I've been here twice, and both times the service was great and very kind. We ordered the pho tai, bún bò huế, spring rolls, and chicken wings. Pho tai (8/10): A generous portion with plenty of meat. The broth was good, though a bit sweeter than what I usually prefer, as I tend to like a more savory pho. Bún bò Huế (9/10): Another large portion that tasted very authentic. The meat portions were great, and the broth was light and flavorful without feeling too heavy. Chicken wings (10/10): So good, perfectly crispy, and honestly nostalgic. They reminded me of how my grandma used to make them. Shrimp spring rolls (10/10): You really can't go wrong with spring rolls, and these were fresh and well made. The sauce was darker in color but tasted like a classic peanut sauce. Overall, I would definitely come back. I like exploring different restaurants when I travel for work. I Had to be in San Bernardino for 4 days and whenever I'm out, I need to start my meal with Vietnamese Food. Why??? Cause I love Vietnamese food!! Duh!! :) :) I found Pho 72 on Yelp and it was less than 1 mile from my office and as a no brainer, I had to give this place a try. The place is a little old and run down but it reminds me of a family run hole in the wall diamond in the rough. I went twice and I ordered the following Bun Bo Hue - beef spicy noodles soup (Very tasty, love all the fresh veggies/herbs and the tender meat) Pork Loaf Bun Mi sandwich - I liked it cause it has pate, lots of bun mi places don't use pate. Pate is what makes it so delicious! 4 stars because the pork loaf was still a little frozen. Pho combo - rare steak, tripe, tendon, flank and Brisket. I wish I lived closer because this was one of the best places I have been to. The pho was delicious and the combo fried rice was so full of flavor I could not get enough. The staff was super friendly and attentive. There was lots of parking and while the restaurant isn't super big it does have a good amount of tables. This place is like the only place in the IE that serves Vietnamese crepes, which is how I ended up here. The crepe was okay, I've never had it with chicken, and it got soggy quickly, but I appreciate having a crepe nearby. The herbs and lettuce and dipping sauce were splendid. ORDER bun bo hue (4/5) this restaurant is a lot cheaper compared to other places, but you pay for what you get. considering the price, i'd give it a 4/5, otherwise it'd be a 3. the broth was too oily and salty for my liking, but squeezing in 2 lime slices helped. there wasn't a lot of toppings, especially meat. the meat slices were very thin and minimal. i also tried the bun thit nuong cha gio and there was more lettuce than anything. the meat was sliced super thin and even then barely any meat was given. again, you pay for what you get. A big group of my friends were in the area and were craving Vietnamese food. Pho 72 had the best rating, so we decided to check them out! The OG spot, we used to come here quite often, but her hours don't work with our schedule anymore. But when it does, we make sure to come here to support. The owner is a nice friendly lady. Finally had time to come and visit this past weekend. Glad to see that there were other people dining in as well (2-3 other parties). My boyfriend and I ordered a pho and vermicelli dish. I love pho but mostly non soup pho, so my review is based solely on what I tried. I got the beef stir fry vermicelli but I was not a fan personally. The meat tasted like it was stir fried with fish and had the weirdest flavor. This probably the first time I've had this dish at a pho place and didn't care for it. The rest of the dish was ok and the fish sauce was ok as well. It didn't stand out to me and even the fish sauce didn't have that nice tangy flavor I love. I don't want to discount the place as a whole because I only Tried one thing. I just wouldn't order the beef again. It's definitely some of the cheapest pho I've been to in a while so it gets points there for sure. The service was great and no issues there. The Ambiance is very casual and it's a small place. Their soup pho is very popular so I assume it's good but I didn't try it. They also have vegetarian options for those who don't eat meat. I'm not sure I would come back just because I wasn't a fan of my favorite pho dish but I think it's still worth a try if you like pho and or soup pho. Somebody in my party (my Husband) spotted this Pho place. We were on our way to watch a movie and wanted to grab a bite to eat. He won the coin toss so this is what we chose. He ordered the combination Pho. I had egg rolls and chicken wings. Everything was nicely presented and tasted great. I was looking for a place in IE for bun rieu and found this place on Yelp. It had great reviews so I thought I'd give it a try. When I came in, no one greeted me. I waited for a few minutes and then walked up to counter. The host/server was super rude and said you ready? So I placed my order and asked if I could eat there because it seemed like people ordering at the counter was ordering to go. She just responded with ok. So I went and sat back down. When the food arrived, a different lady brought it out and sat it on the table. They never asked if I wanted to order anything to drink. I had to ask for water. Despite the crappy service, the bun rieu was actually pretty good. Had everything I wanted, although there was only one piece of rieu, which for a dish called bun rieu, there should have been more. But I liked the flavor of the soup and the amount of tofu pieces that came with it. Not sure if I'll be back given how rude the service was, but the soup was good. read more

I met my friend here for lunch today, and I was excited to try a new place that she has been going to for years. I got a Vegetable Pho with the Vegetable Broth and it was 80% Vegetables, 10% Noodles and 10% Broth - the portions were not inline at all. You'd hope for a more even balance of everything. I left almost all the veggies because it was just way too much. The inside is very tiny - and the bathrooms are disgusting; there was a leak and water all over the women's room floor (which they are aware of because a restaurant staff member used the restroom right before me and had to have clearly seen it). The 3-stars are due to the restroom cleanliness. The food overall was good while the portions of things were way off; but I'm not sure I'll be adding this into my rotation. read more

Bottom line first: good food, good value, great service I was in the middle of a long drive from down the hill back home. My girl decided to call in the order for me to pick up. No problem, except that the traffic from San Diego was pretty damn heavy. Although she thought I will make it there by 6PM, Waze clearly told me differently. In fact, I was projected to be half an hour past their closing time. I called, and the nice lady said that she would wait for me to pick up the food. At 6:26, the lady call me back, just to make sure that I am still on my way. I informed her that I was two minutes out. Getting into the complex from the south was slightly tricky, having to make the left at the intersection, because there was a divider preventing the left on the main stretch. And of course, the light didn't cooperate. I got there at 6:30. I gave her my card and asked to use the bathroom, a request which she nicely obliged. Finding the light was a little bit tricky, as it was not at the usual spot next to the door, but in the middle of the other wall. After I came out, I told her of my situation, with another hour of driving to go. She asked if I want a Vietnamese coffee. Initially, I said no, and then I said OK. I was ready to pay for the additional drink, but she generously said it would be on the house. I said thanks and made it up with extra tip. The coffee definitely help me stayed the course. After we got home, we enjoyed the nice entrées, which were very reasonably priced and very tasty. I had my usual barbecue pork and eggrolls. Yummy! If we were in the area again, we will definitely go back to this nice intimate place with such wonderful service. read more
