Honey goat cheese dip- super good
    Jessica L.

Really great lunch! The honey goat cheese dip was yummy! Maybe two more pieces of bread would have been nice but it was fantastic. I loved the Italian sandwich and chips they served with it. they were warm and super fresh! The service was friendly and attentive and the restaurant and bathroom were clean. It's a comfortable dim vibe and very happy with our choice to try here today!!!!

We came in on a Thursday night to check out Madri and were genuinely pleasantly surprised--especially by the remodel. The space now feels like an upscale Italian sports-bar-meets-farmhouse vibe, and it really works for downtown Redlands. We were seated right away just before the dinner rush, and the hostess kindly accommodated our request to sit along the wall. It ended up being the perfect spot because we could see the entire restaurant and all of the TVs behind the bar. The bar area is especially pretty--modern,and inviting without feeling chaotic. The TVs were playing a mix of sports, Nickelodeon, and even a movie channel. We started with the bruschetta and I loved that the tomatoes were served on the side so the crostini didn't get soggy--such a thoughtful touch. My husband ordered the mushroom risotto and the flavor was spectacular--rich and comforting. I had the lasagna, which wasn't overhyped but was still very enjoyable. They offer a small but solid selection of wine and beer, plus cocktails. The space can accommodate both small and large parties, and the service was incredible from start to finish. Overall, the experience was very pleasant, and Madri feels like a great new option for a casual dinner that still feels a little elevated.

Went here for a date night and there wasn't a wait. We're seated in the bar area. Had a nice vibe. We ordered the bruschetta and the calamari. These were pretty average. We also ordered the meatballs and the mushroom risotto. Ok so I think they forgot about our food. The food came out about 35 mins later and was cold as hell. The mushrooms were maybe oyster mushrooms and they were so tough and connected all at the base. You couldn't cut them apart. It a was like a whole mushroom bush! We didn't complain and ate around the mushroom tree and just ate the outside of the meatball, then left. I think this place is cute and hope our time was a fluke, but we won't be back. Sadly.

Went for my mom's bday. It was good, but a bit pricey, but honestly what isn't in DTR anymore. Especially right there. The service was good, our waiter was patient and nice, however, his "personality" wouldn't fit everyone, some would find him "too direct." The food was good, but as I said, some was very overpriced for what it was. We all kind of got something different and just shared with each other. The ambiance is cool. I remember when this place used to be Romano's Chicago pizza, it was dark then & it still is now, unless you sit at the bar & they have the windows open.

It was a very busy night... World Series Dodger game... I don't think they were expecting so many people.... The place filled up... We had a couple of issues with our order... Cesar salads were old... didn't receive drinks until we were almost finished... my son ordered the steak dinner.. the steak was tough... our server was buried.... We had a stack of plates on our table that never got picked up..... we weee celebrating a special birthday.. my 13 yr old granddaughter... the server dropped off some vanilla ice cream.. no candle... nothing... ‍ The decor is really nice....

This cute little restaurant is easy to find if you're walking along Orange Street. My only negative is parking can be rather hard to find. My girlfriend and I decided to have lunch here and I'm glad she chose this place. We were greeted right away and shown to our table as we made reservations. The menu is pretty self explanatory as each dish explains what's in it. We ordered the goat cheese and honey dip to start off with. OMG, the dip was so delicious. We each ordered a pasta and shared. We ordered the penned vodka al fungi and linguine alla carbonara with shrimp. Both pasta dishes were delicious also. Both very filling and flavorful. Definitely a place I would like to come back to and try their other dishes and they look and sound delicious.

My group of 6 (4 adults, 2 kids) stopped by this restaurant to have Italian food for dinner after spending the day at the Live Oak farm for the Halloween/Fall Festival activities. We had high hopes/expectations for this restaurant since the reviews for place were quite positive. The biggest positive was our experience with our server. She was very attentive the entire time we were there, but the food itself was mediocre at best. We started off with the calamari appetizer, but it wasn't that great. The calamari inside didn't taste fresh and had a very fishy odor that is not typical for higher quality calamari appetizers. The pasta was alright because the sauce was tasty, but our penne was definitely overcooked and lacked that al dente texture from a higher quality Italian restaurant. In fact, my party semi-joked that it tasted like pasta from Olive Garden. The next disappointment was the pizza (both pizzas). The sauce and cheese were alright, but the crust was downright tough to eat. I likened it toasted cardboard because it was quite hard and dry. My wife mentioned it was similar to eating frozen pizza that was microwaved. My group visited New York for a week back in the spring this year, so we do acknowledge that our standards for good Italian food have risen significantly, but I think this restaurant was a genuine disappointment overall. We will not be coming back here anytime soon.

Alright... what's the pasta recipe!? Woooooooow it was delicious! A little more on the formal side with a splash of bougee casual. There isn't much to say other than good food, yummy drinks, and a bomb Alfredo. Looking forward to coming back!

Fantastic!! Dined on September 20, 2025. The place is modern with a very classy Italian vibe! Plenty of seating in the both the restaurant and bar. SERVICE: Super friendly team here from the entry, bartenders and servers. Very attentive and accommodating. FOOD: Tonight we sat at the bar, and we had the chicken piccata and the New York steak. Both were absolutely delicious. Added some extra pictures from our last visit too. Don't forget to try their Italiano (old fashioned) Everything here is great, if you haven't tried them yet, go give them a try!

Madri's is fantastic! I've been looking for new Italian options in the area. The drinks and food is superb. The Sunset Sour, a twist on a classic whiskey sour offers Aperol in place of whiskey and is frothed with egg whites. A delicious beverage that encompasses Italian cuisine and artistic expression. The Italiano, a twist on an Old Fashioned is equally as delicious. The whipped goat cheese and pistachio appetizer is perfect for a little sweet, yet bold beginner. I accompanied it with the savory insalata caprese that was refreshing and a palate cleanser for the various flavors of the meal. Their tiramisu is the best tiramisu I have ever had. I am a tiramisu snob as it's my favorite dessert. It's difficult to choose a star of the show, but this dessert was front and center. The interior is casual, yet upscale. The service is top notch. Ryan constantly checked on us to make sure the quality was up to par and to make sure we had everything we needed. This is going to be in the regular rotation from now on.

    Lemon drop martini

Met a friend for lunch today. Ordered off their daytime happy hour menu. Everything was delicious and priced well! $6 select beers and $8 martinis. I ordered the lemon drop. Very tasty. Shared a cheese pizza and antipasto salad. Great service and food. Thank you!

We arrived here for lunch on a weekday shortly after it opened and we're seated in a small booth. I enjoyed the atmosphere. It has a romantic feel to it, definitely suitable for a date. I cannot rave enough about the goat cheese, pistachio dip. It was simply my favorite thing that I ate. It was a beautiful appetizer that you simply cannot get anywhere else. They also had the usual suspects such as bruschetta, caprese, and calamari, which I'll try at a different time. My husband had the soup of the day which was a tomato bisque. Honestly, I wasn't expecting much, but it was extremely tasty, definitely not just a throw away. We enjoyed our cocktails and look forward to returning, as there were several dishes that we were interested in trying. One thing I will note is the lack of side dishes, just about every dish came with either oven, roasted potatoes or mashed potatoes and broccolini. The mashed potatoes were buttery and delicious and I enjoyed the broccolini, but I can see wanting to switch it up eventually.

New York strip! Took a pic after I starting eating because it looked so good. I subbed out mash potatoes instead

This place is amaziiiiing. 1st week open and most new places usually have some things to work out but not this place. Service was so attentive. Now only did our server Carlos make sure we were good throughout the whole meal so did another lady who refilled our drinks and checked on us throughout. The owner/manager stopped by as well. Everything we ordered was cooked well and tasted great. Garlic bread was amazing, caprese even better. We both got steaks for our entree. It was seasoned well and cooked just right. The price point was in line with Redlands prices. Loved how they redid the space. It's so much more brighter and looks cleaner. Love the decor. Props to whoever picked itout. Will definitely be returning.

We seated ourselves at our favorite raised table in the corner on the far side of the bar. My husband and I stuck to traditional cocktails, and old fashioned and a Negroni. Our friends chose signature cocktails: the Turbo Granny and the Electric Feel. Now the Electric Feel was not just a drink, it was an experience. Our server explained to our friend that he should sip a little of the drink, then chew the Szechuan buzz bud for about 15 seconds, letting it coat his whole tongue, then enjoy the rest of the drink which would taste different afterwards. Our friend went through all those steps and said it was incredible, like all the flavors were enhanced along with different sensations in his mouth, kind of numb and tingly. His wife was not satisfied with his description of the experience, so she bought a Szechuan buzz bud for $2 and she said it was kind of like pop rocks. These buzz bud looks just like a little flower bud like the end of a dandelion once the seeds are blown away. It comes from a plant. Totally fascinating! We decided on weekend brunch, especially since there were endless mimosas. Our kids have a recollection of being down the class umbrella alleyway, so they were amazed when they saw it. A short while later, we were in front of the restaurant and were quickly seated by the staff. They didn't ask if we preferred outdoor or indoor seating, but we were seated inside right next to the kitchen. We heard that indoor seating was better for service anyway. The interior of the restaurant was "very fancy," and my daughter thought we were in a date spot. We knew we wanted French fries and opted for the garlic Parmesan fries. At first, the kids were weirded out by the arugula, but my daughter ended up enjoying it, noting the bitter and salty notes. My son devoured the entire plate (not the arugula) and asked for another round. We also ordered the lemon ricotta French toast, made from Brioche bread, lemon blackberry butter, whipped lemon ricotta cream, blackberries, mint, and maple syrup. They perfected the crispy exterior, which contrasted well with the fluffy bread. My wife ordered the breakfast pizza--a focaccia pizza topped with marinara, ham, spinach, fresh tomato, red onion, a sunny-side-up egg, and herb-infused maple syrup. This was really delicious with the tart, fresh tomatoes, the salty ham, and the sweet maple syrup. I ended up eating the sunny-side egg by itself, so we didn't get to try the pizza with the egg. Lastly, I ordered the steak and eggs, but it was sadly a small portion. I ordered it medium rare, and it came out medium. The seasoning was a bit strange and would have been better with simple salt, pepper, and garlic. The mimomas really made my wife happy. She started feeling it pretty quickly. She chose the pineapple juice while I got the traditional orange. Not sure if the alcohol made the food better or the other way around. I was brought to reality when I saw the expensive bill, though.

Our reservation was at 10:30, we were seated until 10:40, and the place closes at midnight so timing already felt tight. Because of the wait, we asked to order two drinks at once for the next round, but were told it's limited to one at a time. We were also told drinks from the regular menu take longer, so I tried one from the specialty menu...still a 20-minute wait. It was a frustrating experience. Probably a fifth of the size of the one in Rancho. The room was so small and cramped. We sat at the round tables which was small for 2 people, and they were spaced so close to each other. Another couple sat next to us and we could here their entire conversation. The space is just so cramped. Maybe 6 round tables with barely a foot apart. Then the bar top basically when someone is sitting there, theres less then a foot of space to go inbetween. The decor is beautiful. I did enjoy the library theme. Service here is a disappointment. There was inly 2 groups (including ourselves) when we arrived and service was excessively slow. On their featured cocktails which was the same as the one in Rancho (6 drinks?), they were already out of the first 2. And mind you, they've only been open for 2 hours. We asked them to prepare unique off the menu drinks. They basically gave us drinks from the main restaurant menu. Rum for the hills and an old fashion. The bartender at the Rancho location is so much better and nicer and way more creative. Able to create unique individual drinks off the top of his head. Not here though. She asked us what we were ordering at least times. And she still got our orders (food) wrong. The glass was sticky from the sugars. We ordered no grilled onions on the burger and it came with grilled onions. She was so unsure of what they carried (alcohol wise) that she had to go ask the other guy on multiple occasions. When the bill came, we didnt get a pen to sign it with. So we went to the bar area. The guy was a total A-hole. He was like what do you want? Woah guy. We're trying to give you more of our hard earned money via tip and sign this check so we can get the heck out of here. Like chill bro. We should be there ones angry with how bad the evening went. Not you. There were multiple flies flying around our table and food. A large fly, and then a small gnat around our drink. It was gross. Overall, it was a terrible experience here. There was mystique (I give you that, love the books). But nothing high end or exclusive about it. Usage of the space and their knowledge of the drinks reminds me of a run down dive bar. They need the bartender from Rancho to come here and revamp everything about this place. The only good thing here is that we were able to order burgers (full menu availability) in this speakeasy as suppose to the one in Victoria Gardens. But besides that, I am 100% not coming back. It just isnt worth it.
