Honestly I didn't have the greatest experience this time around. I'm not even sure what happened cause I've been here a few times and I had no issues and the food was amazing. Our group had a few vegetarian and chicken dishes that came out great and they were really good. Now that the food is good, why give the 2 stars? It's because I never got my food. I had ordered the jjajangmyeon and the popcorn chicken and never received it. The restaurant wasn't very busy the time we went and my entire party received their food except for me. I then watched everyone else at the restaurant get their food. And some got the exact dish I ordered and they came after me. What made me upset is that the waitress kept telling me my food was coming soon. I was told this about 3-4 times. And after 45 minutes I had to tell them to cancel. They tried to convince me not to cancel cause the food was coming out soon but my entire party had finished eating already. I was already hangry and I didn't want to hear the excuses. I got a wack apology. Like if you as the wait staff notice that the entire restaurant was getting their food except for the one person you kept telling over and over that their food was coming, wouldn't you check on the kitchen to expedite the order? The excuse they gave was that they only had one wok or something like that. Whatever the excuse was, it was a poor excuse. It was such a shame because usually I have a great experience here but that night was not the night.

Excellent vegan/vegetarian option in Redlands. Been here twice now and it is usually empty. Please support this business so it flourishes. Ambiance is quiet and good amount of seating is available. Is Vegan Orange Chicken was my favorite. Great flavor and sweetness. A good amount of parking and didn't have to wait for a table for a late sunday lunch. Food - Combination Lo Mein. Good! honestly I've never been blown away by lo mein but it still hit the spot. Service - Server was super nice and bit talkative. Didn't have to wait much for the food either which was nice. I'd definitely come back with friends to try more food

We met up with an old resident friend today. He suggested JW China Wok as we both haven't been and heard good things. It was time to devour!!! The interior was nice and clean with interesting, aquarium decor. The waiter was a bit eager and trying to ask how we know about Korean cuisine. Supposedly, a lot of Koreans frequent there and they added Korean items (such as jjajangmyeon and jjampong) to accommodate. I will say that the noodle itself wasn't always the correct type. For example, the Singaporean curry rice noodles were not the thin, typical rice noodles (possibly vermicelli?). The traditional jjajangmyeon is served with thick noodles and not thin. BUT the flavors definitely shined. The jjajangmyeon sauce was deeply delectable. The curry flavor of the Singaporean noodles was enriched in laska flavor but also not the typical spice level. The waiter did mention that in the future, it is possible to ask for the lo mien with the jjajangmyeon so will try that next time. JW China Wok is a great addition to Redlands. We may visit more often to satisfy the jjajangmyeon cravings.

Food: i always pass by this restaurant, but never thought to actually try it until my husband finally decided to give it a go! The food here is simply amazingggg. We got to try out a variety of dishes including eggplant tofu, salt and pepper fish, and black bean noodles, and all of them delivered above and beyond. I was pleasantly surprised that they had the black bean noodles since it's mostly a korean chinese dish. The fried food was crunchy and warm, the sauce was perfection! Highly recommend all the things we got. Price: reasonably priced, not too expensive for the amount and the quality of food that you actually get here! The fish was $18 and the eggplant tofu was about $14. Ambiance: seemed like it was a family owned business with chinese speaking owner and server. Small and cozy with about 7-10 ish tables inside, great for family get together and casual hangouts Service: the Chinese server taking our orders and serving us food was very very nice and made cute small talk. He even attempted to greet me in korean, which was excellent haha Parking: there is a small lot associated with the plaza that contains the restaurant, in the front end on the side. There is usually at least several parking spots available at a given time

The food here was amazing ! The orange chicken was delicious & packed with flavor. The meat was nice & soft with some crunch to it as well, the rice was absolutely soft & flavorful. The chili paste was definitely a good heat add-on. The staff were so sweet & made sure we were taken care of. The food didn't take long to come out & it all tasted hot & fresh ! Check this place out for some good food !

This is an unexpected surprise in Redlands. We literally did a U-turn while driving when my fiancé told me their food options. We ordered the salt and pepper fish filet which was just crispy and seasoned to perfection. Nothing beats a good fried dish like salt and pepper fish. Beef black bean noodle is comfort food. In Korea, in China, and now here in Redlands. Mix it all and enjoy a messy, yummy black bean noodle. Finally, the Eggplant tofu was a nice steaming hot vegetable to add. The sauce was impeccable and each bite burned your insides, so maybe wait a little before taking a bite. But when you do, the eggplant and tofu are gonna explode with flavor. Everything was a savory feast and phew, I think I'm gonna be back here very soon!

First time to JW China Wok in Redlands CA. A small family owned restaurant where the owner is the cook and his wife part of the wait staff. We ordered the Westlake Beef Soup, Eggplant with tofu, Fish Fillet with Black Bean and Beef Chow Fun. The food was truly great. It reminded me of the foods I had in San Francisco's Chinatown. The thickened black bean sauce over white rice was delicious. The soft eggplant contrasted with firm tofu was another favorite. Our overall favorite dish was the Westlake Beef Soup. We would definitely come back when we're in the area. It's a real hidden gem.

Stopped by to grab a bite for dinner. Only ordered two dishes, I've not tried before. Didn't really care for the texture of the small shrimp in the cashew shrimp dish, too much celery too. Could be how they preserve the shrimp. Maybe grille it a bit. Dry spicy beef, it's got chili oil so you can order mild or hotter. It's ok nothing special because the meat is a bit chewy due to its grade of meat imo ! Won't order these dishes again though. Will try something else next time. Bathrooms are clean. Service is fine. No beer or wine No Liquor License Soft drinks are by the can. Not impressed with that either!

Was craving Chinese food and found this place. The servers were friendly and funny. I asked for a recommendation and they suggested the boiled fish with chili oil. The serving size was much bigger than I expected. Definitely got my money's worth. And the flavor was soooo good. I would definitely come back here again if I'm in the area

Food - best jjajangmyeon in the area. The noodles are a little thin though so ask for the thicker noodles which makes it taste even better. You can also ask for the red pepper flakes too. 10/10 would recommend. Service: - awesome staff who were always around and welcoming. I also mentioned that they didn't have the jjajang on their uber eats and they put it in right away too! Ambiance: - diner like feel. Lots of booths for people to sit. Will definitely be coming back to try out their other dishes.

I ordered Mongolian beef it tasted horrible like fish. I understand they use certain ingredients but this was overwhelming fishy taste gross. It also had no spicy to them.

For a Saturday at 4:30pm, we were seated and waited on immediately. The menu was expansive and I was surprised with the amount of vegetarian options for a Chinese restaurant. Our server was helpful in suggesting various fish options and knew their wait times. Some notable dishes were the sizzling beef with black pepper, beef scallion rolls, honey walnut chicken, mapo tofu, and fried chicken. The dishes that could be improved for flavor were the vegetarian steamed dumplings, steamed whole fish, and beef chow fun. We probably ordered around 8-10 plates (all dishes came with rice) and many arrived at the same time. The prices were very reasonable for the portions and it was just enough for everyone. Since we had a birthday celebrant, they were able to put our personal cake in the fridge. Our server provided a complimentary matcha cheesecake and candle towards the end of our meal. His robot server sidekick also sang happy birthday! I did feel like they were understaffed because the lobby hostess had to find the server for me several times when I asked for our cake and the check. Overall, it's a great place for large groups and celebrations.

When we arrived, the hostess attempted to seat us at a table that would not have comfortably accommodated our group. I politely asked if we could be seated at a nearby table that had more space. In response, she rolled her eyes and let out an audible sigh, which felt unprofessional and dismissive. When we were eventually seated at the requested table, she placed the menus down abruptly and did not hand one to me directly, instead leaving it at the end of the table. The interaction came across as unnecessarily rude and, frankly, not in line with the level of service I would expect from a hostess. That said, I want to note that the rest of our experience was positive. Our server was friendly, attentive, and provided excellent service throughout our meal. The food itself was also very good (I would not recommend the orange chicken though) and something I would return for. I hope management takes the opportunity to address the front-of-house experience, as first impressions matter and can significantly impact a guest's overall perception. Honestly, I don't always expect standout service at Asian spots (and I say that as someone who is Asian), but this place went above and beyond. There were multiple servers helping throughout, bringing food, refilling drinks, checking in, and everyone was genuinely friendly and attentive. As someone who waited tables for years, that level of service really stood out. They even brought us complimentary egg tarts since they were closing soon, which was a nice touch. You can also watch the dumpling makers through a glass window, which adds to the experience and gives off slight Din Tai Fung vibes, but without the long drive. It's family-friendly, great for sharing, and just a fun, satisfying meal overall. Definitely a spot I'll be coming back to.

I've grown up in the area and have branched out to living all over california. However the sense of entitlement the locals here have is insane. China Town Fast Food has delivered good tasting AND affordable Chinese-American food for quite some time! The portions are the best bang for your buck in the Loma Linda area, and the staff is also very nice. There are language barriers to some extent and a plastic wall that could make it hard to hear for both the customer and the server, but pointing fingers at the food and putting extra emphasis on enunciating my words have always helped, and if they can't hear, both the customer and the server can go to the side to hear each other clearly. The place is also small and can easily get packed during the rush hour. There are usually only TWO people in the front and a cook in the back, so I believe it's very key to have patience for when you go out during these hours. In all forms of service whether it be food, retail, etc. please remember that they are still human and working at a pace that tries to accommodate for us. In hours closer to closing, it does slow down and it does get quieter, I believe those are the best times to go when it's not so busy. Food wise, I'd highly recommend getting their Orange Chicken and House Special Fried Chicken. The orange chicken has a nice bit of sweetness, tangyness, and crunch to each bite and the House Special is just that... it's SPECIAL! Freshly fried chicken, usually about a 10-15 minute wait. Paired with a side of a garlicky, green oniony, shoyu sauce helps create just the perfect bite when combined with some rice. Their teriyaki chicken is also very delicious with a beautiful char on the outside. It's not your typical, Seattle, Japanese-esque teriyaki chicken, but it will taste very good! I hope this review helps with all the negative feedback I'm seeing and introduces you all to a classic spot to check out. Enjoy the food and have a great day!

This place is just different in the most positive way. I've had Thai food before at regular sit-down spots with little to no vibe, but the atmosphere here truly elevates the whole experience. It creates the perfect setting for the food. The Pad Thai, crab fried rice, chicken wings, and the Ka Pow were all incredible, but the sauces... seriously, the sauces deserve their own shout-out! Every dish just hit perfectly. The drinks were amazing too, the Kinnari was fruity, tasty, and just perfect. Overall, a solid 10/10. I'll definitely be coming back

The cocktails were tasty and presentable. Food is a decent size and shareable. However, I must say they lack ingredients like for curry it was really watery and plain, it didn't have veggies like I would get from other restaurants, there were some chicken pieces and a few tiny bits of potato. The crab fried rice and beef pad see eww didn't have that much protein but it's alright since there's equal veggies mixed in. Chicken wings were good but I would pass on the egg rolls, it was gritty and dry in my opinion. Mango sticky rice is not bad, your typical dessert like other places. The wait for bigger parties can take some time on weekend or peak time since it's a small restaurant. There's a few bigger tables all the way in the back of the restaurant. 20% gratuity is required for parties of 5 or more.

They have so many options to choose from. From seafood to Mongolian grill. They have plenty of sushi options as well. Food is good. Most of the food is fresh. I love their salt n pepper soft shell crabs, sooo good. Service is okay, it is a little tricky to call over a worker for a refill or a crab cracker. The only downside is the bathrooms are not the cleanest. Smells like urine and they always have the men's bathroom open. The sushi and sashimi were decent--no fishy smell, no slimy texture, which is always the bare minimum and thankfully passed. That said, not to be mean, but some Yelp reviews calling this "FRESH SUSHI" and handing out 5 stars clearly have never tried truly fresh, great seafood. This is buffet-level fresh, and that's okay--just keep expectations realistic. If you're a crab leg fan, those were also decent and not overly salty like some other buffets I've been to. One thing to note: weekends get insanely crowded, so be prepared for that. That said, during our visit, the servers were actually attentive. The plates cleared quickly and drinks refilled without having to hunt anyone down. Overall, it was a satisfying experience, I left full, and most importantly... no food poisoning . For a buffet, that's a win. Would I come back? Yeah, probably. Just not on a packed weekend.
