The bouncers hit on you and are mad when you turn them down. Soooo thirsty, I wish the bouncers were more professional. It's honestly annoying and intimidating as a woman going in. We went and it was just us girls, the man outside... Amir, I believe.. He was great and then when we get to that door us girls had to deal with some mean and thirsty bouncers. Who we're even more mean when we turned them down. Like dude you're at work. It's honestly annoying and disrespectful. Specially the bigger thirsty disrespectful one, this was on 07/02/26. Club Riv is a great spot, the sense of community is real, met the friendliest and chillest people here, it's a good crowd. I love that they do a Y2K night, more places need to do that, but I would also like some 2010s music in there, give us some Ke$ha and Rihanna! Drinks were good and strong! Do not come here if you are a postpartum woman. I recently came here with a friend of mine. We both recently had kids and were looking for a night out. I went to the bathroom once because if you know you know you can't hold it anymore after you have kids so had to go to the bathroom again. Was barely getting to the door and a security guard stopped me and my friend told us we are done and to follow him. We explained we're just trying to go to the bathroom. He told us it doesn't matter. Follow me you guys are done and left us in an alley. Luckily, we weren't drunk only had a few drinks. And were able to call a friend still inside who was our ride. I will never recommend this place and I will not be returning. The bathroom that I went into downstairs also did not lock so I had to hold while going, and someone tried to walk in. You would think since this place looks so nice the bathrooms would at least lock considering they have a worker in there who turns on the water for you and gives you a napkin to dry your hands after you wash them. But some places don't care about you and this is one of them don't waste your money here. Drinks are overpriced too. About $40 for two drinks. read more

Had a very mediocre experience here! Went with a friend last weekend only to stand in line and find out there was a $15 cover charge! I inquired what the club was about that would make it worth paying the $15. The lady working answered me that there were three dance floors in addition to an upstairs area. We were about to leave, as I live in LA and have never in my life paid a cover charge and I've been to some of the hottest clubs in LA and Vegas! Then, the manager came up to me and my friend and offered us to come in for free, so we decided to check it out. The ambiance was fun and all but there was a huge wait to even get upstairs and while I enjoyed the music, it wasn't the best set I've seen. I definitely would not pay the cover charge to go here, but I would go again with free entry. The lighting was nice as well and we didn't try the drinks as all the lines were just too long! read more

I actually had an amazing time!! The bouncers were super nice and didn't treat the men with the girls and I poorly. The drinks were made very well too and definitely kept the vibe going. Came on a Friday night early June and the line inside to go upstairs didn't move all night. They just kept people waiting with no intention of actually letting them in just to make it look like a "high demand club". Once upstairs, it's just a regular club. Genuinely nothing special and nothing worth waiting in line for. Don't waste your time. Fullerton, Pomona, and even other clubs around Riverside I've been to have been 10x times better than this one. Pointless line to go upstairs with such a long wait it's ridiculous, if people were allowed to go upstairs and back down freely the atmosphere would be 10x better and there would be more engagement on the first floor. The drinks are ridiculously expensive for no reason, you're better off going to another club that is actually worth the money to get in. My friend left her phone AT THE BAR, we walked out of the club at 1:23 am. When we realized we left the phone, security didn't let us back in because they were "closed" at 1:33 am ! Even tho we told them we left our phone at the bar downstairs by the entrance they denied us. So they never let us in, we watched the iphone location leave club riv by 2:05 WHICH COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED. Second thing is dress code. The African American security dress codes someone in our party, for an all black solid ben davis one weekend. We go in, and see other guys with ben davis's, this weekend we go and someone in our party is wearing a " 99 " MESH JERSEY. A non sports jersey. And security makes us take it off for the second time. Dj's were skilled in music transition and Both floors are equally fun. It did not seem to have a strict dress code at this time. This location definitely elevates the Downtown Riverside night life. Hands down, thee worst "club" I have ever been to! My group and I are so bummed that that is where we spent our 2025 new years eve. $35 entry fee per person which was average to clubs nearby. The DJ was TERRIBLE, awful music and mix. Did not know how to transition songs and would go from one genre to another within 10 seconds and ruined the flow and vibe. My group and I love to dance, we know clubs, this place was seriously awful. Drinks were EXPENSIVE and were basically water if you ordered a mixed drink; $15 for a vodka soda aka water. We started ordering drinks in a can so we knew they weren't watered down. The countdown to 2025 was off by like 7 seconds. The employees walking around in their suits were also rude and tacky, walking by and just shoving you to get by. Literally worst experience ever. Would not return here. read more
