Thai House Restaurant has a strong local following and a long history in Redlands. Overall, diners praise it for flavorful food, a unique atmosphere, and reliable lunch specials - like sweet n sour w/ fried rice, pad Thai, spicy vegetables tofu, and Thai ice tea. Friendly staffs and fast services.

We came here for lunch because my co-worker raved about it. They had dinner here just the night before. We all ordered off lunch special menu. I wish they have some noodle dishes on the lunch special menu. I ordered Thai basil with chicken. The presentation and the taste were nic. It's a good value as it came with green salad (or soup), two fried wontons and fried rice (or steamed rice). Unfortunately i found a big piece of egg shell from my egg! I'd still go back to try more items from their regular menu and mango sticky rice! The space is big. It's got a full bar. The parking could be tough during rush hour.

I have been going to this place since the 80's. Yeah .... I am that old. Foods ate always the same. Flavorful, great options and variety. I noticed through out the years, the portions are smaller. Service is friendly, fast, efficient. The place is cozy, bright, clean. They have a small outdoor seating in the back which is great. Heaters are on during a chilly evening.

Thai House is one of those spots that almost hits legendary status... but stops just shy of it. The Pad Thai was the clear winner flavorful, satisfying, and a great gluten-free option that didn't feel like a compromise (which, let's be honest, is rare). It's the kind of dish you'd happily order again without hesitation. That said, the orange chicken didn't quite bring the crunch it leaned more soft than crispy, which felt like a missed opportunity for greatness. And a friendly tip from someone who learned the hard way: maybe skip the sizzling rice soup this time around. Overall, still a fun and tasty experience, just with a little room to level up.

First time coming here appetizers are fire. We got the House rice. It needed a little bit more flavor in my opinion overall it was some good fried rice. We got the house chow mein, and that was very favorable. It was on point. We loved it and we also got the orange tea which was also very flavorful and delicious service was on point great customer service and I love the atmosphere a lot of cool statues everywhere but this is just my opinion you guys come and check them out in the city of Redlands

It's no surprise this place has earned thousands of great reviews. From the moment we stepped inside, we were welcomed by beautiful, authentic Thai décor that immediately set the mood. After being seated, choosing from the extensive menu was a challenge--in the best way possible. We decided on the Fried Duck, a dish not commonly found at many Thai restaurants, along with the Green Chicken Curry. The duck was flavorful, though the texture could be improved as it was slightly chewy. The green curry, while enjoyable, surprisingly lacked the depth of soup flavor typically expected, especially after experiencing many Thai restaurants over the years. Steamed rice was complimentary with our main dishes, which was appreciated. Opinions may differ for those less familiar with Thai cuisine, but this perspective comes from someone who has grown up enjoying Thai food. That said, the service was truly top-notch--attentive, warm, and well taken care of throughout the visit. If you'd like it to sound shorter, more casual, or more Instagram-style, I can tweak it in a snap.

This has been one of my favorite Thai restaurants for years. I grew up in the area and loved coming here with family. I was finally able to return after not being here for several years. The food was still as delicious as I remember it. The staff were just as friendly as I remember it. It felt like home. The interior is clean and colorful. There is plenty of seating and it's still one my favorite Thai restaurants!!

Sunday lunch was good. Recommended by our daughter it was her birthday. First time , I was satisfied . The ambiance was very homey. It looks like a house turned into a home style restaurant. Seated for 5 person. A little wait for the server to come in because it got busy. They have lunch special very reasonable . We got Sweet and sour shrimp with fried rice very good, crispy and good amount of shrimp. Papaya salad was refreshing one of my favorite. The beef curry was ok. The curry was kinda watery. The fried wonton was good a little raw in the middle. The bbq ribs were tender and juicy. The pork with basil was on the bland side. The beef with mixed vegetables , meat was tough . Overall, it was a good lunch .

Awesome! We celebrated a birthday here and it was just fantastic!!! The chicken chow mein lunch special was outstanding! I loved the dressing on my house salad and all the veggies were super fresh and crispy. The tofu spring rolls were ridiculously amazing- huge and both the peanut and sweet and sour sauces were delicious . My Thai tea was very sweet but it was refreshing and they have the cool little ice cubes for their drinks. The fried rice was on point. Overall it was a fantastic experience. Clean restaurant and friendly service!!!!

I've been coming here since 1988, and it's where my passion for Thai and spicy food truly began. Their tom kha gai soup is simply the best, setting the standard for how I judge other Thai restaurants' versions and even how I prepare it at home. For 35 years, we've made it a tradition to make it and enjoy it on New Year's Eve. This visit was no exception; the tom kha gai was outstanding. The broth stood out with its pure white color, which is a rarity since most places serve it with an orange hue. The generous amount of galanga added a wonderful aroma and that signature flavor that I love. And a lot of chicken too. Best of all, they DO NOT put tomatoes in it. So many Thai restaurants add tomatoes. I like tomatoes but not in my tom kha gai. And of course we had steamed jasmine rice as well and Thai iced teas. Yum! The service has always been phenomenal and I'm always amazed at how quick the food comes out, even if they are crowded.

Food that we ordered was really good. The servers are very friendly. The pad Thai was perfect, not too sweet and not too sour, just balanced the way we like it. The panang curry also has a pleasant taste, not too sweet, just right.

My most favorite Thai restaurant and I've been around! Start with ambiance ... beautiful restaurant that feels calm and welcoming. Restaurant and separate bars seating areas. Outside seating in a little "garden" that is quite lovely and covered in warm months and heated in cooler. Always fast and friendly service. Reasonable prices especially for lunch. Food absolutely scrumptious! Mind you, I have my go too dishes I'm referring to (literally any noodle dish but especially the Rad Na/Pad See EW/Drunken, BBQ chicken with dipping sauce, any curries especially the red/pumpkin/pineapple, and of course the mango sticky rice).

This was ok the noodles to over cooked a stuck together and dry

When we arrived, there was a group of three ahead of us, which was completely fine. Once it was our turn, one of my friends made a lighthearted joke just to lighten the mood, that's simply his personality. The hostess immediately responded with a very dry attitude, which we brushed off at first. However, things only got worse from there. As we stood there waiting, multiple groups who arrived after us were suddenly being attended to first. She was checking their IDs, writing their names down on the iPad, and letting them in before us, even though we had clearly been waiting longer. We eventually approached her and asked why our IDs hadn't been checked or our names added yet. She responded by saying she had told us to wait in line, which never happened. None of us were ever directed to a line. From that point on, her tone became increasingly condescending and disrespectful. When I told her that she should speak to customers more respectfully, she mockingly grabbed her ear and said, "What? I can't hear you, it's loud in here," even though it was not loud at all. It felt extremely immature and unnecessary. She also made comments about being the "senior hostess," but honestly, that title means nothing if customers are being treated poorly. Everyone has bad days, but that does not justify taking it out on guests. My friends and I are not the type to complain or leave reviews, but the attitude and behavior we experienced were genuinely inappropriate and unprofessional. We ended up leaving without even going inside. Unfortunately we did not get her name. But she is a white female with blonde hair and glasses, wearing a pink and white Renaissance style outfit and distinctive floral inspired eyeliner makeup that went all the way to her hairline. I'll admit, I eventually became frustrated and felt the need to defend myself and my friends because of how we were being spoken to. I'm not proud that the interaction even reached that point, but the way we were treated felt unnecessarily rude, dismissive, and disrespectful from the beginning.

It's a perfect place for a date or a night out with friends or family. The focal point of the main dining room is the bar, which faces the restaurant's entrance. Meticulously designed with a nostalgic feel, the bar features blonde wood shelves holding hundreds of vinyl records, carefully curated design objects, and a DJ booth neatly tucked into a corner next to the bar. The beer taps are elegantly minimalist, and every detail in the bar--for example, the old-fashioned glass syrup bottles--seems planned to give a nod to history (specifically the late 19th century, when Redlands was founded). The main dining room offers plenty of comfortable seating choices, including a long bar along the center of the room. The patio is spacious and well kept. All of the spaces inside and out have music piped in from the bar. There are two restrooms just off the patio, and these are well-maintained. On busy nights, patrons can enjoy a drink in a standing bar area just off the patio. I love that the Overland provides a choice of setting depending on the kind of night you're planning. A romantic date? Get a reservation to sit inside, and it feels intimate. Just hanging out? The bar is fun as the mixologists make excellent drinks and friendly conversation. Sitting at the bar after 7 PM, you can watch the DJs spin the platters. If you have a larger group or just like to eat alfresco, the patio is perfect. The menu offers a really nice variety of drinks, including the pricier craft cocktails, more classic, moderately priced beverages, nonalcoholic drinks, and all sorts of beer and wine. The food menu is solid, with plenty of appetizers, salads, entrées, and a dessert. The real star is the tacos! These are very moderately priced at seven dollars apiece, and all three varieties are delicious! There is a potato taco, a beef taco, and pork chili Verde taco. I highly recommend these! The green salsa they provide is extremely mild, but they do have a variety of hot sauces on hand. It's worth mentioning that even a humble plate of tacos is served on nice ceramic dishes, along with good flatware and napkins. The espresso martini cheesecake is creamy and delicious, and the portion is really generous. The staff seem to enjoy working at the Overland. The servers work hard to make sure your order is to your liking, and food comes out pretty fast. There's a good sense of teamwork among them. The staff is also accommodating about seating or any special requests. We've been there on a busy Friday night, and on a Sunday evening and late night. We seated ourselves at our favorite raised table in the corner on the far side of the bar. My husband and I stuck to traditional cocktails, and old fashioned and a Negroni. Our friends chose signature cocktails: the Turbo Granny and the Electric Feel. Now the Electric Feel was not just a drink, it was an experience. Our server explained to our friend that he should sip a little of the drink, then chew the Szechuan buzz bud for about 15 seconds, letting it coat his whole tongue, then enjoy the rest of the drink which would taste different afterwards. Our friend went through all those steps and said it was incredible, like all the flavors were enhanced along with different sensations in his mouth, kind of numb and tingly. His wife was not satisfied with his description of the experience, so she bought a Szechuan buzz bud for $2 and she said it was kind of like pop rocks. These buzz bud looks just like a little flower bud like the end of a dandelion once the seeds are blown away. It comes from a plant. Totally fascinating! We decided on weekend brunch, especially since there were endless mimosas. Our kids have a recollection of being down the class umbrella alleyway, so they were amazed when they saw it. A short while later, we were in front of the restaurant and were quickly seated by the staff. They didn't ask if we preferred outdoor or indoor seating, but we were seated inside right next to the kitchen. We heard that indoor seating was better for service anyway. The interior of the restaurant was "very fancy," and my daughter thought we were in a date spot. We knew we wanted French fries and opted for the garlic Parmesan fries. At first, the kids were weirded out by the arugula, but my daughter ended up enjoying it, noting the bitter and salty notes. My son devoured the entire plate (not the arugula) and asked for another round. We also ordered the lemon ricotta French toast, made from Brioche bread, lemon blackberry butter, whipped lemon ricotta cream, blackberries, mint, and maple syrup. They perfected the crispy exterior, which contrasted well with the fluffy bread. My wife ordered the breakfast pizza--a focaccia pizza topped with marinara, ham, spinach, fresh tomato, red onion, a sunny-side-up egg, and herb-infused maple syrup. This was really delicious with the tart, fresh tomatoes, the salty ham, and the sweet maple syrup. I ended up eating the sunny-side egg by itself, so we didn't get to try the pizza with the egg. Lastly, I ordered the steak and eggs, but it was sadly a small portion. I ordered it medium rare, and it came out medium. The seasoning was a bit strange and would have been better with simple salt, pepper, and garlic. The mimomas really made my wife happy. She started feeling it pretty quickly. She chose the pineapple juice while I got the traditional orange. Not sure if the alcohol made the food better or the other way around. I was brought to reality when I saw the expensive bill, though.
