Cute downtown area with free public parking across the street. I had a little difficulty finding the restaurant as it is in a charming alley way with outside seating. Loved the warmly lite,eclectic, New Orleans feel? Interior. Large bar area and a more private intimate, quiet dining space. The menu was unique. I had a hard time deciding. I ended up ordering the beet & burrata (ok, a little bland) and breakfast pizza (uniquely savory and sweet). I look forward to my next visit to try different menu offerings. Overall the service 5, vibe 5, and food 4.
Part 2 of last night's date night was around the corner at Copehouse Bar. It had started raining, so we were grateful for the short walk to arrive. We seated ourselves at our favorite raised table in the corner on the far side of the bar. My husband and I stuck to traditional cocktails, and old fashioned and a Negroni. Our friends chose signature cocktails: the Turbo Granny and the Electric Feel. Now the Electric Feel was not just a drink, it was an experience. Our server explained to our friend that he should sip a little of the drink, then chew the Szechuan buzz bud for about 15 seconds, letting it coat his whole tongue, then enjoy the rest of the drink which would taste different afterwards. Our friend went through all those steps and said it was incredible, like all the flavors were enhanced along with different sensations in his mouth, kind of numb and tingly. His wife was not satisfied with his description of the experience, so she bought a Szechuan buzz bud for $2 and she said it was kind of like pop rocks. These buzz bud looks just like a little flower bud like the end of a dandelion once the seeds are blown away. It comes from a plant. Totally fascinating! We enjoyed our one cocktail each here and just had great conversation. It was a fun night because of the company, and also because we had a little adventure going to two amazing places!

We stumbled upon The Copehouse Bistro by accident and ended up being seated at the bar by the incredibly friendly and welcoming staff -- which honestly set the tone for the entire experience. The space is intimate, cozy, and thoughtfully designed, making it perfect for a date night or even a first date where you actually want to talk and enjoy the moment. We ordered a pizza along with a couple of cocktail drinks to kick off the evening, and everything hit the mark. The pizza was flavorful and well made, and the cocktails were balanced, creative, and clearly crafted with care. What really stood out was the atmosphere -- relaxed, warm, but still elevated. It's the kind of place where you can sit back, slow down, and genuinely enjoy your time without feeling rushed. If you're looking for a spot in Redlands to unwind, enjoy great drinks, and soak in a great vibe, The Copehouse Bistro is absolutely worth a visit

Speakeasy vibes and very relaxed. I love dim lighting and the ambiance is great. Friendly service! I lovedddd their take of the Cuban sandwich. Carnitas with shaved ham and delicious mustard with pickles and Swiss on sourdough. It was outstanding! The fries have tons of pepper on them but it was nice. I liked the chipotle aioli too. The old fashioneds are yummy and they made me a lovey mocktail! It was a great place to swing by and have a little date afternoon! We will be back again!!!
I found this place quite by accident. I was actually on my way to Batter Rebellion when I ran into one of the co-owners of both restaurants. When he talked about The differences in menu between the two I decided to give it a try. Copehouse has a great bar menu. I ordered the tuna tacos served on wonton taco shells. They were delicious! My dish was a little sweet, a little spicy and 100% awesome. It surprised me! I didn't expect to like tuna tacos. Our server was helpful. The restaurant is more of a bar with a few extra tables than a restaurant with a large dedicated dining area. I have to use a wheelchair. If I knocked of any points it would be for limited accessibility. The building is old some corners are tight. The restroom is less than ideal but I made it in and out nevertheless. The food was good the happy hour prices were a nice treat. I will eat here again.
A true gem of Redlands! The entrance is hidden, down the side street with cute colored umbrellas hanging overhead. My husband and I came across it unexpectedly and were so happy we picked it. The menu features upscale dishes and the environment inside is moody, perfect for date night or drinks with a small group of friends. For starters we got the Garlic Croquettes which were extremely rich and large (had to cut ourselves off so we didn't get too full). My husband also ordered the Electric Fell drink which is a fancy mojito with a bit of a twist. They recommend drinking some and then chewing on the Szechuan which activates your taste buds for a tingly feeling. Unique experience! For the main we had a Pork Shank dish which was totally to die for. The pork was extremely tender and fell right off the bone. I believe they rotate the items on their menu so I'm not sure if this is always available but it should be. By the time dessert rolled around we were too stuffed but still got a chocolate cake to go and enjoyed it heated up once we got home. Lastly, the waitress was very attentive to us all night and also gave us a heads up that the pork would take longer to make.
There's a lot to like here, but it's a bit uneven. We started with the Brussels sprouts and they were excellent--crispy, balanced, and easily the standout of the night. My wife's cocktail was also top notch. She ordered the risotto and that was another win--well executed and clearly something the kitchen has dialed in. My entrée (the mussels with chorizo and fennel) was the miss. It came out very salty, and I couldn't really detect the fennel that was listed on the menu. To their credit, they comped a beer, which was appreciated. Service was friendly. One small but real comfort note: there was an exposed bulb on a shelf at eye level that made our table uncomfortable enough that i had to move my seat to not have it in my eyes the entire evening. Probably an easy fix, but worth mentioning. Overall, there are some genuinely strong dishes here, and enough went right that we'll be back--just hoping for a bit more consistency across the board.
We just stopped by for a drink, but it was a very pleasant time. The vibes were great and so was the bartender. Loved it.
First time coming here for brunch. The lemon ricotta french toast was a standout! And the bacon was awesome. Love when restaurants use bacon that tastes like what you make at home versus that weird extra leathery stuff some places use. My friends loved the endless mimosas and the breakfast ciabatta sandwhich. I would like to come back and try the pancake. The only item that fell flat IMO was the lavender iced coffee. I realize this place isn't known for their coffee but even a nespresso machine could deliver a better coffee or latte for those of us appreciate a real coffee taste and caffeine hit. Overall that wouldn't stop me from coming back tho as the cocktail menu sounded great and the mimosas were good. Would just need to get coffee first elsewhere. Also the place runs pretty loud when you sit inside so heads up for that.
If you're looking for a spot with just the drinks you need and the food to pair, this is your place. We were seated at a cozy corner and our waitress let us know what drinks they had on deck. Super helpful! Trust me this place has what you need, from the list of cocktails to just a cold beer, they got it. But the food is where it's at! The pizza was packed with toppings and the right amount of cheese! The steak was perfect cooked and the fries (let's just say we ordered a second round, they were that good)!
Second time visiting. Wasn't too packed at first, but filled up as the night went on. We both ordered the steak and it was delicious! At one point, our last order of drinks took forever to come out, but it was one bartender and I'm sure everyone else was ordering drinks too. Our waitress was really sweet and it's has a cute ambiance to it. This time, we got seated in the main room, but it still felt very quaint.

We finally made it to Copehouse Bar & Bistro after living in SoCal for some time. It was Memorial Day weekend, and we decided to try local spots. We decided on weekend brunch, especially since there were endless mimosas. Our kids have a recollection of being down the class umbrella alleyway, so they were amazed when they saw it. A short while later, we were in front of the restaurant and were quickly seated by the staff. They didn't ask if we preferred outdoor or indoor seating, but we were seated inside right next to the kitchen. We heard that indoor seating was better for service anyway. The interior of the restaurant was "very fancy," and my daughter thought we were in a date spot. We knew we wanted French fries and opted for the garlic Parmesan fries. At first, the kids were weirded out by the arugula, but my daughter ended up enjoying it, noting the bitter and salty notes. My son devoured the entire plate (not the arugula) and asked for another round. We also ordered the lemon ricotta French toast, made from Brioche bread, lemon blackberry butter, whipped lemon ricotta cream, blackberries, mint, and maple syrup. They perfected the crispy exterior, which contrasted well with the fluffy bread. My wife ordered the breakfast pizza--a focaccia pizza topped with marinara, ham, spinach, fresh tomato, red onion, a sunny-side-up egg, and herb-infused maple syrup. This was really delicious with the tart, fresh tomatoes, the salty ham, and the sweet maple syrup. I ended up eating the sunny-side egg by itself, so we didn't get to try the pizza with the egg. Lastly, I ordered the steak and eggs, but it was sadly a small portion. I ordered it medium rare, and it came out medium. The seasoning was a bit strange and would have been better with simple salt, pepper, and garlic. The mimomas really made my wife happy. She started feeling it pretty quickly. She chose the pineapple juice while I got the traditional orange. Not sure if the alcohol made the food better or the other way around. I was brought to reality when I saw the expensive bill, though. read more

It was my first time here. I selected this restaurant for the location, the beautiful colored umbrellas makes a cute backdrop and I needed a place that accepted dogs. We had a table of 4, and my dog for his birthday. They were able to refrigerate his cake till we were ready. The server was very attentive. Unfortunately the food was just mid. Before we arrived my friend attempted to reserve a table through open table and was unable to find the bar. I want to mention,this place is one my favorite bars in Redlands. Especially because there are no TVs and they play great music. I usually come here often but I've been busy. I haven't been here in 2 or 3 months. We'll tonight was my 1st night back and we arrived and was approached by Darren. She greeted us and said inside was for reservations only and we can be seated outside. It was cold this evening so we declined. The bar was empty mind you and seats at the bar were available but she did not offer that to us. She just walked away. 2 mins later we were greeted by another gentleman who was able to seat us a table for 2 and he also informed me that seating at the bar was available as well. Very strange. We continued our night the bar was still empty pretty much until 45 mins into our dinner. So I am not sure if they're hosting ghosts here? Or what reservations were they waiting on but the original service was not usual service I've received. Everything else for reminder of the night was great. Pesto pizza was amazing and the crust was cooked to perfection. I also had watermelon Paloma and it was delicious. I understand reservations are priority but if someone comes and sits us less than 5 mins later is strange. And I thought if someone is late more than certain time frame their reservations gets canceled. Maybe this is new system but the experience was strange. read more

Wow! What a lousy response from this restaurant . They could've apologized. They could've tried to make it right they could've offered for us to come back in, but no that would be taking responsibility instead they tell us, they don't deserve my one star review? They've never been open in eight years? Why would I know that? Why would I know that you've never been open in eight years and why would you treat your possible customer so bad? I will never come to your place! I belong to a lot of networking groups and I will make sure that to tell them to never come as well. Thank you for your lack of sensitivity and your lack of concern for our experience with your restaurant. Any company that does not take responsibility and just blames everybody else ultimately has a lot to learn about being in business and keeping client tell. By the way, you have the same problem on Google and I'm not the only person who wrote a bad review there. Original review We booked a reservation for this restaurant for Christmas Christmas Day at 5 PM. Arrived to the restaurant and they were closed. We were left trying to find a place that not only was open but still had a reservation. So incredibly frustrating. If you're going to use social media, yelp, Google maps, etc. you need to make sure to turn off your reservation systems when you're closed. You really screwed up our Christmas! Now today, their message system is inviting us to secure another reservation. Are you kidding me? I've never been to your restaurant before, and I will tell you this experience has left me never wanting to go there again. read more

Great stop for a good eats, drinks & desserts. The entryway is right off the alley with patio seating. Inside does have the speakeasy vibes going with lighting easy on the eyes. Wonderful welcome and great service through our stay. Great mixologists. Nice menu options for any taste. Bar height seating or low top tables with extra seating towards the back room for a semi private space for large group. Parking available a block away along the downtown area or parking structures nearby. read more
The salty sesame seaweed snake. That's the drink I made. Loved it when I got it as my spirit animal. Returned recently and the bar apologized and told me they lost the recipe. Despite that, they were still able to recreate something very similar. The mixologist here is generally very skilled. Overall, great place for drinks. Chorizo fennel mussels. I've ordered this item 3 times now. First time, it tasted old/spoiled, but they were willing to take it off my bill. Second time, delicious. Perfect. Third time? Tasted like it was old again. I didn't have the heart to complain. But my conclusion is that this item is hit or miss. Amazing when fresh, but you just never know when it is. Ribeye steak is pretty good. Big enough for two, imo. I like this place for the decor and vibes. It's super cute. One of the downtown Redlands gems for sure. read more
Loved it, they accommodated for gluten free. The hubs was a little disappointed that the Barramundi wasn't available, it was on the website menu, but not on the menu when we went. It's a cute place and friendly servers and the drinks were out of this world! We plan on going again maybe for brunch read more

Located in the heart of the Orange Street Alley. You're greeted by the hostess outside who then seats you. The interior is cozy with a large part and then smaller sized tables around it. There are a couple large tables that are suitable for groups, one being the back room area. It's a loungey, somewhat dive bar, ecentric aesthetic. The ceiling was covered with christmas ornaments and lights bringing that holiday vibe. I was obsessed with the fringe chandeliers throughout the space! I want one of those in my future house. Cocktails are expertly crafted - $14 super fun to watch the bartenders go at it and he seemed very skilled. I tried the Wakey Wakey which was a breakfast cocktail. It tasted like a strong old fashioned but like fat-washed? The garnish was a nice-sized piece of bacon. They give you a shooter of fresh OG so you take a swig of the drink and sip on the OG to complete the experience. Tulip wings -$14 - came with 10 mini wings. Easy to eat with the meet pulled up on top and they are quite adorable. We got the buffalo flavor with a side of ranch. The buffalo is heavy on the vinegar. Our lips were def puckering up after a few bites. The ranch was 100% needed to cut that sourness. I would consider trying a different flavor next time. Main we chose the Ribeye steak $42 - which was a good size, shareable for 2 people. It was cooked medium/medium rare but was still pretty tender. We chose the seasonal vegetables for the side which was sauteed broccolini which we really liked. The spread also came with 3 different butters which was very enticing. In this rendition the butters were Italian, Dill Shallot, and Red Wine Thyme. Our favorite was hands down the dill shallot. Would recommend this spot! read more

This restaurant blew us away! It's located in the umbrella alley so a little tucked away but it's so cute. Very decorated with a dim ambiance so it was perfect for date night! The food was fantastic!! The bread was so soft, slightly sweet. Chicken piccata was perfectly sour, a little creamier than normal. The rib eye steak was the best steak my Fiancé has ever had, second only to the one I had in Soho London. Their flavored pesto and tomato butters complimented perfectly. Only thing was the fries were just okay they're not actually shoestring thin and didn't have much flavor. Their signature cocktail was fun - it tasted good on its own, though I wasn't a fan of the sichuan buzz buzz ball bc I don't like the feeling of my mouth numb but at least it wasn't spicy and it was an interesting experience. Service was great. BILT members - we found this restaurant on their rewards page but they don't actually offer a mobile QR code on the receipt/didn't know what it was so you do NOT actually get to use your $25 credit which was really unfortunate. However still a delicious meal! read more

A hidden gem for sure. The vibes first walking in is very intimate and cozy, great ambiance for a date night or hanging with friends. Great staff that were so sweet & welcoming. You can tell they all enjoy working there. The drinks were refreshing and perfectly balanced (we got the lychee margarita and fever dream) They also gave us shots on the house which was a nice touch. We got the tuna tostada to start then shared the mushroom risotto and chorizo fennel mussels. All were so delicious, filling, and perfectly seasoned. First I want to start off with I love the food here, the steak board is just always cooked to my perfection. Literally the reason I come here, the fries are always crispy as I like them, the drinks are to My liking as well, sweet and strong, the shots we was offered tonight were just on point! The only downside is the service at least tonight it was until Ben showed up! We walked in and were seated and told our waiter would attend to us, we waited I can say like an hour or so for anyone to acknowledge us at all. The girl who sat us never went to ask if we needed anything and the other employee would just walk right by us not even turning his head to look at us, as if they pick and choose who they attend. Everyone would just walk in and out and it was like we wasn't even there, kinda disappointing, and then Ben showed up and asked what we wanted to drink, which I did express to him how we had been waiting there forever and if he was going to take our order because I know he's usually behind the bar. Which he did, he checked on us here and there and was just overall amazing as our server, and honestly I give it two stars one for Ben and one for the food. But as someone who has worked in food/customer service for sure some employees need more training in the key elements in good food/customer service overall for the clients to have an overall good positive experience overall. read more

Honestly every time I've been there it's been both but a great experience, they are pretty accommodating even when busy. Staff are extremely patient and helpful and the food has been nothing but worth the price. I've tried a lot on the menu and everything has been great! read more
We stopped here for a drink and quick bite. The Old Fashion was pretty good but could use a little more bourbon. the Blueberry and Banana drinks were great and a must try. The burger was also good. What stood out here was really the service. Although the inside is a little dark with low lightening you were not forgotten. Every employee that passed by us asked if we needed anything else. Again great to feel like you're seen no matter how busy it gets in a restaurant. read more

The drinks and food were excellent. We had the chicken Cesar salad and the ribeye steak. The bread with butter candle was sooo tasty too. Service was great. Copehouse has such a cute speakeasy vibe with added bonus of good music. Very reasonably priced. read more
This place is beautiful for date night or double date. If you're into dark decor & a speakeasy type of vibe you'll love this place. They have seating outside too which us very imitate too. We went during happy hour. The food, drinks, and prices were good. I had the brussel sprouts which had a sweet sauce & sesame seeds on it. The burger was ok. I forgot the name of it but it had onion rings & bacon on it. We asked for the meat to be cooked medium but it was over cooked and somewhat dry. There was no sauce on the burgers either. The fries were delicious. The staff were friendly and we were seated quickly. Our waitress kept forgetting to bring us things we asked for. We were having a date so there was no rush. Overall I really like this place and want to give it another try even though the burgers weren't great. We'll try something else. read more

Love this place. I have been here 4 times in a span of 6 months.All hits, no misses so far. There's a smoked salmon dish and white chocolate toast dish I didn't capture. The toast is VERY sweet perfect for sweet lovers. I prefer the toast with chicken. It's a sweet and savoury balance. The chicken pesto was amazing. Focaccia bread is the best for sandwiches. Bottomless is available Tuesday-Sunday! They're closed on Mondays. It's such a great deal, best Bottomless price in town!

I don't believe they advertise that they're not, but I have never seen a kid there when I've gone. The ambience is geared more for adults.
