Pretty good Thai food for IE area. If you're from the area or familiar you should know there's limited tasty options worth trying. This place is worth trying. The cocktails were tasty and presentable. Food is a decent size and shareable. However, I must say they lack ingredients like for curry it was really watery and plain, it didn't have veggies like I would get from other restaurants, there were some chicken pieces and a few tiny bits of potato. The crab fried rice and beef pad see eww didn't have that much protein but it's alright since there's equal veggies mixed in. Chicken wings were good but I would pass on the egg rolls, it was gritty and dry in my opinion. Mango sticky rice is not bad, your typical dessert like other places. The wait for bigger parties can take some time on weekend or peak time since it's a small restaurant. There's a few bigger tables all the way in the back of the restaurant. 20% gratuity is required for parties of 5 or more.

Food : ordered the fried chicken, pad see ew, fried rice, mango and sticky rice No complaints it was all delicious!! Service : wonderful. Got seated right away on a Saturday for dinner. Server gave us water immediately. Another server took our order was very sweet young man, another server came around to clear our table as to help out and she was sweet too . Atmosphere : the decor is great and I love the string lights, all the plants and the bar shelving setup was nice! I loved the open window of kitchen concept. Side I moved here to redlands a few years ago and have yet to find food we actually enjoy let alone staff THIS WELCOMING! We will be coming back and can't wait to try more off the menu.

You know it's good when you have no photos of the food. Visited here on a whim while traveling for work. Gabe at the bar was super nice when a table took a minute to come available but we were in no rush. I ordered the grilled pork and crab rice and have been back TWICE since, and ordered the same thing. Absolutely super delicious. I even went back to my hotel to pick up my leftovers for lunch when I forgot them- that's how good it is. Still wish they weren't out of egg rolls every time I go though!

This has got to be the saddest mango sticky rice I've ever tasted, read the reviews and seem good enough to drive 30 min to grab some.. not sure what happened but I have an idea .. we purchased 2 mango sticky rice and I asked if they would add extra of the milk and idk I'm thinking maybe because we didn't tip? First of all I didn't tip because I was paying with someone's card since they had to go to the restroom, 2nd and lastly we waited outside for a bit over 20 minute which was no problem so I just don't understand why they made it soooo dried! We payed $30 for 2 was not cheap at all, it's just such as sad experience!

Food and vibes were alll great!! We sat at the bar as it was very crowded even though they had just opened. Very friendly staff.

First time at Aroi Mak Mak and WOW! I was honestly blown away by the flavors and the atmosphere. From the moment we walked in, Kop and the entire team made us feel so welcomed. This place is just different in the most positive way. I've had Thai food before at regular sit-down spots with little to no vibe, but the atmosphere here truly elevates the whole experience. It creates the perfect setting for the food. The Pad Thai, crab fried rice, chicken wings, and the Ka Pow were all incredible, but the sauces... seriously, the sauces deserve their own shout-out! Every dish just hit perfectly. The drinks were amazing too, the Kinnari was fruity, tasty, and just perfect. Overall, a solid 10/10. I'll definitely be coming back

was awful. Rice was old and seemed like they used regular rice. Not good whatsoever for 15$. Was extremely disappointed.

One of my favorite Thai restaurants in the area. Their drinks are modern and fresh and food is delectable. I appreciate the thoughtfulness that goes behind each dish, highly recommend!

My mocktail was just right! I don't know what this is called but it was bright and citrus forward. Yum!!!

I really liked this spot, it's perfect for intimate dining given its lighting and vibe. I loved the decor and colorful walls. The staff were welcoming and friendly and started us with a delicious mocktail. We ordered our food: Po Pia (deep fried egg rolls), Ka Pow (sweet basil stir fry), and a Khao Soi, which is a very creamy noodle dish. The Khao soi is so savory! It's perfect to share and pairs well with steamed rice for balance (you can put the curry over rice). They have vegan options, too!

This. Place. Rocks. So. Super. Hard. The KHAO SOI (CURRY NOODLES)(V) OH MY GOR was so incredible and WOW the pickled veggies in it were truly so scrumptious! Easy parking, beautiful downtown, great company. One million metal tins of lime out of one million

Only the best Thai street food in town!

There are restaurants you eat at... and then there's Aroi Mak Mak...a flavor pilgrimage. It's Thai street food wrapped up in vintage wallpaper, vinyl wrapped tables and Thai amazingness. My hubby and I go for our date nights, family meetups, pre-partying, or random bar hangs -- this is OUR spot! Pro Tip: Call dibs on the tuk-tuk table -- under those neon lights, it feels like Bangkok meets Redlands. Let's talk food because HOLY SHMAOW. The Deep Fried Mushrooms? Life-changing. Crispy, golden, and soooooo addictive -- we order them EVERYSINGLETIME. The Garlic Fried Fish (Pla Tub Tim Rad Kratiam) is seriously the BEST FRIED FISH in town -- a fried branzino with a tangy sauce and some garlic magic crack. The Thai Omelette (Kai Jiao), Chicken Wings, and Larb Street Wraps all bring that same OMG flavor. And the drinks -- oh my god OMG, OMGGG, the drinks. Just go ahead and order them all...thank me later. The Tom Kha Tonic has officially become my favorite thing to sip while scarfing down spicy food, and the Bing Bao Juice? Pure tropical happiness in a glass. But the real mic drop comes at dessert: the Coconut Pandan Custard -- subtle, coconut-y, and completely transcendent. Make sure you ask your server about these at the start of your meal since they run out quickly!

Trendy Redlands Thai Spot! The vibe and service here are exceptional, the servers were all very sweet and the decorations and lighting all just fit very cute. Drinks were strong but tasted diverse and refreshing. Food was in the middle. My dish was the drunken noodle I believe with pork and it was exceptional, perfectly spicy and all ingredients cooked perfectly. My friend's dish was very mid, I cannot remember the name but the chicken was very bland it kinda just threw the whole meal off. Overall a great spot though and I see myself coming back for sure (:

    Pad Thai and papaya salad

Overall really cool vibed place. Has a bar as well for anyone who'd like a drink. The food is good. Papaya salad has a lot of fish sauce so for anyone who'd doesn't like fish sauce it might not be good. However, I really enjoyed it. The pad Thai was saucey and tomatoey which was delicious. The service here is !

It's a perfect place for a date or a night out with friends or family. The focal point of the main dining room is the bar, which faces the restaurant's entrance. Meticulously designed with a nostalgic feel, the bar features blonde wood shelves holding hundreds of vinyl records, carefully curated design objects, and a DJ booth neatly tucked into a corner next to the bar. The beer taps are elegantly minimalist, and every detail in the bar--for example, the old-fashioned glass syrup bottles--seems planned to give a nod to history (specifically the late 19th century, when Redlands was founded). The main dining room offers plenty of comfortable seating choices, including a long bar along the center of the room. The patio is spacious and well kept. All of the spaces inside and out have music piped in from the bar. There are two restrooms just off the patio, and these are well-maintained. On busy nights, patrons can enjoy a drink in a standing bar area just off the patio. I love that the Overland provides a choice of setting depending on the kind of night you're planning. A romantic date? Get a reservation to sit inside, and it feels intimate. Just hanging out? The bar is fun as the mixologists make excellent drinks and friendly conversation. Sitting at the bar after 7 PM, you can watch the DJs spin the platters. If you have a larger group or just like to eat alfresco, the patio is perfect. The menu offers a really nice variety of drinks, including the pricier craft cocktails, more classic, moderately priced beverages, nonalcoholic drinks, and all sorts of beer and wine. The food menu is solid, with plenty of appetizers, salads, entrées, and a dessert. The real star is the tacos! These are very moderately priced at seven dollars apiece, and all three varieties are delicious! There is a potato taco, a beef taco, and pork chili Verde taco. I highly recommend these! The green salsa they provide is extremely mild, but they do have a variety of hot sauces on hand. It's worth mentioning that even a humble plate of tacos is served on nice ceramic dishes, along with good flatware and napkins. The espresso martini cheesecake is creamy and delicious, and the portion is really generous. The staff seem to enjoy working at the Overland. The servers work hard to make sure your order is to your liking, and food comes out pretty fast. There's a good sense of teamwork among them. The staff is also accommodating about seating or any special requests. We've been there on a busy Friday night, and on a Sunday evening and late night. The Overland is always at least moderately busy, so reservations are strongly recommended. The city of Redlands should be very proud of this establishment. Go and have fun!

We made reservations for four, and as soon as we arrived, we were seated right away, which was a great start. Unfortunately, I noticed a few cleanliness issues almost immediately. The tables were pretty dusty, and the glass water cups we were given still had food residue on them. One even had what looked like a lipstick mark on the rim. I let our waitress know, and she apologized and quickly brought us new glasses. Those were still dirty as well, with (food residue) so I asked if she could replace them again. After the third attempt, the glasses finally came out spotless. It seemed like there may have been an issue with the dishwasher filter?, but I really appreciated how kind and apologetic our waitress was throughout the entire situation. The drinks were good overall. I ordered a couple of nonalcoholic drinks, and they were refreshing and flavorful. We also tried the cheese fries and the fried onion, and both were really tasty. Overall, I'd give this place a 6/10. The rough start with the cleanliness definitely affected the experience, but the service helped make up for it. The staff genuinely seemed to care about making things right, and that went a long way. I absolutely loved the vibe and the music, and I think this place has a lot of potential. I'd definitely be willing to give it another try because I think it could be a great spot for a fun night out.

We seated ourselves at our favorite raised table in the corner on the far side of the bar. My husband and I stuck to traditional cocktails, and old fashioned and a Negroni. Our friends chose signature cocktails: the Turbo Granny and the Electric Feel. Now the Electric Feel was not just a drink, it was an experience. Our server explained to our friend that he should sip a little of the drink, then chew the Szechuan buzz bud for about 15 seconds, letting it coat his whole tongue, then enjoy the rest of the drink which would taste different afterwards. Our friend went through all those steps and said it was incredible, like all the flavors were enhanced along with different sensations in his mouth, kind of numb and tingly. His wife was not satisfied with his description of the experience, so she bought a Szechuan buzz bud for $2 and she said it was kind of like pop rocks. These buzz bud looks just like a little flower bud like the end of a dandelion once the seeds are blown away. It comes from a plant. Totally fascinating! We enjoyed our one cocktail each here and just had great conversation. It was a fun night because of the company, and also because we had a little adventure going to two amazing places!

We decided on weekend brunch, especially since there were endless mimosas. Our kids have a recollection of being down the class umbrella alleyway, so they were amazed when they saw it. A short while later, we were in front of the restaurant and were quickly seated by the staff. They didn't ask if we preferred outdoor or indoor seating, but we were seated inside right next to the kitchen. We heard that indoor seating was better for service anyway. The interior of the restaurant was "very fancy," and my daughter thought we were in a date spot. We knew we wanted French fries and opted for the garlic Parmesan fries. At first, the kids were weirded out by the arugula, but my daughter ended up enjoying it, noting the bitter and salty notes. My son devoured the entire plate (not the arugula) and asked for another round. We also ordered the lemon ricotta French toast, made from Brioche bread, lemon blackberry butter, whipped lemon ricotta cream, blackberries, mint, and maple syrup. They perfected the crispy exterior, which contrasted well with the fluffy bread. My wife ordered the breakfast pizza--a focaccia pizza topped with marinara, ham, spinach, fresh tomato, red onion, a sunny-side-up egg, and herb-infused maple syrup. This was really delicious with the tart, fresh tomatoes, the salty ham, and the sweet maple syrup. I ended up eating the sunny-side egg by itself, so we didn't get to try the pizza with the egg. Lastly, I ordered the steak and eggs, but it was sadly a small portion. I ordered it medium rare, and it came out medium. The seasoning was a bit strange and would have been better with simple salt, pepper, and garlic. The mimomas really made my wife happy. She started feeling it pretty quickly. She chose the pineapple juice while I got the traditional orange. Not sure if the alcohol made the food better or the other way around. I was brought to reality when I saw the expensive bill, though.

Unfortunately, the experience didn't live up to the hype. Service was the main issue. The bartenders seemed inexperienced, and our server wasn't familiar with the drinks, often needing to check with someone else. It took about 20 minutes to receive our first round. Our reservation was at 10:30, we were seated until 10:40, and the place closes at midnight so timing already felt tight. Because of the wait, we asked to order two drinks at once for the next round, but were told it's limited to one at a time. That would be understandable if service were faster, but it took another 20 minutes to get the second drink. We were also told drinks from the regular menu take longer, so I tried one from the specialty menu...still a 20-minute wait. It was a frustrating experience. That said, the space itself is smaller and more intimate, which could make it a nice date spot. When we walked into this speakeasy, behind a movable shelf, I was greatly disappointed by the size of this place. It literally was the size of a walk in closet. Probably a fifth of the size of the one in Rancho. The room was so small and cramped. We sat at the round tables which was small for 2 people, and they were spaced so close to each other. Another couple sat next to us and we could here their entire conversation. The space is just so cramped. Maybe 6 round tables with barely a foot apart. Then the bar top basically when someone is sitting there, theres less then a foot of space to go inbetween. The decor is beautiful. I did enjoy the library theme. Service here is a disappointment. There was inly 2 groups (including ourselves) when we arrived and service was excessively slow. On their featured cocktails which was the same as the one in Rancho (6 drinks?), they were already out of the first 2. And mind you, they've only been open for 2 hours. We asked them to prepare unique off the menu drinks. They basically gave us drinks from the main restaurant menu. Rum for the hills and an old fashion. The bartender at the Rancho location is so much better and nicer and way more creative. Able to create unique individual drinks off the top of his head. Not here though. She asked us what we were ordering at least times. And she still got our orders (food) wrong. The glass was sticky from the sugars. We ordered no grilled onions on the burger and it came with grilled onions. She was so unsure of what they carried (alcohol wise) that she had to go ask the other guy on multiple occasions. When the bill came, we didnt get a pen to sign it with. So we went to the bar area. The guy was a total A-hole. He was like what do you want? Woah guy. We're trying to give you more of our hard earned money via tip and sign this check so we can get the heck out of here. Like chill bro. We should be there ones angry with how bad the evening went. Not you. There were multiple flies flying around our table and food. A large fly, and then a small gnat around our drink. It was gross. Overall, it was a terrible experience here. There was mystique (I give you that, love the books). But nothing high end or exclusive about it. Usage of the space and their knowledge of the drinks reminds me of a run down dive bar. They need the bartender from Rancho to come here and revamp everything about this place. The only good thing here is that we were able to order burgers (full menu availability) in this speakeasy as suppose to the one in Victoria Gardens. But besides that, I am 100% not coming back. It just isnt worth it.

I am a huge fan of open mic nights. I have found a few really good ones in the area and love…read moreattending them. I feel like a fangirl, hoping that my favourite performers will be there. I hope one day to see them on the stage so I can say, "I got to see them when they were small fries." The Vault hosts a lot of events, including musical open mic nights. I still prefer Writers Block's open mic night (the first Wednesday of every month). I am shocked that the event is free, with how talented the poets are. I have bought several books from one of the local poets (shout out to Winry Hagerty!!) who sells her work at the poetry event. The last time I went there were stickers from an artist, some leather works, books by poets for sale. The atmosphere at The Vault during Open Mic Night is vibrant and supportive. The audience is engaged and respectful, providing an encouraging environment for the performers to shine. It's worth noting that this event is not only entertaining but also affordable. It's free. If you're looking for an enjoyable and affordable evening filled with talent and creativity, make sure to check out The Vault's Open Mic Night.

I'm not going to be back, unless I am paid or compensated…read more I drove an whole ass hour out of town to play a FREE set at this bar, and make them money, and the asshole bartender TRENT thought that it was appropriate to not only wildly knock on the bathroom door as I was taking a shit from the drive, but to barge in on me and yell that I was "taking too long" and wildly accused me of using narcotics. I had been in there for literally 3 minutes at that point. And if I wanted to do that shit, my car was right outside. I tried to explain to him that I had just returned back inside from a smoke, but all he did was threaten to kick me out for literally NO FUCKING REASON. I am transgender, and while this used to be one of my favorite spots, I will never be returning. I have been made to feel unsafe and unwelcome at this bar and I regret the fact I spent money on beer just to calm my fucking nerves after the incident. If youre worried about people using the bathroom and taking their time, get more fucking bathrooms, and dont treat out of town talent like shit. Especially queer talent, if you're a so called "safe space"

The tom yum soup was delicious and I was glad I asked for tofu with it, it was a great soft tofu which I usually use in my soups at home. The papaya salad was great, it tasted nice and fresh & refreshing. The pad see ew with shrimp oh my goodness, that was a star for sure, the shrimps they use here are sooo good, so big and plump! What quality. The seafood pad kow, an absolute winner dish. The only thing I would've wished is that the dishes had more spice to them. But I enjoyed this place so much, I will definitely want to return next time in the area :) @emi_sklar

Also, a large event happened to be going on this evening so indoor seating wasn't available. I got the pad kee mao with tofu for $18. It was a good portion size; I was able to make 2 meals out of it! The noodles were cooked well, they gave a lot of tofu and good amount of veggies, and the heat was definitely there! Mu's staff were all very friendly and kept checking on our party! I think my meal was forgotten about because all of my friend's food came out in around 15-20 mins, where mine took closer to 25-30 and they had to keep telling me it'd be out soon. For the wait time, I would've normally given a 3 star, but because the servers were so kind and attentive, a 4.
