I have been going to Sushi Ok for years, but never did a Yelp review until today. This is not an all You can eat which I appreciate because it means they use really high quality products. I have found my favorites and have them most often, but I like to venture into new rolls and I'm never disappointed. The staff is always welcome, friendly and provide amazing service. During the pandemic we ate here once a week to keep supporting local businesses and they knew me by name. This is a hidden gem If you go for a birthday they have flashing neon lights and crazy music that plays that make you feel emboldened and special all at once. Walking in, we were automatically greeted and seated. There are a variety of tables, spaciously separated, with fairy lights on the ceiling. You could also sit at the sushi bar, if you prefer. And there are a variety of tvs. When we went, it was featuring the world cup; no audio and some tvs had captions. Music was playing at a good level. Menu features lots of options. Some of us were craving sushi and the other half had bowls (beef bulgogi, spicy pork bowl, orange chicken). Our meals were served around the same time and waiters regularly checked on our refills and if we needed anything. At one point, music turned loud and lights flashed, to celebrate someone's bday so something to be aware of that they do. Overall, our dining experience was satisfying. I was a big fan of the salmon carpaccio and the super sexy bowl. The fish tasted fresh and portions are large so you get your moneys worth. My companion did mention that their bulgogi had more onion than meat which was visibly notable. Definitely aim to visit again and will recommend this spot to others. read more

Came here to get a quick lunch on a Saturday. The place was not busy and they have plenty of seating inside. Service was fast and staff were all friendly. This place looked like a typical sushi spot inside and it looked like they even do hibachi here. The food was all really good and we were pleasantly surprised. Food and Service Not OK! We used to come to this place every other week, or at least once a month, because we really liked it. Unfortunately, today we had the worst experience. I ordered the salmon teriyaki plate. The menu says the salmon is cooked/grilled, but mine was clearly fried. It was extremely dry and overcooked. I mentioned it to the waitress, and all she said was that it could be a little dry because the sauce is served on the side. I explained that it wasn't a little dry--it was very dry and definitely not grilled as advertised. She acted like that was completely normal, which was very disappointing. When you're paying $25 for a plate, you expect good quality and flavor. Sadly, both the food and the customer service have gone downhill. I can no longer recommend this place. If you're thinking about trying it, be aware that you may end up wasting your money on a disappointing meal and poor service. read more

We love coming here - it's become one of our regular top spots for a best friend catch up. We order tons of items and drinks, and everything has been super awesome. Our favorites are: 911 roll, spicy garlic edamame, BSCR roll, Hawaiian Crunch App (the best!), but we've had so many. Would like to try the noodles or entrees at some point, but the sushi keeps us coming back. The staff is friendly and attentive. The restaurant is a pretty open floor plan, except for some larger group tables up front. Ample seating and even though they were busy, it never felt crowded. During our visit, the servers were hustling and food was out fast! I choose this place because they had tv's and luckily, they had on the football game during out visit which is what we were hoping for. The inside is nicely decorated though out. It has a very great vibe. If it's your birthday, they turn the lights off and play a fun birthday song while bringing out a dessert. Witnessed several that evening and the entire restaurant started clapping to support. There is tons of seating in the waiting area...more than any other restaurant I've seen. We went to Sushi OK for dinner on a Friday night and had such a great experience! My fiancé ordered a Sapporo and I had a glass of plum wine (Umeshu)--so smooth and delicious. For dinner, he got the beef teriyaki bowl and absolutely loved it. I went for sushi since I hadn't had any in a while, and wow--so worth the wait! This has to be the best sushi spot in riverside. They have a lot of variety and styles that they serve. One thing i love about this place is that they always have my favorites... Toro, uni, mirugai, and kobe beef sashimi. If you're into live sushi, on the weekends they usually have live sweet shrimp too. Another positive is the size of the interior. The sushi chefs really care about quality and experience and if you can sit at the bar you'll get to know them a little better, some seem a little quiet at first but once you get to know them they're all very personable.
