Sushi is ok ! Service is ok it's clean inside ! Sushi used to be way better not sure what happened?

The way the owner/manager treats his staff is despicable. And he does it in front of the customers (ME) no less. He also refuses to speak with customers when there's any issue whatsoever. Also the fish in my rolls tasted old; rubbery texture and smelled fishy... (if you eat fish you know what I'm talking about). To start off, I really like this sushi place, it has the best deals for take out sushi in the area and good servings of fish in their cut rolls. HOWEVER, I have ordered take out from them 3 times and each time I try to order the spicy salmon roll and without fail, its spicy tuna every time. (Im a huge salmon lover so I know right away!) Maybe its on me to assume they messed the order up twice and still I try again, but its been three times now. I just think if you dont have something, take it off the online menu. Could be an allergy concern for some if allergic to tuna etc. My photo shows my suspicion that they might just use spicy tuna for both. I'm not a big sushi person, but this place was worth the visit. They were very accommodating for our large party of about 8-10 people. We also ordered edamame which could have been evenly salted better. The servers were young ladies and they were kind but seemed new to the food industry. They passed out dishes just to one side of the table and we had to pass them down to the rest of our group ourselves. It appeared lazy. We asked them to pass it out and they obliged. I might prefer another sushi place for flavor but you can almost guarantee you will get a table here and not have to wait that long. We came here on a Google search, and then looked on Yelp and the reviews seemed average. So why not. 1-the food, sushi was great, it definitely hit the spot, it was fresh, and abundant.. I would recommend the food! 2-the service, the service was okay. The girls attending us were kind and friendly but mistakes were made and when notified about the mistakes they were apologetic/sincere and said they would correct it and it wasn't corrected. Prices are amazing! We went for a late lunch on a Saturday and got 2 rolls (Rainbow roll and Baked Salmon roll) and 2 sashimis for less than 30 bucks! Amazing prices. Staff was very kind. However, what I saw disgusted me. last night while eating here, I noticed I kept hearing one of the sushi chefs coughing. So irritated, we arrived exactly at open 11:30 am. We were one of the first few people in the restaurant, (second party that entered as it opened). My friend and I ordered two rolls each, a total of 4. The restaurant slowly began to fill, my friend and I are waiting on our rolls for over 30 minutes. Not once did our waitress check in on us or update us on the wait time of our food. She didn't come up to us, ONCE not even to ask if we wanted refills. Came today around 1. There were two servers staffed and two other tables seated. It took the servers near 20 minutes before they swung by our table to pick up our AYCE order. After that it took nearly an hour for me to receive my entire first round. I tried replacing my order twice, and they came out incorrectly both times. By the time I received my order, I had already lost my appetite. The servers were not helpful. I could see them scrolling through their phones instead of checking in their tables. Gets "0" stars...went today for lunch. As another customer mentioned, manager is very disrespectful to employee/waitress, berating her in front of wife and I. This was her third day on the job. She was almost in tears when she came back to our table. I told her she did nothing wrong and it's not her fault that she wasn't trained correctly. I then called manager over and explained the proper way to speak to his employee and proper way to discuss issue with her, out of customer's presence. I've been going there for 15+ yrs and told him over the last couple since he took over it's been going down hill. The only thing good about this place was the food, and the one server that had long blond hair and the smiley piercing. Listen, I try to understand that sometimes people go through rough days but this service was beyond any consideration I could possibly have. Courtney had claimed that the table had to get charged for a girl taking a "big bite" off of her husbands ramen and charged them for two because she "saw them" share the ramen, and there's a policy against that. DO NOT EAT HERE! We got food poisoning. We were extremely sick right after eating our food. We noticed the rolls were not the best tasting ones we've had but the miso soup tasted like acid. We didn't finish our food and we just tossed it. I called the restaurant the day after and the lady who I'm guessing is the manager asked me for the receipt of the medication we used to treat our food borne illness. So I haven't actually sat down here at hello sushi since before the pandemic. I got to saw I'm a bit disappointed again. First, we went for lunch and it was just me and my husband and another girl who seemed to be an employee off shift, but still bothering every staff member there. My husband got a few different roles & so did I. The roles were subpar. The only role that made me happiest was the cheapest role that was the scallop hand role, and I had to special order it because they only offered it with spicy scallops, not regular. The service was not the best either. As I mentioned, it was just me and my husband in there... but the waitresses spent 15 minutes chatting before someone came to take our order. Then they were constantly talking to the other girl there dining the rest of the time. I don't know it just didn't sit well with me. I took a few pictures of our rolls... which didn't look like the photos in the menu either so be aware of that. The ambiance there isn't necessarily the best either. It looks clean, but having a super old dingy fish tank in the front wasn't helping them or a broken soap dispenser in the bathroom either. I don't know if I'll be returning again.... So we came here cause of the hype from Instagram. And they have snow cone for AYCE. I have a good expectation of this place but it was a mistake coming in here. We got here around noon so there's not a lot of people. We did their all you can eat even even if were not hungry just because of the snow cone that come with it. We gave our paper to our server and we didn't order complicated rolls. The worst part is everybody that ordered after us got all their food order before us. My first thought was maybe they'll give us all our order all at once thats why it's taking forever. Half an hour later, our order starts coming in 1 by 1 by 1. Like wtf!!. Before we even got all our order which isn't that much, the table right next to us who got here after us got all their order before us. Infact they already done before we got our first round. Their sushi quality isn't good. I should have check the yelp review before coming in here. This is the only bad experience I had from a sushi restaurant. Also, the seared salmon is not just seared, there's too much oil in it that it is soaking the rice. There's places that the food isnt so great but the service is great which makes up for it. I have seen this place for a while, but I just grabbed something here the other night with Uber Eats. It was so good. I had to try it in person and I have to say it is a smartest thing I've done all year. Jasmine was my server, and you can tell that she really likes her job. I asked her about her recommendations and she was actually excited to share her knowledge and experience with the menu. You can tell that for her this is not just a job, but is something that she loves. And attitude like that is great to see. When it was slow, I noticed that the employees were all doing work related to the restaurant. Making sure things were stocked up, lining up things, taking care of other things here and there. Nobody was on their phone, nobody was chatting or texting, everybody was being very professional. if they are putting this much effort into the restaurant, that means they are also going to be putting as much effort into me as a customer. It's wonderful to not be treated like I'm in the way of somebody's chat. It does notend there. I opted for the all you can eat and tried something called the funky monkey based on Jasmine's recommendation. It was amazing and something I've never had before. Unexplainable. I made a pretty good dent in the menu, but I hit my limit and had to call it a day. I had an absolutely wonderful time and will be back.
