    Blackberry smash
    L L.

Nice quaint place filled with Presidential portraits, old black and white photos lining the dark walls of a lower lounge with filled with mission style furniture. The upper part has a sit around bar and offers a beverage menu with specialty cocktails named in honor of a few US presidents. There are a few good items to much on, standard menu. Ordered the Blackberry Smash, fruity and strong in taste with a fresh bunch of mint and a fresh berry on top. Eye pleasing. Small for the price but powerful. I didn't wanna drink anything on an empty stomach so the bartender was kind enough to offer me chips and salsa on the house. Kind attentive staff. Good or nostalgic theme music which is very uplifting five flatscreen TVs showing major league baseball. Quiet and unassuming for a presidential lounge. It has more the feel of old simple, colonial vibe, not modern day luxury chic. Casual, comfortable and low-key. The prices are a little on the high side. I probably standard for a nice clean hotel relaxed lounge.

Great bar at the Mission Inn. A historic location with a lot of history to learn about if you ask the bartenders. It is a small bar with limited seating so plan ahead. SERVICE: These bartenders are great. They are very attentive and try to get your drinks quickly. We tried a few :) and they all tasted great. A pretty good selection of whiskeys! If you are staying at Mission Inn or just there to check out downtown...give this bar a try!

Possibly one of the best Old Fashioneds I've ever had

I had FOUR of these and then crawled up to the fourth floor to my room. (Gorgeous btw). Sat with a group of five in the indoor "patio" area of the lounge and had great service! Was one of the best cocktails I've had in a long time and the tajin fries were on point. This spot is the real deal

    Empanadas and tajin fries

We decided to go here for drinks and appetizers before going to see all the lights and decor at The Mission Inn. This restaurant honors 10 US presidents who have stayed at or visited the Mission Inn. There are photos of the presidents all over the walls. We ordered a drink from their holiday menu called Snowed In which was made with tequila and coconut. It had a sugar rim. This drink was pretty and super good. We also ordered the George W. Bush's old fashioned from their main menu and this was really good too! For appetizers we ordered empanadas and Tajin fries. I have a small obsession with fries so we tend to get fries to try. The empanadas were super good. Tasty and their mini sizes were perfect. The fries were tasty and came out crispy and hot but I felt it needed more tajin seasoning. They tasted like regular fries. This is a good spot to stop for drinks and even food. It's neat with all its decor. I will go here again when I do visit the Mission Inn.

    $24 margaritas!

Limited mexican food menu but what we did order was delicious! We opted for the cadillac margarita ($24) to drink and it was so good and smooth! To eat we shared the chicken taquitos, chicken tortilla soup and chips and guac. Everything was expensive, but what did you expect eating inside the hotel? We did have a $50 credit from the hotel which was nice. The soup was very good and flavorful. Good amount of guac for the chips. Service was friendly! Great people watching if you sit in the area that faces the hotel lobby.

Ordered wings for my daughter to enjoy. When she bit into one, they were cold. When I told one of the servers, his response was "what do you want me to do about it", very unexpected and unprofessional. Had to ask him to send a new plate out for us. Not what I would expect from the Mission Inn. The second photo, shows the replacement dish.

This is my second time being here where the wait time to be greeted was ridiculously long. I was not at the bar top, but at a table. My food was good, but my drink sat empty for over 25 minutes. There is no service flow. When the waitress did have contact with me, she was very friendly, but every time she came out, she handled one table at a time, never scanning her other tables or being mindful of what had arrived and what may be needed. I was so thirsty I literally chewed all of my ice from my empty drink. It's a beautiful place, sad it's not service minded.

The drinks were so good, I think they only use top shelf liquor, I ordered my favorite drink a Hennessy Sidecar, and they nailed it, it was perfection! We ordered chips and salsa and nachos, delicious! I know it sounds like basic food, but they don't do basic. The chips were freshly fried, the salsa was fresh made and delicious not too spicy, and the nachos were layered with delicious fresh made ingredients, the cheese sauce OMG, even the guacamole was delicious. Money well spent. The lounge itself is beautiful, very masculine, dark and relaxing, the service was great, and the drinks and food were excellent!

    Classic Margarita on the rocks.

Good classic margarita with a cute holiday touch. Service was good, but there's really no vibe in the lower bar area. The center tables give it more of a dining room atmosphere instead of a lounge.

Tent menu! Great spot for a classic Old Fashion!

Ask the Community - Presidential Lounge

Would you recommend this place after work for happy hour?

It’s a beautiful place to go for drinks but there is no happy hour discounts.

If I want to go with a couple friends or family do I gotta make a reservation at the mission inn or just walk into the lounge and start grubbing?

Just walk in, it's a public place. From the front door, the bar is to the right.

Can under 21 come to the lounge or is it strictly a bar?

Only on the bottom part where there are sit down chairs , children are not allowed in the areas where the bar is located

We're having a small elopement dinner after our wedding. Our party of 15 will be going to the Presidential Lounge at approximately 7:30 on Sunday October 7. Will seating be a problem or is a reservation recommended?

I know the presidential doesn't do reservations cause it's a bar it I would try and get there early and get a seat

The tacos on the menu for the special was a carne asada taco, a shrimp taco, and a chicken taco. These tacos are on a rotating basis every week. The carne asada was more like shredded beef. Both that one and the chicken taco were good but nothing special. The shrimp one on the hand!!! Now that is one i'd write home about. it came with four shrimp pieces , and the taco shell was fried and perfectly crunchy. I would come back for that one any day! The service for us was interesting. Service was super nice but we weren't helped for a while. i think our seating placement might have been right in the middle of both the servers' territory so there might have been confusion on who was suppose to help us? We were literally in the very center of the half booths lol. Eventually the male server came by and apologied for the wait and was very very attentive to us for the remainder of the time:) alsooooo the taco at The State Redlands are slightly bigger than these so i beleive the Redlands ones are more filling.

Drinks were ok and the place is beautiful but I won't be back bc I wasn't welcome.
