OMG! The food is absolutely amazing. We got The Alley Pesto Pizza, Artichoke Dip, and the Fish Tacos. All great but the pizza was the best. Love the atmosphere. Has speakeasy vibe with cool music. Service was fantastic. Thank you for taking such good care of us Ariana. ‍

Fry trio. The chipotle aioli was great

Speakeasy vibes and very relaxed. I love dim lighting and the ambiance is great. Friendly service! I lovedddd their take of the Cuban sandwich. Carnitas with shaved ham and delicious mustard with pickles and Swiss on sourdough. It was outstanding! The fries have tons of pepper on them but it was nice. I liked the chipotle aioli too. The old fashioneds are yummy and they made me a lovey mocktail! It was a great place to swing by and have a little date afternoon! We will be back again!!!

Honestly one of the best hidden gems in Redlands. We stumbled upon The Copehouse Bistro by accident and ended up being seated at the bar by the incredibly friendly and welcoming staff -- which honestly set the tone for the entire experience. The space is intimate, cozy, and thoughtfully designed, making it perfect for a date night or even a first date where you actually want to talk and enjoy the moment. We ordered a pizza along with a couple of cocktail drinks to kick off the evening, and everything hit the mark. The pizza was flavorful and well made, and the cocktails were balanced, creative, and clearly crafted with care. What really stood out was the atmosphere -- relaxed, warm, but still elevated. It's the kind of place where you can sit back, slow down, and genuinely enjoy your time without feeling rushed. If you're looking for a spot in Redlands to unwind, enjoy great drinks, and soak in a great vibe, The Copehouse Bistro is absolutely worth a visit

Darrien is a great server, I got to try the food and all was delicious! Fun atmosphere.

    Happy hour menu

I found this place quite by accident. I was actually on my way to Batter Rebellion when I ran into one of the co-owners of both restaurants. When he talked about The differences in menu between the two I decided to give it a try. Copehouse has a great bar menu. I ordered the tuna tacos served on wonton taco shells. They were delicious! My dish was a little sweet, a little spicy and 100% awesome. It surprised me! I didn't expect to like tuna tacos. Our server was helpful. The restaurant is more of a bar with a few extra tables than a restaurant with a large dedicated dining area. I have to use a wheelchair. If I knocked of any points it would be for limited accessibility. The building is old some corners are tight. The restroom is less than ideal but I made it in and out nevertheless. The food was good the happy hour prices were a nice treat. I will eat here again.

A true gem of Redlands! The entrance is hidden, down the side street with cute colored umbrellas hanging overhead. My husband and I came across it unexpectedly and were so happy we picked it. The menu features upscale dishes and the environment inside is moody, perfect for date night or drinks with a small group of friends. For starters we got the Garlic Croquettes which were extremely rich and large (had to cut ourselves off so we didn't get too full). My husband also ordered the Electric Fell drink which is a fancy mojito with a bit of a twist. They recommend drinking some and then chewing on the Szechuan which activates your taste buds for a tingly feeling. Unique experience! For the main we had a Pork Shank dish which was totally to die for. The pork was extremely tender and fell right off the bone. I believe they rotate the items on their menu so I'm not sure if this is always available but it should be. By the time dessert rolled around we were too stuffed but still got a chocolate cake to go and enjoyed it heated up once we got home. Lastly, the waitress was very attentive to us all night and also gave us a heads up that the pork would take longer to make.

We just stopped by for a drink, but it was a very pleasant time. The vibes were great and so was the bartender. Loved it.

Lemon ricotta berry French toast and side of bacon
    Kristen S.

First time coming here for brunch. The lemon ricotta french toast was a standout! And the bacon was awesome. Love when restaurants use bacon that tastes like what you make at home versus that weird extra leathery stuff some places use. My friends loved the endless mimosas and the breakfast ciabatta sandwhich. I would like to come back and try the pancake. The only item that fell flat IMO was the lavender iced coffee. I realize this place isn't known for their coffee but even a nespresso machine could deliver a better coffee or latte for those of us appreciate a real coffee taste and caffeine hit. Overall that wouldn't stop me from coming back tho as the cocktail menu sounded great and the mimosas were good. Would just need to get coffee first elsewhere. Also the place runs pretty loud when you sit inside so heads up for that.

If you're looking for a spot with just the drinks you need and the food to pair, this is your place. We were seated at a cozy corner and our waitress let us know what drinks they had on deck. Super helpful! Trust me this place has what you need, from the list of cocktails to just a cold beer, they got it. But the food is where it's at! The pizza was packed with toppings and the right amount of cheese! The steak was perfect cooked and the fries (let's just say we ordered a second round, they were that good)!

    Rachel H.

Second time visiting. Wasn't too packed at first, but filled up as the night went on. We both ordered the steak and it was delicious! At one point, our last order of drinks took forever to come out, but it was one bartender and I'm sure everyone else was ordering drinks too. Our waitress was really sweet and it's has a cute ambiance to it. This time, we got seated in the main room, but it still felt very quaint.

Before we arrived my friend attempted to reserve a table through open table and was unable to find the bar. I want to mention, this place is one my favorite bars in Redlands. Especially because there are no TVs and they play great music. I usually come here often but I've been busy. I haven't been here in 2 or 3 months. We'll tonight was my 1st night back and we arrived and was approached by Darren. She greeted us and said inside was for reservations only and we can be seated outside. It was cold this evening so we declined. The bar was empty mind you and seats at the bar were available but she did not offer that to us. She just walked away. 2 mins later we were greeted by another gentleman who was able to seat us a table for 2 and he also informed me that seating at the bar was available as well. Very strange. We continued our night the bar was still empty pretty much until 45 mins into our dinner. So I am not sure if they're hosting ghosts here? Or what reservations were they waiting on but the original service was not usual service I've received. Everything else for reminder of the night was great. Pesto pizza was amazing and the crust was cooked to perfection. I also had watermelon Paloma and it was delicious. I understand reservations are priority but if someone comes and sits us less than 5 mins later is strange. And I thought if someone is late more than certain time frame their reservations gets canceled. Maybe this is new system but the experience was strange.

Wow! What a lousy response from this restaurant . They could've apologized. They could've tried to make it right they could've offered for us to come back in, but no that would be taking responsibility instead they tell us, they don't deserve my one star review? They've never been open in eight years? Why would I know that? Why would I know that you've never been open in eight years and why would you treat your possible customer so bad? I will never come to your place! I belong to a lot of networking groups and I will make sure that to tell them to never come as well. Thank you for your lack of sensitivity and your lack of concern for our experience with your restaurant. Any company that does not take responsibility and just blames everybody else ultimately has a lot to learn about being in business and keeping client tell. By the way, you have the same problem on Google and I'm not the only person who wrote a bad review there. Original review We booked a reservation for this restaurant for Christmas Christmas Day at 5 PM. Arrived to the restaurant and they were closed. We were left trying to find a place that not only was open but still had a reservation. So incredibly frustrating. If you're going to use social media, yelp, Google maps, etc. you need to make sure to turn off your reservation systems when you're closed. You really screwed up our Christmas! Now today, their message system is inviting us to secure another reservation. Are you kidding me? I've never been to your restaurant before, and I will tell you this experience has left me never wanting to go there again.

If someone felt they were treated rudely by a waitress, that doesn't mean everyone that walks in will be treated the same way by that or any member of the staff. Yet here I am writing one of those reviews, because the complete lack of management was appalling. And I had no real interpersonal issue with anybody, so what happened to me could happen to you. We invited a neighbor out to the fun new place in town called THE OVERLAND -- that we'd been dying to try. We tried to get reservations early Friday because it was a Friday night. But their website appeared broken. When you clicked MAKE RESERVATIONS, nothing happened. We even called but got no call backs. We show up at 6PM and get THE BIG SIGH. "Yeah, umm... SIGH... we're having a big party on the patio and our reservations are booked for the night... SIGH." I'm highlighting the SIGHS because the staff isn't supposed to SIGH at us at how hectic their life is. It's OUR place to SIGH at the staff for failing to properly warn us the place was already booked for the night. So they sit us at a long high top where you're kind of sharing your table with 12 other people. Luckily a sweet patron volunteered to move so that we could sit across from our neighbor and create the illusion of an actual table. Soon the attentive staff did show up to take a drink order, but with a SIGH and a grimace our wait person then broke the news that because of the large party out on the patio -- there would be no food for at least an hour. We should have been told that at the door, right? As to not raise a fuss we ordered drinks and they were pretty good. The music was nice. The thing is -- -- restaurants that have an artsy fancy hipster "vibe" twist pride themselves on not being chain restaurants. I celebrate that and I get that. But with this territory often comes this odd feeling that they have no clue how to run a restaurant. "We're trying our best" with a SIGH doesn't cut it after being in business more than a few months. All 'soft openings' must come to end, people. Some Pro Tips -- 1. If your website cannot take any additional reservations, it should indicate as much. To us, it simply appeared broken. You've been open for three years and this isn't fixed YET? 2. At the door, we needed to be told there's a big function and it might be better to come back another night. Or, even more professional -- 3. -- either close the entire restaurant for a 'Private Function' or 4. -- have additional kitchen staff ready to handle both the restaurant AND the large party. Sorry folks, but you made one lousy first impression. I'm at a loss to understand why there should be a second.

Unfortunately, the experience didn't live up to the hype. Service was the main issue. The bartenders seemed inexperienced, and our server wasn't familiar with the drinks, often needing to check with someone else. It took about 20 minutes to receive our first round. Our reservation was at 10:30, we were seated until 10:40, and the place closes at midnight so timing already felt tight. Because of the wait, we asked to order two drinks at once for the next round, but were told it's limited to one at a time. That would be understandable if service were faster, but it took another 20 minutes to get the second drink. We were also told drinks from the regular menu take longer, so I tried one from the specialty menu...still a 20-minute wait. It was a frustrating experience. The restaurant is beautifully designed with warm, inviting lighting that makes the entire space feel elevated yet cozy at the same time. Super clean, stylish interior, and the kind of atmosphere that makes you want to stay for "just one more thing." Our first visit was spontaneous. We stopped in for a quick birthday lunch and sat at the bar, and after that first bite, we already knew we'd be back. We started with the meatballs, fried mozzarella, and bruschetta, and every single dish was a 10/10. The meatballs were tender and packed with flavor, but the sauce deserves its own moment. Savory, rich, and deeply comforting without being too heavy. The fried mozzarella was lightly crisped to perfection, not overly breaded or greasy, and paired with a marinara sauce that tasted fresh, balanced, and full of flavor. But the bruschetta? That absolutely stole the show. Fresh, vibrant, perfectly seasoned, and layered on crisp bread that held everything together beautifully. Easily one of the best bruschettas we've had. By the second visit, we came hungry and ready for pasta. The warm bread arrived first and immediately set the tone. Soft, flavorful, fresh, and impossible not to keep reaching for. We ordered the Penne Al Gorgonzola and the Penne Vodka al Fungi. If you're a cheese lover, the Penne Al Gorgonzola is your dream dish. Bold, creamy, unapologetically cheese-forward, with pine nuts adding the perfect subtle texture and balance to round everything out. But the Penne Vodka al Fungi? Absolutely unforgettable. That sauce was silky, rich, flavorful, and honestly one of those dishes that makes you pause mid-bite because it's that good. Easily our favorite of the night. We also shared the chopped antipasto salad, which paired perfectly with the bread and pastas. The Italian dressing was light, fresh, and complemented the ingredients without overpowering them. The service both visits was amazing. We sat at the bar each time and were taken care of by attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable staff who made the experience feel welcoming from start to finish. Madri's absolutely delivers on ambiance, service, and authentic Italian comfort food. We're already looking forward to our next visit because there are still so many dishes we want to try.

The wall of TVs above the bar unfortunately do break the ambiance to some extent, but they're easy to ignore. I have now added Madri to my short list of downtown Redlands go-to restaurants!

This place is just different in the most positive way. I've had Thai food before at regular sit-down spots with little to no vibe, but the atmosphere here truly elevates the whole experience. It creates the perfect setting for the food. The Pad Thai, crab fried rice, chicken wings, and the Ka Pow were all incredible, but the sauces... seriously, the sauces deserve their own shout-out! Every dish just hit perfectly. The drinks were amazing too, the Kinnari was fruity, tasty, and just perfect. Overall, a solid 10/10. I'll definitely be coming back

The cocktails were tasty and presentable. Food is a decent size and shareable. However, I must say they lack ingredients like for curry it was really watery and plain, it didn't have veggies like I would get from other restaurants, there were some chicken pieces and a few tiny bits of potato. The crab fried rice and beef pad see eww didn't have that much protein but it's alright since there's equal veggies mixed in. Chicken wings were good but I would pass on the egg rolls, it was gritty and dry in my opinion. Mango sticky rice is not bad, your typical dessert like other places. The wait for bigger parties can take some time on weekend or peak time since it's a small restaurant. There's a few bigger tables all the way in the back of the restaurant. 20% gratuity is required for parties of 5 or more.

I was there with my family and all the TVs were on different sports everything from hockey to Bull Riding and some MMA fights. My family and I are all practicing martial artists. I've been training 25+ years so naturally the sport we were interested in were the fights. One by one each TV that had the fights was changed to hockey. I asked my server about it and could he change one of the smaller TVs that I could see back to the fight. He left, came back and was told by his manager this was a family establishment. I'm not one to make a scene so I finished my meal, tipped my sever well as I do when they deserve it and I left a review stating my grievance on the tablet at the table as I paid my bill. The idea of it's a family establishment is bogus. I'm literally there with my family and every one of us trains BJJ and I myself train BJJ and judo and have had multiple professional fights in my younger years. My kids know this, and sometimes pull me up on YouTube to watch "Daddy fight" there's nothing virtuous about excluding one family because the unrealistic idea that another family might be offended. I was very disappointed and will not be back because I am a man of principle. I guess me and my family are just barbarians how dare we enjoy pugilistic contest. I spent a significant portion of my hard earned money to take my family there. Gas is $6 a gallon and everything is expensive, finneys needs to appreciate every customer that spends their hard earned money in their establishment. I will not be back. There are plenty of other places in town.
