My sister and I came to The Hideaway for Depeche Mode night, and it was such a great experience! The venue was easy to find, and everyone we encountered was so welcoming and kind. Entry was a breeze--just $20 combined--and accessing the main room was straightforward. I've been coming to this bar for years, though it's been a while since my last visit, and I have to say, I absolutely love the vibe now! The changes they've made--turning it into an '80s-themed space--are fantastic. We had an amazing time, and the atmosphere was just right. The only downside is that it does get pretty hot in there; better AC would make it even better. Still, I'll definitely be returning for more night adventures! I didn't get food, I'm not sure if serve food. They played good music i heard one of my faveorite oldies i was surprised its an oldie but goodie. Diners drive ins and dives weekend. Stop number four for the old faithfuls of the community. There is so much potential at the hideaway. Not super crowded the pool tables are fun. Two located right at the entrance. A different atmosphere to grab a bite to eat and some drinks. No cover charge at the time we went. It is a unique place. There's a peculiar feel to it like the pirates of the Caribbean underground club for the pirates when they want to unwind after a day of entertaining. Who doesn't wanna hang out with the pirates?! Sounds fun. It's been years since we've walked down those stairs. We were expecting to enjoy some good music but the levels down there were hard to tolerate. A confined space and piercing sound with a live band. They need some help with this space. There's so much of it not being used to its potential. Such a cool spot just needs some adjustments and maybe acoustic treatments on the walls so there's a more controlled sound and doesn't just bounce everywhere making it so muddled. It's got this really fun, chill vibe that I think you'll like if dive bars are your thing. The drinks are pretty cheap, so it's a good spot for a night out. Cover charge was 10 bucks, not bad to dance and be care-free. There was a melting pot of people and that was beautiful! Really fun place! Went to an event last weekend (goth tiki night), I had a great time, tickets were cheap and the Jell-O shots were yummy. We had a good time at goth prom. I think the event cost $10 to get in. The venue was pretty full but not too crowded. We were able to get drinks at the bar without issue. The sound in the venue was fine to me. I usually wear earplugs but did not feel the need to here. Bathroom was fine, but yes it is only two stalls. Came here on an early afternoon on Saturday. There is a cafe upstairs where I stopped by to drink coffee and noticed the entrance for the Hideway. I thought it was an additional lounge area in the basement for the cafe. I was presently surprised to find a bar with pool tables. My son enjoyed their happy hour beer and shots. I take away a star because when I called on a different occasion they do not answer there phones and so not return calls when you leave messages. The reason I called was to get information about their establishment and hours of operation. Other than that I think it's a wonderful place to visit for pool, beers, and jukebox music selection. read more

I left an additional $3 tip on my receipt. Woke up this morning with a flat $40 charge. YOU ARE A THEIF if this is true. Bank disputed the charge while it was still pending. They only have 2 stalls in the girls bathroom, EVERY TIME I would go there was a long line!!! Some girls would even sneak in the guys bathroom to use it. I've gone here a total of three times and tonight was by far the worst. The environment was not very welcoming this time, yet the security inside was very attentive. I went outside with my 2 friends (we are all girls) while we waited for an Uber. A man came up to us and wanted to record us. He called us "b*tches, tr*mps, and wh*res" and would not leave us alone. I mean, there's not much to see here in DTR so Hideaway is a definite tourist stop, if you will. I was here during art walk, where they featured an art walk special that was so special, I had to show the staff that it existed. The deal was $6.95 for a sandwich, chips and a drink. The sandwich was a classic ham sandwich on white bread. Upon receiving this beauty, my boyfriend raved, "I could've made that at home." Sorry boyfriend, I'm having my night on the town and trying to appreciate this side of the river and your attitude is not going to ruin my classic Riverside sandwich. Even though it looked basic AF it was still a pretty good sandwich. They also had $3 Mexican beers and featured Ballast Point Grapefruit and Golden Road Heff on tap.
