Prices are amazing! We went for a late lunch on a Saturday and got 2 rolls (Rainbow roll and Baked Salmon roll) and 2 sashimis for less than 30 bucks! Amazing prices. Staff was very kind. I'm not a big sushi person, but this place was worth the visit. They were very accommodating for our large party of about 8-10 people. We ate here around 1:45pm on a Saturday and there was nobody here. That might tell you something about the food that it's average. I don't know sushi that well but the food was delicious to me. We ordered all you can eat and my favorites were the baked salmon and Alaska salmon rolls. We also ordered edamame which could have been evenly salted better. The servers were young ladies and they were kind but seemed new to the food industry. They passed out dishes just to one side of the table and we had to pass them down to the rest of our group ourselves. It appeared lazy. We asked them to pass it out and they obliged. We came here on a Google search, and then looked on Yelp and the reviews seemed average. So why not. 1-the food, sushi was great, it definitely hit the spot, it was fresh, and abundant.. I would recommend the food! 2-the service, the service was okay. The girls attending us were kind and friendly but mistakes were made and when notified about the mistakes they were apologetic/sincere and said they would correct it and it wasn't corrected. Ambiance The decor is cute but it's giving rundown Chinashop vibes. The baseboards look like they mop with dirty water once a month. I could actually smell the water while we were eating. The nicest tables are reserved --for what seems like only where staff eat on break. The sushi bar is far from most of the seating but seems okay. The kitchen had leaking water for half of my meal before it got mopped. There is Chinese writing on the walls, which is kind of cute if it was a Chinese place. Some of the top flags are okay. The TV playing dining channel really confused my stomach during the meal. Watching someone make other foods while sushi is right in front of me felt like they missed the point of sushi. The sushi is the art. Service With cafeteria style service and plates, at least the prices are reasonable ($23 for 3 rolls and it was shareable). The staff were kind, but I was confused if I could ask one server questions or the other. I wanted to be sure I was asking the right person but then I was obvious half way thru that they were all helping each other as one big area. Food The rolls looked pretty good and tasted great too, but the sauce was overpowering. Was it to hide something? I ended up in pain all night due to gassiness, burping like a college tailgating frat boy and couldn't lie down until 3 am after dinner at 7:30 pm. Food was questionable. We were a large party. My friend ordered the chicken teriyaki which she did not eat because the meat was not as fresh. There was mixed reviews on the sushi. I ordered the tempura vegetarian roll and added jalapeño and cream cheese. The rolls were very large and had to take various bites to eat one roll. The service was great.. the waitresses were very attentive. 4 of my coworkers had the AYCE - all you can eat sushi. No salad available but they did have the shaved ice dessert. Came today around 1. There were two servers staffed and two other tables seated. It took the servers near 20 minutes before they swung by our table to pick up our AYCE order. After that it took nearly an hour for me to receive my entire first round. I tried replacing my order twice, and they came out incorrectly both times. By the time I received my order, I had already lost my appetite. The servers were not helpful. I could see them scrolling through their phones instead of checking in their tables. As a result, we had to wait an additional 30 minutes for the food to be prepared. Before leaving, we spoke with the server on duty, and my friend--who lives in the area--left her contact information for the manager to follow up. Unfortunately, she never heard back, and when she later tried calling to follow up, no one responded. The only thing good about this place was the food, and the one server that had long blond hair and the smiley piercing. Towards the ending, we were asking about the shaved ice for the AYCE customers, and we were greeted by the chef (a younger man) and he was handing us a bowl- super sweet. But it had sauce dot on the bottom so we left it on the side of the machine. Lastly. I felt bad for the party behind us. Courtney had claimed that the table had to get charged for a girl taking a "big bite" off of her husbands ramen and charged them for two because she "saw them" share the ramen, and there's a policy against that. But being the deadbeat server and having the nerve to say that is crazy. Go here for the food, but don't expect to have great service. They did not offer a free delivery of these items but instead a credit of foo for a return visit.... They refused a refund of the order and the three rolls that did show up were absolutely terrible sushi. Not fresh at all with a sloppy craftsmanship and a terrible fish to rice/veggie ratio. So we came here cause of the hype from Instagram. And they have snow cone for AYCE. I have a good expectation of this place but it was a mistake coming in here. We got here around noon so there's not a lot of people. We did their all you can eat even even if were not hungry just because of the snow cone that come with it. We gave our paper to our server and we didn't order complicated rolls. The worst part is everybody that ordered after us got all their food order before us. If you're looking for a family friendly sushi place in Redlands, this is it! Redlands has a blind spot when it comes to Asian food so when you find one that is good, you don't gate keep. Besides the food, the service is fantastic. If you are lucky enough to go on an evening that a server named Aiko is working, you are in for a treat. She's is kind, took our orders promptly and the service was fast. Always smiling and happy to make our dining experience a great one! PS: there was another server that was sort of rude to us. I came for the AYCE lunch special for my first time here and I really enjoyed this place. The decor was inviting and the restaurant was very clean. In a lot of sushi places the music is too loud and at times vulgar. Not here. The volume is perfect where you can actually talk while eating. Thank you for that! The rice to fish ratio is as good and the fish had good flavor. I came very hungry and left very full. As far as service goes, the three girls serving were great and very polite and friendly. We didn't finish our food and we just tossed it. I called the restaurant the day after and the lady who I'm guessing is the manager asked me for the receipt of the medication we used to treat our food borne illness. There was even a server who caught my eye with how friendly and attentive they were, which is what first turned us into regulars. Back then, the servers were nicer, fast-paced, and actually seemed to care about the experience. Unfortunately, the restaurant has really gone downhill. On our most recent visit, the service from Kiara and another server who seemed new was VERY disappointing--they seemed uninterested, slow, and rarely checked on our table, and the food came out late and cold. I have seen this place for a while, but I just grabbed something here the other night with Uber Eats. It was so good. I had to try it in person and I have to say it is a smartest thing I've done all year. Jasmine was my server, and you can tell that she really likes her job. I asked her about her recommendations and she was actually excited to share her knowledge and experience with the menu. You can tell that for her this is not just a job, but is something that she loves. And attitude like that is great to see. When it was slow, I noticed that the employees were all doing work related to the restaurant. Making sure things were stocked up, lining up things, taking care of other things here and there. Nobody was on their phone, nobody was chatting or texting, everybody was being very professional. if they are putting this much effort into the restaurant, that means they are also going to be putting as much effort into me as a customer. It's wonderful to not be treated like I'm in the way of somebody's chat. It does notend there. I opted for the all you can eat and tried something called the funky monkey based on Jasmine's recommendation. It was amazing and something I've never had before. Unexplainable. I made a pretty good dent in the menu, but I hit my limit and had to call it a day. I had an absolutely wonderful time and will be back. They took our drink order immediately and brought those out quickly. I ordered the baked crawfish roll, and it was delicious. The roll was the perfect amount of sweet and savory. Hello Sushi has been in this location for years and years. So when you are looking up a specific food review, please note when it was written. The location is set back from Redlands Blvd and not readily visible. We were there mid-week and seated at 4:45 pm - being among a few customers the service was attentive and our order came out quickly. As you can tell from my interior pics the atmosphere is inviting. There are plenty of TVs and the menu offers plenty of beverage choices. We started with a small cup of Miso soup. For $2, it was appropriately sized. The flavor was as expected. We ordered the Three Amigo Tempura Roll and the Fire Cracker Roll. Overall, it seemed to us that their flavorings tended to be sweeter (not necessarily sweet) than other restaurants' sushi. Both of our Rolls had Spicy Tuna, but it wasn't as spicy as other restaurants'. Not saying this is good or bad, but an observation. The shock n' awe moment was the delivery of the Three Amigo Tempura Roll, see my pic. You're looking at a mountain of tempura onion rings covering a California Roll with Spicy Tuna. The foundation of the California Roll was fairly basic, filling and somewhat mild flavoring. The Spicy Tune was plentiful and had a bit of heat and kick. The sauces added some creaminess and another heat component. I liked the Tempura Onions as a great crunchy compliment to the soft textures of the roll and ground tuna. The slices of the roll varied. Some bites were quite large and almost unmanageable (particularly in public). The Fire Cracker Roll was basically the same roll as in the Three Amigo. The sauces really helped with the flavoring.
