I really enjoyed this place--I've been twice now. The first time, I would've given it a solid 5/5. I got a torta and some tacos, and everything was perfect. Even my girlfriend, who's a connoisseur of Mexican food (she's from Guadalajara), really enjoyed it. The food was great, the service was amazing, and the atmosphere was super cool--kind of a mix between a sports bar and a Mexican spot. However, I went back a second time and ordered the same torta along with some quesadillas and tacos, and unfortunately, it wasn't the same quality as my first visit. It might have been because I got takeout, but it just didn't hit the same. I'll definitely be going back again to give it another try, though. Parking: Easy, open, and free. This is a very solid spot for fish tacos. I came here for the first time last week and ordered the fish and shrimp tacos, potato tacos, and the seafood cocktail. The fish and shrimp were so fresh. The fish was perfectly breaded, and the shrimp had a nice snap. I loved it. The potato tacos were a surprise. I thought I only ordered one but ended up with three. I was like, aww man, I should have paid closer attention. But the potato tacos were so good. I actually liked them even more the next day. On the first day, they had more of a potato-wedge texture; the next day, they were soft and smooth. The seafood cocktail was a miss. It needed a whole lot of everything. Pass on this. We ordered the taco box which comes with 6 tacos and we ordered it with all og fish. This was probably one of the best fish tacos I've ever had. The fish were fried perfectly and the portion sizes were also huge. We also got the north birria tacos with consume and that was also a great choice. However, the fish tacos were the star of the show. I also love how they also provide pickled onions as well. It's a pretty chill vibe inside and I like how they made it pretty colorful inside. Regardless, it's still a hole in a wall but nothing to complain. One thing I would say was that the water cups were super small. I was highly impressed and satisfied! A lowkey spot in the UCR territory. I work minutes away and coworkers haves raved about this spot. Finally had some free time to check it out and was very impressed. For the price and value of the food and beers, I might actually put it up there as a top contender in the fish tacos game! We got off the freeway near UC Riverside literally just looking for someplace to eat lunch, when we saw a feather flag advertising quesabirria tacos. This place is in a strip mall, and we had no idea how popular this place is until we walked in and realized all tables were taken and there was standing room only. I love the bright, colorful atmosphere with Mexican-themed "pop art", faux fish, and a kind of palapa over the order counter. There is a small salsa bar with your choice of red or green sauce (both are pretty hot). The people at the counter were very helpful. It appears that many people are there for the giant micheladas, because almost every table had at least a couple. I also saw a lot of ceviche ( which looked so good) being ordered. We got the quesabirria tacos, some grilled fish tacos, and carne asada nachos. The quesabirria tacos with consomme were amazing . . . so delicious, as were the grilled fish tacos, which had really big pieces of fish. The nachos were incredible--loaded with more cheese, guacamole, and carne asada than chips-- literally. We had to use a fork to scoop up the deliciousness after the chips were all gone. I didn't get a chance to take pictures of my food, I got a fried fish taco and a fried shrimp taco. The fish taco was great, the OG shrimp taco I would not get again, they fry the shrimps together instead of separately so the shrimp comes out easily off the batter when eating it, I enjoyed the nice touch of the chile. The OG fish tacos were definitely best just wish it had more creama when I asked to see if they had some to add, the response was no they only give what's in the taco just makes the taco on the dry side for me. They seem to have good deals on certain days, the inside is cute very cute decor, my biggest complaint is the restroom please put some effort in it.
