Today, my husband found a hair fried into the batter of his popcorn lobster roll. It was wrapped around the piece of "lobster," making it clear the hair was there during preparation--not something that fell onto the food afterward. It also raises concerns about basic food safety practices, including whether proper hair restraints were being used by whoever prepared the meal. He quietly brought it to the staff's attention, and they simply took the plate away. No apology. No follow-up. To make matters worse, we were still charged for the contaminated roll. We mentioned it again when paying and, again, received no apology and no offer to remove the charge. Mistakes can happen. What shouldn't happen is dismissing a legitimate food safety concern and charging customers for contaminated food without so much as an apology.

I made my Fried Rice worse by unnecessarily adding soy sauce to it. The dish already contained enough. For entrees Diane ordered Grilled Seabass, and was pleased with its taste, but later realized that she likes more traditional teppan grill choices better, like the Filet and Shrimp Combination that I selected. Everyone at my table received two shrimps anyway, but I was given a total of eight, since six were included as part of my chosen entree. The Filet reached me medium rare as ordered, but continued to cook on my plate. Grilled noodles and vegetables added immensely to my enjoyment of the meal. And hot Green Tea washed everything down well for me. Service was very good, and our grill master demonstrated superior knife skills.
