We did not order food it was room late. We had 2 drinks it was 20$ on a Thursday. Too expensive and not dive bar at all any more. 10 people and a very sad r&b... or bad d.j. and they took the guy off the ceiling. What a let down. Was better before!!! read more

This place is small in the stage concert area and has some pool tables with a bar in that area. Service was good, bar tenders were nice and sercice was fast. I didn't get food, I'm not sure if serve food. They played good music i heard one of my faveorite oldies i was surprised its an oldie but goodie. I'd come back, the dance floor is a little small but workable lol. The band was pretty good I love instruments the men played well. read more

The Hideaway Cafe & Lounge - Let's dance! - Pool Halls Near Me - Riverside, California

My sister and I came to The Hideaway for Depeche Mode night, and it was such a great experience! The venue was easy to find, and everyone we encountered was so welcoming and kind. Entry was a breeze--just $20 combined--and accessing the main room was straightforward. I've been coming to this bar for years, though it's been a while since my last visit, and I have to say, I absolutely love the vibe now! The changes they've made--turning it into an '80s-themed space--are fantastic. We had an amazing time, and the atmosphere was just right. The only downside is that it does get pretty hot in there; better AC would make it even better. Still, I'll definitely be returning for more night adventures! One more thing I did not get a chance to try their drinks since I don't drink alcohol but will definitely ask if they make mocktails. read more

Had a great time! Kenny and Erica were super fun and were trying out some new cocktails. Can't wait to comeback.

This new Big J's so cal bbq that's inside the hideaway is horrid! Overpriced, under portioned and lacking of flavor. The Bartender said its only been open for 3 weeks...in my opinion, it's been open 3 weeks too long! Needs a whole new revamp on taste and quality... read more

Service was great -- bartenders were attentive, we were about to leave and they offered us a few more drinks. Ambience- great music - we made it out during a rave night and it was really good vibes to dance and have fun Pool tables available Cover was half off In terms of food - we did not try any food items Rating: 8/10 read more

Diners drive ins and dives weekend. Stop number four for the old faithfuls of the community. There is so much potential at the hideaway. Not super crowded the pool tables are fun. Two located right at the entrance. A different atmosphere to grab a bite to eat and some drinks. No cover charge at the time we went. It is a unique place. There's a peculiar feel to it like the pirates of the Caribbean underground club for the pirates when they want to unwind after a day of entertaining. Who doesn't wanna hang out with the pirates?! Sounds fun. It's been years since we've walked down those stairs. We were expecting to enjoy some good music but the levels down there were hard to tolerate. A confined space and piercing sound with a live band. They need some help with this space. There's so much of it not being used to its potential. Such a cool spot just needs some adjustments and maybe acoustic treatments on the walls so there's a more controlled sound and doesn't just bounce everywhere making it so muddled. It's a prime location right in the heart of downtown. Maybe a speak easy addition? There are many possibilities for this establishment to excel for sure. It's already outstanding. read more

I've been lucky enough to hit up this place a bunch of times during college, and I even took my mom there once. It's got this really fun, chill vibe that I think you'll like if dive bars are your thing. The drinks are pretty cheap, so it's a good spot for a night out. Plus, it usually doesn't get too packed, at least when I've been there, which is a nice bonus. read more

It is a such a fun dive bar! The music is always popular and they have different event nights going on to just go and have fun and dance the night away? read more

Why does it say this place is closed? I'm currently sitting here inside the bar? Anyway, I love this place, love the trees and decor inside. Drinks are affordable and always has amazing music. The food is such a great addition & people are super nice. read more

Cool underground bar neon lights and just a great ambiance. Seen a live jazz show with some amazing musicians. Would def return.

Great ambiance. Drinks are a bit on the high end but they were strong! Fabulous time!

We had a good time at goth prom. I think the event cost $10 to get in. The venue was pretty full but not too crowded. We were able to get drinks at the bar without issue. The sound in the venue was fine to me. I usually wear earplugs but did not feel the need to here. Bathroom was fine, but yes it is only two stalls. This is a cute bar and I would recommend. read more

I was invited to go dancing to Latin music on a Friday night. It wasn't too packed, music was great, styles would change so it hit all the Latin genres. Cover charge was 10 bucks, not bad to dance and be care-free. There was a melting pot of people and that was beautiful! Try to upgrade your alcohol if you can, I would not recommend house tequila/vodka. Cheers! read more

If you're looking for a decent little dive bar with karaoke, the Hideaway's decent spot

Really fun place! Went to an event last weekend (goth tiki night), I had a great time, tickets were cheap and the Jell-O shots were yummy. Service was friendly and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. Overall, they seem to have a good atmosphere. Love how they book live music! Totally recommend. read more

We decided to stop by for a drink and there was a band playing I believe Morrissey's tribute and we ended up staying the whole night, we got so drunk that I lost my jacket, we walked outside and we mentioned it to the security guy, he literally walked inside and came out with it. I was so happy he made my night. Thank you so much! I wish I got his name. That was so nice of him. read more

Be very AWARE, Bartender might possibly be a thief taking your money! Went in for a quick beer while My wife grabbed a coffee upstairs. I ordered 1 beer which cost me $3. I left an additional $3 tip on my receipt. Woke up this morning with a flat $40 charge. YOU ARE A THEIF if this is true. Bank disputed the charge while it was still pending. Hopefully YOU have to pay it back. I will be taking this a lot further than this review. read more

Came here on an early afternoon on Saturday. There is a cafe upstairs where I stopped by to drink coffee and noticed the entrance for the Hideway. I thought it was an additional lounge area in the basement for the cafe. I was presently surprised to find a bar with pool tables. My son enjoyed their happy hour beer and shots. I take away a star because when I called on a different occasion they do not answer there phones and so not return calls when you leave messages. The reason I called was to get information about their establishment and hours of operation. Other than that I think it's a wonderful place to visit for pool, beers, and jukebox music selection. read more

Service and security support were friendly. The place was unique and different. Recommend trying it out

First time ever coming here. The place is nice, the band playing was good. The only thing that makes me give 3 stars is the bathroom situation omg the bathroom situation is bad. They only have 2 stalls in the girls bathroom, EVERY TIME I would go there was a long line!!! Some girls would even sneak in the guys bathroom to use it. I liked the place but just for the bathroom I don't think I would ever go back. read more

Horrible, horrible place. Their alcohol is bottom shelf and no doubt still watered down. Wanted to like the place as the bar itself is a cool little spot, but having no selection of spirits other than bottom shelf and still paying typical prices for them, your better off going to any of the other bars in the area. Feels like the bartender even dislike being there knowing that's what they have to offer.. surely no fault of the bartenders but ownership needs to take a look at what they're offering their customers if they're looking for repeat customers. read more

We haven't been here in a Lomg time. My husband was craving a sandwich. When we got there, they no longer served food. We did stay and had a few beers. Oscar was the bartender, and he was great. If you like dive bars in a college town, it makes for a great night. A few seats, few tables, cheap drinks and big ole' dance floor. DJ was killing it on they might we were there. As we were ready to leave she said I'm about to kick them out and one of her friend said I will fucking kick them out when we respond back she didn't say anything she thought we didn't speak english I felt she was being racist never ever going back . Best music EVER!! Good atmosphere, nice crowd, great bands, awesome drinks! Nice staff, lovvvee itttt

I've gone here a total of three times and tonight was by far the worst. The environment was not very welcoming this time, yet the security inside was very attentive. I went outside with my 2 friends (we are all girls) while we waited for an Uber. A man came up to us and wanted to record us. He called us "b*tches, tr*mps, and wh*res" and would not leave us alone. The security guard outside (Oct 6th 1AM) simply watched us get harassed and laughed. I won't be going back here because they do not attempt to create a safe environment. read more

The Hideaway Cafe & Lounge - Ready to dance off into the wind - Pool Halls Near Me - Riverside, California

Cool vibes, good service, and fair prices. Saw a cool band there and it was super fun

Hideaway cafe is a cool little bar/eatery/pool hall/dance hall/sports bar, that's pirate themed in the lovely land of Riverside. I mean, there's not much to see here in DTR so Hideaway is a definite tourist stop, if you will. I was here during art walk, where they featured an art walk special that was so special, I had to show the staff that it existed. The deal was $6.95 for a sandwich, chips and a drink. The sandwich was a classic ham sandwich on white bread. Upon receiving this beauty, my boyfriend raved, "I could've made that at home." Sorry boyfriend, I'm having my night on the town and trying to appreciate this side of the river and your attitude is not going to ruin my classic Riverside sandwich. Even though it looked basic AF it was still a pretty good sandwich. They also had $3 Mexican beers and featured Ballast Point Grapefruit and Golden Road Heff on tap. He says this place is pretty happening on the weekends with a line out the door and I believe it. If you're in the area and you want eat a sandwich and get lit, Hideaway cafe is your destination! read more

Live Dj, great drinks, pool tables, the bartenders are always nice, what's not to love about the Hideaway?

Establishment was one of the few we came to check out, they didn't offer any top shelf alchohol drinks here (Goose, titos, black label, jack etc.). Crowd is on the younger side on Thursday nights so for being in my 30s made me realize I am not that young anymore lmao. Place is cool looking with the decor and has a chill feel to it. Probably wouldn't be back but for younger people I recommend checking it out. read more

This review is strictly for the café, where great sandwiches are made, not the bar or lousy excuse for a nightclub. I have found the sandwiches here to be consistently good, and friends too have enjoyed the recommendation over the years. I especially like the potato salad as a side choice, just like mom made, simply delicious, nothing fancy or pretentious. Until that short-lived Mazz at the Central Plaza closed, the Cuban sandwich here was runner-up. Now they are the defacto champ, and the panini-style grilled presentation is perfect. Pulled pork meets cheese, pickles and mustard. Still working my way around the menu, but BBQ beef is good, as are the custom built choices. I can't comment on the soups, but I am sure they are worth trying. Taco Tuesday is worth checking out. At $1 a choice of carnitas or pollo filling is outstanding! I preferred the moist and flavorful carnitas to the chicken, and the fresh salsa was very good as well. Domestic beers are only $2 so with tax I had a nice snack for less than $6 before tip. read more
