It was a little warm that day no fault of Redlands ramen it was over a hundred degrees but I wasn't feeling well and ramen sounded perfect I picked the right place. Everything seemed to have been made from scratch it did take a minute to get the food but it was well worth it the ramen was delicious I got the oxtail ramen so unique I love oxtail it was excellent and also in addition we got the edamame so good so good. I saw lots of people coming in and picking up orders not a lot of people inside probably due to the heat that day but if you've never had ramen outside of home or if you've had it at other places I'm telling you this is a Hidden gem the food is excellent and the service was wonderful and we did get a cold beer as well... My daughter loves this place and since she was home from college we went to have dinner. The wings were very good but expensive at $13 for 5 of them. The noodles were good as well. The servers did their best to keep up with the influx of guests. Overall it was a good experience although I'm not a noodles person so probably won't be back without my daughter. read more

I have to make a stop here when I'm in town. So good!! The ramen and broth is delicious, the only down side is the wait. They used to do phone orders but I haven't been able to do so the last few times I've been there. The pork can be tough sometimes but other than that, I really do enjoy their menu. read more

Right when I got it the ambience to me was very familiar, the service was great and fast. But the food was the real spotlight, the broth was strong which I know many people don't prefer it that way but it was great the way it was, the eggs were also made perfectly and the pork while durable had a great flavor. The only thing I would change is the quantity of the other ingredients as I feel like there was way too much Seaweed and Fish cake but then again I got a signature dish and being able to make your own bowl is always an option. I've never gone out to eat that serves ramen. But today, my husband and I were in the area and wanted to try some and this place seemed at least decent. I've had a pregnancy crazing for ramen but I didn't want anything creamy or thick. This place definitely hit that craving spot on! It took about 20 minutes just to get our drinks, and when the food finally came out, the noodles were all stuck together and the broth wasn't even hot. Some of the add-ons were barely included, and overall the place looked a bit dirty, which was disappointing. The oxtail was tough, and my order wasn't made correctly. The service also wasn't the greatest, and it seemed like the restaurant was greatly short-staffed, which probably contributed to the long wait and overall issues. Fairly average ramen for the most part. The flavor on the spicy was good but lacked on the veggies. All the ramen's are build your own so price will vary. The chicken fried rice was actually the winner of my meal. The small is a good size portion for 1 person and definitely shareable between 2. Service was quick and friendly. But didn't like how the bar counters appeared cluttered. I have definitely had better at the same price point. I went at 12:01 AM with my boyfriend and honestly reading the yelp review we expected bad service and bad ramen but we wanted to give it a shot and we got extra spicy miso with extra noodles and the server filled it with noodles and the broth was so good we give it a 10/10 . I haven't written a Yelp review in years, and when I do, it's either because I absolutely love a place or I can't stand it. And let me tell you, it is hands down the best ramen I've ever had. No exceptions! Honestly, I don't get how this place doesn't have five stars across the board because it's the best ramen, period. I live in LA, and I literally make the trip just to get a taste of their unreal chicken broth. From what I've heard, they simmer it for three days before it even hits the bowl, and you can taste every hour of that in how rich and creamy it is. No other place even comes close. I always get a spice level of Just Right, it's got the perfect kick that makes you want to come back for more. And trust me, I do especially because they are open till 3am! There have been plenty of days where I've ordered three or four bowls to-go just so I can have it all week long. The only problem that I've got with them is that they don't have a location in LA! I could guarantee you that If you order the way I do this ramen will be in your top 3 ramen restaurants. If you want to order like me, just get the Dan with a side of Tori broth and a spice level of Just Right. I always add their perfectly cooked soft-boiled egg, sweet corn, and their insanely good chicken. You can add whatever you want, but if you want it done right, just ask for "The Dan, Udi's way." Pros: the miso base with just right spicy is basically perfect base. The eggs are 10/10, soooo good. I love that they have kimchi. Cons: well holy crap... 1) they use old oil on something with that waxy crayon taste. Every time I've ordered something it has that taste. 2) the PRICE. my ramen comes out to $30 for one bowl after the kimchi and extra egg and STANDARD add ons. 3)...THE SERVICE. AWFUL. we had Evelyn and she was the worst, even by Gen Z standards. I will not come back just because of her: Ordered a fountain drink (for $3.50?!) and she dropped the cup off and told us to get it ourselves, along with our waters. Didn't check on us after our food came. Checked her hair and makeup in a mirror while we were waiting. My sibling got a box for us from the bar area. Server helped a walk in to-go order and looked at us and completely ignored us even with my son waiving her over. We go up front to pay and no check or bill to review just a total. Absolutely unacceptable customer service. We walked in on Friday night 02/06 and stood at the front for approximately 15 minutes without being acknowledged a single time. The host/server with glasses made direct eye contact with us repeatedly and chose to say nothing. No greeting, no "I'll be with you shortly," no explanation of any kind. Instead, he took two tables' orders and packed a pickup order while we stood there feeling awkward and unwelcome. The restaurant was not busy, so there is no excuse for the lack of basic human courtesy. If you can't handle acknowledging guests or communicating simple expectations, you shouldn't be the first point of contact. We eventually left without being helped at all. This level of service is embarrassing -- especially in Redlands. Do better. read more

One theme in many comments is dead on: service is generally very bad. But I have to say that the vegan ramen is one of the best meals I've had in a dozen years of living in Redlands.
