First timer here! I had a wonderful experience! Omakase was really good! The price point is average for quality sushi. Omakase is a dining style where you trust your chef to choose the freshest ingredients and curate your dining experience. The chef didn't let us down! We usually bring a bottle of wine with us but the corkage fee was $25 so we opted to just get a bottle of their Sauvignon blanc. I forgot the name but it was in the $35-$40 range and I enjoyed it! Maybe a little too much as I was buzzed pretty quickly lol. The staff was nice and welcoming. I always recommend sitting at the bar. I love being able to chat with the chef and observe how he cuts fish and makes nigiri. The inside of the restaurant is clean and modern with sleek lines and simple yet elevated features. The ambiance was really nice. The appetizer plate was a great start. There were so many things on the plate and I must say my favorite was the cute little deep fried crab! It looked a little intimidating at first but it was love at first crunch. The fish was fresh. The sushi rice was made perfectly. The servings were nice. The chef even asked us if we were still hungry and he'd make us a hand roll. Usually I would want to try but I was stuffed! I finished the meal with matcha mochi ice cream. Yum! Can't wait to visit again!

Sushi lovers must try! This spot is the real deal. Skip the cheap, go to sushi spots around town and make Momo your next destination for all things sushi. Fresh. Fresh. Fresh. Loved everything we tried. And the service was great. Absolutely best sushi experience in Riverside.

An Unforgettable Omakase Experience with Chef Garu Hands down one of the best sushi omakase experiences I've ever had. Chef Garu is truly a master of his craft. Every course was thoughtfully prepared, impeccably fresh, and beautifully presented. You can immediately feel the passion and precision behind each bite. Chef Garu takes the time to explain the fish, the sourcing, and the technique, which makes the experience feel intimate and special rather than rushed. The balance of flavors, textures, and temperature was flawless--each piece melted in your mouth and somehow outdid the last. This isn't just a meal; it's an experience. From the warm hospitality to the attention to detail, everything was elevated. If you're a true sushi lover or looking for a memorable omakase, Chef Garu is an absolute must. Worth every penny, and I can't wait to return

Was in the area for Castlepark, and family was craving sushi. Out of the several options in the area, we found this location and it didn't disappoint. I wouldn't expect quality and tasty sushi out in Riverside, but this place exceeded my expectations. Each roll was made with attention to detail, good portions and fresh ingredients. Staff were friendly, and they mentioned whether we had made reservations. But we did not, and they were still able to get our party of 9 in with no problem. There is a separate side room good for larger parties as well as a huge group if needed. Decor is modern, and clean. Our server was wonderful, she was friendly, good at explaining the dishes, and was prompt with refilling our drinks or letting us know it's their last call. Cost is roughly $20+ for each roll, and they also offer an Omakase option which is pretty cool to see. This place is above the standard sushi places I've visited before, as each dish stood out and tasty.

Always an amazing experience! The fish is amazing and the best I've ever had anywhere! We've eaten at Nobu too and this is such a special treat that I wish more people knew what a gem we have here!! As I eat the salmon, I close my eyes so that I can focus on the texture and taste of the fish. It takes me away from my stresses to just focus on this one piece of perfection! That's the gift here- Bliss Order anything and you'll be amazed how much better it is here than any other sushi place you've been! The inside is nice too they decorated for Christmas lol

I forgot to take pictures but the meal was really yummy! I like that they don't use imitation crab Service was great! And the restaurant had a nice ambiance. I would go back again to try more of their food!

Frist time here. The service was okay. We ordered a few different plates of fresh Sushi was very tasteful. Will definitely come back to try some other types of Sushi and Bento Plates. The prices were average. One of the better places in Riverside to eat fresh Japanese food.

Save your money, save yourself the trip ,it's not even not even mid it's subpar at best ,the food was was edible ...that's all I have to say I understand taste is subjective but for the price i expect alot more ,highly let down .Service was okay ,they weren't that busy when I came and the waitress didn't check in with us at all which is whatever that's not impactful towards my review,my review is mostly in reference to the actual food. Ambiance is chill and cozy .

The second time here was just as good as the first! Sushi was fresh and amazing and this go around we tried the chirashi bowl which really impressed me! All of the fish in the bowl was delicious and a solid value for around $30. Unfortunately, they were out of the gindara which was one of my favorites from last time, but there were plenty of other options. The engawa, sake toro and smoked albacore stood out to me. The only one I wasn't too much of a fan of was the Spanish mackerel. Overall, an amazing sushi place and hands down the best in the IE. Definitely on the pricier side but well worth it for a special occasion.

I have seen this place pops up on Yelp and I always want to try out. So i stopped by. This spot seems like a hidden gem with great sushi they serve. I first tried out Omakase $80 option. It turns out great, fish is fresh and the chief is friendly. I don't eat eel, he was able to accommodate me with some things else. Love to go back again sometime.

Everything tastes incredible and I feel that even non vegetarians can enjoy their food. The Bo luc lac was superb, the sauce was sooo delicious. Honestly if I can take a jar of that sauce they used to make the shaken beef, I'd pour it over everything lol. They used a ton of watercress though and I'm not the biggest fan of watercress. I understand it's a salad but damn the ratio of watercress to "beef" is insane. The salt and pepper shrimp was also good and the sauce that paired with it had a spicy kick! They've got a big menu so I def want to come back to try their other items! Service was great. Everyone was very helpful and communicative and appreciated any feedback we had. Felt very welcoming!

Many dishes I've tried I would get again. The dining area is cozy with plenty of booth and table seating. The staff and service are always friendly and attentive. If you're adventurous with food or you are vegetarian/vegan, there are plenty of choices depending on what you're craving. From soups to rice dishes, vegan and raw entrées you won't find anywhere else. Most of the "meat" textures are pleasant and close to the real thing. A few of my current favorites: * Chicken Lemongrass has been my go-to and one of the cooked dishes I'll recommend for anyone who still eats meat. Comes with salad and black rice. * Wonton Soup has a clean, yet flavorful mushroom broth without being heavy. The wonton is tender with soy protein and mushrooms inside. * Humanese (Living Soup) is creamy and smooth with a pleasant flavor. * Yellow Noodles were a delicious bowl of light yet savory mushroom broth, fresh ingredients, a mix of vegan proteins, and thin noodles. * BBQ "Pork" Roll is a light starter with a tasty peanut sauce. * Salt & Peppered "Shrimp" - I enjoyed this, and the texture is close to an actual shrimp * The Paella is a pleasant and tasty surprise, with big slices of avocado and a blend of fresh, clean ingredients. * Bun No.35 is a refreshing, hearty dish that fills you up without feeling heavy. Pour the vegan fish sauce over the ingredients and mix well! * Curried Rice has a cool presentation, and the live food and fresh ingredients are delicious and filling. A few of my friends also enjoyed this dish. * Green Papaya Salad is a nice shareable classic dish with fresh ingredients, and the spice level is mild to medium. Elixirs, juices, teas, and smoothies can satisfy your taste buds and your body. Vegan desserts are also worth a try. Recently, they added vegan cakes! I'm looking forward to returning and trying more dishes!

Came here to celebrate a girlfriend's birthday…read more Our party had 3 people and we came for an early dinner on a weekday. There was maybe one or two other parties there. Their menu specializes in Korean style premium seafood items. They have the option of live or not. They had different set options and items you can get a la carte. We went with their live fish and sashimi set C. We also got some live shrimp and live octopus to try. I love that the staff was super knowledgeable and explained everything to us. The live set included a lot of side dishes. It also included halibut and flounder, a platter of abalone, sea cucumber, cold soup, hot fish soup, calamari and vegetable tempura. All of which were amazing and tasted very fresh. The live octopus was definitely an experience. They tasted fresh and sweet and were very actively moving. If you want to try it I would definitely recommend trying it here. The chef was nice enough to have us try two types of nigiri. Both were amazing and fatty. The whole dinner was quite an experience. Since there were so many dishes they made sure to go in order but not rush us since many items were coming out. The staff was super attentive. Many items came with its own sauce so they made sure we were doing it right. We spent about $400 for 3 people which included alcohol. I thought it was fair especially for how fresh our seafood was. The inside of the restaurant is pretty casual but clean. You can also see most of the seafood items. I recommend if if you want live seafood items Korean style. We will be back.

I was amazed at the attention to detail throughout our entire meal. Food 5 -we ordered several menu items so just a couple of stand outs to touch on. I think you cannot come to Queens without ordering the point break platter, which is an array of oysters and other seafood offerings. Delicious!! Another standout is the pimento cheeseburger. I think pimento is my new favorite cheese! There are a few pimento offerings, so when you go, you must try one of them!! I live in Long Beach and Queens is in Los Angeles so the drive is a little tough, but if I lived in the neighborhood, I would love to stop and have a bowl of soup with a pimento cheese sandwich once a week. Simple sounding but I am drooling thinking about it now. Maybe I would come on a Monday since it's $10 Martini Mondays. Soooooo Good! The setting for this place has an indoor harbour/library feel with the oyster bar in the center of it all. Why are customers expected to pay for restaurant employees' healthcare? Who pays for the customers' healthcare? I've seen similar charges at other restaurants, but they usually remove it upon request. This restaurant refused to do so. If it's not optional, it should be clearly disclosed upfront. It feels unfair to force customers to pay this without prior notice.

There is a combo order of both, but it includes the American marinated crab and an extra small live uni. With their recommendation, we opted for the Korean marinated crab and small uni to share with 2 adults and one kid. When the food came out, they gave us another live uni on the house and I was so happy because I didn't want to share mine! The food was so homey and delicious. The seafood pajeon was so loaded with all the seafood bits and the soy bean soup was the perfect palette cleanser. Service was great and they were so helpful to answer any questions we had. The marinated crab was very delicious, and spicy crab was even better, but the marinated crab is definitely higher quality, so if you want to get the best of both worlds order both or get the combo. When we finished ordering, appetizers came immediately and basically covered the whole table, and as a Korean restaurant with such warm hospitality I assume you can get more side dishes if you want, but we didn't want to waste any food. All dishes tasted great. The uni wasn't very surprising but it's still good, so if you are doing à la carte you can skip it. All in all a 5+ for the restaurant, also the restroom seems pretty clean so it's another plus for this smallish restaurant.
