I tried this place out for the first time over the weekend and let me just say that the flavor of the shrimp tacos that my husband and I tried was delicious. However, the portion is disappointing. At $5.75 per taco I was expecting a decent amount of shrimp in my tacos, but that is not the case here. I literally counted 4 pieces of small shrimp in one taco, which is ridiculous in my opinion. If it was 4 pieces of some tiger shrimp, which by the way is the large sized shrimp if you don't know shrimp. That would be OK but for the small size shrimp not OK. There was more cabbage & sauce than anything. The ambience was pretty chill , and the interior decoration is overall nice. My husband and I ordered from this place last night on DoorDash. We ordered al pastor tacos, a shrimp, burrito, a carnitas mulita, and a Carne Asada burrito. The burritos were OK but both had limited protein in them. Meaning there was a lot of filler instead of meat or shrimp. All of the tacos were dry. The meat was flavorful, but not juicy at all. Seemed overcooked. Also, the tortillas used were dry and partially hard. The best thing about the meal was the salsa even though we ordered meals for five people and they only gave us four containers of salsa and they are extremely small. The salsa was very flavorful both red and green. We would've liked to have had enough for each of us to at least have two or three. I don't know why taco spots are getting very stingy with salsa. It's a staple in the meal. And lastly, the mulita was disappointing. The cheese was not even melted and the Carnitas were, also, dry. It was late at night last night, and for some reason I was craving tacos. I was looking for any type of food truck or taco stand in the area. But I could not find any. Then, I saw a huge sign that said "Taco Lovers" and I thought to myself, "I am a taco lover." So I went inside and it was pretty empty. I didn't know if that was a good thing or a bad thing. But the area inside and outside seating were pretty nice. And I really love the lights that are hung on the ceiling. They are those cool open and closed sphere from IKEA. The service was good. The lady at the front was very nice and patient and recommended a few things. There is a lot of different items on the menu. I just wanted a few tacos but if I came during lunchtime I would have tried a little bit of everything. I had two tacos de asada and a quesadilla de asada. It is very over priced at this location.
