We came on a wednesday night, and they were hella busy. There were only two servers working with a basically packed restuarant and bar. The bar seating was empty so I opted to eat there. The sushi chefs behind the counter were super friendly and mostly spoke Korean. I ended up ordering the akimoto (monkfish) appetizer and dinner sushi combo B which comes with nigiri and your choice of roll. I chose the yellowtail fashion roll. I enjoyed the akimoto. It came with 3 pieces topped with roe and it tasted the way it's supposed to. The nigiri was a good selection of fish and the quality was good! I liked the yellowtail roll the least. The fried shrimp wasn't crispy and I didn't really care for the spicy tuna inside. I am not a huge fan of rolls so I wasn't expecting much anyway. Holy moly! I didn't expect Riverside to have one of the best sushi places I've had in a while. While I feel like most of the sushi places in OC have gone down in quality, the sushi served here was absolutely delicious! Sushi OK has become our go to sushi spot in Riverside. It sits in an unassuming shopping plaza which includes a Starbucks and post office. There is plenty of parking available so even on the busiest of nights there should be no problem. The vibe inside is chill and definitely family friendly. They have a wall decorated with Polaroids in the shape of a ship which I find really cool. There interior lighting is accented with LED Christmas lights on the ceiling. The food is great and keeps us coming back. I recommend the spicy garlic edamames as a starter. My wife's appetite and mine are sometimes out of sync and sometimes I am not too hungry when I come here. In those cases, I opt for getting a spicy California hand roll which really hits the spot if you are only slightly hungry. They offer complimentary ice cream as well which I always take advantage of at the end of a meal. The food is always served in a timely manner in my experience. I haven't been there with the restaurant too packed so I can't speak to the busiest of times but I've never sat too long before receiving my order.
