First time here, but not the last. We enjoyed the quality of the food and the presentation. The lunch AYCE price was right for us. The ambiance and service met our expectations, however, it is the food we will be coming back for. The place is very clean, including the kitchen (as far as I could see on my way to the restroom) and bathroom. I highly recommend this restaurant.

My boyfriend and I came here for all-you-can-eat hot pot and sushi, and we honestly could not be more impressed. From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations. The price alone blew our minds and after we finished eating, we genuinely double-checked the bill to make sure they didn't forget to charge us extra because of how much we ate. The value is unreal. The food was incredibly fresh and delicious, with some of the best cuts of fish I've ever had in my life. Every roll tasted clean, high-quality, and perfectly prepared. We both left completely stuffed, amazed that we were able to eat that much incredible food for such a budget-friendly price. The staff was extremely kind, welcoming, and accommodating, which made the experience even better. The restaurant itself was very clean and had such a cozy, inviting ambience, especially with the Christmas lights, it felt warm and comforting the moment we walked in. My boyfriend was just as impressed as I was, both with the service and the quality of the food. We're genuinely so grateful we decided to take a chance and come here today. This place has officially become a go-to dinner spot, and we will absolutely be recommending it to all of our friends and family. If you're looking for amazing all-you-can-eat sushi and hot pot that's delicious, filling, affordable, and welcoming, this is the place. We will 100% be back. I wish I had taken more pictures of the well presented food but I was too busy eating!! Haha

Diet Pepsi Cup with unknown caked substance in it.

The service isn't too great but nothing horrible, my finances cup was dirty and had an unknown substance on the inside. To top it all off, the crabmeat was spoiled and tasted vile. Definitely wouldn't return. We were way too nervous to ask for a refund, Do not eat here. This is my very first review and I feel as if it was very needed...

Premium sushi (limit 1 per person)
Raquel M.

The premium jumbo scallop and salmon belly is excellent. It was a shame it's only one per person because I definitely wanted more. The nigiri was good and had a nice rice to fish ratio. The service was friendly but we had to ask for things like regular soy sauce and refills on drinks multiple times before we got them. We were patient and the servers were kind so we didn't mind much. I will say I was looking forward to trying the spicy tuna crispy rice pictured on yelp... but it's wasn't on the all you can eat menu. Overall it was a pleasant experience and good food.

Me And My Girlfriend Decided To Try A Different Sushi Spot From Our Usual, It's Not Bad Just Different. The Restaurant Is Nice, Could Be A Little Cleaner. The Service Seems A Little Disorganized, Our Plates Got Left On Our Table For Sometime And If You Get One Of The Little Booths It's A Tight Squeeze. The Owner Is Super Nice.

Amazing service Amazing food Great sushi Clean Owner is delightful Honestly I really like this place it's so amazing try it

Frosty beer. Kick back time.

Wow it is scorching hot today . And I need a Friday afternoon kick back beer . Here I am. I like the vibe here - especially the outdoor patio area - pretty romantic. This could be my Friday / weekend spot for relaxing kick back. Happy Friday.

Hot Cheeto roll

I came with a group and we ordered all you can eat. You get 3 rounds and there is a wide variety of options. Some of my favorites were the hot cheeto roll, salmon delight, and Philadelphia roll. I also liked the Jalapeño poppers and chicken teriyaki appetizer. The service was good and I would come back.

Seared *VIRAL* Jumbo 7PC Salmon Nigiri

$30 for flavorless seared salmon nigiri with way more rice than salmon. Didn't taste as fresh as I hoped either. I should have known it would be bad because it came with spicy mayo. Very disappointing

Salmon, eel, and jalapeno poppers

Tried this place due to their current ayce lunch special for $27.99. Staff was friendly and polite and were willing to offer their suggestions. My favorite was the sushi taco, though its more of a tostada and a little messy to eat, but good none the less. All the fish was very fresh.

Jumbo 7PC Salmon Nigiri
Ashley V.

Placed a to go order to try their new jumbo shrimp nigiri and the food was amazing. The seared jumbo salmon is my personal favorite, I wasn't sure what to expect with the cajun seasoning but it worked perfectly. The staff was also very friendly when I picked up my order, will definitely come back to get again.

Love coming here! The ambience is always great, the music is top tier. And the owner and staff are all so kind and friendly, amazing service always. The food is great, i recommend and will continue coming back.

Environment: Playing jpop which is a great touch. Floor was a little sticky. Saw some gnats. Food: No squid or ikura. Bummer. Inari is bad. Tastes like it was soaking in bad water. Unagi (eel) sushi was great. Easily the best thing here. Nice char, and not too much sauce. Yellowtail is also great. Tako was chewy, but that's to be expected. Not bad. Oishii: no rice, imitation crab with some sashimi wrapped in cucumber. Not bad, but mostly tasted of imitation crab. Tamago: not bad, but I've had much better from similar places around here. Sushi taco: sashimi on deep fried tortilla. Fun concept, but very difficult to eat, and shell was more greasy than crispy. The cilantro and sauce on it are really good and go well with the sashimi though. Salmon sushi: was on the lean side without stripes of marbling you usually see. Flavor wasn't bad. Tempura was lackluster. Didn't have kabocha or sweet potato. The the sauce was strangely thick and sweet. Service: I came right at opening and there was an inexperienced server, but he did a great job! Seems like he didn't have any help for serving the whole restaurant, but did the best he could. Strange thing happened. I asked for cucumber with the yellow tail cut roll, and they asked if I wanted it with or without avocado. I've never heard of this coming with avocado in all sushi places I've been to. It doesn't say it on the all you can eat menu, and it isn't listed in the pictured menu either. Sad to say, I'll probably go down the street to sushi okoku next time.

Awesome place with wonderful owners We love it here, owner gave us a bottle on the house. Thank you so much taiyo's sushi

How much is the all you can eat? 06/2024

About 30

I am here now and there is a lock box on the door. Looks like they shut down?

No, they are very open and AYCE

How much is AYCE here?

I believe it's $33 now a person

How much is the AYCE per person for Lunch and Dinner?

A lot and seems a bit much for one day.

Are you still doing take out AYCE specials?

Never.

Is there still a 2 for $30 AYCE speacial?

Yes before 3pm after 3 it's 2 for $40 with the special you have to ask for it though

How much is AYCE lunch?

I'm uncertain.. I'd give them a buzz to get pricing on lunch . I know their ayce is decent for it being local

Do you have katsu donburi?

yes, they have chicken and pork katsu

How much is AYCE during dinner time?

24.99 regularly

Is brown rice available for your sushi rolls and nigiri sushi?

Unfortunately, that wasn't offered to me as an alternative to the white rice . I would call the establishment prior to dining . Overall the food & customer service was awesome.

What really blew us away right off the bat was the massive menu. Sometimes all-you-can-eat spots skimp on the options, but this place has an incredible variety of rolls, appetizers, and fresh cuts to choose from, making it hard to decide where to start. The food itself absolutely lived up to the hype. Doing all-you-can-eat sushi can sometimes be a gamble, but the quality and freshness here are top tier. Every roll we ordered was beautifully presented and tasted fantastic, with perfect fish-to-rice ratios. We tried so many different things from their huge selection, and not a single dish disappointed us. It is clear they care about the ingredients they are serving. The absolute highlight of our night, though, was the phenomenal service we received from our waiter, Cole. He was absolutely amazing, super attentive, and incredibly friendly from start to finish. Good service can really make or break an all-you-can-eat experience, and Cole went above and beyond to make sure our orders came out fast and our table was taken care of. We are already planning our next trip back and will definitely be asking to sit in his section!

We went on a Saturday at 6pm without joining the waitlist as yelp said we didn't need to. Our experience vs recent yelp reviews was overall pretty damn positive. The only thing that is true that every other review mentions is yes they add auto gratuity so when you get your check the option is there to still add a tip which if you don't pay attention can lead to you giving a 25%+ tip without realizing it. The service we had was fast, I still don't know who our server was because about 6 different people kept asking us if we needed anything. Our tablet worked fine and we were able to order everything from it without having it malfunctioning or not working as some others have stated. One odd thing to mention is the soda cup is about 2x as big as the water cup. The sushi itself tasted good, however my girlfriend and I try to get our moneys worth so we normally only pick nigiri and the standard apps, and avoid any kind of rolls. Our take is on the carpaccio, seared salmon, tuna, and escolar, and fresh water eel. All the nigiri we had weren't "fishy" or tasted not fresh or whatever some of the other reviews mentioned but again we didn't have any of the items other people have complained about. So if you're looking for an AYCE sushi place and are tryna get your moneys worth I'd say it's a good place to go.

Did anything happen at this place in the last few months?…read more The nigiris looked like they were made with some leftover scrap fish. I remember the fish to be decent here for an ayce. The rise in fuel and grocery prices seems to be clearly having an effect on people cutting back on eating out. This time I began with a Spicy Tuna Roll, which was very well made and quickly prepared. Then I had a bowl of Miso Soup and a bowl of Clear Soup with Onion Straws, followed by two rather basic salads with Thousand Island-like dressing. The soups were hot and tasty, although they they were likely loaded with sodium. From there we moved on to Fried Rice with egg, corn, White Onion, mushrooms, carrots, and peas for me, and Steamed White Rice for Diane. I made my Fried Rice worse by unnecessarily adding soy sauce to it. The dish already contained enough. For entrees Diane ordered Grilled Seabass, and was pleased with its taste, but later realized that she likes more traditional teppan grill choices better, like the Filet and Shrimp Combination that I selected. Everyone at my table received two shrimps anyway, but I was given a total of eight, since six were included as part of my chosen entree. The Filet reached me medium rare as ordered, but continued to cook on my plate. Grilled noodles and vegetables added immensely to my enjoyment of the meal. And hot Green Tea washed everything down well for me. Service was very good, and our grill master demonstrated superior knife skills. After eleven years of living in the IE, it was finally time to try it. Our family entered the restaurant not knowing what to expect. Inside the restaurant was a nice bar area with only two sushi chefs working. We were quickly seated and offered menus and drinks. The waiter explained that the AYCE option had no time limit with only three rounds. If there was anything not listed on the AYCE that we wanted to try, we could write it in the comments section. He then asked if we have ever been to Joe's. We told him it was our first time. He came back a little while later with an appetizer platter (gyoza, crab Rangoon) and another platter of shrimp tempura on the house. Despite two chefs manning the bar, orders came flying out at rapid speed. Multiple plates of sushi made our way to the table that they started filling an adjoining table with our dishes. We ordered a bunch of Cajun tuna nigiri which was generously portioned but could have used more Cajun seasoning. The yellowtail nigiri was light and fatty. My wife loved the Tokyo Night roll, a spicy tuna topped with tuna and cilantro which made an impact with the cilantro offering a contrasting, refreshing bite. Tuna Tornado was another similar roll with spicy ahi and seared tins on top. Unfortunately, we ordered so much that we only lasted one round My wife bravely asked, "who is Joe?" To that, the waitress responded that the original owner's name was Joe and it started off as a night club. Five owners later, her family took over and kept the name as Joe's was a staple in Riverside. Despite its very Americanized name, Joe's sushi offers quality, authentic sushi at a decent price point. We proudly recommend Joe's and will be back.
