The customer service from Ava was awesome--she was so helpful and made sure we got the best order for our first visit. The salmon was delicious with great flavor, and the swai was a light, tasty fish that I really enjoyed. The Brussels sprouts were the highlight of the meal, perfectly grilled with just the right amount of char. The asparagus was also very good and came with a nice sauce. The prices are reasonable, making it a great value for the quality of the food. There's also plenty of indoor seating, so it's a comfortable place to dine. I'm only giving it a 4 Star because I HATE ordering at a kiosk. For as much help I needed it would have been easier to just place my order with a person. She had to help the two ladies in front of me, too. But that being said the food was delicious. I was disappointed that they didn't have blackened tilapia. But the lady suggested I get it well done. Been loving fish lately and this place was AMAZING. It was soooo good, the lobster nachos are a 20/10. Highly recommend to share w your family and friends. I had only been to California Fish grill once before many years ago but after browsing their app i decided to stop by to give it a second chance. Inside is pretty spacious and now the have self serve kiosks but the staff was still very helpful with any questions we had. Ordering was very easy and our food came out quick. I was really surprised with how big the portions were for the price. I got the swai and salmon combo and both were really good . I also got the ceaser salad as a side and it was really fresh. I used to love eating at California Fish Grill over the last 20 years or so there was one near my old house and all I remember is how bomb it was for a cheap fast seafood fix. Sooo first I noticed a handful of workers standing around directing me to order at the giant iPad thing.. ok fine. To my surprise no fried calamari I was craving it and it's unavailable so that was a bummer. I don't know I was a little disappointed in the changes. Went for a quick takeaway. Ordered on the app and the food was prepped when I arrived 10 minutes later. Once you enter, there's a line for dine in and another for quick pick up. I got some battered-fish and some corn and salad on the side. I get the charm... and the price. The quality of the food was good. The dishes were pretty warm and also filling. I also tried some of the shrimp and it wasn't that bad. This place could be a good alternative for some healthy seafood dishes. I believe there used to be a sauce bar but it's all gone? Probably just have to ask them for it when you order. Ambiance wise, it's a quick in and out place. Love coming to California Fish Grill whenever we are in the area. They are located near the Kaiser hospital, but they have their own parking area with the other restaurants. They offer a great variety of dishes that feature seafood. My favorite are the bowls, which are very well balanced, since it comes with rice, veggies and choice of protein. It's also very convenient that you are able to order from their kiosk, which makes the ordering process much more efficient. read more

I Ate here a few weeks ago and it was great. Came back spent $95 on a few meals and some sides couldn't wait to get home and tear it up and everything was terrible all the fish was burnt and dried out looked like it had been fried once, got cold, then redipped and fried again. Been going there for a while. I enjoy the meals I usually get there. Had an experience that doesn't quite line up with a regular customer, let me explain. I entered the restaurant and it was about 1minute past 9pm they informed me that there closed, I replied that there normally open until 9:30pm, they said only on specific days there open until 9:30pm I could possibly have understand if I was 10 or more minutes late, but 1 minute past 9pm and for a regular customer, that's some SAD customer service. I know, I know your thankful for me taking the time to write a review and you will do better blah, blah blah Please try and do better by looking at it from the customers point of view and actually try and provide good customer service not just a genetic "welcome" when you come in with nothing really behind it. read more

I had the barramundi with rosemary zucchini and sliced tomato with feta. The barramundi was mild and tender, tomatoes and feta would have been nicer with more feta, and the rosemary zucchini was flavorful and firm. I still stand by with the good flavor of the food. My favorite is still the dynamite shrimp bowl with white rice, I also like the fish tacos and sub the corn tortilla with flour.
