are almost tart. They also do not have any green onion. The vegetable egg rolls are amazing! They too were not fresh but yet they were warm and still crispy! Since I have a mild obsession with wontons I likely won't be back but if that's not your thing, definitely worth a try! The man who helped me was super kind and the place is well kept. Drinks are only cans, no soda machine.

Chow mein ( no veggies ) & mushroom chicken

They are back open under new ownership and the food is AMAZING! Wonderful flavor!! So fresh! The best Chinese food I've had in years! It's all made to order, not sitting under heat lamps! Next to Smart & Final on Arlington. The lady at the front is cheerful & helpful and the place is spotless clean! Give them a try!

Supposed to orange chicken
Lilian H.

Holy $hit this place is disgusting! Orange chicken is more like red dried chicken. The reviews aren't lying when they say the food is bland. I'm also disappointed that they didn't add my order of steamed rice but that's my fault for not double checking my to go order. Overall, this was not a good experience.

Orange chicken and vegetables I mean chili beef.

It's either Riverside or Los Angeles. The Los Angeles location is nice because it has standard restaurant seating and the vibe is full on Monty's! It's so cool! I hope they grow and open more locations. My husband and I just drove an hour to get to the Riverside location. We're only able to come once a month because it's so far away. We would hit it once a month if it were closer, maybe more than once a month. Service is always great at this location. They have stickers and buttons available. The seating is bar stools at a counter inside the food lab. The food is amazing! It's always perfectly made and it hits the spot when we miss the Monty's plant-based chicken. The burgers are good. Love the fries and tots! Definitely do the "maxed out" tots or fries. Those are the best! I love the kale salad and add chicken on top. My husband loves the chicken burgers. We always bring friends here to try Monty's plant-based grub! This place rocks.

I absolutely love their mascot though and they have free stickers that look like him. All food is vegetarian friendly! 100% plant-based.

The restaurant has a casual, trendy brunch vibe and the menu is full of creative options that sounded really good. We tried the Brisket S'Mac Wrap, the Eggcelent Morning, and the truffle fries. The brisket wrap was flavorful and filling, with a nice balance of savory and cheesy. The Eggcelent Morning was solid comfort food and definitely satisfied a brunch craving. The truffle fries were crispy, well-seasoned, and a great shareable side. Service was the one downside. It was not very attentive, and we waited longer than expected for check-ins and refills. It was not terrible, but noticeable enough to impact the experience. Not to mention, it was not very busy at all around the time weren't, which was on a Wednesday around noon. My ordered double dipped Big Beef Sandwich with Sweet Bell Peppers, melted Mozzarella Cheese, and Giardiniera was enormous, and after initially having my breath knocked away by the Giardiniera's overwhelming spiciness, my intestines soon settled down and I greatly enjoyed the melting concoction. The hoagie roll supporting this mammoth edifice of tender roast beef and embellishments nicely sopped up the au jus, and sank under the heat. The Chicago Dog that accompanied the Big Beef was a classic all-beef Hot Dog with a snap, rounded out with Emerald Green Relish, White Onions, Sport Peppers, and Yellow Mustard. For purists no ketchup is allowed on Chicago Dogs! Crinkle-cut French Fries added to my enjoyment of the meal. Also, there is indoor and outdoor seating but it's limited so if you have a large crowd, try to plan ahead or order your food to go. When we pulled up there were about 6 cars in front of us. The line did move slower than usually so I'm not sure what the delay is/was. There are a lot of food options and not only burgers. They have a variety of salads, serve breakfast all day, and have dinners you can order. I love that they give you the choice of fries, onion rings, fried zucchini, or a salad without charging you extra. Most places do. The service was great and please don't take offense if they read your order back quickly. This place can get really busy. The cashier read our order back perfect. Tonight we ordered 3 meals. A Pastrami Burger Combo w/ Sprite, Chicken Tender dinner w/ Pink Lemonade, and the Mechanic (Pastrami Steak Sandwich) combo w/ salad and Unsweetened Tea. The total was $58. We always order our fries extra crispy. It's the way to go for us. The Mechanic was really good. I would definitely get it again. It was seasoned to the max, actually a little too seasoned for my liking but I assure you, that's just my preference because I'm not big on salt. This was my first time having their pastrami in a sandwich and that's what was heavily salty to me. The bread and the fresh veggies on the sandwich helped cut through it a little. My side salad was delicious. I love that they use English cucumbers and put shredded cheese on it. My significant other tore his pastrami burger up and said they have the best one locally. My teenager loves the bread from the chicken tender dinner. Sadly they forget her Ranch for the tenders. Overall, it was yummy!
