What a gem of a place! You wouldn't expect a well decorated interior from the outside streets, but upon walking in, you'd be pleasantly surprised. The ambiance is well created with the dim lights, lit bar, and sounds of ice being shaken. My fiancé and I were seated right at the middle of the bar upon opening, and our bartender named Chris (?) was extremely welcoming with a sense of humor. He gave us an ample of amount of time to review the menus. We first got an IPA and the Love me Knot. For food, we ordered some Cajun fries and the party wings with red chimichurri sauce. The wings were fantastic! The fries were very crunchy, and I wish they were a tad bit softer. For our next round of drinks, we got the Old Fashioned and the Bee's Knees. The drinks were right on par. We left after a few hours and found ourselves quite satisfied. It was a fun experience and the monthly change of words above the liquor wall is always a conversation starter. Wow what a great place. Came in on a Saturday around 8pm. The front of the building is very unassuming. Plain door with a red w on the top. Inside The place is very contemporary in design. We got a table immediately but within 30 minutes the place got more packed. Our server was very nice and checked on us often. We ordered a variety of drinks-cocktail of the week, paper plane, bitter bee, California dime and Oaxaca old fashion. These drinks were delicious. We all were happy with our choices. All employees were sooo friendly and attentive-definitely a place I want to return to for a quality cocktail when I'm in the area. Sat for about 20 min until got service got recommended the Eastside which was super good! 10/10 for the east side order the Cajun fries came out super cold 3/10 than got the Jack rose or something like that it was ok 5/10 didnt finish it. Ah it actually pains me to write this review. I loved wolfskill. For years it was my favorite place to come. The drinks are still very good, and honestly I'd give those a 4.5. They are definitely the best cocktails in the local area. However the service is maybe 1-2 stars. they do okay when there are maybe 5-10 customers, but once they have a little more (and what's considered a regular night) they struggle. I used to come and when it got crowded they managed but it's just gone downhill. I'm talking waiting 30-40 minutes for a drink and then the same amount of time to order another drink. I waited a long time and several visits before writing this. If you're at the bar you get a little better service, but still waiting a long time. If you're at a table they completely forget you. Without exaggeration, I've waited an hour for service and in that time went up multiple times for help and am met with rudeness. Some of the staff are nice and some are not. As much as I love the cocktails and the vibe, I think this last visit was my last visit. I have found then just want to grab your drink order and go. The last time we wanted food they immediately left after drink order and didn't come back until our drinks were ready 40 minutes later (I timed it). The food also, not that good. There's a menu with some fun looking cocktails on it, a solid selection of spirits, and a menu that has a few small bites you can order. When I came in (late afternoon; early evening on a Saturday), the place wasn't busy yet, so I just sat at the bar right away. The bartenders were very friendly and when they weren't busy, we had a little convo. I ordered the Interlude, which had a carrot element to it. The drink is orange! It looked and sounded really interesting and it was very tasty! The interior feels a little minimalist which gives it a clean elegance. There are definitely some elements of decor that scream 'hip', haha. It's in what looks to be a law office, there's a marquee where they change up the words often, etc. I think they're missing Edison light bulbs and I don't think their folks are required to wear tweed waistcoats. But I point these things out with slight tongue in cheek and endearingly. I'm a fan of the vibe here. I was in the area for dinner, so I stopped by this place for a drink before hand. I saw that they serve food here, but I already had my mind set on the other place. Definitely would like to come back to try more cocktails on the menu and some of their food items though. read more

We got there around 10pm on a Saturday night, and all the tables and booths were taken. We ordered our drinks and stood by the bar until something opened up. We waited for about 30 minutes before we were directed to our booth. My group tried most of the signature drinks on their menu but my favorite was the Guajira. It's made with tequila, mezcal, charred pineapple, cilantro, bell pepper, and house spicy bitters. We didn't get to try their food since the kitchen closed at 10pm. my favorite bar in Riverside! I've honestly been here so many times and it's always such a vibe. It feels like the LA bars without having to go to LA. I really love that they have a photo booth too, I'm a sucker for cute pictures. It's really aesthetic inside as well and usually has decent parking compared to DTR. So honestly this place is cute and all, but I just had the rudest and aggressive experience with someone who claimed to be the owner that I would never come here again. I was just waiting for the bathroom, they're single stall here. It was taking a while so I jingled the knob a couple times to make sure it wasn't just stuck, and knocked after it went on for like 10 minutes or so. Some dude with a shaved head came out so I was just happy to go in, but the dude paused there and was like "Are we good?" I was just like sure whatever I'm just trying to go, then the dude went on "Cuz I'm the owner of this place so I think I can go to the bathroom whenever I want!" Like I don't think I can support a business whose owner is that hostile to customers and fragile in his ego.
