Went here for a birthday dinner with friends. We ordered a finneys and bbq burger with fries and a kids meal with sweet potato fries. The bbq was very good and flavorful the finneys burger was pretty average and not super filling but the burger was cooked super well. We loved the sweet potatoes as well! They were also super helpful when we told them we had allergies and doubled checked with us about potential allergens. This is a kid friendly place and nice and cool inside for the summers! They even have a small little game room.

The food is consistent, not anything to rave about, but good enough to return. The service is always awesome, the refills are plentiful on tea & sodas. The atmosphere is nice, pretty loud but not unbearable. Restrooms are clean, and the menu selection is nice. We usually try and support only local businesses but we do frequent Finney's fairly often. It's a fun spot & would recommend.

First visit to Finneys . Good location, lots of parking. The inside is spacious with TVs on every wall to catch your favorite games. Table and booths available inside as well as on the patio. Three of us in our party were seated for lunch right away. Our servers were Marc and a lovely girl who's name i think was Jezebel. Jezebel was very friendly and polite. Our dishes were steak fajitas, Mediterranean salad with steak and a poke bowl. Each dish was prepared and served with quality and served with sauces and dressings on the side. I had the poke bowl. As a fan of Hawaiian poke for 20 years , I have become quite critical of poke dishes. I can say as a poke expert, the poke bowl is as good as they come. (For reference, I enjoy poke from foodland when in Hawaii) If I returned to this restaurant. I will get this or the seared ahi salad. Nice job Finneys

Great ambiance, patio or inside keeps you cool and relaxing while enjoying your meal . Also includes a small size game room with pin ball machine . And games.

My kids and I stopped by Finney's after leaving the library. This was my third visit, my daughter's second, and my son's 1st, and he picked the spot. No wait when we arrived, which my tired self appreciated. The vibe was lively but still family‑friendly. We started with the lobster roll and fried pickle fries. The lobster rolls were fine, but the pickle fries tasted like overworked oil and were definitely overcooked. I've had fried pickles elsewhere that I still think about. These... not so much. For entrées, we ordered a smash burger, blackened shrimp fajitas, and a grilled chicken club. The chicken club was solid. The smash burger had A1 sauce my son wasn't expecting, but once they remade it, he said it was decent. The fajitas were the real miss... no beans or rice sides, overcooked veggies, and seasoning so hot it didn't balance with anything. Back they went, and my daughter settled for a Caesar salad. After three visits, I think it's safe to say Finney's just isn't my restaurant. The menu feels limited, and the food has been hit‑or‑miss each time. No shade, it's simply not my lane. The service, though, was great. Our server was kind, patient, and attentive. The experience wasn't bad, but I won't be rushing back.

We went a couple of weeks ago for the annual New England West gals holiday brunch. Nice location, service was attentive... at times but this is a very busy place. The hit for us were the Deviled Eggs. Great oversized booths, perfect for those parties of 6. Respectfully Reviewed.

Finney's is located in such a prime location in downtown Redlands. The place is huge and as I walked in, I thought I saw a "game room" sign. Although I didn't venture to that side of the restaurant, I definitely love a place with a fun communal activity. The service was great and overall vibe of the place was lively. The food was honestly just ok. My friends got burgers, fries and coconut shrimp which the said was delicious. I got the prosciutto and arugula pizza. Not the best pizza I've ever had but still enjoyable. Honestly I think what would've made it outstanding is if the arugula was fresh on top of the pizza, instead of cooked because it wilted the herb. All in all, good place and I'd probably be back.

While in the Redlands area, I decided to grab lunch. Finney's opened their 10th location in the inland Empire, so I decided to give it a try. The atmosphere was nice and I was able to secure a seat outside. Oy, I was not a fan of their misters and ended up moving tables. My waiter was nice and cordial. Because it was my first time at this restaurant, I asked him what he recommended and he said the buffalo cauliflower and onion rings. Not a lover of hot sauce, so was very hesitant on the buffalo cauliflower. He said if I didn't like it, he would be glad to take it off and bring me something else. The presentation was nice, however I was definitely NOT a fan of the yuzu sauce and blue cheese combo. Definitely not eaten. Moving on. After reading the reviews regarding their appetizers, I had high hopes for the onion rings. The onion rings were just OK, IMO. I've definitely had fatter, meatier (if you will) onion rings with a crispier crust. I traded the buffalo cauliflower for the mini cheeseburger sliders. I was stunned when my waiter said it was ground up brisket. Who grinds up brisket? That should have alerted me! Nonetheless, I said bring them out. They were about an inch thick and so greasy I could only eat one. Will I return? Very debatable.

This place was ok but I would definitely not recommend anyone go out of their way to come here. Service was alright. Very nice but a little slow. This was a Saturday at 2pm. There was no wait but all of our food came out at different times. Some of the people in my party got multiple dishes to share but half their order was on the table going cold while we waited for the other half. For example, we got the sandwich but not the side of fries. The food was very average. I got a Caesar Salad and I added Salmon to it. The Salmon smelled so fishy that multiple people at the table who do not like fish were disgusted. I go to many restaurants where I order fish and it has been a long time since I smelled fish so strongly. This was most likely not fresh. Also it was overcooked. I will say that their wings were great and drink options are great as well. Aside from that, I would say you could skip this place. Copehouse is nearby. Escape brewery is good as well. JW Riley distillery would also be a great alternative.

Great menu! Excellent service with a brew pub inside an old bank, vault included. We sat on the patio garnering 3 tables for our group. One couple is a regular the rest were newbys. Appetizers of ahi poke, wings, salads and pepperoni pizza. I had the smash burger with double patties. Really moist and juicy for a thin, thin patty. I could have done a triple. Great selection of beers as you might imagine. Good confident menu guidance was also a key to overall experience. The billing was seamless as we were able to break down our bills in any manner we needed. Makes it easy to bring your group.

I came in for lunch and had a great experience. Overall, the restaurant has a nice vibe, not too busy during the day, but I can imagine it gets pretty packed at night. The food was solid. The wings were definitely the highlight perfectly cooked and flavorful. Definitely recommend those if you're a wing lover the poke nachos were also really good. They had a lot of fresh ingredients. I felt like they were missing a little something maybe a bit of spicy mayo for a punch of flavor still enjoyable. The chipotle chicken sandwich was tasty a bit on the dry side, not a dealbreaker on the flipside, The fried pickles were amazing crispy and tangy all in all a great lunch spot. Will return.

The food I chose was great (I only did appetizers) so I chose the coconut shrimp and buffalo wings. I loved them. The drinks were ok. Cute but just ok. I ordered the margarita flight and it just tasted like I was drinking aqua Fresca. But I loved the whole establishment. Will def go back and maybe try other foods and drinks! Our waitress was great too. She made sure to come back a few times to check on us.

Loved the ambiance and atmosphere. Great service. Came here with my husband and sat at the bar since it was a 45 min wait for a table. We ordered some tacos and deviled eggs as an appetizer. Loved their drinks; I ordered their kettle greyhound (delish)my husband ordered their beer flights and he said he loved it. Would definitely come back again to try other food.

It's a perfect place for a date or a night out with friends or family. The focal point of the main dining room is the bar, which faces the restaurant's entrance. Meticulously designed with a nostalgic feel, the bar features blonde wood shelves holding hundreds of vinyl records, carefully curated design objects, and a DJ booth neatly tucked into a corner next to the bar. The beer taps are elegantly minimalist, and every detail in the bar--for example, the old-fashioned glass syrup bottles--seems planned to give a nod to history (specifically the late 19th century, when Redlands was founded). The main dining room offers plenty of comfortable seating choices, including a long bar along the center of the room. The patio is spacious and well kept. All of the spaces inside and out have music piped in from the bar. There are two restrooms just off the patio, and these are well-maintained. On busy nights, patrons can enjoy a drink in a standing bar area just off the patio. I love that the Overland provides a choice of setting depending on the kind of night you're planning. A romantic date? Get a reservation to sit inside, and it feels intimate. Just hanging out? The bar is fun as the mixologists make excellent drinks and friendly conversation. Sitting at the bar after 7 PM, you can watch the DJs spin the platters. If you have a larger group or just like to eat alfresco, the patio is perfect. The menu offers a really nice variety of drinks, including the pricier craft cocktails, more classic, moderately priced beverages, nonalcoholic drinks, and all sorts of beer and wine. The food menu is solid, with plenty of appetizers, salads, entrées, and a dessert. The real star is the tacos! These are very moderately priced at seven dollars apiece, and all three varieties are delicious! There is a potato taco, a beef taco, and pork chili Verde taco. I highly recommend these! The green salsa they provide is extremely mild, but they do have a variety of hot sauces on hand. It's worth mentioning that even a humble plate of tacos is served on nice ceramic dishes, along with good flatware and napkins. The espresso martini cheesecake is creamy and delicious, and the portion is really generous. The staff seem to enjoy working at the Overland. The servers work hard to make sure your order is to your liking, and food comes out pretty fast. There's a good sense of teamwork among them. The staff is also accommodating about seating or any special requests. We've been there on a busy Friday night, and on a Sunday evening and late night. The Overland is always at least moderately busy, so reservations are strongly recommended. The city of Redlands should be very proud of this establishment. Go and have fun!

We made reservations for four, and as soon as we arrived, we were seated right away, which was a great start. Unfortunately, I noticed a few cleanliness issues almost immediately. The tables were pretty dusty, and the glass water cups we were given still had food residue on them. One even had what looked like a lipstick mark on the rim. I let our waitress know, and she apologized and quickly brought us new glasses. Those were still dirty as well, with (food residue) so I asked if she could replace them again. After the third attempt, the glasses finally came out spotless. It seemed like there may have been an issue with the dishwasher filter?, but I really appreciated how kind and apologetic our waitress was throughout the entire situation. The drinks were good overall. I ordered a couple of nonalcoholic drinks, and they were refreshing and flavorful. We also tried the cheese fries and the fried onion, and both were really tasty. Overall, I'd give this place a 6/10. The rough start with the cleanliness definitely affected the experience, but the service helped make up for it. The staff genuinely seemed to care about making things right, and that went a long way. I absolutely loved the vibe and the music, and I think this place has a lot of potential. I'd definitely be willing to give it another try because I think it could be a great spot for a fun night out.

We seated ourselves at our favorite raised table in the corner on the far side of the bar. My husband and I stuck to traditional cocktails, and old fashioned and a Negroni. Our friends chose signature cocktails: the Turbo Granny and the Electric Feel. Now the Electric Feel was not just a drink, it was an experience. Our server explained to our friend that he should sip a little of the drink, then chew the Szechuan buzz bud for about 15 seconds, letting it coat his whole tongue, then enjoy the rest of the drink which would taste different afterwards. Our friend went through all those steps and said it was incredible, like all the flavors were enhanced along with different sensations in his mouth, kind of numb and tingly. His wife was not satisfied with his description of the experience, so she bought a Szechuan buzz bud for $2 and she said it was kind of like pop rocks. These buzz bud looks just like a little flower bud like the end of a dandelion once the seeds are blown away. It comes from a plant. Totally fascinating! We enjoyed our one cocktail each here and just had great conversation. It was a fun night because of the company, and also because we had a little adventure going to two amazing places!

We decided on weekend brunch, especially since there were endless mimosas. Our kids have a recollection of being down the class umbrella alleyway, so they were amazed when they saw it. A short while later, we were in front of the restaurant and were quickly seated by the staff. They didn't ask if we preferred outdoor or indoor seating, but we were seated inside right next to the kitchen. We heard that indoor seating was better for service anyway. The interior of the restaurant was "very fancy," and my daughter thought we were in a date spot. We knew we wanted French fries and opted for the garlic Parmesan fries. At first, the kids were weirded out by the arugula, but my daughter ended up enjoying it, noting the bitter and salty notes. My son devoured the entire plate (not the arugula) and asked for another round. We also ordered the lemon ricotta French toast, made from Brioche bread, lemon blackberry butter, whipped lemon ricotta cream, blackberries, mint, and maple syrup. They perfected the crispy exterior, which contrasted well with the fluffy bread. My wife ordered the breakfast pizza--a focaccia pizza topped with marinara, ham, spinach, fresh tomato, red onion, a sunny-side-up egg, and herb-infused maple syrup. This was really delicious with the tart, fresh tomatoes, the salty ham, and the sweet maple syrup. I ended up eating the sunny-side egg by itself, so we didn't get to try the pizza with the egg. Lastly, I ordered the steak and eggs, but it was sadly a small portion. I ordered it medium rare, and it came out medium. The seasoning was a bit strange and would have been better with simple salt, pepper, and garlic. The mimomas really made my wife happy. She started feeling it pretty quickly. She chose the pineapple juice while I got the traditional orange. Not sure if the alcohol made the food better or the other way around. I was brought to reality when I saw the expensive bill, though.

Unfortunately, the experience didn't live up to the hype. Service was the main issue. The bartenders seemed inexperienced, and our server wasn't familiar with the drinks, often needing to check with someone else. It took about 20 minutes to receive our first round. Our reservation was at 10:30, we were seated until 10:40, and the place closes at midnight so timing already felt tight. Because of the wait, we asked to order two drinks at once for the next round, but were told it's limited to one at a time. That would be understandable if service were faster, but it took another 20 minutes to get the second drink. We were also told drinks from the regular menu take longer, so I tried one from the specialty menu...still a 20-minute wait. It was a frustrating experience. That said, the space itself is smaller and more intimate, which could make it a nice date spot. I do think this place has potential, and I'd consider giving it another chance, hopefully with smoother service next time. Oh Beignets were amazing!! Yummy little donuts!

When we walked into this speakeasy, behind a movable shelf, I was greatly disappointed by the size of this place. It literally was the size of a walk in closet. Probably a fifth of the size of the one in Rancho. The room was so small and cramped. We sat at the round tables which was small for 2 people, and they were spaced so close to each other. Another couple sat next to us and we could here their entire conversation. The space is just so cramped. Maybe 6 round tables with barely a foot apart. Then the bar top basically when someone is sitting there, theres less then a foot of space to go inbetween. The decor is beautiful. I did enjoy the library theme. Service here is a disappointment. There was inly 2 groups (including ourselves) when we arrived and service was excessively slow. On their featured cocktails which was the same as the one in Rancho (6 drinks?), they were already out of the first 2. And mind you, they've only been open for 2 hours. We asked them to prepare unique off the menu drinks. They basically gave us drinks from the main restaurant menu. Rum for the hills and an old fashion. The bartender at the Rancho location is so much better and nicer and way more creative. Able to create unique individual drinks off the top of his head. Not here though. She asked us what we were ordering at least times. And she still got our orders (food) wrong. The glass was sticky from the sugars. We ordered no grilled onions on the burger and it came with grilled onions. She was so unsure of what they carried (alcohol wise) that she had to go ask the other guy on multiple occasions. When the bill came, we didnt get a pen to sign it with. So we went to the bar area. The guy was a total A-hole. He was like what do you want? Woah guy. We're trying to give you more of our hard earned money via tip and sign this check so we can get the heck out of here. Like chill bro. We should be there ones angry with how bad the evening went. Not you. There were multiple flies flying around our table and food. A large fly, and then a small gnat around our drink. It was gross. Overall, it was a terrible experience here. There was mystique (I give you that, love the books). But nothing high end or exclusive about it. Usage of the space and their knowledge of the drinks reminds me of a run down dive bar. They need the bartender from Rancho to come here and revamp everything about this place. The only good thing here is that we were able to order burgers (full menu availability) in this speakeasy as suppose to the one in Victoria Gardens. But besides that, I am 100% not coming back. It just isnt worth it.

This place is a hidden gem in Old Town Redlands…read more. Came here for my Wife's 50th Birthday as she likes Italian food.. Everything was really good and we had a great experience.. We sat at the bar for happy hour and enjoyed everything so much we sat there and had dinner too.. The bartenders were so friendly and personable.. We started with appetizers with our drinks.. Honey Goat Cheese Dip with toasted bread and Calimari Strips.. For dinner we had Lasagna and Penne Gorgonzola Pasta with Chicken.. The place was very sharp and clean. Even the restrooms were shiny clean.. I can't wait to see what the upstairs looks after the remodel.. We definitely will be back for a date night.. Thank You Madri For A Great Birthday Dinner..

Our experience at Madri was just average. The service was fine, but nothing particularly memorable…read more We were seated near the front window, and the restaurant felt warm and a bit cramped, which made it less comfortable than we expected. The food was decent, but it didn't stand out, especially considering the price. For what we ordered, it felt overpriced and didn't offer the value we were hoping for. Overall, it wasn't a bad experience, but it also wasn't one that would bring us back. Unless someone in our group specifically wanted to eat here, I would probably choose a different restaurant next time.

I ordered the shrimp Pad See Ew, and it was packed with flavor and came in a generous portion, which are two big things for me. I'd definitely recommend trying the Pad See Ew. The only downside for me has been the wait time for food. The first time I visited, my date and I actually had to leave because our food was taking a while and we had reservations for drinks elsewhere. When I asked for an update, they told us our order still hadn't gone in yet . This time, we stuck around, and while the food was worth it, the wait was still pretty long. Even with that, I'd definitely come back
