What an amazing experience! I was looking online for a good Vietnamese restaurant, and there were several options around the area. At the end, my party decided on Pho Viet -- based on reviews, menu items, and proximity. We ordered several items: the fried egg rolls were amazing! They were filled to the brim and served with some lettuce, cucumber, and a daikon carrot slaw. They were an absolute HIT! Personally, I love a good Birds Nest (that's what it's called where I'm from). Here, it's called the "Stir Fried Beef, Chicken, Shrimp With Mixed Vegetable With Crispy Egg Noodle". It is a great portion to share with 2-4 people! The sauce was good and they were generous with the portion options on top. The rest of my party ordered the pho and they said it tasted rich, clean, not heavy, and perfectly seasoned! Service was great, too; we were the only ones in the restaurant and after ordering, I kid you not but entire order was on our table in less than 5 minutes! I was hesitant at first, but all the food was fresh-to-order. No microwave/under the heat lamp food here! So glad to have discovered this hidden gem in the Redlands! Recently going there few times a month, love their food and the taste of it. Service is decent for Vietnamese restaurant and the staff are nice. Here goes the bad part why only 2 stars, mainly for their owner or accounting person, As I totally feel cheated by. The 1st time I went, I didn't pay too much attention on the billing and then it came 2nd, 3rd and 4th times, every single time that I got overcharged for around a dollar. It seems like they purposely doing that so customers won't notice. I always write even # on all my bills, so if there is some odd # show up on my CC is very easy to tell. TOTAL DISAPPOINTED..... The atmosphere is nice as the restaurant looks clean and I was walking in half an hour before closing time. As a person with allergies, I was very nervous to order anything as the menu has zero descriptions of what is in the plate just the name of the plate and then the translation in Vietnamese next to it with a price. How do I know if it has bok choy in it onions in it eggs in it cabbage in it green beans in it? How am I supposed to know if it's spicy or not? The staff was very friendly and accommodating was quick to bring me out water and try to answer some of the questions I had, but I just didn't have the confidence to move forward with any of the plates with out understanding what items were in them. I was so excited to try new Vietnamese restaurant in the area. I was surprised by how good this place is 11/10 EXCELLENT. They have variety of different Vietnamese dishes, but I've chose the Wonton with egg noodle soup. The broth was savory and clear which is my highest compliment. The restaurant itself was nice and clean with a beautiful design interior. Service was quick and the servers so attentive. They helped me to explain all of my questions. Very helpful. We came by for lunch and we each ordered a different dish. Their portion size is big!!! I had V2 - Charbroiled Pork bowl with vermicelli (my all time favorite dish). It's very tasty and refreshing with lettuce, pork, rice noodles and bean sprouts. The bean sprouts came out raw and i asked the staff to cook them. The owner or manager was very nice and kindly cooked some bean sprouts for me. He also came by to see if we need anything. All other dishes we ordered were good as well. Came in around 5pm with a party of 7, 5 adults and 2 kids. One of the servers told the other servers here come more people, and rolled her eyes. We got seated right away and they served us water. The serve we got was the one who rolled her eyes and the whole time, she was making little smart comments. Which I thought was so rude. It was so hard to get her attention. She would go around asking every other table if they needed anything but never came around our table. The char beef plate was really good. The egg rolls were very flavorful and crunchy. This could be the old Noodle 21 spot. Ordered to-go recently through DoorDash. Super quick to pickup and they've always packed our order up quite neatly. Prices on the soup noodles bowls are comparable to other pho spots around Redlands, ranging between $16.45 - $16.95 for a regular bowl, and $17.45 - $17.95 for a large bowl. If you're just needing a large bowl of hot soup and rice noodles, it's $9.50 plus tax. The regular sized bowl is $8.50 plus tax. Your order comes with a small bag of fresh bean sprouts, basil, cut limes, and chopped green onion/cilantro. Plenty of Hoisin sauce and spicy chili sauce are also provided along with utensils. The broth is quite comforting. Garnished with thinly sliced white onions and not too salty, not very sweet. Many other pho spots around town are heavy on the salt and add so much sugar to "balance" it. After taking those home, I have had to water it down a bit. Pho Viet makes theirs just right. If I have extra broth, I save it to rewarm and sip in a mug. Saw they also have a wide menu to choose from for dry noodle bowls (vermicelli bowls), rice plates, rice/egg noodle soups, appetizers, and vegetable dishes. Not sure if the vegetable dishes are also vegan. I'd love to try out their sandwiches sometime. Wonder if they bake their own bread, too. The ambiance is nice. We ordered the rare steak pho, spring rolls, and fried dumplings. The spring roll lettuce tasted old (so did the sprouts on the side of the pho, very wilty). Maybe the most disappointing was that the pho broth was....warm? It wasn't hot and the broth wasn't as flavorful as I am used to with traditional pho. Other reviews have mentioned this as well. Felt the meat quality in the pho was also lacking despite the high prices for the soup. Portion size was good but there is definitely room for improvement. This used to be Noodle 21, and we would come here almost every week. Ever since it became Pho Viet, it just hasn't been the same. The food has changed, and our favorite dish, the Crispy Pan-Fried Noodles with Beef, was available once after they reopened, but the next time we came back they said they no longer had it. That was really disappointing. The restaurant itself has changed a little too. The last time we visited, the music was so loud it made it hard to enjoy the meal. Man I swung by here and just ordered me some beef pad Thai. Got a pretty big plate, didn't get to try the Pho but this sufficed. I threw some lime and sriracha and took a bite. You taste all sorts of flavors, along with the beer, was honestly really good, the peanuts add that little crunch to it. We really love us some Pho so we decided to give them a shot. The employees were friendly. Inside was well maintained. We ordered 2 # p4 and 1 combo pho, 1 beef Bahn mi, one pork Bahn mi, and 1 mango matcha drink. Unfortunately they didn't get the order right. So my husband and son were eating while I was waiting for around 10 to 15 minutes. Kinda awkward to say the least lol. Finally they came with the Bahn mi's so I could at least grub on half of the Sammy while hubby and son ate their pho. The Bahn mi's are pretty good. I was still waiting an additional 10 minutes for my pho to come out. While 4 people who came in after us were served. Which was not cool in our opinion. Finally got my pho about the time my hubby and son were done with there's. As I stated were big fans of pho. So we know what good pho is. This pho was just ok. The meats and noddles were good but the broth wasn't that good. I couldn't drink the broth I left it all behind as it was lacking the traditional beef and spices we're used to.
