Rather than attempting to resolve the situation, Brian argued with me, belittled me in front of other patrons, and repeatedly emphasized that he had been doing his job for over 30 years. I found his conduct to be unprofessional, disrespectful, and unnecessary. The delay in submitting my order was entirely beyond my control, as I placed my order before the lunch service ended. Instead of focusing on finding a reasonable solution, Brian chose to degrade me publicly. I also felt that I was treated differently because I am a Black man. While I cannot know his intent, the manner in which I was addressed and treated left me feeling discriminated against and deeply disrespected. I am extremely disappointed by this experience.
